✓ Enjoyment Despite GripesI really enjoy the game. And since there are no new Futurama cartoons, I have to get that fix somewhere, right? I just wish that ALL the characters, particularly from the limited time events, were available to late-comers to this game like I was. (I was pretty annoyed when I realized I CAN’T get Nibler because I missed the limited event!) My other gripes revolve around leveling costs, especially when it comes to higher levels (many of the advancements take an obscenely long time to build up to); having to rely upon randomly generated character chips for certain characters, character types, and character skins; the cost to build buildings with very little monetary return; and the difficulty in navigating angles to build New New York to look more like a city than a bunch of jumbled buildings (it would’ve been helpful to include a rotation function.) All said though, I like the game! And I’ve sunk a lot of time into it. I’m not keen to drop real money on mobile games, either, but at least I can still play without having to do so (unlike other games I could mention where it’s impossible to progress without doing so). Also, the pizza slice log in reward was a welcomed touch in my book. Hope it only gets better... if they’re still working in the game, that is, and not being cancelled... like the show was..MarsGhostVersion: 1.6.6

✓ SwindleI've stuck with the game since day one and found that in order to get anywhere, you have to spend half your day EVERYDAY on the app - especially during events. Drop rates waver quite significantly (as in you rarely get the things you need when you need them most). Even the ad-supported videos are limited to two and they don't appear most days - meaning you can't even use the offers of downloading other (more terrible) apps and games in order to bolster you Pizza reserves. This has gone in the direction of Tapped Out and Quest For Stuff in that depends too heavily on mictotransactions to get anywhere. The game structure is poor in that once a character is gone, you gain NOTHING after putting in all the effort only to find you needed one more item drop. The space missions are somewhat repetitive and you cannot progress to earn more Hypnotons without spending money on Pizza or Nixonbucks or whatever temporary item is on for any given event. What we have is a copy and paste job that merely changes characters and adds an extra tier of in-game currency to get anywhere with it, highlighting the greed. All it does is trades on nostalgia. ✓ I used to love this game...I love the show and loved this world building game, however it has gotten ridiculously difficult and time consuming. I work hard to clear space in my town to place more buildings but the hypnotrons are very difficult to find and obtain. Also, the whole crusade to find a new character, find an area to place the building they’re associated with, then working for weeks to unlock them absolutely destroys any fun in this game. It’s time consuming and boring to send all of my characters on missions to find the necessary items to unlock them, because I can no longer play the game since my characters are constantly busy, and the fact that the items are classified in a way where I can send Fry on an 8 hour mission to find one but there’s a slim chance to even get it at the end. I would recommend doing away with the unlocking system since playing the normal game is hard enough. Also, the seasonal missions are boring and waste the time spent to collect items and hypnotrons. ✓ Nostalgia!Come for the nostalgia, but it has one of the most unforgiving gameplay mechanisms I've seen even for a game of this type. This game absolutely deserves one star, but just because I'm giving it one star doesn't mean Futurama fans shouldn't try this game. It's free, and you get the voices. But as a game, it is just anti-fun. There's a drop rate based on RNG, so you can't play according to your schedule because something may not drop. You can't plan out how to get drops. Right now, there is the October 2017 Hell on Earth event, and there are space missions where you have to sit there and grind about 10 battles. In each battle, you make your characters fight monsters at 1 damage per hit for an over 200hp enemy, and it takes 8-18 minutes to complete a battle. And you just have to be there just to make sure your phone doesn't turn off so the battle is successful. There's no gameplay, you just have to be awake, and bored. What's worse is that if you spend money on premium currency, you can supposedly bypass some of this hassle by getting more bombs that can kill these enemies, but even then, the management of the bombs is so hard, due to the learning curve and a bomb capacity, that even the paying customers probably have a difficult time progressing on this event. So, this is just a game that isn't fun, and paying money isn't going to make the game more fun. But, the nicest thing is trying to get some of favorite characters, if you are ever so lucky!.Rice GamerVersion: 1.4.3

Here's the part that's annoying: This game piles on the leftist politics. I'm in the part of the game where it's the global warming (now called climate change) issue. In the recruit-Bill-Nye scenario battles, some of the opponents are called "denier" or other terms currently assigned to people who disagree with the science (or lack thereof) modeling that is the foundation of the climate change hysteria. Bill Nye (NOT a scientist, only a mouthpiece) is currently being ponied up as an authority by the media, and is now in this game. This and other politics does not belong in a game. Please. ✓ Typical World builder, but some frustrationsOverall, TinyCo have done a good job here. If you are a fan of worldbuilder games, and futurama, you will probably enjoy this. However they use a mechanism of randomness to the rewards for completing tasks. This means, especially when there are limited time tasks or events, you can do what is neccessary and not be rewarded and have to do it again. Until this is fixed, players cannot finish quests, events, and often the only people who can reap rewards are cheaters. The system deliberately slows down player progress and then presents tasks that players cant possibly do because they havent progressed enough and cant in the alloted time. As a result, this game only gets 2 stars until they fix this. Also be warned if you do spend money on this - to date bugs that do occur have generally not been compensated for. The constant use of special currency also makes the game unenjoyable because I now have hundreds of thousands of the default currency in the game but it's worthless because there's nothing to use it on. I still wanted to at least try it out. First the quests are all over the place with no real sequence but you can’t do the part of the quest until you get your character a certain level. So I get to level 10 still not at the level you need for the quest. Need to farm an item to expand level but don’t get enough of said item to level. Then each planet has certain branch paths that can’t be used until you reach a really high level. See previous statement about leveling. Next missions on each planet show a recommended level which you can’t play until you level each character. Have a team of 4 but need to be level 20 and each farm run doesn’t give you enough badges to promote/level. It has become a life sucking chore with no hope for tomorrow not fun and has been deleted. ✓ BoringI love futurama, but the game itself is very boring. There is very little space to design your city, so the fun is zapped out of that. The game has a sort of Pokemon-style minigame mixed in, but this requires a hell of a lot of grinding to even begin any sort of experimentation with team compositions. Even after grinding the combat still is extremely static. Think Pokemon, except every Pokemon only has one basic attack command that produces a status effect. To upgrade your characters to unlock status effects, you collect badges. Certain types of badges are available on certain days and you have limited fuel per day to collect those badges. This forces the player to pay to farm. The worst part is that this combat mini game is necessary to progress in events where the majority of characters are unlocked. It makes the game no fun at all. The grind is ridiculous for a mobile game. The game itself is tosh; it feels rushed and focused on marketing for in-App purchases. There is little love here from tinyco, and if it wasn’t for the fact I love futurama, I would have deleted this game. I typically switch apps every 6 weeks or so because I simply lose interest or get annoyed that the developers create a situation that REQUIRES real funds. But not so the Futurama. The story line with Bender's mom, I legit cannot even go into the first battle without it saying loading... and just not actually loading. It's odd because the cargo hold is clickable, but nothing else. THE GAME WILL PROMISE YOU 4-star badges for completing a quest, then only deliver 1- or 2-star badges. It can take endless questing to earn the badges you need to level-up your characters. I reported this, and it was acknowledged but never fixed. It will promise you specific items, but you will get to the end of the quest and not get them. Again, reported — not fixed. This game uses virtual pizza slices as a form of in-game virtual currency. You can either use real cash to buy them, or earn them by watching ads, or by completing 100% of certain quests. I saved up over 1000 pizza, and logged on a couple days ago to find over half of them GONE. No explanation, nothing was purchased. TinyCo’s lame Customer Service pinheads have refused to restore it for me, claiming they cannot find anything that could have caused it. Well I’ll tell you, it is utterly impossible for me to have “accidentally” used over FIVE HUNDRED pizza! And TinyCo was compensated with REAL MONEY for every one of my ad views, but won’t restore their worthless in-game pizza that I EARNED through game play. So beware! ✓ Great Fan Pleaser But...I downloaded this game a few days ago after seeing it advertised on the App Store. I got into the game and noticed a few annoying bits. You can’t move the Planet Express building or the power lines next to it, this kinda makes sense as it’s the classic layout for the building next to the bay. The road building systems is THE klunkiest road system I’ve ever had to deal with. You have to “buy” the roads from the shop (they’re free). And lay them in a straight line one road at a time and you have to line them up just right to get them to connect. Then if you decide you don’t like road how it ended up you have to exit the shop, go into the doctor mode, delete the ENTIRE stretch of road you just built, exit the editor mode, and go back to the shop to lay the road again. It’s incredibly time consuming and the the way the roads have to line up really hinders the customization aspect of the game. That being said it’s a great fan game with, just all the tongue in cheek humor you expect from Futurama, you get the original voices and phrases from the show. The mission system is decent and not terribly boring. The customer service system is appalling too - It crashes when you complete a space mission but you'll still lose resources, which I was told would be fixed in an update. Several updates later and it's got worse - I've been trying to place a building for three days and it crashes every time. At this rate I could build a real house quicker! The only way I've found to 'save' my progress is to level up a character, which uses in-game money and resources, or you can use the ridiculously expensive 'pizza currency' which either costs real world money or you can earn watching videos (which often cause the game to freeze/crash/go back in time ten minutes and undo anything you've managed to accomplish) or by playing other games, which frankly turn out to be a lot better. A lot of the interesting characters can only be bought with pizza and are really expensive and rarely, if ever, have any impact on future quests or storylines, making them completely pointless. After acquiring them and spending ages levelling them up just to complete their character quest you'll probably never use them again. In short - don't download this game. ✓ Fun with a few headachesI started playing about 5 weeks ago. It is both fun and frustrating. I came in during the end of the Robot Mafia event. New players don't have much of a chance since certain characters and districts need to be unlocked to progress in events. This aside, I did spend a little cash to get fanny and Joey mousepad. For the next event I was more prepared and still unlocking areas and crew. The events and goals are fine for the most part. The Cornwood outfits and dialogue are great as expected. My reason for the 3 stars is some of the game rules for leveling actually punishes you for being higher lvl. This is done by increasing the time it takes to regenerate fuel. At low lvl it was 5 minutes per unit. Currently at lvl 20 it takes a full 10 minutes. Why even increase your fuel meter if your going to double the time to replenish? It's just one of those greedy moves by the developer. Other games I've played simply increase your energy meter without the increase in time aspect. One other change they can make is concerning events on earth. Why do you need to spend fuel when cornwood is in New New York? You should get so many entries for quests based on your activity but some other form of entry such as the dice or something else you can earn or trade for..ClannachVersion: 1.5.9

✓ Huge fan disappointed by greedy devsFirst off, I am a huge fan of Futurama but this game has a ton of glitches (freezing during boss battles, loss of collected items, notifications cause audio to stop working, and game crashes when contacting support just to name a few) and the gameplay seems to be “throttled” to encourage users to spend money. How so? Items often need to be collected to complete challenges and to collect characters. Items can be common, uncommon, rare, extra rare, or epic (depending on how often they are expected to appear). Many times common or uncommon items will not drop for days despite there being multiple item sources and me checking the app every couple of hours. The same old scenario plays out each time and I am forced to either pay real money to complete the challenge/get the character or miss out. ✓ Love Futurama but this is ridiculous.Just read into all written low star reviews and that’s pretty point on. The biggest low blow to the fan is the level 30 point. To move on to Zoidbergs planet you have to have your team leveled to 31 but to get to 31 you have to have the specific job badges to do so (plus Nixon bucks) - so basically you can’t progress unless you just shell out the money to pay for the badges, and that’s a lotta dough. For a CLOCK HOSTAGE & Extremely Slow Build gameplay this isn't great, but not awful either. At the deletion stage of gameplay. So before I delete the game, final reviews. Firstly the build part of the game takes way too long. Shorter build times will lower game rejection a tiny bit. Audio samples are overused for some characters (Amy’s “oh yes” and Kif’s line). I am mostly repulsed by the lack of enjoyment in gameplay despite a faithful adherence to Futurama character design and accurate scripted characters attitude. Bongo Comics managed to successfully retain the enjoyment aspect in regards to unfolding storylines, but this game was obviously designed for multi-year play through (which is why the characters are so weak at the outset as you will have more powerful characters that will breeze through early levels six months from now). Which is good planning in design, but has a much steeper play curve in the beginning. Not only do you have to get chips to level up your player, you also have to spend you Nixon bucks along with it. That means you don't make it very far in any storyline or side quests unless you drop major dollars. Buildings don't put out very much money and you can probably make it through three maybe four times on a planet to get a character maybe a few levels (one level,if you're lucky, after lvl 20). I've played all of the side quests and don't make it anywhere because I don't have the character requirements ever. ✓ What happened?I started this game when it first came out. I was so excited. But the game play is super slow going. You have to get certain drops from certain missions. Some times you get one or two, others you get nothing. So you find yourself doing the same mission 20 times to earn enough drops to move on. That’s not even close to the worst part. I have maxed out my levels (both character and game play) and money with no where to go because the game hasn’t been updated in six months. No events or extra characters. Nothing. ✓ Meh...Futurama is one of my favorite tv shows. I’ve seen every episode and has some of my favorite tv characters of all time but you would think that this game would give you all the main characters early on like The Simpsons: Tapped Out or Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff right? Wrong. Some of the main characters like Leela, Dr. Zoidberg, Hermes, etc. you have to wait until your way farther into the game and if you don’t spend money on the game then the game goes extremely slow. Instead you get Scruffy who was only a recurring character before most of the major ones. The only major characters you get early on in the game are Fry, Dr. Farnsworth, Bender, and Amy and that’s it. Also this game has limited building space which normally I wouldn’t complain; Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff had limited building space, but it’s actually nearly impossible to lay roads because unlike tapped out or quest for stuff where you lay roads by dragging your finger therefore you can place roads anywhere and the roads will fit, in this game you have to place roads as individual blocks that are exactly the same size and a lot of times the road won’t fit. The spaces you unlock are also much smaller, sometimes so small you can only fit one building in the space before needing to spend money unlocking more space. ✓ Too time consumingThis game started out much like Family Guy: Quest for Stuff or Simpsons: Tapped Out. A game where you build the world of some of your favorite cartoon characters. Space missions started to become more and more prominent and were a new/interesting thing to add to the gameplay. Eventually that was 90% of what you do to earn stuff during the events. However, you are also expected to upgrade your characters and their costumes to higher and higher levels to compete and actually come out anywhere in the events or to actually earn something you may want to have. Upgrading characters? Ok... outfits? Are you nuts? To top that off, once you try to upgrade past 30, you have to have tokens for your characters class along with upgrade tokens. You can only get certain class tokens on certain days, and if you play other apps or don’t have time to devote to space missions over and over and over again, you fall way behind. This app got too ambitious with what it wanted to do, and ultimately turned this fella off. I offset the data for the app about 3 weeks or so ago and haven’t missed the stress of trying to compete when I really have no way to do so. ✓ Incredible grindNow with the update no one asked for, it takes over 100k in cash to upgrade someone to level 30, including 2 goes round the level 2 daily mission, then if you want to upgrade past 30, it takes another 2 goes round the daily mission, plus up to 8 goes round the 3 Star mission and then another 30k cash, not including the thousands in career chips for each level. All the while running round the weekly missions dozens of times to get enough pointless gems to build useless items. Accidentally click on the wrong screen when it pops up and you’ll end up spending hundreds (and often thousands) of pizza just to add health and revive your character on another pointless mission. The second being areas that don’t unlock even if you have the artifact. There are no guidelines for when an event ends, the requirements in game to unlock items are usually "rare" drops set to 8 hour character actions. This means that it is unlikely that the needed part will drop in that period of time. Of course you can buy the required items to unlock new characters, which may be the end goal. The game can be fun and gameplay is decent. Some of the game mechanics are a little confusing and need work. Missions are rather basic, with very little storyline or content. The overall appearance of the game is good, but the gameplay/mechanics don’t quite live up the appearance. The ONLY way you can currently save you gameplay online (so it won’t be lost in the event you lose/break your device) is using Facebook, which me personally I have completely removed Facebook from my life; very frustrating when trying to play on 2+ different devices. The game play crashes about 10% of the time. The bombardment of advertising (for in game specials and 3rd party offers) when the game is first opened is obnoxious.
