Happy customerHard to master , and addictive . Good version of the card game ..Version: 2.4.0

Great game!I’ll end up buying the card game because of this app.Version: 1.8

Fri-tastic!This is now my go-to solitaire game. Almost perfect implementation..Version: 1.4

Amazing game and appLove it.Version: 2.4.0

Very addictingImpossible to win, but very fun to keep trying. Every bit as fun as the board game, but easier to play. Only gripe I have is that if I accidentally hit the wrong button I can't undo it..Version: 1.7

Nice addition to my phone card game collectionNever played the board game, but once this clicked with me I was able to enjoy the depth that is not as apparent at first. My only issue is that it's hard to take the game seriously when I see the main character's face. He looks so ridiculous, haha. He could have a more serious Castaway look or something 😉.Version: 1.6

Can’t put it downVery challenging 5-10 minute deck management game..Version: 1.8

Great implementation of the board game!Nice to have a handy portable version of this game. You need to read the rules thoroughly though and/or watch a video on it so you know what you’re trying to do..Version: 1.5

Best solo "board game"I owe and enjoy the physical copy of Friday. As an avid board-gamer I have quite a few solo games and this is he best. Great digital implementation..Version: 1.4

Great but caught a bugExcellent app version of a terrific solo card game. However, there is a bug: the sound won’t stay off. No matter when I turn it off, it doesn’t remember the setting. It sometimes turns the sound on mid-game. This is not a great bug when trying to be discreet and jungle drums suddenly erupt from my speakers. A fix with the next update is worth five stars..Version: 1.8

Decent port of a fun solo card game that need UI improvementsAs far as solo card games go, Friday is one of the best (up there with the Oniverse series like Onirim). The theme is fun and this is one of my favorite games from that designer, Friedemann Friese (along with one of his newer economic games, Futuropia). However, the UI (User Interface) on this port needs some work. I find that the touch controls are not responsive enough and sometimes I press an arrow or button and I’m unsure if it registered the action (this rarely happens in other apps so I know it is this UI). I know the programmers are working on this so with any luck this might be an issue that will be remedied. I wouldn’t mind a higher resolution interface as well (especially for tablet use). While the vertical layout of the game works great on my iPhone (when I’m on the move), I much rather prefer playing this game on a tablet when I’m at home. Such is the case, a horizontal layout would really benefit this game. Similar games have adopted that option (Onirim for example) so I know it can be done. I’ve played this game on an iPad Pro (1st gen), iPhone 5C and XS and haven’t had the game crash once so I can at least attest to it being a stable build. If you like solo games I would recommend supporting the programmers who are still working on this fun little game and buy it!.Version: 2.4.0

Awesome gameAwesome game.Version: 2.4.0

Excellent implementationFriday got me into board games. I love solo games. This is an excellent implementation of one of my favorite games. I just wish there were more of Friedmann Friesse’s games on the App Store.Version: 2.4.0

Good with minor flawsInteresting game that have finally managed after several plays to beat at first level. Really need to read rules carefully. Perhaps UI could be improved. One Q - have not been able to find way to discard one in vision / order next 3 cards. Is this a bug? See also Pocket Tactics website for reviews of this and other mobile app games..Version: 1.8

Great game. Still buggy.I live the game but it has some bugs that haven't been fixed with the updates. No/poor backgrounding is one of my biggest issues.Version: 1.5

Great Solo AdventureThis deck builder can be frustrating in the beginning, but as soon as you learn to leverage the cards to your favor, you’ll find success. The app plays true to the physical card game. This game has invaded my dreams. It might do the same for you..Version: 2.4.0

Good adaptationI own the physical card game and am a big fan of this version as well! I also like the leaderboard of high scores every week. However, the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it doesn’t save all of your scores and give you a winning percentage for each level. I think this would be a very easy addition. It gives you a place to record your scores in the physical card game rulebook to keep track and try to beat your high score. The app should do the same. Edit: I just found where your high score is saved so at least it does that.Version: 2.4.0

GreatA bit of a learning curve, but plays just like the board game. It’s nice to have it digitalised, there is less thinking involved this way! 😊.Version: 1.6

FridayDo you like stress? Do you like breaking your phone? What about punching holes in the wall? Well, this game is for you! You play a moron who gets deserted on a island. Little by little this idiot slowly harms himself, possibly by staring at the sun too long, and tries to live. If you manage to get to the end, pirates come! Yes, those one eyed, pegged leg, parrot loving wack jobs try to kill you. So, that is Friday. Even though you feel like curling up in a corner and crying because of this game. I still love it!!!!.Version: 1.7

BrilliantGreat game and a great implementation to app..Version: 1.8

Just like the board gameMight be a little confusing if you do not know the rules, but if you have played the board game, it’s great.Version: 2.4.0

Game is good, app needs help. This game is hard. I need clear help from the rules but, the rules are for the card game and don’t help with the app’s gameplay. There is a tutorial, but it is sorely lacking in how to actually play step by step. I shouldn’t have to search online gameplay on how to play. In addition, the app crashes on a regular basis. I paid for these troubles?.Version: 2.4.0

So addicting! It takes some time to learn the ropes but well worth it! Lots of new strategies are discovered the more you play. Ten stars..Version: 1.8

Friday (card game)Better than the card game... you don't have to shuffle yourself 😂.Version: 1.4

A classic solo card game😎.Version: 1.6

AddictiveGreat board game - great app. Really, really addictive. Love it..Version: 1.8

WonderfulI really like the board game, perfect to play when I travel or at the beach, and I love this iPad version that facilitates all the resolutions of the skills. Well done! In my opinion way better Friday than Onirim..Version: 1.7

FridayGreat adaptation of the card game. I actually enjoy the card game more because I learned the game mechanics on the app. But it’s always nice to have a short game on the phone for those moments when you have a few minutes to wait..Version: 2.4.0

One of the best solo games out there!I own the physical game and this is a gem. I recommend you still get the box game which is the price of about 3 lattes. The app handles all of the shuffling and setup. If you know how to play already, you will understand the app version after your first game. The best way to learn before you get started is read the instruction manual on a PC first. Love this game! Solid mechanics and skill will prevail over luck. For the developers it would be nice to see when your deck is reshuffled which acts as a mental note that your played cards are now back in play again. Also I tried to see which cards I had played during the green phase and don't think I was able to see them. I was down to the last two cards in the challenge deck and wasn't sure how many of our 5 total starting attack points that make up the starting deck I had played. I wasn't sure if I had what I needed to beat the level 1 card I had chose..Version: 1.8

FunAs good as the board game..Version: 2.5

Good gameI have the original board game which I really like, this is a great app version.Version: 2.4.0

One of the most beautifully designed solo card games in existence.I keep coming back to this one again and again. It's chock full of interesting decisions and myriad ways to mitigate bad luck. The rules are relatively simple for a game with such depth, but it's tough to win, with a steep how-to-play-well learning curve but all the more satisfying for that. There are enough options to tweak the difficulty, to allow even the best players to be challenged but also allowing a more casual and victory prone experience should you just want to relax. It's a case study in modern game design, demonstrating how depth and complexity can be generated from individually simple interacting elements. Friedemann Frise is a genius. If you love card games or want to take a step beyond all those patience variants, then it's a no brainier. Buy this before you buy your lunch..Version: 1.8

Great GameI haven’t played this game in years. I was excited to see it in the play store and $4 is well worth the hours of entertainment It would be great if it saved high scores.Version: 2.4.0

Really great adaptation.Pros: Quick, fun, and challenging to play. Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve so tutorials/tips would help. Overall: Great game. I have physical copy of it and loved it so much, I picked this digital adaptation up so I can play when traveling..Version: 2.4.0

ExcellentI have never played the physical version of this game, but was curious to see how it played. Bought the app and love the fact that it does all the setup and counting for me. Really enjoy the game. Learning curve not very steep and finally won first level 1 game after a few tries. Recommended.Version: 2.4.0

Gréât fûnAlways enjoyable to play.Version: 2.4.0

Good when you can’t have the real gameI love this card game so I’m probably biased. This is my go to time killer when I need a game to fill a couple minutes. Updates have fixed some early issues. Everyone who loves solo board games should own this one..Version: 2.5

Not just FridayThis is an amazing game and a well-designed app that perfectly recreates the card play. Ingenious, challenging and rewarding.Version: 2.4.0

Great potential, let down by bugs and poor implementationI gather things have been done since launch to help new players along (though the rules seem like they’re written for the physical version), but we’re still left with the occasional bug that won’t allow for pressing a button, and no BACK option if you’ve changed your mind about a move. Also, if you lose, the game crashes. This hasn’t appeared to cause lasting damage so far. I’ll be sticking around to see if this gets tweaked, but caution to potential buyers; there’s fun to be had here but you might get your patience tested..Version: 1.8

Worth the effortThis games takes a little while to figure out but the strategy is so rich and fulfilling. It’s super addictive and fun to play!.Version: 2.4.0

FridayFaithful to the card game! I wish it had a way of saving my game even when I close the app, but it doesn’t need it. I’d still play the physical game before I pick up the app, since it’s hard to learn a board game on a phone. Great game overall!.Version: 1.8

Can’t go wrongPerfect port for an already perfect solo tabletop board/card game..Version: 2.4.0

Excellent game, needs better tutorialI had never played the physical version before, so I was coming in as a newbie with this app. The game itself is definitely one of the best solo card games out there. It’s excellent. It’s also very challenging, and it takes quite a while to figure out how to win, even on the easy level (which isn’t exactly easy). Plus some luck is involved as with all solitaire games, so things have to line up right for you to win. If you’ve played the game before, you’ll figure out the app easier than someone like me who didn’t know how to play. Even then, it’ll take you a few plays before you figure out the UI, as even with the limited help the UI is not intuitive. If you haven’t played the game before, you’ll have to watch videos online and visit some game user forums. That was the only way I could figure out how to play. That’s why I docked one star; there is no real tutorial. Still, now that I figured it all out, it was worth it. This is a very cool game. I lose way more than win, even on easy, but it’s still very fun to play, and it feels really satisfying when you do win. Thank you developer for making this game and also monetizing it fairly with no ads or IAP. That’s rare nowadays and very, very much appreciated. I highly recommend this game with caveats about the UI learning curve. Stick with it. You’ll end up loving this game..Version: 2.5

GreatIf your on the fence if you want to get this game in real life, get it here, I don’t think I would play this in real life but not having to go through all the card set up makes this app worth it..Version: 1.8

Fantastic!Super challenging but so rewarding!.Version: 1.8

Best board game app!!!!This game never gets old. Be aware that if you don’t know anything about deck builders this might confuse the crap out of you at first. This game is super challenging and fun! I’m pretty good at it and I still only win 1/3 games. I like that in a game. Keeps you on your toes. Another great win by Friedemann Friese!!!.Version: 2.5

Wish it had an undo buttonI love this game, but it needs an undo button for when you hit the wrong button. I meant to draw a card, but instead I hit the "give up on hazard and take my life point button. That's a 5 life button mistake..Version: 1.5

Needs tutorialOnce you know how to play this is a great app but there is minimal explanation as to what to do and playing through it a couple times doesn’t seem to help. I had to watch a YT video to figure out how to play and now it’s super fun. Brutally hard but the physical game is notorious for being insanely difficult. Poor Robinson just wants to fight the pirates and get home to his family!.Version: 2.5

FridayGreat app great card game.....hk.Version: 1.8

Awesome Solo GameI love the physics version of this game. It’s great to be able to play it with the app when I’m away from home..Version: 2.4.0

ChallengingEnjoy this solo game - not easy to win!.Version: 2.4.0

Great solitaire gameThis game is fun, challenging, but light. There are a few stages of the game... after many plays you realize you can tweak your strategy and improve your win % even further, again..Version: 2.4.0

GGood.Version: 1.8

Worthwhile version in need of a better English translationThe rules are a digitized version of the print rules, so are hard to read. The English used in the game clearly wasn't written by a native speaker. That said, it's good enough to have completely replaced the real life card game for me!.Version: 1.6

Good gameI love this game. The physical game. The language has been fixed. I just wished I had a way to see how many times I have won..Version: 1.1

Perfect travel game.I have played the boxed version of this game for years and enjoy it. The app plays exactly like the original boxed game and is great for travel. Plays quick and is just as much fun as the original..Version: 1.8

Solid adaptation of the physical gameFriday is a fantastic solo card game and this version does a great job of making it easy to jump in and play..Version: 2.4.0

Addictive but hard to learnI love this game but the rules are poorly explained. However, it’s really very simple to play once you figure it out, and you won’t want to put it down. The original card game is worth buying too, but watch a YouTube video to see how it’s played....Version: 2.4.0

Excellent solo gameRecommended.Version: 2.4.0

Lots of fun!Excellent implementation of the card game!.Version: 1.7

Great funAs a fan of the card game, this is an excellent implementation!.Version: 2.4.0

Favorite solo gameThis is an honest and true recreation of the classic board game. My favorite solo game of all time. This app is a smooth adaptation of the game. You will find your time flying by as you delve into this very challenging game. Enjoy!.Version: 2.4.0

Strategic, replayable solo gameTook a while to wrap my head around the gameplay and rules but really liking this. Surprisingly deep strategy solo game, good for 5-10 minute breaks. Recommend watching videos on BoardGameGeek to learn the rules and gameplay, since the included instructions are a bit clumsy. Also I had trouble with the app crashing on iOS 13 but a delete and reinstall did the trick. Minor complaint: don’t really like the art..Version: 2.4.0

Great single player gameGreat single player game to play when you don’t have the actual card game to hand.Version: 2.4.0

Great fun quick game to playRules are easy to understand after playing one or two games of it..Version: 1.4.1

Good gameIt’s a pretty good game. A couple things I would like to change. Like I wish it had a shuffle animation for when an aging card was added but still a fun game.Version: 2.4.0

Frustrating in the best waysI have not yet played the physical board game but from watching videos I can tell that this is a great adaptation. Might have to get it after this. I like the leaderboards as well Edit: Have now played the physical game and this makes upkeep so much easier if not non-existent. Wonderful little app..Version: 1.6

Faithful adaptation of card gameI like it quite a bit. It could use a back button to go back one step when you quickly pick the wrong card or forget to use all your life points to trash cards, but you get used to it. It’s otherwise quite good. I wish it said “Friday” on the home screen and not the German translation though..Version: 1.8

Good game!Do you plan on adding more languages like French? The physical game already exists in French (and I own it too); I guess this should be fairly easy to implement into the digital version. Also, the title of the game on the main icon is in German (!) Thank you for considering my requests and keep up the good work!.Version: 1.8

AddictiveAs the solo boardgame. I play everyday..Version: 2.4.0

Nice port of the card gameThe game plays in a convenient length of time. Not having to shuffle the decks is great. The fact that the app enforces the rules means that I no longer make mistakes (so I don’t have to restart my games). The high scores and achievements keep me playing..Version: 2.4.0

Fun and something new all the timeThis game is fun and addictive. I play multiple times a day. Each game is different. I love the tournaments. A+ in my books..Version: 2.4.0

Superb SolitaireI play this digital version as well as the card alternative. This is a very challenging game that will take several attempts for the beginner to win. Once having won, there is a scoring system that sets the challenge of bettering your own best score. Initially a new player may have to make references to the rule book, but after a few plays the game will speed up and flow more naturally. There is just so much repeat play value in this fiendishly devised game that I don’t think other solitaire type games will get much of an airing. Once you begin to beat the game with a level of consistency ( Not yet in my case ) there is the opportunity to play against others on the periodic “ King of the Island” Tournament. I haven’t yet gained the level of competence to join in on this yet ( Coward )I believe that the combatants are paired in opposition and are dealt the same cards. Each player then plays on as if playing solitaire but they are positioned in the league in accordance with their scores. This digital version works without any glitches whatsoever and is a perfect representation of the original card game. Highly recommended ..Version: 2.4.0
