I expected more for the priceI totally respect the originality and intelligence behind the game, and I have enjoyed playing it, but... It is really hard for me to grasp how to succeed beyond level 1. So I think overall it is geared way to challenging to quickly. It crashes every time I try to continue a saved game in level 2 There is no king of the island. There is never a connection to any online page. There are no statistics of past competitions. I was disappointed about this. Maybe I’ll try to buy the card game from amazon..Version: 1.8

No tutorialWith no tutorial (and the rules seemingly directly copied from the physical game, rather than being written for the app) this is unplayable if you don’t already know the game. Lazy developing..Version: 1.8

No tutorial, no app specific rulesThere’s probably a great game here, but without a tutorial it’s hard to tell. The rules are the ones for the physical game (complete with unnecessary explanations on shuffling and setting up the cards, which is irrelevant to the digital game.) To make matters worse you can’t check the rules while playing the game. Lazy implementation, making it a frustrating experience for a new player..Version: 2.4.0

Great solo board game, okay iPad gameThe user interface for this game could’ve been much better. Apparently they really stuck to the art layout of the card game but it is harder to determine what stage your life etc. are. There’s also apparently no undue and the interface is a little confusing if you have any abilities left to play. You really have to own the board game to make sense of it all but I am still glad I purchased this game..Version: 2.4.0

FreezesSeems like an ok reproduction of the physical game, but difficult to learn from the app if you don’t already know the rules. YouTube is useful for that. Unfortunately there is still a freezing bug if you lose the game, which requires closing and exiting the app completely before reopening to get to work again..Version: 2.4.0

Okay but...Great game, but app often freezes on “Lost” screen and has to be deleted and re-downloaded..Version: 2.4.0

Great game IF YOU KNOW THE RULESThe rules are almost impossible to read on a phone. I don’t need glasses but I had to read the rulebook from the physical card game..Version: 1.8

Great gameLet down by poor implementation. No tutorial. No undo button which is an absolute must. The 2 main buttons that control the game are very close together. It's very easy to hit the wrong button by mistake. This needs fixing immediately as I have given up on many games due to hitting the wrong button and in doing so losing lots of life without any cards to destroy (the devs and users will know what I mean). At £3.99 this is a bit shoddy but I love the actual game..Version: 1.0

Too glitchy for the priceThis game crashes or glitches every other game which is ridiculous for this price point. Also there are almost no instructions or rules if you haven’t played the game before. Seems like it could be really fun and could live with the learning curve if it wasn’t constantly crashing but at this rate what’s the point. Do not buy..Version: 2.4.0

CrashesHalf the time it crashes after losing the game. Would have filed a. Ug report but there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to get in touch with the developers. Would also like to see an undo for some of the actions. Otherwise a fine rendition of the board (card) game..Version: 2.4.0

No in game tutorialHope you know how to play Friday because there’s no in game tutorial. The rule book is there but there’s no way to read the rules/how to play while actually playing the game..Version: 2.4.0

App crashes, must restartThe app crashed while I was fighting the final boss, completely losing my progress. The lack of being able to pause the game is a huge oversight. Since then, I’ve not been able to play due to frequent crashes. Note: this is on an iPhone X. It’s a bummer too, because the gameplay was smooth despite some UI issues..Version: 1.5

Some IssuesThe overall game is great, but I prefer the digital version. There’s some oddities to the UI and rules that make it different from playing with real cards. There’s strange additions that don’t exist in the original rulebook that make the game mostly just more annoying to play. When using certain abilities and then later using a card that removes that card from the play area, that causes the ability to be undone. This is not a rule present in the physical rulebook and drastically limits your potential. A worse change is that you lose the game if you make your deck too efficient and capable of drawing through the whole deck. In the original rulebook it specifically says that you continue playing as normal without gaining new bad effects from shuffling once you’ve used up all the bad effects. I do not know why this change was made, but it did not improve the game, in my opinion. The inability to play with the original rules, which I think were pretty much perfect, makes this game sort of undesirable for me to play. The change for losing makes the game too random, because you can’t easily strategize around accidentally making your deck too good..Version: 2.4.0

Great but...This game is definitely entertaining and challenging, and I wish I could have given it 5 stars. The UI is functional but substandard when compared with other modern apps. There are frequent crashes and “File delete error” alerts. My biggest complaint is that a paid game should never show pop up advertisements. This one does, although infrequently. Fix the bugs, drop the ads, and this game would be great..Version: 1.8

Love the game but the UI needs workThis is a great game, but the UI is not intuitive. One example: the choices after clicking to exit a game seem backwards. You would think the x would exit and the return arrow would return you to the game. Also, I wouldn’t need to exit the game if there was an undo button for when I accidentally click to finish a turn because I forgot I was in the yellow (or red) level and thought I had gathered enough points to win the card but only had enough for the lower level. Also, when you have to stop in the middle of the game you have to remember to choose the same level you were playing before or you will get an error message (and there is no indication that you have a game in progress). Again, love the game itself, but the lack of an undo button when I misinterpret the UI is very annoying..Version: 1.5

Buggy :(I read online this game would be fun, but the app is so buggy. I tap OK and the game is frozen. Also there is no tutorial and the rules are so hard to read on my iPhone and theyre basically just the physical game rules as in it includes the set up of the game which on an electronic device I do not need. I had to watch a video because it was so frustrating reading through the rules and the interface is NOT user friendly. As for the game it is only mildly interesting but to me it’s basically a convoluted version of black jack. I do not recommend this game..Version: 2.4.0

Woefully Difficult push you luck. Will RAISE stress and BPCan’t say I enjoy this. Very hard. Every so often I get within reach of winning then die in the final battle. Also the instructions on the cards us a bit confusing as to what they do. Game I had just prior to this review I ended prematurely because it was not clear I was ending the game instead of wanting to review the cards in my hand.Version: 2.4.0

Love the Game, Tolerate the AppFirst, I’m glad I have the app. It allows me to play this challenging game in a wide variety of situations. I have countless hours into the game at this point, thanks to the app. That’s the good. Now for the not so good. 1) developer support is non-existent. I’ve contacted them many times about the following issues without a single acknowledgement. 2) The app cannot seem to understand how to use a single account between two iOS devices. I’ve been unsuccessful in using the same account between tablet and phone. 3) Tablet support is lackluster. It does not rotate for using a tablet in landscape mode. 4) The app is very buggy on iOS when leaving the app with a new or continuing game in progress. Many times when launching the app again, there are programming errors displayed and you eventually just have to abort the game. Attempts to get action on these bugs and issues have fallen of deaf ears. If I didn’t enjoy the game itself so much, I would have deleted this app a year ago, given these issues and lack of support. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was the balance of 5 stars for the game and 1 star for app bugs/lack of support..Version: 2.5

Cool game, rough implementationFriday is a great little solo deck building game. It’s great to have the game bailable on mobile, but the adaptation needs some work for people that aren’t already familiar with how the game is played. The English translation seems a bit questionable as well. Regretted the purchase initially but thought it would get smoothed out with updates. That apparently isn’t going to happen. Oh well..Version: 2.5

I can’t play thisPlease please do an update for this app. I can’t get past the sign in screen. Everything moves up so I can only see the bottom of the screen..Version: 2.5

I can FINALLY access the leaderboards! This latest update has, for the first time in YEARS, let me access the leaderboards! Hold on, how do I register my email address? They mention something about adjusting it in Settings, but I see nowhere to enter an email..Version: 2.5

Needs work!Let me first start by saying the tabletop version of this game is excellent, maybe the best solitaire game going? This version looks the part, original artwork used and the interface is clear only showing you relevant information at any given time, very nice. The button locations are sometimes a little off, and sometimes I keep pressing OK and nothing happens? The game is made for German language, and has the English language option easily located on main screen, but the translation isn't the best on some of the cards. I can also understand why people unfamiliar with the game are struggling with ought a tutorial! All this aside the main gripe I have is that there is no save function!? You have to leave the game running in background until finished or you lose all progress! This game should auto save at the turn of each card, it's the only way it could work to prevent cheating. A game of Friday can take at least 15 - 20min when you are familiar with the game, so this save issue really needs sorting and soon! This game should be 5*! But unfortunately it needs a bit more work :(.Version: 1.3.1

Don’t waste your moneyFriday is one of my best solo deck building games. Buy the card game instead, so many bugs that developers won’t fix What a waste of money for that price Shame.Version: 1.8

Great game....howeverThis is a great game, it does take a while to get to grips with the rules, but boy is it worth it when you do. My one criticism is the bug that causes the game to freeze at the end of the game, very frustrating.Version: 2.4.0
