The Talos Principle for Positive User Reviews

BrilliantSuperb live action puzzle game, with a backstory that is intriguing and engaging. A previous reviewer said it's a shooter game but it's not that at all. You need to play for 10 minutes before you see what the game is. It's basically a series of puzzle areas where in each one you have to figure out how to get the "sigil". It's a huge game with loads of areas. Well worth the money. As some others have said there's an occasional glitch where the view suddenly points up, but that's a minor thing. A more fundamental problem is that a couple of puzzles require a fast sequence of movements that's very tricky with the iPad interface, e.g. "Egyptian Arcade". But overall this is a brilliant game with hours and hours of play..Version: 1.4

Pretty goodNow, don't get me wrong, I still prefer the pc version of the game (I don't own a PS4.) but this game actually works pretty well. The graphics are ok, not the same but still acceptable. And the overall game, although I only played a bit of world A1, is extremely similar. Unlike the LEGO console and DS games, which are noticbly different, this games puzzles are exactly the same as the pc version. If you want the full experience, I would reccemond the PC or even the PS4 version, but if your looking for a cheaper or more portable version, I would get this one. Regardless, the game is great no matter which version you get..Version: 1.3

Great gameI liked everything about the game except how you move.Version: 1.4

AwesomeAwesome game!.Version: 1.4

Amazing puzzle gameThe amount of effort put into this game is incredible. The game is very challenging and has so many secrets and extra content. You will literally spend hours and hours solving problems and progressing the storyline. The only complaint I have is in some of the puzzles you can “die” which resets everything you did in the puzzle. This can be very painful in some of the longer puzzles and make you want to stop playing. I think having check points in these puzzles would have immensely improved the experience. Still, for what it costs it’s the best value for money you’re going to get on the App Store.Version: 1.4

Beautiful and amazingThis game has brought me much more than I thought it would. The puzzles are sincerely genius and the learning curve is perfect. It starts off fairly easy and gains difficulty quickly. There are also many secrets to discover in this game. The secrets, while not required to find, are very satisfactory when you find them. I only have 5 stars left to find and will continue to look until I find them. I got to admit though, some of these stars seem impossible to find. Thanks developers for creating a great game. However, some of the secrets can not be gotten because of the controls..Version: 1.4

Good transitionI’m so glad I can play this game on iPhone and I hope we see the DLCs gets released on App Store as well. As for the game itself, like witness, controls actually work amazingly. however, partially a sense of free exploration fades away with the existence of auto pathing through tapping. It’s not a big deal but it takes away something. Although you can freely switch to virtual gamepad or use your own game controller and experience the game just like the pc version. Gameplay is as fantastic as you expect from this game. Puzzles start very simple and they extend to unimaginable challenges through a 20 hourish journey. Visual are actually amazing, draw distances are not as good as other versions but it’s a pleasure to see textures are high quality and crisp. Although it’s very odd to see the game runs on a variable FPS, for many parts seems above 30fps and for many parts seems just 30fps. I rather they locked it cuz it gets annoying sometimes. Overall recommended if you love playing puzzle games on iOS like me !.Version: 1.0

Amazing PuzzlerWell worth the purchase price (under $10AUD when I bought it). Hours and hours of play (don’t worry about overcommitting though, it is broken up into 5-15minute puzzles, perfect for a phone game), you never get bored as they combine multiple game mechanics in a ton of different ways. This game has beautiful locations, amazing music, and a really well thought out story (which is so awesome I want to spoil it here but won’t!). The attention to detail on level design means the whole play through feels really organic (objects and clues to the solution aren’t just given up because they feel out of place). This game has tons available for completionists as well, the secret/hidden things don’t feel like a cop out that only geniuses can solve, the game always leaves a decent hint around if you’re paying attention (except for that ‘clock’ one in world ?A3?, the clue probably needs a bit of fine tuning devs). This is the best puzzler I’ve ever played (or equal best with portal), even better than the room series (as amazing as they are)..Version: 1.4

Great portPlayed this on PC years ago so good port, just a couple levels that are frustrating cause of the touch interface. Has a large amount of puzzles especially if you do all the stars and star levels. Great fun!.Version: 1.4

A real game!Omg a real game on ios instead of tepid 5 minute free money grabbers. I was giving up on mobile gaming. Great game. We need more content like this, Xcom, This World of Mine etc....Version: 1.2

Simply one of the best out thereI bought this after much consideration thinking it was a bit expensive but I wish I had bought it right away. Not only is the game beautiful to look at, the ease of controls and the increasing level of complexity made for weeks of play. Some levels are extremely difficult but in the end, the game teaches about the use of limited resources and how to make the most out of them. This game is largely non-violent outside of being blown up by mines which is actually an aspect of strategizing the game teaches as your progress. There are no time limits so it’s not stressful in that way. The amount of game time you will put into this will amaze you. I played it nightly on my iPad for nearly 9 months as a way to relax. Online videos showing hard to find Easter eggs will add hours to your game play. The “philosophy” aspect of the game was intelligent and thought provoking. In the end, it was one of the most satisfying games I’ve bought and I’m hoping they develop part 2..Version: 1.4

Lovely game, but the end?A great game, innovative and beautiful. But was left dissatisfied with the ending; as there are multiple versions depending on what you choose - but then to have to redo the game in entirety to choose a different path is frustrating - especially with how long prison break took me to solve! - to the extent that I’ve not bothered to go through it all again find the last star , and complete level 6. Good game though..Version: 1.4

Great game, frustrating controls at timesThis is a great game with just about one flaw: the touch area for selecting objects is too small, especially in the default tap-to-move mode. If it were only 50% larger in radius I’d give this game a 5+ rating. As it stands however, touching a sentinel robot just a few pixels off not only fails to target it, it **steps toward** the sentinel, ensuring your demise. Virtual gamepad mode helps address this, but is a bit clunky itself and it remains frustrating to poke poke poke the screen. Given that I have the whole rest of the screen for look gestures this seems a safe fix. Another easy interface change I’d like to see is that the jammer’s “drop” button remain even if a target is in sight. Currently, to drop the scanner targeting nothing, you have to stop moving, look at the sky, and then hit drop. Together these flaws made Labyrinth in particular nearly impossible, even in virtual gamepad mode. Finally, when using the prism reflectors many targets fail to show up until you “nod” the view back and forth a few times. I often would get my guy in just the one right spot to reflect everything and then find that when I tried to pick the target I’d step out of position. Don’t understand why visible targets lose their buttons. (Spoiler alert for my last comment) ... ... ... For the final puzzle, exclude all codes with the number 8. It’s too easy to think that’s the level you’re on. Mine started 88 and so I took no notice of the clues..Version: 1.4

A most remarkable gaming achievementI've never had a game instill feelings of complete awe or terrifying vertigo, or made me think deeply and philosophically about my worldview. How amazing to luck into getting this on sale during the holiday season for 99 cents! 8 months later I finally finish it and now want to go back and play it again (even though some of the levels were irritating to the nth degree!) I question if the game is really completable without an external controller (Eagle's Nest), but overall I found the virtual gamepad to be easier to work with on most things than my GameSir T4 (don't even try to use the Tap&Swipe option!) By far the most immersive gaming experience of my life, thank you CroTeam!.Version: 1.4

HiZero problems on the IPad Pro 2nd gen. Game runs flawlessly and is perfect with a controller!.Version: 1.2

Outstanding Production Quality - Great PuzzlesSurprisingly huge amount of content. Thinking of other $5 mobile games, I thought I was about finished, only to find I was just a quarter way through! They say it’s 30 hours of content. That might be true if you knew the solution to every puzzle and clicked straight through. It’s easily five times that. Two favorite things about the game: 1. It provides many satisfying “...but what if I... ah ha!” moments. (Sometimes you have to put it away for a day before the answer comes to you.) 2. The amazing soundtrack that changes personality to match the world you’re in. It’s one of the few games I play with the music on. Two “nits”: 1. The touch target could be more forgiving. (If I’m tapping on a drone that might kill me, I probably don’t mean I want to walk towards it.) If we’ve figured out the solution to the puzzle, it can be frustrating to be foiled by the mechanics of the controls. 2. Yes, like another reviewer said, we miss some of the terminal conversation text as it scrolls by. I’m just hoping they weren’t pivotal clues to the final solution. Thanks for producing a great game, with amazing attention to detail, at a steal of a price!.Version: 1.4

A masterpieceOne of the best puzzle games I have ever played. It starts somewhat slow, but the puzzles become increasingly more difficult and satisfying to solve as you progress through the game. There are dozens of secrets and Easter eggs in it, while the philosophical questions the game raises are really interesting and thought-provoking..Version: 1.4

Fantastic Game! This game really has had a huge amount of effort put into making it. The developers and story writers have done such a fantastic job and have delivered an amazing product for what I feel is a very low price. The amount of hours of fun puzzle solving along with the excellent storyline that makes one think more deeply about humanity and consciousness is totally worth the price of the game. Can’t go wrong with this purchase!.Version: 1.4

Love it to bitsThere’s only one slight problem, the menu buttons don’t work so well on the iPhone 11. I played it on my iPhone 7 a while back and loved it, it I wanted to come back to it, just a shame some of the things are off screen on the iPhone 11.Version: 1.4

Love this gameFantastic. Great puzzles. Very thoughtful background and philosophy..Version: 1.4

Fantastic portReally impressed with the job done on the port of this great game. If you have seen the screenshots and are concerned about performance don’t be. I am playing on IPad Air 2 and the game looks fantastic and runs flawlessly. Steal at a fiver. Thanks. Edit: sometimes the camera randomly looks up at the sky or down at the ground. Not taking away a star but please fix. Cheers.Version: 1.1

Intelligent, thought-provoking, beautifulThis is the most intricate, thought-provoking, and genuinely clever game I have ever played. The game play is smooth. The main puzzles are fascinating, difficult but not overly so. But the real beauty of it all is in the extra content. Finding the secret levels and Easter eggs, playing through the different endings, solving the mystery of who you are, what you are, where you are, when you are, and what is going on is hands down the most enjoyable experience I've ever had while gaming. This game is so beautifully designed, and the intelligence that went into all of it is appreciated..Version: 1.4

Talos. PomSuper de juteux mais patience.Version: 1.4

A masterpieceThis game is BEAUTIFUL. There is no other way to describe it, the graphics are unreal and makes me want to explore. It’s inviting and a refreshing alternative to other puzzle games. Believe me, $8.99 is totally worth it for a masterpiece like this game. The game is puzzle based but also requires you to explore the world to find the pieces you need and it isn’t boring doing the puzzles, there is some difficulty going further through the game but it has a good balance of fun in it. Playing through it you can tell no corners have been cut and even with it being so long, you always want to come back for more. 5 STARS.Version: 1.4

Will ruin your life and phone batteryCan’t stop playing this game. I have to charge my phone 10 times a day, but I can’t playing. Superb visuals and interesting though sometimes very hard puzzles. And a great story. Get this game !.Version: 1.4

Amazing GameThis is an amazing challenging strategic planning puzzle game. It really has you thinking ahead before you make your next move as like in chess. The graphics are phenomenal. This is not a game you will finish in a day. I like that if you get stuck on one puzzler you can still move on and go through the many other doors and go back and solve the ones you were stuck on. This game is worth every penny I paid. The developers put in a lot of time and planning on this one..Version: 1.3

Just brilliantI’m a fan of The Room series and Da Vinci and although this is very different it has got me hooked. Most similar in format to Witness but it’s so difficult to compare as it’s unique. Would have to guess I’m about 1/3rd in but honestly can’t tell. That’s a good thing! Starts gently then the challenges, puzzles and discoveries start to ramp up. There’s a really intriguing narrative running through the game so you don’t feel you’re just wandering around aimlessly. It’s well worth the money Best comment I can write is that it makes you want to give it one more go (again)!!.Version: 1.4

So happy I found this game!Loving the game so far..Version: 1.3

Will not download on IPad AirAfter multiple attempts at downloading, I have given up. Plenty of space, latest iOS,connections good, half an hour later it’s past the 50% mark and just stops? Frustrating +++. I did eventually manage to download onto my IPhone 6s but I really wanted to play it on my IPad. Pretty disappointing.*****UPDATED REVIEW******** After clearing a few more apps I finally got it to install with 4.2G of room. Very pretty game, taking a bit of getting used to controls but really enjoying it..Version: 1.3

IPad with controller is amazing. This game is amazing. THANK YOU for the controller support. Using a controller on the iPad for this game really is the closest to a console-like experience I’ve had. I was also pleasantly surprised to see it running at what seems to me to be a solid 60fps. Very well polished, clean, looks great, hours upon hours of entertainment. I love the mystery, the cool hexadecimal hidden text, and well thought out puzzles. I love seeing games turn the industry on it’s head by doing something different (incorporating philosophy and such) I Wish there were more games out there like this..Version: 1.4

AAA title for $5I’m only about an hour in and I am entertained, intrigued, and very pleased. This is easily one of the best games available for iOS and deserves to be permanent resident in the top sales charts. If you’re perusing the reviews to decide if this is worth buying, my opinion is a resounding “yes”. Solid and satisfying puzzles are the heart of the gameplay; immersive lighting, graphics, and ambient sound effects create a beautiful and believable world; top-notch voice acting hints at your place in this world; and an excellent plot and presentation keeps you searching for answers (and questions). The only negative points I saw in the reviews pertained to a somewhat frustrating default control scheme (switch to the virtual stick in the menu found in the upper-left corner of the screen), and occasional downloading problems (bug Apple). Scrolling through the reviews, I’m impressed that the devs are paying a lot of attention to what is, for them, an older game (originally released in 2014). As someone who paid for Bioshock and Xcom (not cheap by iOS standards) only to see them abandoned and unplayable, I appreciate Croteam’s commitment. Apart from the obvious references to Greek mythology and Paradise Lost, I’m also picking up vibes from Portal, 2001 - A Space Odyssey, and even the original Battlestar Galactica (the first voice reminds me of the Ship of Light). Just my impressions, and I’m sure others will have equally varied thoughts. TLDR summary- buy it..Version: 1.4

Very good, couple of caveatsIt's a very good game and has beautiful graphics (as is to be expected of a port of a pc game) but also will heat up your phone and has slightly clunky controls (as is to be expected of a port of a pc game). All in all, though, it's an absolute steal at $5. My only real criticisms for the game itself are that some of the 'puzzles' involving the robots feel less like puzzles and more like the reflex tests of an action game; and that it's not always clear when the game is saved (there's a saving indicator on the pc version — I guess that didn't make it into the mobile port?.Version: 1.4

Great GameWould love to see more graphics customization options. Something like a 30FPS with higher graphics mode, or just outright full control like the other versions. Otherwise, fantastic..Version: 1.3

Dev doesn’t like my reviews? All I have to say is good things about this game but my reviews are being removed. Talk about censorship..Version: 1.4

Fantastic game, but sometimes crashesOverall, I’m maybe about half-way through the game and it is breathtaking. Graphics are incredible and the puzzles are very challenging, not to mention the story is thought provoking and intriguing. However, I am playing this on an IPhone 6s and find that the game occasionally crashes. It helps when I use low battery mode and airplane mode but I don’t know if this is a compatibility problem or a problem with my phone. Luckily, the game is fun enough where the crashes aren’t a deal breaker..Version: 1.4

HethSuch a magnificent game, the graphics are lifelike, you feel like you’re there, even the weather conditions change. From the deserts of Egypt to the snow in the high mountains. You’re brain is challenged on so many levels, from trying not to get killed by the patrolling mines, to the strategies of working out the laser connectors. As well as thinking laterally in the hunt for the stars, you also need to learn and master the tools you earn to solve each gate of each level. The only massive dissatisfaction I have, is that Talos Principle two still does not exist, and that Road to Gehenna is not available for IPad. Come on, get this happening, please ....Version: 1.4

Great port of a fantastic game, needs to be updatedThe iOS version of this game is super well optimized, on my iPhone 13 Pro it actually plays a lot better than my Xbox One X (worse image quality, but much higher and more stable framerate). This game does need to be updated to support ProMotion, the frame rate is consistently high and but persistent judder makes it feel less than entirely smooth..Version: 1.4

Massive glitchWhat I've been able to play of this game so far is pretty solid. Unfortunately that's not much because on my iPad Air every minute or two the screen will just go black. I can still move around and die, but nothing short of restarting the app makes the screen return to normal. It makes what I think is probably a great game pretty much completely unplayable. Hoping for a fix, but until then, 1*..Version: 1.0

Great puzzlesGreat game and was enjoying it until this last update. I liked having the hand button on the virtual game pad. Having to hold my device and move with the left thumb and view with the right, it was easier to have the jump and hand options down at the bottom right of the screen. Now having to click each object individually slows things down and makes it hard to accomplish timed puzzle objectives. Hope there is a way to change it back or at least have the option to toggle it for some users. Thanks for the great game and consideration on this feature..Version: 1.4

Fun game, great storylineHad a blast playing this. The puzzles are challenging but not impossible. Often, the answer to one of them would come to me just before I went to sleep at night or after I went and tried a different level for a bit. By the time I reached the last part of the game I was totally engaged and curious about how it would end. Hope they make a part two or a similar adventure! Thanks to all the developers and various teams who created and helped get this game out to us. You guys are awesome!.Version: 1.4

Unable to Download st this time??!!Please sort this out.Version: 1.3

On iPad so far so good...UpdatedUpdate - I was able to download on iPhone by going to my account and touching Purchased - there the app was with download arrow. So the “glitch” is when you go to the app page on another device to download after purchasing on first device it shows $4.99 - go to your account (touch the face icon on upper right and go to Purchased - there it is to download. Developer was quick to respond with suggestions on how to resolve which didn’t work so I figured it out on my own. Increased Star Rating to “4” - thanks. Initial Review After seeing Meet the Developers and App Store ad about the game I bought it on my iPad Pro - loads A-OK and enjoying the initial gameplay. When I went to download onto my iPhone the App Store indicates not a download arrow but another $4.99 to purchase for the iPhone on same Apple ID - Huh? Hope this is a glitch and not expecting us to pay for the app by device..Version: 1.2

A requestI love this game :) I play it on iOS and on Stream. Different ways of playing it due to virtual joystick on iOS- it’s more difficult on some levels but it’s still good :) Any chance of including Road To Ghenna on iOS please? Pretty please? Pretty pretty please? With sugar on top? Also any chance of Talos 2? Yes I know you love Serious Sam but I really don’t but I REALLY REALLY love TTP..Version: 1.4

Smart, addictive, philosophicalBest game I ever played on iPhone.Version: 1.4

Amazing PortI just learned yesterday that my favourite game of all time received a mobile port. While this isn’t the best way to play this game (the Gold Edition with all dlc goes on sale for cheaper on Good Old Games very often), it is still a great way to experience the game. The puzzles in particular are very fun to go through, whenever I have a second I can pick up the game and attempt a puzzle or two. For fans of The Talos Principle this is a great way to experience the game in your free time. For newcomers I would stick to other ways of experiencing the game if you can, but this is still a great way if that isn’t possible..Version: 1.4

Good gameReally nice to this on my ipad.Version: 1.4

Really fun gameThis an a very entertaining game. Lots of puzzles. The virtual game have been improved with this update which made made easier to control in tight spaces..Version: 1.4

AmazingTalos is an amazing game. Simple in concept, open gates using lasers. Logic and patience is the only way to get through this game. Something so simple, yet puzzling enough to keep you thinking. Beautifully designed, controls are easy. Hours of game play, definitely worth the download..Version: 1.3

Fantastic! I can’t wait to play this againUpdate for iPhone X: one small bug. Please change the persistent iOS home indicator from being persistent to auto-hide. As it is now, not only is it too easy to accidentally go home, the bright white bar really distracts from the game’s visuals. I loved this game on steam. I can’t wait to play it again on iOS. So far, the graphics are awesome. The controls are a bit strange, but you can revert to a traditional two-stick scheme, which might be easier in some of the later levels where timing is critical. Bravo for bringing this awesome AAA game to iOS!.Version: 1.4

Great game!!I downloaded this game a while ago and played about half of it but then didn’t play it for a while as the game got a bit repetitive. Overall an amazing action/puzzle. Definitely would recommend it for ages 14 plus as the puzzles can become challenging as the game progresses..Version: 1.4

Perfect port of a terrific gameThis is an extremely playable mobile version of the PC masterpiece. Developer very quickly resolved graphical glitches from iOS 11. I still very occasionally see objects flash primary colors but it’s not a distraction or something that happens regularly. The game looks and plays great on my old iPhone 6. Curious how the controls hold up in the later levels where puzzles require fast complicated movements. Play this game, it’s fantastic!.Version: 1.2

Good version of a great game, needs additional supportPlays well adapted to touchscreen (big fan of the original on PC). Some glitches so far where screen has frozen while gameplay continues in background, only fixable by restart (which can mess up item locations in longer puzzles or hub world trickery).Version: 1.1

Great port, but in dire need of an updateThis game is a great port of a PC classic, and for that it’s great, but this game is in dire need of an update to support new devices. The first problem is that it doesn't support running in full screen on new iPads, it also doesn’t support keyboard and mouse input on these devices. Additionally, it doesn’t seem like the graphics have been updated to take advantage of the power of newer devices. Finally, it would be nice to have iCloud sync Other than the fact that this port needs updating it’s pretty great and well worth the low asking price.Version: 1.4

More like thisAs thought provoking as it is beautiful even the sound track is brilliant. One of the best strategic puzzles ever..Version: 1.4

Spectacularly AddictiveMade me question what I means to be human. Exquisite graphics, wonderful soundtrack and gameplay. And the Easter bunny would be jealous of the dozens of Easter eggs and multiple endings. Philosophically like Tron, you play as the proverbial “program” on a quest to find himself. Question and enjoy everything. Take time to gain mastery of the player controls, as harder puzzles require more precision. Love this game and completely addicted to playing it. 2nd time through now, and it’s still fun.Version: 1.4

Great Game! This game is fantastic, A+++! Tons of very challenging puzzles, very interesting premise. (YouTube solutions are there if you get really stuck!). This game is big , 2GB so probably would play best on newer tablet hardware, older hardware may not be very good. Although other reviews were negative I had no issues at all with the game, never crashed, I suspect problems other users had may be due to older hardware or corrupted OS on device. I hope the developers come out with another game like this, I would definitely purchase!.Version: 1.4

Superb gameThis was my favourite indie game on PC, and now playing it again on iOS has brought back fond memories. I’m truly impressed by how well it works on my iPhone and especially how nice it looks. Who’d have thought such impressive visuals could be achieved on a phone only a few years ago!! I wish we had more fully fledged games like this to play on iOS (I hate freemium games) - the £4.99 asking price is just right to tempt many people to play this brilliant game. It would be great if this was available on Apple TV because playing with an already supported mifi controller (highly recommend the Steel Series Nimbus) would be ideal on the big screen. I would also like to see iCloud saves if not already implemented please so I can swap between devices..Version: 1.3

Best IOS game graphically so farFirst off, this game is stunning. From the graphics to the dialogue it blows other mobile games out of the water. Also I love how you include philosophy in this game. I love to philosophize myself and listening to the narration and reading the interesting text hidden throughout the maps I have a truly enjoyable time with it. I haven’t quite finished the game and the puzzles are most definitely increasing in difficulty but there’s nothing a little downtime won’t fix. This game is very large so don’t expect to finish it in one sitting. I’ve given this game 5 stars however as just an idea, the first person touch/look controls can be finicky at times and I often find my screen has done a 180 for an unknown reason. Hopefully this can be resolved in the future. Otherwise GREAT WORK!.Version: 1.2

So goodIf you didn’t like this game you probably didn’t have the intelligence for it. Fantastic game!.Version: 1.4

Love itDriving, determining puzzle game.brilliant.Version: 1.4

An excellent game!Excellent game, but since I installed the new ipados and these windows that open to the right and left at each rapid movements of the fingers, some of the fun has flown. An update would be welcome to avoid this situation. That said, I repeat, it's a great game!.Version: 1.4

Love it!Couldn’t stop playing. Loved the whole experience. Bring on Talos 2!.Version: 1.4

IntriguingLovely game, good puzzles. Would have given five stars but the game pad and touch/swipe methods of movement are horrible and have led to my character being killed repeatedly..Version: 1.4

Great game, but I’m stuckI’ve enjoyed working my way through this, but I’m stranded between two two blue- screened entrances. Doesn’t seem to be a way of resetting on a touch- screen iPad. Help! A reset option would have helped, but .... three months later I’ve finished it ( on my I pad) and thought, after the nerve-jangling finale, that it was one of the best games I’ve ever played. To get the most out of this engage in the philosophical dialogue, though I guess you don’t need to. It’s a long process, and you might find it repetitive at times, but I found it addictive and thought it well deserved the plaudits it received..Version: 1.4

The Talos PrincipleDON’T change anything! I just hope your going to add more area’s to venture into. Since I found and started playing this game I can’t stop. Good thing I’m retired,🤪. You’ve hit this one out of the park. Every and anyone that will listen I tell them to "BUY" this game, it’s worth every penny!.Version: 1.4

Fantastic game - fantastic valueYou really can’t do much better for a puzzle game. It looks great, is intuitive in its controls, and the puzzles are very, very engaging. And all for under a fiver! Thank you. (Be nice to be able to save part way through long puzzles though ...)..Version: 1.4

HELP!Very excited to play this, I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and have had an interest in this game for some time, but being a dad I don’t have time to sit in front of a television like I used to. Thanks so much for bringing this to mobile and at such a reasonable price. But....if the developer could give me some help, I’ve tried to download this app after purchasing it maybe 8 or 9 times. I have plenty of space for it. I believe I have about 4GB cleared for it, as it was my first concern on why it wasn’t working I cleared as much as I could, but it’s giving me an error of “this app cannot be downloaded at this time”. Is that a problem on the development end, or on apples end? I thought maybe a game as popular would maybe somehow be getting hit hard with downloads and possibly be causing some problems. But that’s just me making up things as I don’t have any idea how the internet works and I just want buttons to do things. Thanks for any help. Dad.Version: 1.0

Great gameThis is a fun creative puzzle game, was first introduced to it in the PlayStation 4 but never played too much of it. To be honest I think I’d be happier with a port of serious sam the first encounter.Version: 1.0

The Best Game EverI used my new IPad for this game and had no movement issues. I used the over the left shoulder view (not first person) and found it quite easy to get around. I was able to control my speed easily and left side of the iPad used a joystick control for forward back and left right while right finger anywhere else was used for direction I was looking The puzzles were excellent, the story line was captivating and graphics for 3D were the best. I think the price is well below what was delivered. I thought all of the Room I, 2 & 3 series and Da Vinci game were the best but I have to Give Talos the nod..Version: 1.4

Fabulous!Brilliant puzzle game, please deliver the sequel too!.Version: 1.4

IPad Pro 10.5So cool.Version: 1.2

Motion sicknessIt looks really well done but I had to stop playing due to motion sickness. I must add, seemed to be a bit too much walking around. Not exactly thrilling..Version: 1.2

Could we have graphical options?Do you guys mind adding a higher poly count version of this game for iPad Pro or IPhone 8 and above users? I guess it doesn’t seem quite as obvious on the phones but on the iPad Pro, the poly count and textures looks so low res and washed out compared to the PC version. I’m not expecting it to be be on par with the pc but it seems like the graphics were designed with the 5s or 6 in mind. Would love to see a A title game looks it’s best on iOS.Version: 1.4

BrilliantIt’s been a very long time since I have enjoyed such a great ‘adventure’ type game. Great problem solving game play. Puzzles within puzzles. Beautiful graphics. Think outside the box (sometimes inside the box). Highly recommend. Best game I have played in decades..Version: 1.4

The Talos principleSe jeux étais tros géniale mais il y a pas mal de chose dur pour les autres mais se jeux et tros bien je ne l’oublierais pas. : Armand 😄.Version: 1.4

This is why I search the App Store...If you’ve been playing video games since before they held your hand every step of the way (skill, logic, and perseverance were qualities you needed to justify not having the option of saving your game), this game is actually quite forgiving!! The whole point is that you have to figure it out as you go. If that’s too much to handle, don’t get this game. If you appreciate a good challenge, a rewarding experience when you solve a puzzle, AND the mercy of save points as you progress, you need to try this game. This game has mystery, problems to solve (which is the driving force behind human nature), and the voice in the sky gives you feedback as you explore, which is really cool. I recommend this game for anyone who is looking for a good problem to solve; and that’s just about all of us. If your search found this game, it’s time to download it and play it..Version: 1.4

SuggestionThis is just a suggestion but in the future could you add a control stick type of input. I feel like that would be easier and faster to use. Thanks.Version: 1.3

Brilliant philosophical puzzlerI loved this intriguing and absorbing puzzler. I can’t think of any other game I’ve played which poses such fascinating questions about the nature of reality and what it means to be conscious (and human). It’s only slightly marred by the fact that the actual mechanics of the puzzles can feel a bit repetitive after a while - but it’s worth it for the story. Bring on the Talos Principle 2!.Version: 1.4

A puzzle game with depthI gave this game a 5/5. Great graphics, sound, music, and gameplay. The only thing that had me at the beginning was the controls but once I went into the menu and found the right control setting for me the game is so much more smooth and fluid. With all that said it’s not that graphics, the puzzles, or sound that really grab my interest but the story. This philosophical aspect to it is amazing. I’m not finished with the game yet but definitely enjoying it!.Version: 1.4

I love this gameJ’adore...Enfin un jeu intéressant, les décors sont magnifique et la musique wawww...aussi en français très bien traduit...Bravo 💕💕💕 I want to know if « Road to Gehenna » will be issued for Ipad or not ?.Version: 1.4

SpectacularTalos Principle is a top tier gaming experience. Some of the best graphics and environmental story telling I've seen on iPad. It supports gamepads and plays wonderfully. The puzzles are masterfully done and they're a heck of a good time. The obvious comparison of this game is Portal. First person, puzzle driven with a great backstory. But it's not derivative in the slightest, the world it shows us is alive and breathing, full of things to say and all of it is worth hearing. I love getting lost in these levels, marvelling at the details of the environment and pondering the questions the game poses..Version: 1.4

Bravo!D’abord... trop difficile à manœuvrer... j’avais envi de laisser tomber... À la longue, plus facile à jouer et les casse têtes deviennent plus négociables! Reste à découvrir les foutus étoiles....Version: 1.4

The best game on iOSI was hooked to this game on pc..... and now just as hooked now it’s on iOS.....am...a....zing!..... such a huge game....and the graphics are out of this world.... pleased to see the Easter eggs are still there! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 1.3

Give It TimeThis game can be a bit ‘meh’ when you start playing it. As you get more involved and actually figure out how to use the landscape and outsmart the challenges, it gets cooler and you look forward to picking it up again at the end of the night..Version: 1.4

This is supposed to be a console game. The title of this review has two meanings. The first is that there is so much gameplay here that playing The Talos Principle on a smart device for a middling cost really doesn’t do it justice. I sought out all the computer terminals and time capsules so I could enjoy the whole story, which gets you thinking about deep questions almost as much as the puzzles rack your brains as you figure out how to solve them. There are a load of easter eggs which are often hard to find, including (spoiler alert!) the little cat on the loading screen. And yes, I had to look up the solutions online to find all the stars. The second meaning of the review title is that this game feels out of place on a smart device, especially the controls. Turning on the spot is either too slow or dizzying (or both at once), and the virtual gamepad can be awkward to use. But that’s the price of saving money by buying a mobile port rather than the proper version on console or PC. My only complaint about the gameplay itself is that the last puzzle is time-limited, which - drove - me - mad -- so I looked up a walkthrough for that too. Despite having to cheat a bit to finish the game, it was still very worthwhile..Version: 1.4

IPad control suggestionI think this app is fantastic! However, control using just an iPad is limited making run/ speed choppy... especially with the only option being jump besides picking up objects. It’d be great if the jump option actually allowed for further distance or higher jumps... much like keyboard control in Steam. I’ve tried the virtual keyboard and the joystick messes up the 3-D aspect the game offers..Version: 1.4

Fantastic game!!!I played this game on my PC and loved it. It’s been a while since I’ve played, so when I saw it on the App Store I immediately bought it. It’s just as challenging as the first time I played! I’m a huge fan of puzzles and philosophy so this game is perfect to me. I do get a bit frustrated with the tap-to-move occasionally, like when trying to place a device to freeze a floating orb but I accidentally tap on the ground next to it and get blown up :) Otherwise fantastic! Side note: I hope Sigils of Elohim gets updated for iOS 11.Version: 1.2

Incredible, with minor nuisancesBeautiful game, graphics, story - it’s a treat. However, the controls for “place an object on top of the cube on this mine” and “walk forwards off the ledge and blow yourself up” are precisely the same thing, making precise placement very frustrating on levels; I know a solution, but am unable to place the objects as needed (in specific the C5 ‘jammed’ level). Update: tapping the ghost-object also places it, in addition to the dot that appears. My issues were solved, and I was thoroughly impressed by the game..Version: 1.4

Unable to complete game on iPad Pro 12.9This game is long, has stunning graphics, and decent controls using the virtual gamepad. However a bug in the Eagle’s Nest level prevents acquiring a sigil that enables entry to tower level 5. In the PC version you can drop a cube to the ground when flying over the courtyard. On the iPad Pro you just cannot drop the cube and they fly by and never end up in a location necessary to complete the level. After spending hours solving all of the levels to get to the tower it is very frustrating to have this bug prevent completion of the game. I finally was able to finish this level using a bluetooth game controller that allowed me to release the cube by pressing a button..Version: 1.4

FantasticThe best ipad game I have played. Great graphics, story and interaction. An absolute gem above all the dross elsewhere. I wish there was another one..Version: 1.4

IntensePhilosophical, beautiful and extremely challenging. An excellent way to engage one’s mind in an entirely different world when you need a break from this one..Version: 1.4

Fantastic.Great concept, great backstory, and great graphics. For the 'thinking gamer', but also fun. Just get it. 5/5.Version: 1.1

Great game, met down slightly by difficult controlsI loved this game on the PC, and was pleased to be able to play it on the ipad... unfortunately it is very difficult to control. I play ’inverted’ or flightsim style controls (I grew up in that era of PC gaming). This game offers inverted look, but it inverts BOTH horizontal and vertical. The correct way to do flightsim style controls is to only invert vertical movement. It’s frustrating that in this game I have to choose between horizontal movement that feels natural but vertical movement I can’t get used to, or vice versa. Please add an option to invert only vertical look.Version: 1.4

Thumbs up with reservationsGreat game however I cannot play it for more than 5 min. due to iPad running hot. Running iOS 11.0.2 not sure if it’s the game or the iOS upgrade..Version: 1.1

Amazing puzzle gameIt takes a small while to understand and get into but once overcome, the controls and challenging nature of the puzzles is amazing. Whilst the “piece” puzzles are reasonably logical and can be worked through, I challenge you to decipher and find the much more complex “star” puzzles and that is assuming you even realise that there is a star to be found... There are some that are so deviously hidden that I do not know how they were ever deciphered (I must admit to using a cheat for the diabolical one on level A) 20 hours of play does not do this game justice. The multitude of levels and number of puzzles is extraordinary for the cost of the game. If anyone can work through this whole game and solve all puzzles in 200 hours then they are a genius.Version: 1.3

No jammerReally enjoying until I got to room 3 the escalating problem..according to the walkthrough there should be a jammer in front of the stairs. There isn’t one there so cannot complete this room :(.Version: 1.1

Love it, but...I have to say that after playing this, all other games seem disappointing. It is very frustrating and challenging at times but well worth playing. Only issue I have is that I had almost completed everything and it seems I walked through a gate that “ended” my game and reset all progress. I would have loved to have made it up the tower as that seems like the ultimate goal. Not sure I will invest all the time again to reach the point in the game I had previously achieved. All in all very enjoyable gameplay, but disappointing way to end it for me..Version: 1.4

Captivating and thoughtful. At first glance this game seems simply like a well constructed puzzler. However once I got into it it was apparent that this was much, much more. It’s non-linear design is fantastic and I’m totally hooked. Some of the puzzles are very difficult and some quite simple. It gives a good change of pace and there is a phenomenal story and feel to the whole thing. I’m totally hooked. I personally changed the controls and I find it much more engaging to use the virtual game pad style..Version: 1.4

Beatiful graphics and challenging puzzles but controls need workThis is a beautiful game with great atmospheric sound. I loved the atmosphere, graphics and puzzles but found the controls made solving some of them harder than it should have been. On my iPad, at least, there was a tendency for the character to skate on beyond where i wanted it to (often to its doom!). I found myself having to work using a combination of short slides and emergency stops.(plus some rude words...) There was also the problem that, if I tapped on a connector and it didn’t register (or I missed) I’d go sailing off in that direction. (Not good if you’re trying to jam a mine!!) Without giving too much away this was a major issue on the tower ending where you have a combination of time pressure narrow walkways and sheer drops..Version: 1.4

3D puzzle genre similar to Valve's PortalReminded me of the time I played Portal! Although there is no cake-is-a-lie or portal guns, there are delightful puzzles (of a different kind) in a simple game that is more open world, not too hard, not too easy. Runs stable on my iPad Mini 4 (iOS 10). Very graphically rich, with nearly-Crysis quality graphics . Tap-to-move was easier (Epic Citadel style approach) for me than the joystick option. Menu is accessed via swipe from left edge (took me a moment to figure out). Five stars for porting to iPad!.Version: 1.2

Challenging Enjoyable PuzzlesThe graphics are nice, the user interface is standard & effective, and the puzzles are definitely challenging; I did have to cheat a couple of times, but for the most part, they are well done and fun. I think it was worth the $6.99 that I paid. I certainly got many hours of enjoyment out of the game..Version: 1.4

Love the game. Frustrating controlsI’m probably more than halfway through and so far have moved the game. Great storyline. Pretty impressive graphics on my iPad Pro 10.5, great puzzles. Biggest gripe is with both modes of control. In puzzles that rely on precise and quick movements while being able to see around you, tap and swipe fails miserably. And the virtual joystick has no way to enable running that I can tell. Maybe I’m missing something. This is the first time I’ve felt I needed an MFI controller on an iPad. I think it may be the only way to really enjoy the game..Version: 1.3

Great...I have Talos on the PC, but never got around to finishing it. This is the full experience on the iPad and it’s great! Edit: not sure what the other reviewer is taking about- after the last update it looks better and runs better on my 9.7..Version: 1.1

Enjoying the challengeFind I get a bit stuck and need to look for a good walkthrough for iPad, but tests my patience that I don’t get tied to it for too long and then I psych up to try again and have a good look around. The important thing with this game is to have a good look around..Version: 1.4

Excellent game. Worth every penny.Only issue is that my iPhone 6 gets remarkably toasty and chews up my battery. I wouldn’t recommend this game to people using an iPhone 6 for fear of cooking their phones..Version: 1.4

Absolutely fantastic!Absolutely love this game, tests you on so many levels. If you like puzzle/logic games, this is right up there with the best. You learn as you go, keep your mind open to creative solutions to various puzzles, some are rather tricky! Game play time is excellent so great value as well..Version: 1.4

ExcellenceA great game that will give you hours of enjoyment. The puzzles are challenging without being frustrating, I did need a walkthrough for some of them though! The controls are for the most part fine, sometimes a little too sensitive but it didn’t detract from playing. The story, while it can be ignored, was kind of intriguing and pushed you to explore further. Excellent graphics. Well worth the price..Version: 1.4

GreatAwesome port of a great game! Soon mobile gaming will be the place to be!.Version: 1.1

Controls are betterI would like it if the game pad method adopted the split screen analogue setup without the overlay for the left stick as an option: The screen is divided in half; the whole left side is the left stick and the whole right side is the right stick. There are no graphical representations for the stick itself. It’s pretty much muscle memory at this point that when emulating a virtual analogue stick, once your thumb hits the screen, that’s where the origin/pivot point is. It would remove a lot of clutter. Also, please let us 3D Touch and move the jump and grab buttons on our own. This new setup is better regarding the buttons and overall feel, but devs please, checkout the Deadspace iOS game for an example of what I mean for optimal FPS touch screen controls. Edit: holy crap!!! You’re new method as far as grabbing and using things is spoiling puzzles!! The “Touch icon” method for beams and boxes is not bad but it’s showing secrets in the distance too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Version: 1.4

I don’t like the violenceWonderful game concept in all regards except the guards. I came here for a mental challenge, not a physical reflexes challenge and certainly not to expend what little adrenaline I have left after a day at work. Is there a version without guards? Beautiful graphics and creative puzzles. I particularly like that it’s not explained, as I enjoy figuring things out and it makes the fun last longer. I’m quitting, though, after only finishing three or four of the rooms. It’s so lovely, that I hate to leave it undone. But facing the guards makes me feel nervous and angry….not my idea of a “game.”.Version: 1.4
