I’ve played for about 8 months or so I think and haven’t spent a penny. Of course if you want things to speed up, you can buy just about anything. The ONLY downside so far is these super strong players that obviously paid to get everything and attack you, you’ll never beat ‘em. ✓ IPadHi, played this game for 2 years on my iPhone. Just moved to playing on a iPad and it’s not as good. Looks like the developers have just made the game bigger, so the chat function is massive and the section you select troops to go and fight is now just a very thin letter box that you can view your troops through as the top and bottom section are solid and do not move. Very disappointed to be honest. My opinion is to stick to the iPhone, as it’s seems like a misdirection by the developers to say it is suitable for use with iPad. Thank you.Version: 310.2
✓ Enjoyable GameThis is an enjoyable game to play. I am still learning the different ways to engage the gameplay. As with almost all games, if you pay to purchase items you will advance faster and further. But this game does not require you to do that if you are content with building and growing at a regular pace. I enjoy it and have yet to spend any money, (don’t hold that against me :-) ). Overall the developers have done an amazing job and I appreciate their effort to continue to make improvements. Only in a world like this can you be given a FREE, highly technical game and give it one star because you can not advance as fast as people paying for upgrades. This is well worth the download, enjoy the game play, pay if you want to advance faster, or don’t and just have fun, and delete the app if you get bored, and your out nothing. ✓ AddictedI’ve read some of the negative reviews and I honestly don’t understand why . I’m No gamer but I downloaded this game in December while in hospital , took me about a week to really understand what I had to do , once you join a clan you pick up so much from others , just choose your clan carefully there are those that take it way too serious , the type who dress up as Roman centurions while playing lol . Anyway I love it , absolutely hooked , I was on clash of clans for 5 years with my son , I can see my stay on here a lot longer especially as I play this game for myself . One thing I’d like to add, I think the developer could reward people for paying for the deals a bit better than they do . Other than that it’s a Big Fat 10 out of 10 from me. ✓ Excellent Game for Free PlayIt’s pretty fun and entertaining (and I typically don’t play a lot of phone games other than solitaire or word games). Obviously if you’re not willing to spend money, your not going to advance super quick. It’s going to take time. But you can still advance and build up a pretty decent kingdom. In this fast pace, “I want it NOW” world we live in, this is a nice humbling game for people like me who refuse to spend money on phone games. It reminds you that good things take time and hard work and the fun is in the journey. All-in-all, I enjoy it. I am 100% free and am doing great, but you must have a real, active clan, learn the ins and outs of the game, and be willing to play everyday. There is no “win” state anyway, you play to enjoy growth over time. The game is clearly designed with many, many soft locks that can be overcome with money or time. ✓ Great GameTotal Battle is a great game! There are a couple of matters that should be looked at, and adjusted. Every kingdom has player created and enforced rules of engagement. If one chooses not to abide by the rules of engagement, they subject themselves to being made and “Outlaw.” If one is declared and outlaw, the outlawed player can be attacked repeatedly and relentlessly looted. This looting can be particularly frustrating if the looted player spent a lot of money acquiring items. Gold ingots ought to be convertible to gold coins within individual players castles. Enforcement of taxes should always be a matter of the castles deciding how much contribute to the kingdom, but the ingots should not be otherwise worthless. After a certain level, it becomes very difficult to grow one’s avatar. Requiring Billions of points seems excessive. Overall the game is quite entertaining..Version: 321.1

In most cases we either pay a fee or we must endure the ads that pay their bills. A fair trade I think. Total Battle, however, does not do this. They do an amazing job providing an ad free experience whether you pay for the game or not. I have never felt like I’ve reached a ceiling where I either have to pay or remain stuck as some other games do.
