✓ WowI have only just started playing this and I love it! I see all the bad reviews here and, some of them may be true. Yes the ads are annoying but it is a free game so I expect that, yes it was advertised different, but still it is a good game! Keep making this game better then ever!.Version: 1.5.2

✓ OkThis game isn’t too bad. Best thing is you don’t need to spend real money. There are a lot of ads but it helps get coins so it helps balance it out. Thing is, I’ve now escaped and that’s it. ✓ Not as advertised.Made it to Chapter 11 and it’s nothing like the advertisement that shows you setting prisoners free, escaping in a suit case, etc. There is not much in regards to a story. I get that it’s a word game, but once you progress to a certain point you don’t get nearly as much story progression as you did in the beginning and even then it’s the same 6 scenes repeated with different “levels of progression” which by the way doesn’t seem to mean much. If you like word games, you may enjoy it, if you’re looking for something different in the word game genre this does absolutely nothing innovative. I give it 1 star because of the deceptive advertising which actually led me to download it, the lack of actual meaningful story progression, bad pacing, and the game does nothing new or different to keep me coming back for more..Version: 1.5.2
✓ Good at first but stale nowLike many other reviews I’ve seen it looked good on the Instagram ads and again along with other people I thought there would be multiple stories. I am on day 179 in game and all I’ve done for the past 60+ days is dig a tunnel, no new items, no change in story, solves some words dig a bit, solve some words, dig a bit in between ads 🤷🏻♂️ In the ads it shows connect word to pictures for funny cut scenes, none of that, solve some words did a bit.... 🤯 bored now.Version: 1.6.1
✓ Falsely Advertised But Mildly EntertainingThis game has many, MANY, ads for it, as I’m sure why most of you are here. These ads do not show the real game. This game would probably be WAY more fun if it was high action and you had to escape like that, but that is not the case. You just slowly and tediously dig away at a wall forever. I presume this is the case because making the already poor quality animations was too much work for them. And 7/10 times when you solve a puzzle it doesn’t even help your guy. It just gets through the day without any new animation. If you do like word games, this game is still fun, but not as fun as the concept the ads show. I’d also like to bet that you can’t even get to the ocean, because the day says “???” But that’s just an educated guess..Version: 1.5.2
✓ Not What I Expected :(Whenever I see this ad which was this game, I was like “I should download it, it looks fun” so I came here to download it saw the reviews and was like “welp let’s just try it out” I downloaded it and was excited, but when I played it I kept having to do the same things over and over again. I kept having to solve puzzles and nothing would happen it would just show the same animation again and again. I was VERY disappointed and wasn’t expecting this. ✓ Annoying, a little boring, playable.I did not see the ads for this game. That being said, this game is annoying. I played through 3....levels maybe? A good hour or so. I don’t really see the point in playing this. There are spelling errors all over the game, that has me wary that some of the words I’m trying to guess are even real words. I didn’t run into any misspellings I had to try and guess, but none of the words were very challenging. Disappointing for a game that had a lot of promise. You unlock items that give you bonuses that I don’t really understand, I got soap that increased my relaxation I think, but what does that actually do? I didn’t notice anything. I had an opportunity to increase its potency, but I didn’t see the point. The only upgrade that made sense to me that I totally clicked on the ads to watch was the spoon upgrade that increased the rate that I dug. Still, I played a good 20 minutes after that, and while my progress increased dramatically, I didn’t really see how it was helping me. I did like the fact that I got to choose if I wanted to watch ads, that’s why I give it the 3 star rating. ✓ BoringIt starts out as quite fun to play but after countless adds and very slow progress I got bored very quickly. I’m going to delete it mainly because of the magnitude of adds. Furthermore previously you got 60 coins for watching an advertisement, which was what you needed to get help. Now you get only 25 coins meaning even more adds to watch..Version: 1.6.2

✓ Update changed the game for worseBefore the most recent update each time you used a letter in the wrong word the game would hint if the letter was correct and in the right place, letters that were incorrect weren’t removed so you could still use them to make other guesses to find correct letters. That has all been removed changing the game from using the clues to work it out to just guess words now. No way near as fun..Version: 1.2.4

✓ Really disappointedI download because the ad I saw it shows it a little more interactive. I been playing a little each day, in the early levels it actually pass levels, gets you a little story of bribing the cops and getting things to dig faster. I’m on level 450 and for the last 200 levels NOTHING has happened. They have 2 challenges, one does not work, it’s the same every day and you have one option word and then you get caught and the other is alright, gives you coins if you pass all 3 levels and different each day... but COME ONNNNN, I’m getting really bored if nothing else happens in the game....Version: 1.5.3

✓ Nothing like I imaginedAt first I saw the ad and thought it was going to be fun because it showed that the guy was dressing up like a girl and all that other funny stuff so he could escape. But once I got the app and started playing I realized he was just doing the same thing over again. Yeah I get it's also supposed to be educational but the words are way to easy and I'm pretty sure that some of the words are misspelled. I always see the reviews first and saw that a lot of them were very negative but I saw that it had a 4.8 so I still got the app not even thinking about the negative reviews I saw. But now I think I should have considered the negative reviews because I wasted about an hour on this game and it wasn't even fun like the ads. I'm very disappointed because I expected this game to be fun and educational but it's not. It's really boring and not very challenging. The words in the app are first grade words and I'm in the seventh grade. There should at least be an easy, medium, and hard level so that we could challenge ourselves. ✓ Good but...It’s a good app once u get into it but... I saw an ad that was completely different to the game. In the ad u need to spell out a word to stop the police from finding u. When u get the app it’s very rare that any action acc happen and u just basically spell words out. ✓ Misleading and glitchy....I, like most people that downloaded this game, downloaded it because I saw an ad that showcased a word game with silly animations. It seemed intriguing in thought why not give it a shot. This game is nothing like what it advertises. You are basically a stick figure digging a hole in the wall and dumping out the debris outside the prison. You spell words, random things you spell fall on your head, and you dig your hole. That’s it. After a few levels I begin having issues with the game freezing. The music still plays but when you try to tap on a letter or anything else in the user interface nothing happens. So I have to force close and start over. This happens constantly to the point where I see no point in continuing to play as it’s ridiculously frustrating. ✓ Great game... for a while!This is a really good word game for the first few hundred levels. Sadly, once the guy breaks out of gaol there is nothing more to achieve. The game trundles on for hundreds and hundreds more levels with no purpose. It just becomes monotonous and boring. If you offer 2000 levels, please follow through with a story and purpose. ✓ Game bugged level 213It’s real fun game until I hit level 213 restarted the level 5 times and get stuck with the same letters PILAR not in that order but I decide to check the English dictionary online and no matter what sequence there is no other word that can made from the letters IRPLA. There is literally no story line besides the character trying to dig a hole in a wall, and dumping rocks outside out of a weird little brown bag. ✓ Pretty boringFirst off: The ads for this game are absolutely false. You aren’t trying to solve the word puzzle and if you get it wrong the guard catches you. You’re simply solving word puzzles. The entire game is basically every few words you solve a day goes by. Sometimes when you solve a word a simple screen play appears. Usually in the screenplay you’re either given a new tool, you’re dumping dirt outside, or your playing with this random bird. I did see a cop one time, which you bribe with a bottle of wine. But that was it, and it doesn’t seem to have been related to anything. And nothing really happens after that. The hole never changes size and there’s no way to win the game. You just keep solving words with no end in sight. This game is absolutely pointless and is just a way to waste time. So if that’s what you’re looking for I’d recommend it, but that’s not what I look for in a game. I really don’t know how it has so many positive reviews unless they are mostly fake. ✓ How does this game have such a high rating???So, I was intrigued by the ad for the game, probably like most of you. I see in the ad different scenarios to escape from different areas and the words you figure out are supposed to help the guy try to escape and you get to see a funny little animation of if it goes right or if it goes wrong. That was interesting and worth playing. I download the game and I’m figuring out words that have nothing to do with anything. There’s no clue to a word, so you’re figuring it out from the air. For many levels, the guy is still digging out a hole in the wall. And his “progress” is very slow. I’ve read other reviews that say he’ll still be digging for many, many levels. So, when do we get to actually helping him escape or see the funny animations? I get that that might take some time to get to, but don’t show me an ad where you’re showing the last bit of progress when it’s going to take me 50+ levels to actually get me there. Show me the slow gameplay, so I actually know what I’m getting into. I can see the fun in the game, but watching ads and making little progress over time just isn’t for me..Version: 1.4.5

✓ Not worth playing through (Version 1.5.3)This game starts off decent as you progress through the Chapters. You unlock upgrades and earn coins just by completing each level. The upgrades are purely cosmetic because it doesn't matter how fast you dig; you still have to complete each chapter just to see the next part of storyline. The shop is a joke with nothing to spend the coins on. They are only useful for blowing up letters and giving hints. Only play Chapters 1-10 because after that Chapters 11-13 are a total waste of time. THIS GAME IS SO GOOD that it will let you play through 1478 more levels that add absolutely nothing to the storyline. I LOVE IT SO MUCH that I'm greeted with an "All Levels Cleared" button at the end of Level 2000. "See you in the next Chapter"... yeah right clowns, get a clue. Increasing the amount of levels in each chapter to extend playing time is the best example of artificial difficulty. The game tricks you into thinking there's an epilogue after the Main Story but there isn't. It's just the same still shots with speech bubbles scribbled on the screen. ✓ No.The ads for this are extremely false because I’m on day 258 and nothing has happened for at least 100 levels. There are multiple ads to go through, which is normal, but ads are the things that make the game worse. Sure it may be fun, but making an ad this misleading is just not right. If you have an ad with this much animation, why not incorporate it into the game? Just make it like the ad. Nothing happens at all in half the chapters except the same animations over and over again, picking up rocks, dripping rocks, moving a rock, adding support to the large tunnel, etc. But it adds absolutely nothing to the storyline. So the only way you guys can fix it is change the ads to stop misleading people or actually spend time on the game instead of making your ads more interesting than it..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Words without a storyAs others have said starts off quite well and you want to see what happens to the main character. You can see though where the developer has lost interest as where you’d get more story every so often it starts a repetitious loop alternating between 4/5 previous “story” animations. Once you escape the character just stands on the beach spouting in very bad English things like “you are so good at this. I make more difficult” I can only presume that is the end of the story and it’s just guessing words from now on. In short big build up of the story that goes nowhere..Version: 1.4.5
✓ Gets boring after a whileIt was fun when I first started and I think that it actually is a good way to keep your mind going. However, after playing it for about a week, I realised that it was just the same thing. In the advertisements, they showed having to spell words to aid a character through a story to escape. However, with the actual game, you spell words but it becomes the same thing, digging and digging and digging. Occasionally you do get a tool but it doesn't change much. I’m currently on day 102, and so far I am about 70ft done digging and I met a bird, shook a man’s hand twice, ate some food, and gave the guard a wine bottle. Also I have a diary and two posters. Day 200 ish. Made it 77 yards, changed scene twice! Decided the ‘upgrades’ do nothing and are an excuse for as revenue which is fair tbh. Still making words of varying length, much the same, but idk I still like it If you like repetitive or need something simple for your daily commute this app is perfect for it!.Version: 1.4.5
✓ DisappointedThere are sooooooo many adverts literally every time u get a blue word advert. The prisoner doesn’t do much and when he does if u were to blink a second to long u miss out. When u spin the rewards wheel there’s like 6-8 options of prizes but u only either get 20,30 or 40 coins so it’s pointless. U also need to watch a advert to spin the wheel and even u don’t wana spin the wheel u want to carry on with the next level u have to watch an advert anyway so u might aswell spin the wheel. ✓ Read this review before downloadingWhen I saw the adds to this game, it looked super fun! I definitely wanted to try this game out. At the beginning it tells the person playing you were accused of killing your wife. I thought this was gonna be an entertaining game when I saw the first bit + the adds. So I played a couple levels, “I’ll probably get to the fun part in a moment!” I thought. I played more and more and I STILL didn’t get past digging through the wall. I am surprised there were so many good ratings for this game. I DO NOT recommend it to any players. ✓ Not as advertisedI saw the game advertised in another app. It showed the little stick guy on the ground in cuffs. They spelt out key and a key appeared. He then needed an axe to cut the rope tying another person to the wall so that happened. Next room he needed to escape the guards etc etc. I’m on day 108 and still in the cell. After googling how long it takes to bust out and actually play the game it appears that it’s not part of the game feature just yet. Whilst a few of the words you type actually get your little stick man an object for the most part you are just making words to no end and extremely little reward. ✓ ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!I was honestly excited for this game, having seen it advertised ALL OVER Instagram and Snapchat. Yet, the game is of such poor quality. The story doesn’t line up. You have to make words out of the letters you are given but it turns out half the words don’t even have an effect on the story. Then the same animation plays over and over again, of the prisoner mining the wall and then it comes up with a message that says ‘Progress made: 1 inch’. I DON’T UNDERSTAND. And then the next animation, he’s outside, yet he’s only dug a 1 inch hole into the wall, so how is he free? It might just be the early stages of the game but I found this game to be BORING, A WASTE OF TIME, AND IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE..Version: 1.4.5

It’s a cash grab, and I recommend finding a different word game app for this and other reasons. The dictionary it uses will also not recognize proper nouns, unless it is an arbitrarily chosen proper noun for the level (such as a country name), as well as arbitrarily allowing certain standard English words because I guess they’re vulgar? But somehow proper medical vocabulary is vulgar, but not several other slang and hateful terms, some of which would generally be considered highly offensive and are without any other meanings. So in short, the dictionary is not only incomplete, it is completely arbitrary rather than using a standard boggle or scrabble word list. Shame on these devs and others like them that can’t make a game that is sold on its merits and has to resort to micro transaction currencies for revenue. Where you do sneaky tricks like disguise yourself as a girl, fake pregnancy, dress up as a cop. All of the cool stuff not in the game trust me I forced myself through a lot of it to try and see. A level can take less than ten seconds to complete, then joy, thirty seconds of adverts, then you’re asked to watch adverts to claim prizes you’ve earned as well, then another ad before the level starts. Complete next level, yay, more ads. Some skip in five but those are the rare ones, I keep getting thirty second ones that just drain my patience. If you want to spend more time watching ads than playing a game, go for it. They need to rethink this, every single level does NOT need an ad before/after. ✓ BoringThe “game” is a story of a stick figure escaping from prison. The story is constantly being interrupted by ads and word jumbles with extra letters. Guessing an incorrect word removes the letters guessed from the correct word. Guessing real words gives “cash” that can be used to buy hints. Watch ads for more “cash”. Also get interrupted by ads. Even had an ad interrupted by another ad. There is no real choice involved with the jumbles, so if you can make “shiv”, “shovel”, and “spoon” with the available letters and “spoon” is their choice for the story that will be the word. While some of words are key to the story many of the jumbles have nothing to do with the story at all... or are crap like a bottle to bribe the guard with for no apparent reason or food eaten in the cell. I’ve been in the the tunnel for what seems like 90% of my time playing the game which has been 3-4 weeks. I play about 1-2 hours a day in my free time. But it’s always the same; easy to medium to hard, then repeat over and over and over with no more story progression after the 1st couple of days playing. Totally stale. ✓ Decent but misleadingI’m sure most of you people are here are here because of the ads for this game that looked interesting where there are stickmen trying to escape little cutscenes and when you reach a situation you have to type in the tool you might need to continue along with various animations making it seem like a very interesting and funny game to play. ✓ Best boring game ever?!Started the game and for the first couple of stages it progressed nicely and was great to pick up for a few minutes respite throughout the day. It’s interesting and we wanna help the little stick guy. The levels seem like they’re getting harder because more and more letters are coming in. But at ~60 levels in, nothings happening. I haven’t played too far, but it seems that the hammer’s the last item. And the levels don’t get any more difficult. It seems it doesn’t go above 6 letters, and there’s so many 3 letter levels. ✓ There is no storyYou have to guess a word from scrambled letters, every so often you will get a 3 second animation related to you escaping which become so repetitive you stop paying attention. You do not make friends, you do bribe the guard but it has no affect on anything. After 200 levels/days (Without boosts from watching ads) there is a 5 second animation of you escaping, and then you just continue solving word puzzles.
