✓ My reviews don’t get posted because they’re one starI spend 5 minutes typing out and explaining all the problems I face playing this game on my Macbook… just to see that my reviews don’t even get shown on the app store. How is anyone supposed to know what’s really happening with the app they’re looking to download if they can’t read all the reviews? This game isn’t brand new or anything, it’s over a year old. When I TRY to contact the “app support,” it’s always lead me to a dead end. No way to contact any real person about these bugs and issues. THIS APP IS BROKEN ON MACBOOK. TAKES MINUTES TO LOAD THE SIMPLEST THINGS. APP WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY BEFORE THE EASTER UPDATES. ✓ Still think Classic is betterI still find Next a little confusing to navigate. Decorating the room is hard when placing things. The arcade is meh but it’s nice that there are some different games that aren’t on Classic. Overall it’s ok. The best part about this is that you pretty much have the full game on mobile. Classic is basically on good for checking in, shopping, kinzpost, player appreciation day and Wheel of Wow. Webkinz Next is actually worth playing on your mobile..Version: 2.38.1

✓ Insultingly expensive for how unfinished it isSo, I genuinely kind of this app. I love the baby mechanic and I kind of vibe with the uncanny valley aesthetic of the 3d models. That said, I like it in the sense that I like janky games put out by obscure companies with no budget and weird ideas. When I remember this is put out by a company that already had a good, coherent project, I like it a lot less. It's hard to stomach how bare bones this game is what with how much money they want you to spend on it. The most discounted pack you can get to even use the baby feature is $12. The slim selection of plush pets (which are hideous and cheap-looking compared to the originals) are $25. You can buy gems for real money and they're not cheap either. Nostalgia is a huge moneymaker right now. Let's be real, most little kids wouldn't be entertained by this game, especially when they'd have to beg their parents for $12 just to use one of the main features. You could buy like 2 better plushies or some robux or whatever else kids are into for that. ✓ Pop Quiz in Kinzvillie AcademySo you get 3 points for every answer you say correct without a hint, 1 point for answers with a hint, and 0 for wrong answers. I was doing pretty well untill I get the question “What is Roberta’s Little Sisters Name?” And I picked “Bertie-Boo” because why not. And you know what it says? “The correct answer is “She doesn’t have one”” and I mean, that’s not even grammatically correct. Plus, how would I know that? I’m guessing you had to get a hint in which makes it impossible to get 30/30 points. Please fix that..Version: 2.40
✓ It’s a good start but...First of all; yikes. So this game is extremely buggy. I had to create new accounts because the game would either register me doing something I didn’t, or it wouldn’t register me doing something, completely messing up gameplay. Controls are pretty awful too. On a positive note; the game looks decent. It’s a good start to introduce new generations to the original Webkinz. And the idea of breeding pets is really cool! However, I wish this game would be a lot less buggy than it is..Version: 1.5.0
✓ Really disappointedI love webkinz a lot. I’ve been a dedicated player since 2007 and use the webkinz classic app everyday. When I heard there would be new plushies I was really excited to get one and play the new app. But this is just... bad. It’s extremely ugly and the dog at the adoption center is very uncomfortable to look at. She’s far too human and just looks like a diet furry. The animals have creepy, almost human like eyes and the graphics are just ugly. I really don’t understand why they opted for 3D instead of 2D. I actually am not against a 3D webkinz experience, the furniture and rooms looks pretty good. But the designs for the pets are terrible. Please god change them..Version: 1.3.0

✓ Too differentI’ve been playing Webkinz for over a decade but now they have this new version that is missing all my favourite stuff. Like all the animals are super cheery and not like the original people. Plus they got rid of my favourite game (pizza palace) which was most of the reason I still played. Worst part is the world is so small compared to how it used to be. There’s almost nothing to do and the arcade now has a limit on how many times you can play a game per day. ✓ The graphics and stuffed animals are unappealingI just don’t understand why they created a new game? They could have updated the old one and if it was about the old pets not being able to transfer send a notice and then give those players access to new characters or credits for what had been lost…I think the new dolls are not pleasing to look at and are copy’s of those TY dolls…would’ve much rather an updated model of the classic Webkinz instead of a whole new model that strays from the original design. I think you should focus on the fact that the OG players of Webkinz are the parents of today’s children and are going to be the ones spending money on these games…I for sure won’t be spending $30 on a copy cat stuff animal…not to mention that the graphics are so unappealing and don’t feel soft and fluffy like the Webkinz classic…instead of having two separate games they should’ve been merged the new game has so much potential if only it copied the og designs. ✓ DisappointedI’ve been a Webkinz player since 2009. I have purchased Deluxe membership almost every year since then and have adopted over 200 pets. I am immensely disappointed in this new game, and I wish they would have made your Webkinz “Classic” account transfer over since I have spent thousands of hours playing and collecting almost all of the room themes. Webkinz has always been one of the few things that consistently brought me joy, and as a person with chronic illnesses, I always turn to Webkinz whenever I’m too sick to do anything else. Nintendo DS games made in the 2000s have better graphics than this- and better gameplay. If GANZ knew what their audience wanted, they’d be making plush toys again- the original way. This game is a waste of what the company could’ve did to revamp their game and once again get their long lost fan base back. In conclusion this is nothing but an app for a toddler to be amused with for 5 minutes, get bored during the loading screen times and go on to the next thing. OH and btw, where is Mrs Birdy? ✓ Awful!Those of us that have been playing on what is now known as “Classic” Webkinz, have been asking for, begging for, Ganz to update and improve certain things in Webkinz World, for years! Well, they did, but not on “Classic” Webkinz. Instead they made this monstrosity. Yes, I did download it and play it, but it didn’t take long for me to see that THIS new version of Webkinz World was going to push The now “Classic” Webkinz to the back. We have begged for doors to be removed, but “No!, but they did it on the “New” Webkinz. The ability to put more than two items on a table. The ability to angle an item like a chair. And, Bring back the stuffed pets and trading cards. Again, “No!” I realize that Flash is going away at the end of the year, and the PC desk top app has literally “saved” Webkinz for us, but WHY did you have to waste time AND money creating something “New”, when all you really needed to do was to bring back the plushies, trading cards, fix all the virtual items that haven’t worked in years, stop making so many items cost e-points instead of KinzCash, and most of all remember that Webkinz is played, bought and paid for by ADULTS, not children. Children lose interest really fast. We don’t. However, if you don’t improve the “Classic” Webkinz, you might lose your biggest Cash Cows. Your ADULT players. ✓ Worried, sad, and disappointedLike the previous reviewer, I have been a member since the early 2000s. I have over 20 plush pets that I bought and adopted on the website. I never joined Deluxe membership because it upset me that it was taking over. But after getting back on this year, I considered it because of all the perks. I have so many rare pets and rare items on my account on the original website. I’m so scared that all of my pets will he lost after this year. What will happen to them? What will happen to the house I’ve worked so hard on to build? Thousands of hours of play wiped away. Now I have to start with one pet on this new app and I don’t want to pay $19 to get enough diamonds to pay for a second pet to keep growing the family with a baby maker. This is so disappointing. ✓ Why?Some of the problems with the game: The graphics are outdated and the characters are creepy. My pet often clips or bugs out. I have to pay with in-game currency to get a second pet before I can try the breeding thing they added. This wouldn't be a problem, but the in-game currency is really expensive. There is a very limited amount of clothing items and some of them clip into your pet anyway. I'm sure there are other problems too, but I didn't care to play further. Generally the game just looks sloppy, which is too bad because I'm sure alot of work went into it. It's just not as good as the classic version, or even other older games like Animal Jam or Club Penguin. I'm just surprised that a 2020 game can have such bad graphics. ✓ Great potential!I’m a longtime Webkinz classic user, so the release of this game was very exciting for me! However, I (like many others) was a bit disappointed by the visuals. I’m not against a 3D art style, and I actually think a lot of things (locations and furniture especially) look really nice. But the pets are not visually pleasing, and they’re the core of the game, so I can see how people are so turned off by this. Still, I find myself frequently logging on to Webkinz Next when I have a spare few minutes, because the gameplay is actually very fun so far! There isn’t that much to do right now, but it’s all pretty engaging (if buggy)and keeps me coming back daily. ✓ Like the game and its features, but not the character modelsI love that it still maintains a lot from Webkinz Classic, while still adding lots of great new content, I think the babies is a really cool feature! That being said, how did anyone think the character models would be okay? The characters from Classic have been absolutely brutalized, and all of the actual pets don’t look much better. As an adult I can look past that, but some of them they may be scary to children… Also, I can’t help but feel some inspiration was taken from Animal Jam, but that too I can look past. I logged in the other day and a pop up appeared saying “you’re device is running out of storage” and it adjusted my camera angle…it didn’t give me an option, it just did it on its own. I can’t view my full house, only 2 rooms at a time. I can no longer view my garden because the game glitches out everytime I try to get to it. I’ve tried finding a way to fix it myself… freeing up storage on my phone, trying to see if I can find a new camera angle setting… nothing. There’s nothing for me to fix this. ✓ I want it to be better.I grew up on webkinz classic, so when I heard they made a new webkinz game I was a bet skeptical, since I still play webkinz classic till’ this day. But this isn’t a review for classic. Where do I start, well, I’ll start with the pros of this game first. I like the doors? Their better then before. I also like the “advanced placing option”, it pretty much makes you place items wherever without being locked to a grid. I also like how GANZ kept classic. That was very smart. It’s clear their trying their best. That’s all I like. Now to the cons, the main thing of course is the animation. It just looks god awful, I get I 3D is cool but it would of been better if it was just 2D like classic. The new plushies look awful too. ✓ Somewhat Enjoyable… but Hard to Look AtI’ve been playing Webkinz for a really long time, since I was a little kid. I haven’t started playing Webkinz Next until recently and I’ll admit it’s kinda fun. If you’re a Webkinz fan already, there’s some of the core aspects that you’ll be familiar with to keep you entertained. There’s one major, glaring issue however… this game is so very, very ugly. I will say the game has gotten better since launch with updates but it looks just as bad as it did the moment it came out. The models of the pets and the other characters are so uncanny with their eyes, and the textures—even at the highest graphical level—are so crunchy and… ugly! It’s so disappointing because Webkinz classic, what was essentially a flash game from the mid-2000s, looks way better than it’s successor. Even the stuffed animals themselves are just creepy, with their big, round, glassy and soulless eyes. I would enjoy this game so much more if it wasn’t so… uncomfortable to look at. ✓ Lost $$My daughter went Thur cancer an we spent hundreds of money on pets to get tags an add them to her account. She had 26 animals 12 month in the hospital she had lots of time on her hands. She let her little brother play her game. They drop their tablet in water. An the 7 month they didn’t log in an all her animals an account was deleted!! UnLike other games once you pay for something you should always have it no matter if you don’t log in for 2years. ✓ Classic is betterThis is my first Webkinz experience, but this game really got me. First, Classic had like 7 starter pets, while Next has only 3. Also, Diamonds cost money? This is a KIDS GAME. All purchases should be optional, and not needed to play the game casually. Playing Next free is hard because it would take MONTHS just to get ONE pet. 5 diamonds a week is not enough. You also earn very little Kinzcash. In the arcade. I played Goodie Gumdrops for 5 minutes and only got 12 KINZCASH. On top of that, the items cost way to much. Gem hunting is better, but also a bit tedious. I’m spending more time at the arcade and Curio shop trying to get Kinzcash then actually taking care of my pet. A few days after I downloaded this game, I switched to Classic. Classic feels way better. Balanced number of what you earn and how much to earn more, and NO DIAMONDS! It feels a lot less time consuming and tedious to play Classic then Next. I personally like Classic better..Version: 2.31.0

It goes around a long way when u tap where u want it to go or it turns in the opposite direction then back again for no reason. It makes it very difficult to play games where u have to collect things around kinsville. There’s nowhere I can contact to set it straight, and the password reset link doesn’t work because the password I had set simply isn’t being accepted for me to change it. They used to be such a great company, and everyone loved their plush. Ever since they got rid of Webkinz Signatures, everything has gone downhill. The new rainbow unicorn and rainbow golden retriever is all a gambling game. The mentally ill people that are so desperate to get them literally end up spending $400 on a stupid knock off beanie boo. Not to mention that beanie boos are way cuter and way higher quality. And they aren’t $400, they’re $7. And the people that are trying to give this game a chance end up spending like $50 trying to get one and they end up getting NOTHING. Webkinz, this is very disappointing and I hope you listen to your fans and decide to bring back the old Webkinz plush before you go completely bankrupt. ✓ Fun game but....The game is fun. Has some great arcade games and different features than Classic. Still a few bugs that need to be ironed out. One sticking point is that Ganz is A Canadian company, located in Canada and charges in US dollars! Does not make sense! Of coarse it’s about making money and $$$ is all they see! ✓ Thoroughly DisappointingAs someone who’s played Webkinz since I was a kid, this is such a disgrace to the game and would be to any other series too. The game is glitchy and requires you to pay to progress your family since you can never get enough materials without paying. And not to mention the terrifying character design. It’s not like Ganz doesn’t have experience with 3D games, they’ve had two widely successful ones in the past (Mazin’ Hamsters and Amazing World) so there’s no excuse for this game to look as downright awful as it does , especially considering they had Amazing World on mobile and it looked just fine. If I were a young kid I wouldn’t want to play this game. The pacing is weird, the characters and animations are choppy and scary looking and it’s just overall not a good game. Ganz had so much potential to make this good and instead did this, which doesn’t look or feel at all like Webkinz..Version: 1.3.0
✓ Sorry but no......Me and my brother would spend hours on webkinz, so being bored I went to download webkinz to see our old pets and saw this so I did a comparison and I really don’t like the game or the new toys for it and I agree with some of the others what happened to ms. ✓ Ugly petsWhen I started the game, Mrs. biscuits showed me only three pets! Three! In classic Webkinz if you were new, they would give you about 8 pets to choose from. And the pets that this game showed me were all very ugly. I could not choose which one I wanted because I didn’t like any of them! Why did you have to make another Webkinz? Come on! ✓ Has potential but not very goodThis app has potential, but I have to say I don’t like it. The pets are not visually pleasing at all, and they are the main focal point of the game. And why get rid of Ms. Birdy? She was the face of Kinzville. I don’t think the new 3D format was a good choice, and frankly a lot of it is just weird looking and creepy. I respect how hard the developers have worked on the game, but it would be better if the developers just worked on expanding Webkinz Classic into the full site it used to be. Also, there isn’t much to do, but I understand that the developers are working on that. Overall I think this app is pretty bad and I think that the developers should work on improving Webkinz Classic and making that into the full game that Webkinz used to be..Version: 2.0.0
