✓ Screen Burn in on iPhone XS Max !!First of all, I must say I love the Varia Radar. I was skeptical at first, but I not use my bike without it now, and I recommend its use to everyone. Five stars for that. The app, however…yesterday I was on the bike all day, and had the app open all the time. After I got home, I noticed there are now two vertical lines across the screen and a rectangle at the top, burned in on my iPhone’s display (they are of course caused by the two white vertical lines (the “road”) and the rectangle at the top (the one that goes orange/red/green)). I am hoping they fade away with time, but I am not sure they will. As it is, my iphone screen is ruined. This is a serious issue and needs to be fixed. I personally do not need the white “road” on my screen at all times (you could just show the cars as dots. They move so they would not cause burn in) and the rectangle at the top could be the whole screen instead (show the full screen orange, red or green. It would also be much easier to see). I understand other people would have no issue with the current way the app works, so you could make this a preference. I hope you guys offer a solution to this problem as soon as possible. I have come to depend on the radar, but burn in in my iPhone’s screen is completely unacceptable. Another suggestion: Please make the volume of the alerts configurable. I listen to podcasts/music and sometimes the alerts are hard to hear. Thanks.Version: 1.7.0
✓ Waste of TimeThe App is quite a pointless unless you want to ruin your phone screen, thought it control the settings so I could check the battery level but no it doesn’t. If you have a Bike computer use that instead. Garmin should remove this App it must be there worst ever software ever..Version: 2.1.0

✓ Excessive IPhone battery drain.I often find that the app uses up to 60% of my iPhone 8 battery during a 4 hour ride. Sometimes it will only use 2% - all in very light traffic country roads..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Last Update Broke AppThe last update broke the iphone app Making it unreliable and untrustworthy. Too bad because the previous release was flawless it seems like they changed it for "legal" disclaimers. It is now laggy, buggy and false positive. Still works well with the Garmin devices for now. ✓ Doesn't work with light offIf you're running low on power and want to just use the radar function of your Varia light, the app disconnects from the Bluetooth pairing and is useless. It really should connect to the radar network not the light network. Would be a good app if that was fixed.Version: 3.1.0

✓ Needs more workGot it to connect to my RCT715, eventually Light / radar is great, works very well with Edge 1030 head unit. Camera functionality is poor, at best: 1) the recordings are in 30 second chinks whatever setting I choose in the app (5 minutes is my selection) 2) 100’s of segments via the app is then tedious - they mostly sync quickly to the phone but not always. As an idea Garmin, why not add an auto-play (inc scroll) feature to the app as an option, so you can play the videos as if they were one continuous segment and the app simply tells you which segment you are in once you find what you want 3) Especially when the navigation buttons are inverted and pressing the right (forwards) button takes you to the previous segment - pretty basic stuff Garmin… A companion front camera would be great.Version: 3.0.1

✓ If you have multiple Varia you are out of luck!I have multiple bikes with different Varia radars in them. The App does not allow you to connect to other Varias without unpairing the one you aren’t connected to first. Garmin should refactor the code to handle multiple paired Varias, that would up the app to 5 stars in my opinion. It is a pretty annoying flaw to have to remove a Varia and go into pairing mode every time I ride a different bike with someone else’s Varia. Make it like multiple bluetooth headphones paired to your phone and only connect to the powered device, or use NFC to connect to the active device..Version: 3.1.0

✓ Inconsistent and Undifferentiated ChimesThe audio component of the app is a nice complement to the single chime alert of the Varia RTL515 from the Garmin itself. However, the app’s “car approaching” double chime is identical to its “all clear” double chime. Though there also is a different, lower pitch “all clear” chime it doesn’t always chime. Moreover, the “all clear” double chime doesn’t always chime, either. This means I consistently have to look at the Garmin itself to determine whether or not the road actually is clear. A couple of simple programming modifications could easily make this a 5-star app..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Great for the most partI love the Varia and would not ride without it. But the app is causing screen burn in on my iPhone 12 mini. The white lines remain visible on my screen even with the brightness turned down for the ride. Maybe a gray color would help alleviate the problem..Version: 1.7.0

✓ Weak bare bones appPaying nearly £200 for the radar and the app does nothing other then beep and display the cars from your position. You should be able to overlay this app over other apps or this app should have a map feature as well. ✓ Too QuietThe warning sounds are too quiet on my iPhone 6S. I don’t hear them when riding. I do hear them when stopped at the roadside when there is no wind noise. But they are still quiet, and my phone speaker volume is turned up to max. Garmin should allow you to use alert tones from your device. ✓ Sounds were mixed up in latest versionWith the latest update, the “all clear” sound is now the same double chime tones as the “new car detected”. There is no longer a difference between the sounds so it constantly sounds like there are new threats immediately detected after a tracked car passes. ✓ Latest update removed cyclist trackingI have been using Varia for close to eight months, and up to the latest update I was very pleased with the app and the Garmin radar device. Reason for only giving it three stars is that with the latest update they no longer give you the option of tracking other cyclists. So when my spouse falls behind, I have to constantly check my six rather than having the app/radar do the job for me. Previous version had that option, a feature that allowed the users to remain better aware of their surroundings. Please fix this..Version: 2.0.3
