✓ Fun, addictive BUT… NOW IT CRASHES & won’t loadI enjoyed playing this game, but recently it is very inconsistent on the number of moves given on a level. Some levels take me multiple tries to beat. But it is Very frustrating, when I have 30 moves on the try I just loss and go to play it again and have 10 or less. This inconstancy is getting worse the more I play. ✓ Fun but not a lot of rewardThe game is fun but the reward system is limited and the game keeps pushing me to blow my real world money to get more in game money and that detracts from the fun factor and the game ramps up the difficulty way too fast I wish they would bring the difficulty down a bit and wait to up the difficulty when your town is at least half done. ✓ Game is fun but...Enjoyable, good playability, challenging enough to be fun but not frustrating. Problem is the ads. I don’t mind watching ads, I know that’s the “price” you pay for a “free” app, my issue is that the ads ALWAYS come with audio. Do I really need five seconds of audio to go with the add? Most of the time while I play I’m listening to a podcast or a program, so every time the ads come on I have to wait until they finish, back out of the app, go in and start my podcast again, then go back to the game. ✓ Not Enough Time!!Although this game could be a lot of fun, I find it very frustrating because the game never gives you enough time to reach each level. I know the designers do this so the player will have to buy lives to stay in the game. Well, most players don’t have that kind of money to be spending on a game, or would even want to. It takes all the fun out of playing. I can see having a hard challenge every so often, but it seems each level never has enough time to get the level done. ✓ Disappointing gameNot what the ad showed what kind of game it really is. I downloaded it to try because the ad made it look it was again even about fixing things up but also meeting the challenge of which things to choose to get the task done and the consequences for the wrong choice and the right choices moved you further ahead ing the game. When it’s really just another bejeweled type game with limited number of moves that eventually lead to having to used all sorts of booster helps to pass the levels just to move ahead in the game but then le stars won needed to do each task to advance in the game get wasted on stupid things like going to talk to someone which does nothing to advance in the game or things like start a new day, etc… all things that should automatically happen. ✓ New playerI just started the game. I would like too give it a 5 star. However, I have already noticed that every trivial task cost at least one star.I can see where this game is going. I’ve deleted games before that got ridiculous with this and the puzzles got to where the moves were very few yet the items needed weren’t on the board that were needed and when it was the puzzles where it was dropping items like hotdogs. You had very few moves and no way they could be set up because the hotdogs weren’t even visible on the game. I hope this isn’t one of those games because I will delete it as well. ✓ Game glitch, no response to help requestI submitted a request for help with LOVE STORY. I am at level 9 and the game will not let me complete it. It he “play” button is not there. I can choose a boost, but no play button. So I spent money on love letters and boosts so I could play through level 10, but it won’t work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still nothing. ✓ The fun has endedReally enjoyed this game for the first few weeks, building and renovating. But now I’m playing difficult levels only to have to use 3 hard-earned stars for someone’s conversation! I want to use them for construction, not for Quentin to talk to Sam! If it doesn’t improve I’m deleting this game. And now I have to use 4 stars for a renovation, and it took 2 days to earn those. ✓ WAY too Expensive, feels like a scam!This is a VERY cute game, & the artwork is adorable. The storyline isn’t bad, either... but I’m probably going to end up getting rid of it, as it’s just priced WAY over what a person in this economy could possibly afford. Examples: it costs a star just to begin the day, many trivial tasks take 2 or more stars to complete, and the boosters are about 20x overpriced, even in comparison with other G5 games. Unlike other games, there is very little one can do to earn more spendable credits, and the learning curve is high. The only way to continue when you run out of moves in the game is to spend 900 (!!!) coins, and that only gets you five moves, which will invariably get you within one move of completing the board, making you feel like you’re playing a losing slot machine, sending good tokens after bad, but if you don’t, then you risk losing your last life & THOSE are bloody expensive as well. G5 DEVELOPERS: this is a lighthearted, fun, somewhat juvenile game that’s priced like porn... you should SERIOUSLY re-think your pricing strategy before all the players realize that it’s free to play in the sun. I play a lot of your games, and this one is the only one where I felt genuinely annoyed at being fleeced (Homicide Squad is a close second on the price-gouging table)!.Version: 1.4.500
✓ Too much againI realize the making of this game is costly and so is the upkeep. However your company makes several games with basically the same premise and methods. I enjoy the game and I use it to relax and stop thinking of the things going on these days. My main complaint is the continuing cost of playing. I spend some money playing and try to keep at a sensible level. However, the cost seems forced in some of the games set up. It’s As if it becomes continuously impossible to advance without spending an unacceptable amount of money. I am aware that the company has to profit, but based on the number of games out there, and the number of members you have throughout the world you probably make a tidy profit. People are not going to have money to throw away because of the income losses and other problems that loom at this time. I don’t think you are interested in that. ✓ Anticlimactic eventsI’ve only been playing for a month so the Halloween event was my first. It’s extremely disappointing to put in tons of effort to upgrade a haunted mansion only for the mansion to disappear the second you finish the last Halloween level. I didn’t even have time to see what the last upgrade looked like. The special building should remain on the map for the duration of the event period (like in Mahjong Emperor, for example). Before this I would’ve rated this game highly but this is genuinely disappointing. Edit a few months later: I find I’m hardly playing this game anymore because you no longer have the collection events (umbrellas, coffee cups, paint cans, strawberries etc). I used to use those to build up items to participate in the main monthly events, and now that you never have the collection events anymore I’m just not as motivated to play. ✓ Can't launch game, and other problemsYes this game is easy but I like it. Which makes it frustrating now that when I try to play, it starts launching and then crashes me out. Also, there should be a connect 4 in a square shape that makes some type of objects fly to hit other objects across the board without disturbing the ones in between. ✓ Match TownMatch Town is a different take on standard match-3 games. The difference comes with the inclusion of character driven story elements that you can unlock as you advance. The overall aesthetics of the game are more cartoony than I’m used to and at times I feel like it’s more meant for children than adults. What I dislike about the game is the monthly quest. I haven’t completed any of them because as you level up the event, the entrance price increases until you have to keep shifting between the main game levels and the event to get enough items to play said event. I stop playing the events when it hits 30+ items to enter and the level count to ascend hits 40 rounds. ✓ Not what it used to be, and good thing it’s free.If I would have reviewed this app when I first started playing, I would have given it 5 stars, but not any longer. Ever since the May 2022 upgrade, the platform has become unstable. Each time I play I get kicked out of the game and to make matters worse, each time I try to play I have to uninstall and reinstall to play. I have completed more than 3000 levels and one day I won’t be reinstalling the game. I have tried to let tech support know about this problem but all they do is send me emails asking what is wrong, when it happened, etc. I don’t think they bother to read the responses because all they do is ask the same questions and never try to fix the problem. ✓ DisappointedThe game was fun at first and I really got into it. The storyline is okay but I feel that is not intended for children rather more for a mature group. The levels are easy at first just like any other game however as the game progressed and I started getting to higher levels the game scam me out of moves. So I’m on level 593 and every time I start the level it will give me 5 moves then I restart it and then it will give me 10 or 15, 20 or even 30 then back to 5. It’s ridiculous. I’m seriously thinking about deleting the game if it’s going to do that. It’s not the only level this has happened. Literally I would be playing starting with 20 moves then I make 3 moves and all sudden I have only 5 moves left. It’s absurd!! ✓ Shame reallyThis is a cool game to play as the building of the town etc is quite exciting, it’s just a shame you guys have made some levels (namely 240) which I’ve been on for weeks, so difficult to even fluke beating it. I know you need to make some money to keep providing games etc but I have spent some of my own money thru choice. What I do NOT like is being unable to advance at my own pleasure but have you guys trying to FORCE me to buy keys by creating frustration with impossible levels. Sometimes the “tasks” don’t move you much further in the game/storyline- like “talk to mayor” is 2 stars but you only win 1 Star per level or “start a new day” is 1 Star but it took like 7 tries to complete the level to get 1 Star. ✓ Degradation of Match3 GenreIt astounds me that a team of people managed to sit around a table and all came to the decision to make the worst reinvention of the Match3 formula they possibly could. The fact fireworks and bombs are locked by colour is absolutely ridiculous and segregates the game from children (difficulty) and disabled audiences (e.g. colourblind) - I’m not sure if you were trying to be innovative for the sake of innovation but you’ve completely butchered a potentially amazing game just to “stand out”. The game still crashes at the final load point and G5doesn’t seem to care. The game started crashing and the developer is doing nothing to fix it.
