Samsung Galaxy Buds for Negative User Reviews

WHY!!!I downloaded the app from the App Store only to open it on my new iPhone and I get greeted with “can’t open this app, not compatible with this device” which is strange because I’m running iOS 14.7.1 ant the app is compatible with iOS 10 onwards if any one has any suggestions that would be great..Version: 2.1.0

UselessCan’t connect to galaxy buds 2.Version: 2.1.1

Samsung buds or software error.I bought this just 2 days ago. Every time I try to activate noise cancelation, it shows working. But I can every single particle around me. I’m way much confused whether it’s buds error or the software error. It should be fixed because we buy it with 250 AUD. Is this for not getting a active noice cancellation device?.Version: 2.1.1

Update please!!!Need to connect my buds pro to my iphone. Thankyou!.Version: 2.1.0

Buds Pro NOT CONNECTINGBuds Pro never even is detected, Nov.2021 = still never worked, no matter if app updates or not, a newer version came out also, so they will never support the original that came out same time as app did, WHAT A FAIL PRODUCT, I HATE THE TOUCH PART ALWAYS SCREWS UP VIDEOS AND AUDIO, PLEASE FIRE INVENTOR OF SUCH A SILLY FEATURE! AND THIS APP CREATOR!.Version: 2.1.1

Please update to use older modelsAs someone else has mentioned in a previous comment the ability to not be able to use the galaxy buds or galaxy buds+ is a massive disappointment. Having just switched over to the iPhone 13 pro max from the galaxy note+ and not being able to use an app to control settings for the galaxy buds which I bought with the note is a little annoying. Please can you look to add these as an option to the app.Version: 2.1.1

Terrible do not recommend buying Samsung budsHave the buds plus, thought the app was supposed to be good. Shame I did not read the reviews before I bought the buds. My buds are connected but the app says I need to connect them and the screen is locked basically. Can’t confirm or update software. What a waste of money buying the buds. Honestly sound ordinary anyway but unable to play with settings in the app because it says they are not connected as I am listening to music.Version: 2.1.0

Buds work but can’t find in appThe buds work well on phone but does not seem to link to app Have a iPhone XS.Version: 1.1.3

App does not work on older iPhonesCan’t find the app on the Apple App Store. The app doesn’t work for older iPhones (even if they are running the new Apple software). Have a iPhone SE running version 13..Version: 2.1.0

App doesn’t find my galaxy buds proI am so frustrated with the fact that every time I try to listen to music, the volume keeps fluctuating turning down at the slightest noise from the outside. I tried installing this app to pair my buds to try and disable this volume fluctuations which I believe is for safety reasons, but of course this app doesn’t recognise or finds my phones. What a waste if my money, could have just bought apple’s airpods and save myself from this hassle which doesn’t work!.Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t recognize my earphonesDespite trying multiple times troubleshooting it still won’t recognize my earbuds. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 and it won’t connect to the app..Version: 2.1.1

No connectionI’ve had these buds plus for almost a year and about 3-4 months ago the slowly stopped working. So I gave up on them. But today I decided to see if I could get them to work because I really love them for workout with. I couldn’t connect the buds to my iPhone 11 (had for about 3 years now). I tried following the steps I’ve seen to disconnect the buds and tapping and hold the buds while in the ears to reboot them…nothing is happening. I’d love to be able to use them again as they are by far the best earbuds I’ve had. Anything to get them to reconnect to the phone would be great, but I fear the worst. Update: still not able to connect my ear buds to Bluetooth. The ear buds do not show up as an option to connect to Bluetooth. I’ve tried connecting to another phone and still nothing..Version: 2.1.1

IPhone 8- app not connecting to air budsI have the Galaxy buds and an iPhone 8. The buds connected to my Bluetooth and are working however I have no idea how to use them as the buds won’t connect to the app. Doesn’t say that there are any nearby- no matter how charged they are..Version: 2.1.1

Useless productI can’t understand the reason why the Airbuds 2 pro are not compatible with the app for iOS. You guys sell an expensive product that doesn’t have compatibility. The audio is superior to the AirPods, but all I can do is to use them with Bluetooth, i can’t take advantage of any of the features for your poor compatibility!!! Where can I return my product????.Version: 2.1.1

Not as expectedWhen I first bought Galaxy Buds pro for IPhone it seemed like a great idea, all I would be losing was the sound control, when I found out Samsung released an app for Galaxy Buds which gave you the options like on a Samsung phone I was excited but when I found out it was incompatible with anything but the Live or Plus I was dumbfounded. Why not just update it for the newer models like Pro, 2 or the original and Samsung hasn’t released a new app or update so I guess it will stay this way for a long while..Version: 2.1.1

Stupid samsungThe buds pro has been launched for years and the app still not available. That’s stupid! Plus the developer never say anything useful. They just copy and paste. If this is what you can do, why not just say that in the item description? I have never seen any apps that not update for more than one year! Good job Samsung!.Version: 2.1.0

Incompatible with iOSI love my Galaxy Buds, and have used them religiously for two years. But the lack of support for use on iOS is getting ridiculous. This app simply does not work on modern iPhones. I recently upgraded from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 12, and cannot get the headphones to pair with either. However, using a friend’s iPhone 7, they worked first time. This is frustrating, and not what you would expect from such a large company. I feel incredibly let down by the lack of support from Samsung on this issue - the mildly sarcastic responses to other reviews, with the same instructions copied and pasted over and over, is insulting to customers who have forked over a small fortune for these headphones. To spend more than £100 on headphones with customisable settings, then be unable to alter these settings because their app is outdated, seems ridiculous. I will soon be switching to AirPods if this matter isn’t resolved..Version: 2.1.0

Connectivity issueI’ll start out by saying I honestly really enjoy the buds+. They sound awesome, plus the ambient mic mode and numerous other features are really nice. The issue I have is if I pair the buds+ through the app, my buds+ have no sound coming through them. My phone just sends the audio through the phone speakers like nothing is connected. If I just pair the buds+ through the Bluetooth connection menu in my settings for my IPhone X, they will function normally. If I pair them through my Bluetooth menu though I cannot pair them through the app, which prevents me from being able to use all the cool features. My phone and buds+ are both on the latest updates. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it, just to make sure there wasn’t just some bad file I downloaded. Or possibly just a glitch in my download. I have had zero issues with other headphone companies and their software for their headphones. This is a sad deal for me, because I really want to be able to use these headphones to their fullest exten. These are by far the most comfortable and best sounding truly wireless headphones I have had..Version: 1.1.2.001

Another poor Samsung productAfter buying a Quantum Dot TV a few years ago and it being pretty poor really for over 2k I swore I’d not get another Samsung product but stupidly I did . Buds constantly fall out , and when you need to adjust them in your ears to stop this happening it either pauses the play or skips on to the next song even though I’ve blocked the touch controls. Why ? Because the app is rubbish too. No more Samsung products from now on.Version: 2.1.0

If you only have an iPhone DONT BUY!!!This app is only compatible with two specific earbuds the buds live and buds +. Despite not being told until after you buy them, this app does not offer full support to any other earbuds. Meaning that you will be unable to customise your listening experience..Version: 2.1.1

Option not available for iphoneHey i tried to find option for galaxy buds 2 on your app to connect to my iphone, why there is still not an appropriate app for iphone users to use your products?.Version: 2.1.1

Device not appearingUnpaired from my S20 so I could pair to my iPhone 12 Pro. Buds+ and case fully charged. Open case to pair. Buds not visible. Attempted to repair with S20 so I could factory reset Buds via Wearables app. Buds not visible in S20 search either......?.Version: 2.1.0

Connecting issueI have an iPhone 11 and the galaxy buds+ , and at first the left bud became significantly quieter and I could barely hear a thing from it. Now the right bud is doing the same and unless you’re in a dead quiet space you can’t hear any music even with The volume turned all the way up. So I googled how to fix , very common but not easily fixed surprisingly. I downloaded the app to try and connect the buds to it and do it like many suggested but no success in connecting to the app. Buds were fully charged and ready to pair etc and the app never even locates them so now I’m stuck with these used to be really nice working headphones that I can’t even use. Is there a way to clean these or fix this issue were it’s compatible? Why have the option if it won’t even connect to the buds. Also I’ve uninstalled and re-downloaded the app multiple times no luck sadly..Version: 2.1.0

No support for anything above buds+No support for anything above buds+.Version: 2.1.1

This is no longer supported by SamsungSpoke to support.Version: 2.1.1

Buds Pro - Don’t connectI have the Galaxy Buds Pro and it doesn’t even give you the option to connect them, real disappointed.Version: 2.1.1

Disappointed!!Older iPhones aren’t compatible with this app. Don’t even bother downloading!!! wasted my money buying ear buds.Version: 2.1.0

Gaming mode not foundI downloaded this app on an iphone and there isnt a gaming mode option available in Labs when there should be one..Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy Buds Pro don’t connect to the app on iPhone!I wish I new that I could not get the Galaxy Buds app to connect to my new $350 Ear Buds Pro. Not Pro at all !! I like Samsung and have always found their products to work well but this is extremely disappointing. I paid the extra for the Pro so I could use all the cool features on the app. Should have said “it won’t work on the iPhone” some place in all the fancy advertising about how great the product is. I called the help line and they just said “it does work on the iPhone”. Wow thanks for that!! How about fixing the problem. When will this be fixed??.Version: 2.1.0

DOES NOT WORK. AWFUL. ANGRY.What’s the point having this app on iOS when it’s not compatible? I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and this app doesn’t work, it doesn’t identify my Samsung buds plus. Things online are very misleading and contradictory. Saying this app will be compatible with iPhone 7 and above, when it’s clearly not. Samsung you need to update this app so it is compatible and works!!!! If I had known this information I wouldn’t have got these buds. You are paying for a product which comes with an app and it just doesn’t work, you are getting half of a product. Feel cheated and should take them back. Extremely disappointed. 1 star review until this problem gets sorted..Version: 2.1.0

App is quirky it seemsUPDATE: the app is still problematic with call quality. It sounded fine with a few calls but then the same delayed and interrupted quality reappeared. The issue goes away after uninstalling the app. I thought my galaxy buds + were defective out of the box because I was having horrible audio issues when making calls but turns out the buds are fine and the issue may have been with the app. I uninstalled the app, then connected the buds just using the Bluetooth on my iPhone, then reinstalled the app and reconnected the buds in the app and the call quality issues have gone away, and music sounds great too! So besides this hiccup the app is great, easy to use and nice features with being able to control the ambient sound on/off and equalizer..Version: 2.1.0

The buds are no longer worth my moneyI purchased the buds live for compatibility between my iPad Pro and Samsung Note devices, although after the purchase I now find out the application does not support the iPad. This is terrible, the application should easily be compatible with an iPad Pro. Am I really required to own full Samsung devices to use my purchases efficiently? I knew this was correct for Apple but really Samsung?.Version: 2.1.0

.This app does not work with a iPhone SE???.Version: 1.1.2.001

Need old generation compatibilityOkay fine there’s a chip that improves the galaxy buds+ but surely you can make another app to suit the old generation of galaxy buds (which btw only came out in 2019 so they’re not even old) since on your website it claimed full compatibility with IOS. It’s so disappointing to loose 99% of the features of something you paid a hundred quid for just because the company refuses to make an app for IOS users!!!! Can you really not just make a whole app for the old generation? A lot of people are complaining and I think it would definitely be worth your while. RE your response: I don’t think you understood my complaint? There ISNT an app for the old generation of galaxy buds if creating an app for it requires a phone older than a 7 then that’s fine at least people with those phones will be able to utaslise it (and I have an iPhone 8 anyway so this app would work for me if I had galaxy buds+) but I was asking why they couldn’t create a whole new app for the old generation of buds? You can’t update this app to accommodate sure but can you not create a new one? I’m just really desperate to be able to use more of the features as is loads of other people as I’m sure you can tell from the other reviews..Version: 2.1.0

(Solved) Will Not Connect to Bluetooth. Even Followed Instructions All The Way.I did this on a iPhone 11 but I’m not 100% sure if it will work on all iPhone models. It should but you’ll have to give it a try to see if it works on your iPhone. There’s a Bluetooth connectivity issue with the Samsung ear bud app. The Samsung app seems to have been written by a 6 year old just starting out… To get around it simply pair your Samsung ear buds manually to your iPhone. Your phone will pick up the Bluetooth signal automatically and show in the Bluetooth settings as unpaired. Simply press pair ear buds and connect manually. The ear buds will work but you won’t be able to use the app to apply different settings and customize the way the ear buds sound or work. Even with out the app settings available the Samsung ear buds sound really good. They are much better sounding than the newer Bluetooth iPhone ear buds are… To get the Samsung ear buds to play louder than the normal loudest setting available or to add a bass boost download a sound EQ app and play around with the settings till you find what you like. Then delete the Samsung ear buds app all together because it’s worthless and can’t be used at this point. Hope this helps. 🎼.Version: 2.1.0

Does not connect with my model SM—R190Does not connect so I cannot change settings. I cannot turn off the ambient sound, sounds like I’m listening to music in a hurricane.Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t open on supposedly compatible deviceI downloaded this app, having checked it was compatible with my device - iOS 12.5.5. The specs said it was compatible with iOS10 and above. Lie! I downloaded it and could not open it. “Not compatible with your device.” I’ve been on a chat withSamsung for the last hour to no avail. This is completely false advertising! Now all I can do with my buds is listen through them. I can’t control them at all. A waste of money due to false pretences on the part of Samsung..Version: 2.1.1

IPhone 6S+ Incompatible.Very excited to try out my new buds after choosing the Samsung galaxy buds+ over the AirPods, only to find out that the app is incompatible with iPhones before iPhone 7.. Extremely disappointed as this was not advertised anywhere that I could find, and the reason for an incompatibility for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds seems ridiculous..Version: 1.1.5

Doesn’t work for ‘lower grade’ headphones. This app only offers to be compatible with galaxy buds live and galaxy buds+. I have galaxy buds2 and the app don’t know who she is..Version: 2.1.1

DissapointingSamsung really disappointed me here by not including the old buds - Something iPhone does very well imo. I bought these not long ago and now I have to spend another $200 just to use an app I can use on every other phone. Learn from your mistakes and release a software update allowing ios connectivity you rats.Version: 1.1.2.001

Doesn’t workDon’t listen to the one five-star-review there is. It’s bull crap. The earbuds were okay with my Samsung phone, but when I switched to Apple (I have an iPhone 12, all updated as well), so I tried this app SEVERAL TIMES within the span of several months. The app doesn’t work. At all. I have the Galaxy Buds+ and nope doesn’t work. I’m switching to AirPods due to better accessibility and compatibility. Even from my phone in general, the Galaxy Buds+ keep randomly disconnecting or stop producing sound so I would have to disconnect and reconnect again, which is no big deal the first couple times, but becomes very tedious. As for the earbuds themselves, I have tried all of the different silicone fits, none fit my ear comfortably. After a short period of time, my ear begins to hurt profusely and it aches for such long time since I have somewhat smaller ears (not excessively small, just a bit smaller than average). I suggest making the app more accessible for Apple devices..Version: 2.1.1

Great BT ear buds but connectivity issuesI have a iPhone 11 Pro and bought the Galaxy Buds+ so that I can fit them in my ear protection. AirPod stems are too long to fit in ear protection. I noticed the right ear is slightly lower in volume than the left. I checked this by switching ears and it was indeed the right ear bud that was lower in volume. I googled the problem and was suggested to download the app to fix the volume issue. However I cannot seem to connect my Buds to the app. The option for Buds comes up with a black pair and mine are white. Maybe that’s the issue?? Idk I’m not familiar with Galaxy products. I’ve tried everything I can think of: unpaired them from my phone, then tried through the app, nothing. Tried with them paired to my phone and still nothing. Deleted then re downloaded the app. Basically every option in between all that I listed I tried. Nothing. I keep getting the “Device not appearing?” Screen even though the buds are already connected to my phone. There’s a YouTuber (Devin Macon) that connected his Buds to his iPhone but he has the white Bud option; mine shows up as a black pair and there’s no other option. I’ll see if the unbalance improves but I can’t seem to connect the Buds to the Buds app. Please fix ASAP..Version: 1.1.5

Complete and utter garbage. This app is absolutely not fit for purpose in any way, shape or form. My partner and I both have Samsung earbuds, neither of which can be picked up on this useless app despite following all of the steps provided, meaning I can’t use all of the functions that come with my earbuds, meaning I’ve been absolutely conned out of my money thanks to Samsungs false advertising. You need to address these issues being raised and make the app actually functional in iOS instead of ripping people off and making out all of the functions are available when they aren’t. Total garbage..Version: 2.1.1

How to reset my Buds?Following my question from earlier. You said to reset my Buds+. However in order to reset my Buds+ I need to connect to the App. But I cannot connect to the App..Version: 2.0.2

Does not work for Galaxy Buds ProVery frustrating.Version: 2.1.1

App doesn’t recognise my budsSecond edit: I appreciate you getting back to me but the app still doesn’t work. Edit: In answer to your question on 4/11, I have an iPhone XS and buds+. The app still doesn’t work. - Didn’t even realise there was an app but the app doesn’t register/recognise the buds are in range, so I can’t connect them. I bought these last year and they’re now not working. Even worse, the issue isn’t even listed in the FAQs, so I have no idea what to do! Who designed this?!.Version: 2.1.1

Not workingI have an iPhone 13 and I know it’s possible to connect these to an iPhone because they would connect to my old iPhone perfectly fine. However on this phone, I have the app, it tells me it’s connected and that there should be two connections, but there is only one. So now I can hear these ambience noises in the headphones but not any actual music. That music, instead, comes out of my phone. On top of that for some reason when that one connection shows up, there’s no little “i” button for me to get more information and I’m unable to see the galaxy buds anywhere in my previous Bluetooth connection once the disconnect. It’s like it’s taunting me. It feels like a game of hide and seek. Cause why is it being so difficult. The app tells me to close it and open it again when it doesn’t work. I tried it. It still doesn’t work. Google tells me to click the “i” button. But that suddenly doesn’t exist. I used to love these headphones more than anything but this is suddenly the single most annoying pieces of technology I’ve ever owned. I’ve been going at it back and forth for like four hours. Even when I originally got these for my previous phone there was some back and forth but it was fixed within an hour and the end result was worth it but this time is it really worth four hours of my precious life?.Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy buds pro Still No app Support for IOS after 4 months. It's been over 4 Months since the Galaxy Buds Pro Came out and Still no support for IOS, Shame!! That's why I never use Samsung Products again, about to return the bud pro now and will never buy any Samsung product again. Still the same Samsung I left for ios..Version: 2.1.0

Disappointing no support for original budsShame on you Samsung, you finally release an app for the galaxy buds on IOS and there is no support for the buyers of the original buds, why would anyone bother to upgrade to the buds+ when going by your track record here, you will stop all support for them too in 12 months time. I won’t make the mistake of buying your product again..Version: 1.1.2.001

Serious flaw using an iPhone 12When pairing these new Galaxy Buds Plus I cannot use the app settings because a pop up screen blocks the app settings. It dates “to pair your buds make sure Bluetooth settings are turned on and both 407 and 407LE are connected”. Or something to that extent. At the bottom of this message that covers your screen and won’t let you actually use the app settings, it says “confirm”. No matter how many times I press confirm that screen still remains and does nothing. I’ve tried everything. Paired multiple times. Starting from scratch multiple times. Erased the app multiple times and redownloaded it. Nothing allows me to use the app options and it’s now infuriating. The buds connect. They play just fine. They show connection in Bluetooth, both buds, LE etc. yet nothing. Please fix this or tell me how to fix it. Thanks..Version: 2.1.0

Galaxy buds+I have had my buds for about 8 months, the sound is almost inaudible, I have cleaned and tried every fix available on the internet, these buds are a waste of money, they hardly last a year. It’s no wonder why I don’t buy Samsung devices if this is the stuff they put out to the public..Version: 2.1.1

Connectivity for full use of optionsSo I love my new Galaxy ear buds but I am having the same issue as most on these reviews . I can not take full advantage of there capabilities because the app does not work with iPhone … :-( , no equalizer and sound features. Just for reference I also tried many times to delete and uninstall the app just to wish and hope it would since and pair / no luck . I can only pair directly from the system pairing feature on the phone not through the app. So just so Samsung knows I love my ear pods but I wish I could really use them with my work issued iOS iPhone and use all the features , For that I give just 2 stars. If this ever gets fixed it would be automatically a 5 star..Version: 2.1.1

Not user friendly AT ALL!Very upset with these ear buds. You’d think for them being so expensive that everything should be straight forward and that they should work really well. Not the case at all. You need to work them off the app, no way in hell will the app pair with the damned things. Thankfully got them from Costco, they’ll be going back..Version: 2.1.1

This app is not compatible with iPhone 6s PlusThe App Store shows that this app is compatible with my phone but after loading the app, there is a pop up saying the app is not compatible with my phone? 😒false advertising...Version: 2.1.0

Is there a patch coming??My Galaxy buds won’t work with my IPad Air 1. When I open the Galaxy buds app it says my device is not compatible and Samsung won’t take them back so I am stuck with them being useless because I need them more for my iPad than my Samsung phone. Is there any chance of a patch to make them compatible?.Version: 1.1.5

UpdateThere is no way to do a software update. Every time I try to see if there is an update it say’s can’t connect..Version: 2.1.1

App Can’t find the Galaxy BudsThis App is pants. It won’t connect or pair with my buds so I can’t use the features in the app to tweak them! The buds work fine as a straight Bluetooth device and can be used to make calls, listen to music etc. My issue is I want to use and control the ambient noise level. The App can’t connect so can’t use this feature. Please fix this!.Version: 2.1.1

App Connectivity issue / compatibilityI read many of the reviews and I see so far many overlapping on the same issue, and sadly the app developers haven’t really made any updates or statements on these feedback, I’m facing a connectivity issue with the app itself, when download the app and connect my Buds plus,I cannot take any calls but I can listen to some of the music and sounds, on the other hand if I connect them normally, they would connect for some time but I’ve noticed switching back-and-forth between other phones or other devices could also cause an issue. For me it seems to be a software issue in the device itself, it’s not fully compatible with iPhones or Apple devices in general, I did try several devices and still facing the same issue, that’s how I came up with this conclusion. Hope this issue could be fixed on the next update. Overall I like the device and the sound quality, and all the features it offered..Version: 1.1.5

App compatibility original budsThe app doesn’t work with the original buds that’s just disgraceful of Samsung. Worst company ever.Version: 1.1.2.001

Not compatible with iPad Air 2But says, compatible with this device in the App Store!.Version: 2.1.0

Galaxy buds plus wont come up for available devicesI keep disconnecting and trying to get it to come up on the app but nothing comes up why make this silly feature when it could just scan for devices already connect instead of connecting through the app sad to not be able to use the earbuds the way they are intended.Version: 2.1.0

Can’t find galaxy buds +My iPhone can find my earbuds fine but the app cannot find them no matter what so I am unable to get any firmware updates. I’ve tried putting them in pairing mode, unpairing them from my phone, closing and reopening the case, uninstalling and reinstall the app but no matter what it won’t find my earbuds..Version: 2.1.1

My Galaxy Buds Live can’t update to latest software version!I have my blue Galaxy Buds Live for 3?years now. The first year everything worked fine you updated the App regularly and updates on my Galaxy Buds live was twice a year up until last year when you Samsung haven’t updated your iOS App in a long time. Now I cannot even update my Galaxy Buds Live to the latest update. I did all the required steps I put the ibuds Live in charging case waited til at least 50% charged than opened the case than I opened the App to start the software update of the buds live then a window pops up connection error a connection to the server could not be established please Check your wireless connection! I checked my wireless connection and tried several time to update the software of my Galaxy Buds live, it always showed the same message connection error! The buds cannot connect to the server! There must be something wrong at your end Samsung cause my WiFi/W-LAN connection is working properly without any problems. Perhaps you should update your Galaxy Buds App for iOS more often. I witnessed that you haven’t updated the App on a very very long time!.Version: 2.1.1

When they work, they are goodAfter multiple times of unsuccessfully trying to connect with my new 2020 iPad Pro, I am writing this review. I have the Buds+ bought earlier this year. My first problem earlier in the year was connecting with my iPod touch (newest one) - the app is not compatible with it. I contacted Samsung support and they were hopeless and told me to go into a store - the closest to me is 2 hrs drive and, oh, COVID19! Then I had connectivity problems putting my phone into my bag - it wouldn’t connect properly and was crackly. One day my audiobook kept stopping. As others have said, they are very sensitive to touch, and by adjusting them, I skip songs or book chapters. Never a problem with Bose, connection has always been fine. As I said, this new connection problem, with the new iPad Pro just tipped me over. In Bluetooth it shows them as connected, and they show up on the app on the iPad Pro when I open the case, I’ve updated the software, but on the iPad it says the iPad can’t be found! Waste of money. They look great though... I won’t contact support, given the problems I had with them before..Version: 1.1.4

HorribleThe company abandoned iPhone users. Can't connect Bud 2 to the app whatsoever...Version: 2.1.1

Third time is NOT the charmAfter reading some of the reviews hard to have any expectations, this app would work. This is my second iPhone, since switching from Samsung galaxies. I actually like galaxies and their products, like Apple, everything is about its own ecosystem. I had an iPhone XR, and the second GEN galaxy buds. The buds work on iPhone but there’s no way to track the battery life because the apps do not work. When I got the new phone (iPhone 11), I tried again, and it still did not work. After sometime now, I decided to try again thinking maybe there would be some sort of update to the app. I’m still using an iPhone 11 and I’m still using the second GEN galaxy buds. Running the latest iOS (16.4.1), and surprise surprise it still doesn’t work. I guess I’m going to have to start switching all of my stuff over to the iPhone ecosystem..Version: 2.1.1

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Will never buy Samsung again.I can connect my buds via blue tooth to the iPhone 12 but when I try and use this app it says device not appearing. Even though I can listen to music from the buds this app make can’t detect the buds. What gives. Unless this is fixed. This will be the last Samsung product I ever buy. Update: my model is SM-R170 Update 2: Thank for the reply, so what you’re saying is that they, will not work, as advertised, because backwards compatibility with the app is not supported. I bought them last December. I’ll return them as faulty immediately. Update 3: got a full refund, retailer says this is a constant issue which Samsung doesn’t care about..Version: 2.1.0

So bad I don’t know how to summarise it.Not only do they give you a terrible experience in general connecting the earbuds. They haven’t bothered to update the app for the new earbuds. They reply to most reviews ignoring the complaints and just answering the easiest ones. The help section isn’t even about buds and they make it so difficult to get help. And the help itself is assuming your on a Samsung phone. Never had a good experience with Samsung and this is no exception to the rule..Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t support galaxy buds pro. It’s a shame this doesn’t support galaxy buds pro. I regret getting buds pro now..Version: 2.1.1

I would have give zero star if it is possibleDisappointing 1: no support for galaxy buds, which had launched within two years and have lots of users. Disappointing 2: no support for iPad pro 10.5, which is a 2018 model. Same year launched along with iPhone 7, yet iPhone 7 is supported to this app..Version: 1.1.3

Does not work with Samsung Earbuds 2019Does not work with Samsung Earbuds. Terrible app and my earbuds just have a buzzing noise now. Can’t use them. Useless product! Going with Apple instead! Update: What Samsung have replied is simply not true. They worked before, why do they suddenly stop working and require an update. This excuse of software and hardware is ridiculous. It’s Samsung trying to get more money by forcing me to buy a new pair of Bud+ which won’t work in another year and a half! Will never ever buy any Samsung headphones ever again..Version: 2.1.0

Not iPod compatibleThis app doesn’t even work on an iPod. Got the buds to primary use for my iPod but without the app I can’t use the noise canceling feature..Version: 2.1.0

I would give this app 0 stars if I couldSamsung makes absolutely no sense. The Galaxy Buds are compatible with IOS, but not with this app. I will think twice before buying another product from Samsung ever again. I am not happy with my experience with Samsung. Why would you create an app that is not compatible with your original galaxy buds. Apple is a much better company than Samsung and I would not recommend buying from them. In addition to this stupid app design, the Galaxy buds themselves have horrible instructions. They do not tell you how to put them in the ear and other information like that. I originally wanted Galaxy buds because they have more features than Airpods, but now I wish I had bought the Airpods. Why on earth would you create an app that is not compatible with the original buds. This information should be shown when purchasing the buds so people know not to waste their money.Version: 2.1.0

No more updates..add buds pro!Very disappointed! Started to go downhill Samsung. You were on top of everything..latest phones are getting worse hence I moved ship shame i like these buds too much but then..you are not inclusive and don't care about your customers even if they only buy one product which is not a phone. Slowly will move away with everything at this rate..you are loosing customers! Update 30 May 2022 Very unsatisfying answer Samsung and feel its just a copy paste. Really making me reconsider my Samsung appeal..Version: 2.1.1

Buds proWhen this app will be update and support buds pro? Currently still no app on ios support buds pro..Version: 2.1.0

Galaxy buds2 pro not pairing with iPhoneSo as the title says I can’t pair my galaxy buds2 pro to my iPhone XR on the app. What’s the point in buying 300$ earphones you can only half use?.Version: 2.1.1

App does not work with iphone 11 and buds liveThis app is not working. I have an iphone 11 and buds live SM-R180. Should be more accurate on the description as It doesn’t connect. Update: thanks for the response. I have an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.4. The issue is that I cannot connect the buds live to the app, so I cannot reset the buds. I can open the app but once I click on start the app cannot recognize the buds and that’s all I can do. The buds live works with the regular Bluetooth but I cannot use all the features that the app allows me to use for my buds live. 2nd update: I follow each one of the steps suggested but the app still cannot find the buds live. It start searching and then just show a message that there is not a device near. They paired with the iphone but not with the app so I cannot use the features available on the app. Any suggestion? 3rd Update: thanks for the info. I followed each one of the steps and the result is still negative. The buds live cannot be found by the app so they only pair as a regular headphones. Not sure why it is so complicated to pair them with the app. They work fine as regular headphones but there is no way I can pair them to the app to use the features. By the moment I am disappointed with the app..Version: 2.1.0

Worst app for galaxy buds for iPhone compatibilityThis app has been been made so lazily and poorly. First of all, it doesn’t support older generations and the normal galaxy buds can’t be connected. Secondly, there are only 2 headphones that you can connect to. And I’m furious as I have a Galaxy Buds2 pro. This probably works good for people with the galaxy buds+ and live but he’ll no. If I could, I would have put a 0 star review for this app as it doesn’t get updated at all and the headphones that are available are ridiculous as there is only 2. 2! If you want to have touch control on your galaxy buds, it’s press the bud to switch from the transparency mode to noise cancelling, a tap to pause and a double tap to decline calls..Version: 2.1.1

No consistencyThis app has changed to a point that I don’t even know if its the right thing any more. I received the Galaxy Gear IconX as a gift a couple of years ago and this app can’t find them. The buds work over Bluetooth just fine but I can’t make any changes to their settings. Even the PC app is very limited in what it can manage. I’m sure these would work fine from a Samsung device but things like this reflect poorly and definitely do not encourage me to buy their other products. Update regarding developer response.... Thanks for your quick response however that really does nothing to help me out. When searching your website the IconX page says to search the App Store for IconX and the only two apps from Samsung are this one and Wear App that’s only for the watches. So, again, no consistency here because from what you’ve just said there isn’t an app on the App Store for the IconX when your website clearly instructs to search for it..Version: 1.1.3

Galaxy buds proSo I got the iPhone 11 and I was supper excited to upgrade from the galaxy buds + to the pro. I had been watching videos of why they were so good, that their better than air pod pro, I saw all these features, but when I had gotten my earbuds they wouldn’t connect to the app. I tried for about an hour to get them connected to the galaxy buds app but it wouldn’t connect. I wasn’t sure if this was faulty on my side or the earbuds. It wasn’t until the until i searched up that you guys didn’t support the pro’s to Apple users only andriod users. Now these are equivalent or maybe worse than the air pod pro’s. If you guys would add the galaxy bud pro’s to the app and allow all the features the buds would be 10x better..Version: 2.1.0

Please add support for the new galaxy buds proPlease add support for the new galaxy buds pro.Version: 2.1.0

App sucks big timeThe app doesn’t work with my iPhone 12. Earbuds are connected; app is downloaded but doesn’t show any feature. Did uninstal and reinstall a few times but to no avail. Please fix this asap.Version: 2.1.1

What? What is the bludeh point in an app that doesn’t work/respond to whatever you do over and over following the precise instructions: I “keep the case open while connecting,” enter pairing mode and click “scan for nearby devices”, and nothing; no response, not a peep. This is a poor effort on Samsung’s part! If I didn’t know the app would work at all I wouldn’t have made the purchase. I might be giving this 1/5 stars because it’s my only option, but truly it’s a 0/10 from me. 👎🏻.Version: 2.1.1

Not compatible with iPad miniI was really looking forward to using my live buds on my mini even though it says it’s compatible it’s not the app will not load at all Hopefully the developers will resolve this issue.Version: 2.1.0

This app could be even better.OK, I downloaded this app thinking it would work with my Samsung galaxy buds pro. If I’m not mistaken that’s some more recent version of the galaxy buds. Seriously, Samsung, if you’re going to develop an app for the Galaxy Buds. At least make sure that they work on all the newer versions of the GalaxyBuds. According to the information I’ve seen in this app. It only works on the GalaxyBuds live, and the galaxy buds plus. Doesn’t seem like it was worth spending $140 on a pair a GalaxyBuds pro only to find out that I can’t get them to work on this thing except for using Bluetooth. This should be fixed immediately before any future releases of this app. this is exactly why this app only gets three stars. Fix that little issue and I’ll consider upgrading my rating from three stars to five. And even recommending this app. What, until then. It’s going to stay at the current rating.Version: 2.1.1

Can't update softwareCan't connect to the server to get any software update for my Galaxy buds live.Version: 2.1.1

App is uselessThe app doesn’t work at all if you buds are connected to the phone. What’s the point? If you connect to the app, the sound doesn’t play via the buds, only through the phone. If you connect them via Bluetooth, you can hear through the buds but it won’t connect to the app. Samsung fix this!!! Update 1: Not sure how to respond directly to your comment but I’ll edit my review to include that info. I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ in light blue and my phone is iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.3.1. Everything is up to date. Update 2: did you read my review at all? Of course I know it has to be connected to bluetooth to work. THATS THE PROBLEM! It won’t play music or anything else if it’s connected via the app. If you connect via the Bluetooth settings in the iPhone settings, it works fine but then the app can’t connect to the buds. Stop being purposefully obtuse. Read the other reviews. There are tons of other people with the exact same problem. I upgraded to the buds+ solely for the the app. Fix it so I don’t have to return them as defective..Version: 1.1.3

Samsung Galaxy BudsPlease make this app also work for the original samsung galaxy buds. Thanks you!.Version: 1.1.1.005

Same iPhone issues as othersThe fact that it says “Can’t open this app - not compatible with your device” is ridiculous. I’ve looked at the developers’ responses to other reviews and have also worked in both software and hardware development myself, and they should be ashamed of themselves. You can write an app that works for more phones. The idea that dysfunctional software is “a hardware problem” that “can’t be addressed by software” is ridiculous. If the iPhone is supported by other apps, is on the latest iOS, and is capable of pairing with your Bluetooth devices, the lack of interest in developing a compatible app to adjust settings is exactly that - lack of interest, particularly in what clearly matters to customers. I will be returning my Samsung buds, probably for AirPods, and not buying from them again..Version: 2.1.1

Doesnt even work.Says its compatible with ipod, have the newest ipod up to date, lets me download the app, then in the app it says its not compatible??? What gives samsung? Extremely disappointed Edit: seems the developers dont even know what they have on the compatibility section. “Requires iOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch”.Version: 2.0.3

😉Download the app, and update from in the app again. :)) edit: App couldn’t found the buds. Somehow It connected but after the firmware update Active noise cancellation button was not working it wasn’t effected when I switched on. I loved the buds live design but it was totally disappointed didn’t work out for me and I did return. The buds live itself might be faulty not sure. My opinion, app should be simple, should be minimalist ux design. There should be only one page I guess not like click and pass the next step with different page. And I changed my 1 star to 3 star because you just respond very kindly, thank you.Version: 2.1.0

Incompatible with Buds 2, why???Come on guys this is pathetic. I got buds 2 as a gift and wanted to use them with my iPhone but just found out you’ve locked out iPhone users from buds 2 app support. It’s not my fault that I have an iPhone. Please set a good example and drop the ego and bring app support for buds 2. I don’t think you should punish iPhone users, we love both Apple and Samsung products. Why can’t you allow us freedom of choice?.Version: 2.1.1

Done everythingAfter spending a great deal of time on live chat and following every instruction such as, Turn phone on/off Bluetooth on/off Buds reset, numerous times Bluetooth says I am connected so I go to my audio book and it continues to play through my phone. I have followed ALL instructions still won’t play I know they are working and 100%charged Latest versions on both phone and app. I know my phone is capable of accepting as this is now my third set of buds, they have been lost, flushed and gone through the washing machine It’s not me or my mobile, think I have a lemon. I have solved the problem. It was this simple which you should include with your problem solving instructions Delete the app from your phone and App Library download again follow the on screen instructions and your connected. This I only learnt from you tube, maybe your call centre need some better training.Version: 2.1.1

Not iPhone compatibleI was super disappointed to find that my galaxy bud pros wouldn’t sync with the app :(.Version: 2.1.0

Buds pro 2 is not supported 😞I was using buds for couple of ears and when it’s time for near one I had no doubt which one. When I got the new one it’s not syncing then I when I back to the app look deep it’s only support live and plus. Now I have no premium features available am very disappointed and I have to return the buds and think about a new one. My question is for the developers why pro and pro 2 is not supported🤔.Version: 2.1.1

Fix your servers.Well after over month of usage of Galaxy earbuds+ I can say these earbuds are useless and the app as well. The earbuds + stoped responding properly and App what a joke. Unable to do firmware update as it can not connect to server really???!!! I have contacted Samsung and no response at all. Yes I have tried to reset the earbuds and reinstalled the bloody app million times as well. Quality of the buds+ minus 100% after month and the app is even more useless. Do not recomended at all both product and app..Version: 2.0.3

Needs ImprovementI have the galaxy buds live, and an iPhone 7 Plus, I had a lot of trouble connecting these to begin with. Sound would not come out of the earphones. I read another review on here that said you have to reset the headphones in the general section of the app, close the app, close the earphone case, open the case after about 30 seconds, connect via Bluetooth settings, then open the app, connect the earphones, and the sound should come out of them. I think this app definitely needs better optimisation, I have no idea how to change the tap settings, and setup was a bit stressful, I was worried I wasted my money on these earphones. Please better improve this app, it does work but there’s a lot missing, it’s very barebones and definitely needs to be more user friendly..Version: 2.1.0

The app doesn’t work on my iPhone 6Hello, I have the Galaxy Buds Live and I tried to download this app. It says my phone is compatible on the app store but when I downloaded it and opened the app, it says that my device is not compatible even though it says on the app store that this app can work on my phone. I need to use this app to see if my Galaxy Buds Live are fake or not because I feel that they might be. Thank you..Version: 2.1.1

Gatekeeping=badPretty ridiculous the buds FE aren’t supported on IOS. Lead by example, Samsung. Don’t gatekeep your own product..Version: 2.1.1

Not pairingUnable to pair the galaxy buds2 to my iPhone SE … tried multiple time with no luck and tried reinstalling app.Version: 2.1.1

Samsung won’t make it work with 1st gen galaxy budsDisappointed as I cannot configure my buds properly within iOS (I am using iPhone XS) and this app only works with galaxy buds plus. This is annoying as the original galaxy buds are still expensive but you can’t get all the features. Are you seriously telling us a fairly new product is already obsolete?? I refuse to believe you cannot do something as simple as making an app. You don’t need some new chip to make a freaking app. My old crappy huawei did not have any chip but it still worked with those. AirPods may have bad sound quality but at least they get the BASICS right, smh..Version: 2.1.0

Lift your gameSamsung lift you’re game and build this app for buds pro, flagship headphones. It’s been months!.Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t work with Galaxy ProI had some Buds Live which broke within an hour so I was given some Pro as a replacement. I was happy with this and I like them but because I can’t use the app with an iPhone I can’t turn off the touch commands. Every time I put them in my ears or try to adjust the fit I end up starting a heap of commands which is really annoying. I don’t know if it’s Samsung or Apple that is delaying an update to the app for Pro but I wish they’d hurry up!.Version: 2.1.0

Galaxy buds proI had the galaxy buds + for a while and worked great with the app the controls were awesome and never had an issue. I thought I would upgrade and got the galaxy buds pro and no matter what I try the app refuses to pair. It’ll connect almost instantly to my phone’s Bluetooth the second the case is opened. The sound quality it’s default at is great and no complaints there, but all the other settings I can’t access cause the app won’t pair to it. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, I’ve reset the buds pro multiple times. I tried each guide I found and I even tried seeing if they just happen to have their own app or are just not compatible and there’s nothing. I even had my wife try to get them to work with her Galaxy Buds app, but she couldn’t get it to connect, either. And reading the instructions that came with the box I know they’re supposed to pair with the app..Version: 2.1.1

Compatibility issuesHi I am using a iPhone 6s with the latest available OS. Upon installing the Samsung buds app and trying to use, its throwing an error stating “Can’t open this app ; Not compatible with your device”. Kindly request you to please provide an update so I could use it with my phone. Would be really helpful if it’s possible. Thanks.Version: 2.0.2

SmhJust wasted $200 cause this stupid app doesn’t connect with the new galaxy buds and of course my old ones connect so what reason should I have to believe the new ones don’t.Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy Buds app - doesn’t support Galaxy BudsHave we really got to the point where a company doesn’t support headphones they sold less than a year ago? Basic functionality still available via Bluetooth connection and touch controls, but somehow the tech team at Samsung are incapable of writing an app to control. Bye bye pass through and the other features you were sold on. Lesson learned - don’t buy Samsung headphones. You’ll just get an excuse for why it isn’t their fault and you should just buy this year’s model..Version: 2.1.0

Don’t get if planing to use on an ipadI got the galaxy buds plus because I wanted to use them with both my phone and iPad, and I can’t because it’s not compatible! I have read developer responses to other reviews and they have said that there is not iPad version available. Well then Samsung, make an app! By making an iPad based app, you would make many customers happy, and bring business up. Respond when an app is finally made. My iPad model is iPad Pro 9.7, with the latest update..Version: 2.0.3

Won’t connectNot matter what I do I cannot get my galaxy ear buds to connect. I’ve tried looking at peoples suggestions on places like reddit and the samsung website but whenever I try to pair the earphones with the app, all I am faced with is the app telling me there are no earbuds in range when my earbuds are literally searching for devices. I’ve read it’s something to do with the recent iphone updates, I’m not sure, however I have one earbud now that isn’t working and I have no way to reset it..Version: 2.1.0

Won’t OpenWon’t let me use the app. I have a IPhone 6 and the first galaxy buds. I would like to adjust some settings but when I try to open the app it won’t work. I have downloaded and deleted this app many times trying to get it to work but it never does..Version: 2.0.3

Bring the support for samsung buds first genI was happy to know that samsung is brining an app for buds for ios but when i found out that this does not support the first gen galaxy buds, i was disappointed. Samsung should bring the first edition support as well..Version: 1.1.0.013

Useless AppDoesn’t matter how many resets or re-installations I’ve tried it never finds the buds. Thankfully my phones Bluetooth syncs with them just fine so I can actually use my earbuds.Version: 2.1.1

Cannot find my new buds liveThe app cannot find the airbuds but will do so on my other phones. Very disappointing. Have resettled and connected properly with no luck..Version: 2.1.0

Mostly works.Response to developer response: It’s absolutely possible for Bluetooth devices linked to an iPhone to do everything that the Galaxy Buds+ currently do, while having volume controls that are totally independent of the volume slider in iOS. I have multiple Bluetooth headphones/speakers/receivers that do exactly this. On those devices, their internal volume controls act like the potentiometer-based in-line volume controls that are found on some headphones—they adjust the final volume without changing the position of the slider in iOS. That’s absolutely something that these earbuds should be able to do too, even if it’s via a manual slider in the application. Original review: With these earbuds, there’s currently no way to adjust the volume output of the buds independently from the single volume slider in iOS. That artificially limits the range of output volume you can get out of them—it means that they’re too quiet for some environments, too loud for others, and that it can be difficult to get the volume level set right where you want it. Admittedly this is mostly a deficiency within iOS, but it would be nice if this application allowed me to change it—either via a slider in the application, or by allowing the user to control the volume output of the phone via the phone’s buttons, and the volume amplification of the buds via the touch controls on the buds themselves..Version: 2.1.0

OkDownloaded the app didn’t expect much because it’s Samsung and I have a iPhone 13 but there is literally no support I can find for the galaxy buds pro they are not even an option on the main screen and I don’t see why they could not just send out an update so you can use them on the app so I’m probably just going to wait for a while and get AirPods witch is a disappointment I’m not saying AirPods are bad it’s just the galaxy buds are really comfortable the funny part is it’s not even anything to do with apple it’s Samsung issue just feels like you are strong armed into buying Samsung products and if you have anything other then a Samsung device then that’s it no help for you I will definitely be staying away from Samsung products witch again is a shame can I add as well these galaxy buds pro are £200+.Version: 2.1.1

App can’t find budsHey, rather than trying to trouble shoot uneducated users to an unsuccessful conclusion….maybe just get your programming minds together and develop the app so that it works seamlessly. As a customer, we just want to buy, download and use. After paying the high price for the product, we should not be left with frustration of troubleshooting what should “ just work” Just saying.Version: 2.1.1

Update this please :(When are you going to update this app for the galaxy buds pro?.Version: 2.1.1

Be warned! App not compatible on IPhone with Buds 2I’m super annoyed having purchased these- not realising that the app (when used on iphone) is not compatible with the Buds 2. The app cannot even pick up the headphones. So I connected through Bluetooth; which is great and works. But you can only use the headphones to stop and play music. For the price of this that’s absolutely to absurd! I could of brought a $40 pair from a different brand that at least I could turn the sound up and down or skip songs!!!.Version: 2.1.1

Worst appDoesnt connect to ear buds they’re undiscovered after doing all the trouble shoot steps, Contacted support and no one gets back to you Worse app and team ever.Version: 1.1.3

Fix the app!I purchased my galaxy buds+ today and downloaded this app. when i try running the app it says my device is not compatible? I am on IOS 12.1.2, and the recommended/compatible settings are surpassed with my device, however the app doesn’t let me use it!! Please fix!.Version: 1.1.2.001

Worst APP EVER!When my husband gets the Samsung buds for free when purchasing his Samsung S10 5G phone, you would think the product would work with the app that comes out for it. But NO! I have an iPhone and since the Samsung buds had great reviews and at a much better price point, it’s a no brainer which ear buds we would go with. Fast forward to having them for almost a year and losing just one of the eat buds because your cat thinks this is the coolest toy ever. How do you suppose we found the other ear bud? Not with the iPhone that it was paired to, no, with my husband’s Samsung S10 that has the app built into his settings. This is the stupidest app ever! Just because technology has upgraded, doesn’t mean you forget about the original version of the product! When these crap out, which is already happening, I have problems with the earbuds dropping calls, people not being able to hear me, not being able to hear the music I am listening to - it drops the music about 5 seconds into the song, and so on, I will gladly be going with another company..Version: 2.0.3

I need to pair my Galaxy Buds2!!!I've seen the reviews section, and they've been telling us that it's not possible to pair Galaxy buds2 or pro for three yearS, and we still can't do it!! Please update that, so we can use the app!!.Version: 2.1.1

NOT compatible with Galaxy Buds ProIt’s amazing to see how many different models of Apple products are not compatible with this app, and it turns out that the Galaxy Pro buds are completely incompatible with any Apple device and won’t work with this app. I’ve been trying and trying to figure out how to connect my Galaxy Pro buds to this app and finally, after hours of digging around on the internet over a couple weeks and a long chat with a support worker, I learned that the entire Galaxy Pro product line doesn’t even work with this app. Meaning there is no way to program my new buds whatsoever. These were gifted to me for Christmas so I hadn’t done any research and just assumed they would work with the Galaxy Buds App, because why on earth wouldn’t they right? Even on the app home page it only references Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Live, and Galaxy + - no mention of the Pro model at all. In my opinion, it’s absolutely ridiculous that the upgraded Galaxy Pro doesn’t have an Apple app that is compatible. Do better, Samsung, and fix this before you lose your entire market of IPhone users..Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t work on iPhoneI have an iPhone 6S plus. iOS 13.3.1. App Store states that my device is compatible. But app does not work. Error message states “can’t open this app. Not compatible with your device”. Galaxy Buds + hardware works great and excellent product. Why is the app available on App Store if it doesn’t work? How did this get past QA? Please have an update available soon..Version: 1.1.2.001

No support for Galaxy Buds ProWould be nice if they disclosed that this app doesn’t support the Galaxy Buds Pro somewhere before I wasted time trying to connect to the app, but here we are. I had a pair of Buds Pro for about a year before I switched to iPhone. When I had a Samsung device, the app was great & part of the reason I enjoyed using the Buds. Now, those of us with Buds Pro on iPhone are out of luck in using these headphones to their full functionality - including features like Active Noise Cancelling (you know, one of the main reasons people probably invested in these). I really like Samsung, but this is such a flop. 👎🏻 Bottom line for iPhone users: don’t bother purchasing any line of Galaxy Buds, period. Eventually, and rather quickly, you will be phased out of their full functionality from the app & you will not be getting the full value for your money. 💯.Version: 2.1.1

No Pro and Buds2 supportThe lack of support for the newer buds (Pro and Buds2) is pretty ridiculous. I understand ecosystem lock in is a thing, but if you are touting that you are an “open” ecosystem, then you should aim to support other platforms too. I bought the Buds not because of the ecosystem, but because I genuinely believe they sound better than AirPods. Actions speak louder than words, though, and this is probably going to be my last pair of Galaxy Buds..Version: 2.1.1

UnusableI have installed this on my iPad Pro 2017 with IOS 13.5.1 but it will not work. I open it, click on ‘Start the journey’ and get the message that it’s not compatible with this device. The Galaxy Buds+ device does connect fine with my iPad. However, I thought the supporting app was supposed to be compatible with all IOS versions beyond IOS 10. Also I can see from a previous developer response that it does not work with the 1st Gen iPad Pro, but my iPad 2017 is 2nd Gen. In reply to Developer response to my review, my model no. is A1701, so it is not compatible. Very disappointed, and have spent some time establishing that, after all, the app is not compatible. This comptability info should be spelt out more clearly and precisely at the top to stop everyone wasting their time downloading on to incompatible devices..Version: 1.1.5

App not compatibleHey I have Iphone 6 and when I try to open the app it says app nit compatible. Even on my iphone 6s it does the same. PLEASE HELP ME..Version: 1.1.3

Doesn’t work with galaxy buds 2 on iPhoneReally annoying to work and then find out that the app doesn’t work with the galaxy buds2 on an iPhone so I’m unable to track and customise my earbuds. Really disappointing for such a big brand. Update- it’s been almost a year and still no update to the app, unable to customise Galaxy buds 2 on iPhone, extremely disappointing that they only allow pairing of the beans and pros when they offer so many other earbuds. Frustrating and disappointing..Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t Work on IPad Air 2This app is not compatible with IPad Air 2 device, in App Store it is compatible but have tried 2 times and both times when you start the setup process it then says it is not Compatible with my Device. I have the latest version 15.1 of software.Version: 2.1.1

Why has this app not been updated with new buds?!I recently switched from Samsung to iPhone because other members in my household run IOS. I currently have Galaxy Buds Pro and love them , so when I read that there was a Buds app for iPhone I was excited. This excitement died just as quick as I downloaded it because this app ONLY SUPPORTS TWO MODELS, and of course my model isn’t one of them. You would think for Samsung being a large company they would fix this, especially because the lack of support tarnishes their business, andthere seem to be soooo many of us in the same predicament. I don’t want to just use them via Bluetooth because I am only getting half of the experience I should be. I really hope they do do an update soon, because if not, I will be switching to all Apple products for a seamless use..Version: 2.1.1

Samsung does it again“Not compatible with your device” is how I’m greeted when I try to fire up this app. Apple still supports my iPhone 6s, the latest iOS supports it, but apparently Samsung does not. Yes, I could have read the “iPhone 7 or later” buried near the end of the app description, but maybe restrictions like that should be called out more obviously? Fine, I’ll install it on my much newer iPad. Nope, “not compatible with your device”. Seriously? The iPad has all the capabilities of the phone, is just as good for Bluetooth applications, but you don’t support it at all? (And yet allow the app to be installed on it.) So now I have absolutely no way to configure or use the advanced features of my new Buds+. Has I realized this, I would not have bought them in the first place. Way to go, Samsung. Update: I am using an iPad Mini 4. Why not tell your customers what the actual hardware requirement is, instead of repeating the vague “hardware compatibility limitation” in so many reviews? I assume you want Bluetooth 5.0 support but here’s the thing - the iPhone 7 that you DO support only has Bluetooth 4.2... as do my devices and those of many other reviewers. Without those details, it simply sounds like you guys are blowing smoke..Version: 2.1.0

Buds liveBought today, got connected, but sound is still come out from iphone not the buds, don’t know why, my iPhone is 11 pro.Version: 2.1.1

Has anyone tested this app before releasing? It does not detect my buds at all. Tried connecting through iphone bluetooth first, tried detecting through app first, both din’t work. App can't find buds. Seems like this app cannot do the one thing it was designed to do..Version: 2.1.1

Lack of support for other modelsWhy does this only have support for 2 models of galaxy buds? I checked the reviews and someone else mentioned this issue. Developers replied with “they will update the app.” It’s been a year, still only two models. Do you not want us to use Samsung products?.Version: 2.1.1

Functionally useless.Seems that the developers aren’t in any rush to make this app useful at all. I recently bought the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and cannot pair them with my iOS device within the application to take advantage of any in-app functions. Considering I paid $350 AUD for the earphones, one would hope that I would have the ability to skip the current song without having to pull my phone out of my pocket. Maybe I’m just asking too much..Version: 2.1.1

If I lose themThe find my earbuds function only works if the earbuds are connected and doesn’t show where the case is located on a map.Version: 2.1.0

Buds liveUsing an iphone 12 Left earbud is connecting totally dead even showing on buds app. right works well. Tried reset, uninstalled app. Still no response.Version: 2.1.0

DéçuJe suis déçu je n’arrive pas à associé mes buds pro à l’application sachant que je perds toujours mes buds j’ai peur, je ne saurais pas comment les retrouver..Version: 2.1.0

Samsung earbuds pro not compatible with iPhone 12Bought these earbuds when it first released and it was flawless. Amazing sound quality etc BUT now trying to use the earbuds with my iPhone 12 Pro Max but this app doesn’t find the earbuds. The only work round is connecting via the iPhone settings and adding the Bluetooth but this means I lose a lot of the functions of the earbuds esp the noise cancelling. Samsung - any ideas or solutions???.Version: 2.1.1

IssuesThe app isn’t working for me. It says devices found when trying to connect but then nothing shows. I’m doing as the directions say but it doesn’t work. I’m using a galaxy buds 2 pro and an iPhone 8 Plus and I’ve tried on my iPad 9 as well. Please help me..Version: 2.1.1

Couldn’t Update SoftwareAfter countless attempts over 6+ months I still cannot update the software on the Galaxy Earbuds from my iPhone. I forever get the error message “Couldn’t update software. There was a problem connecting to the server. Try again later.” I’ve reset the device, removed the Bluetooth connections, deleted and reinstalled the Galaxy Earbuds software in countless combinations. I really want this software to work as I love the buds. They need updating as they are having connection issues with my iPhone..Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy buds proStill no support for buds pro👎.Version: 2.1.0

App claims to work with iOS 10 or laterYet this is not the case. When I look at the compatibility tab on the app it claims that it works with my phone, and that the app only requires an iPhone with iOS 10 or later. Yet when I open the app on my phone I get an abrupt pop-up simply stating that the app will not work on my phone, no other information given. I use an iPhone SE (2016 model) running iOS 12. There shouldn’t be any reason why this app can’t work with my phone. I have purchase a pair of Galaxy Earbuds hoping to be able to use them with the app. That is the entire reason I bought the earbuds. If there is no way to use the app with the earbuds on my phone I will be sending them back to the manufacturer. If you can’t be sure the earbuds will work with your phone then I see no reason to use the app or purchase the earbuds..Version: 2.0.0

Samsung buds2 pro17th March 2023 the latest best Samsung buds2 sound fantastic on my iPhone 12, however the supported app doesn't detect these. I can only use tap actions to adjust but I can't see what the ANC mode I'm in, I can't tell how much power remaining. The app doesn't see these latest buds2.Version: 2.1.1

App doesn’t work on iPad ProEdit: Bluetooth works! To connect Bluetooth, press and hold both buds buttons (while in ears), buds will enter Bluetooth mode and connect. This was NOT in the instruction manual!! Can’t connect G Buds Live to iPad Pro, AND the GB App doesn’t work on the iPad Pro! Only sometimes will these buds show in Bluetooth and even then they will not connect! Why is there not a feature to long press for Bluetooth pairing?? Is this software or hardware, because this is a massive oversight! :( This app needs work or a new app is needed for iPad users. I have other even cheap true wireless earphones that connect easily with iPad, this is rubbish in this day and age. No excuses from manufacturer/developer! Samsung’s site even says to use the buds app on iOS!.Version: 2.1.0

Please update the app so I can connect with my Galaxy Buds ProPlease update.Version: 2.1.0

NO SenseHow do you make an app that is not compatible to its original product version!! When will this app be compatible or when will there be an app that is compatible? I was sooo excited when I purchased the original galaxy buds from Samsung since I had done all my research and compared them to a few others including Apple AirPods, and Samsung ultimately won for its look and comfort for me and also it stated on the website that they were compatible to iOS came to find out they are not!!! I called Samsung to complain but of course nothing could be done I accepted the fact that I can only use my buds as Bluetooth with my iPhone 11 max pro but was told to periodically check for an app in the App Store since it might become available soon. Today I was told by a colleague that a new version of the galaxy buds was available with the app for iPhones I was excited when I heard the news that I quickly downloaded the app thinking that of course it’s compatible to the original buds how could they not right.... Not reading the fine print “not compatible with SM-R170” VERY DISAPPOINTED! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! Not sure if I will be buying Samsung products anymore since it’s very hard to have them pair or be compatible with other devices. Please make it compatible. It’s ridiculous it’s not!.Version: 1.1.3

Buds pro are not includedPlease add the feature for Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Without the app, the buds pro are not much worthy..Version: 2.1.0

AnnoyedI’m disappointed that the 2019 galaxy buds won’t pair with my iPhone! How can that be when they aren’t even old. Luckily I could pair it through Bluetooth but I lose ALOT of features. An update to the app or even a complete redesign would be better! Come on Samsung. I’ve been routing for you for years. I use my S10 as my daily driver! RE your reply: So you’re telling me to get new Galaxy Buds? 😑 Samsung is getting lazy with its technology recently and it’s really disappointing. I’m sure it’s very much possible to create an app that makes the old R170 buds compatible..Version: 2.1.0

BrokenI'm running iOS 13.5, i.e. the latest version, and it says "not compatible with your device" on startup. [ Galaxy Buds+ and iPad Air ] [ Ed: nothing on the Galaxy Buds+ packaging or even this app's description (let alone the error message) mentions a minimum of iPad Air 3. These must be the only buds in the world that can't run on a device with the latest iOS ].Version: 1.1.4

Needs support for Galaxy Buds ProI should have realized that Apple would nerf this app to inconvenience their users when using Samsung products in roundabout ways, but I never expected them to somehow stop Samsung from developing functionality for their newest Galaxy Buds Pro. As of May 2021, Samsung still hasn’t been able to release a version of this app with support for the special features of the Galaxy Buds Pro – namely the ability to customize what each tap does, audio EQ for the buds, and find-my-device features. Very disappointed that I can’t use the best true wireless stereo headphones on the market with the best phone on the market in the way they should work. Get over it, Apple airpod pushers..Version: 2.1.0

Not a good appI just got some galaxy buds pro (1) and it said that it doesn't support them. I think that if you are going to make an app for ear buds then at least make them compatible.Version: 2.1.1

We have reasons to hate SamsungI bought the Buds+ because it compatible with iPhone and this app. When I checked with the description it say Compatibility Requires IOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. But it doesn’t mention iPhone has to 7 or later. So my 6s plus not work with this. Samsung is really bad and no more Samsung again..Version: 1.1.2.001

Doesn’t work for my new budsJust bought fresh today new Galaxy Buds Pro and tried to connect with the app and it’s doesn’t have a connection option. I’ve tried both options and the have the same result. I have my buds in pairing mode and still can’t find my device. Disappointed in this product and was hoping it would be better than my last but not looking good..Version: 2.1.1

Buds live won’t pair with iPhoneBuds live won’t pair with iPhone.Version: 2.1.1

Not compatible for iPhone 6/6sI was tossing up between AirPod pros and the galaxy buds + because I heard great things about the new galaxy buds + and saw Samsung had released an app to help with connectivity and customisation of the earbuds to keep up with apple’s ecosystem. ONLY REASON I CHOSE THE GALAXY BUDS + WAS BECAUSE OF THE APP INTRODUCED AND I CANT EVEN USE THE APP. If you can connect to the earbuds, you should be able to use the app, plain a simple. Such a huge disappointment. These are just some standard, not unique, earbuds now because I can’t add ambient mode and therefore using these in public is actually very dangerous. And upgrading to a newer phone is way more expensive than just buying the AirPod pros. You need to make this app compatible for at least the iPhone 6/6s..Version: 1.1.3

Will this app get support for the Galaxy Buds Pro?Right now this app doesn’t support the Galaxy Buds Pro at all. it ONLY supports the Buds Live and the Buds+ (at the time of review). The Buds2 and the Buds Pro do not have support even though they are the most recent Galaxy Buds.Version: 2.1.1

:(The app isn’t compatible with my iPhone SE and I wanted to cry cuz I spent $150 but the quality is fine for now I just wanted to see what it was like adjusting it and getting the full experience of the headphones :(.Version: 2.1.0

Scam-job appThis app does nothing. Keeps asking me to update and does not detect my earbuds. Scam-job..Version: 1.1.0.013

No compatibility for old generationIt just doesn’t make sense that these £100 headphones I only bought earlier this year for some reason are not compatible with iOS, Samsung talks a lot about how they are compatible with iOS so surely it would make sense just to create an app so I could actually get my money’s worth. I have an iPhone 11 which runs on iOS 13 - like many other people so surely it wouldn’t be very hard to create the app you made for Galaxy buds onto iOS..Version: 2.1.0

Not compatible with Buds ProI have a Buds Pro. But its seems not to be supported here somehow. Is there a way to mitigate this? Thanks..Version: 2.1.0

Not compatible with iPod Touch!!**Developers, please READ this part of my note**: In the app’s “Compatibility” section, under “INFORMATION”, it specifically states that it is compatible with the iPod Touch. This section needs to be edited, if it’s not true, as it gives false information. I have the latest, generation 7, updated to the latest iOS (13.6.1), and I always get the dreaded “not compatible with this device” message. I have written to customer service several times, with canned responses of instructions to follow. (I know how to do that, as I previously connected the Buds+ to my iPad. I just don’t think it’s feasible to toss my iPad into my back pocket when I want to listen to music while out walking!) Never once did anyone reply that the iPod touch isn’t compatible, as some of the responses from the developer on this site have indicated. I can pair and listen to music with no problems, but I would like to be able to use the features of this app, to monitor the battery levels, to change the equalizer, etc. Why exclude a specific device made for music when developing an app for wireless earbuds??.Version: 2.0.3

App claims compatibility but is wrongClaims to be “compatible with this device” according to this app page, and requires iOS 10 or above. I have 13.5 and it doesn’t work. First Samsung device I’ve bought and it’s failed 100%. TO THE DEVELOPER RESPONSE: this app page says “Compatibility: Works on this iPhone”. Doesn’t matter now anyway because I’ve taken them back for a refund because the connection with my brand new MacBook Pro was terrible too, kept cutting out. Thanks for nothing..Version: 2.1.0

Galaxy Buds ProPlease update the app to support Galaxy Buds Pro asap.Version: 2.1.1

ShamefulI wish Samsung could just allow the first gen earbuds to be supported, already being so expensive I would’ve hoped they would allow connectivity to the app I know their explanation is that the new chip allows better connectivity but it is just the same as other Bluetooth devices which offer the same thing essentially, so it’s so disappointing to be forced to effectively pay £150 for an app.Version: 1.1.3

Does not connectDoesn’t even connect to my galaxy buds first gen..Version: 2.1.1

HelpI have an iPhone 11 and galaxy buds pro but they wont pair what should I do? Are they pairable??.Version: 2.1.0

EarbudsI like the earbuds overall but the developers need to update the system because I’ve had these earbuds for about 1 year now and it’s being perfect but when it needs updating the earbud volume goes very low and it happened before and I updated it and it went perfectly but it’s back now So they need to be a new version for the earbuds a system software update.Version: 2.1.1

Not compatible with Galaxy Buds ProThis app cannot be used with iPhones to use Galaxy Buds Pro. It’s been years but still the app is not updated..Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy buds proNo option for galaxy buds pro..Version: 2.1.1

App doesn’t work with my iPhone 11Really frustrating that I can’t use the Earbuds2 to their full potential, because I can’t pair the earbuds2 with the App! The buds have excellent sound quality & noise cancellation, so why are Samsung alienating a large proportion of the population? So you now tell me earbuds2 aren’t covered by App, so why are the instructions telling me otherwise!? Why release a product that can’t be used, because you’re not ready for it!?.Version: 2.1.1

Can’t use app with iPhone 6sIPhone 7 minimum requirement doesn’t make sense. iPhone 6s has the latest iOS in 2022 and has same hardware as iPhone 7. Can’t even customise or configure the buds I just got. So they’ve been returned. 😒 Edit: iPhone 6s has exact same hardware as iPhone 7. Both will support iOS 15 so still unsure why 6s can’t be supported. Anyway returned the buds live for AirPods. Won’t buy anything Samsung again 👍🤡.Version: 2.1.1

Galaxy buds ProWhen will the galaxy buds pro be on the app..Version: 2.1.0

Update the app alreadyThe galaxy buds pro features don’t work on the iPhone. Samsung update the app already it’s been out for like awhile now. Like what’s taking so long??.Version: 2.1.0

SwitchingI recently switched from samsung to ios and i can’t connect my buds to the app. it pairs with my phone but not the app. they’re the samsung galaxy buds2. Improve your app samsung!!!.Version: 2.1.1

DisappointedI am very disappointed when I put the app on iPhone XS they worked great did update now only one bud live connects to app or to phone I have reset I have uninstalled nothing has worked. I loved them when they worked for the few days but now they are no good and a waste of money..Version: 2.1.1

Doesn’t connect to galaxy buds proI got Samsung galaxy buds pro because I have a Samsung phone and I liked them better than the AirPods by apple. I also wanted to used them on my iPad because I watch Netflix etc. On here and at night I need to be quiet as I live with other people, but on the app they only have galaxy buds and galaxy buds live available to connect to. Why is this? The pro buds have been out for quite some time so why can’t I connect them to the iPad Pro? Quite disappointed ngl. The galaxy wearable (Samsung gear) app works fine on my galaxy s10. Please get back to me on this issue..Version: 2.1.0
