✓ Joystick issuesPlease update movement controls. The joystick is ‘broken’ because of a bug that does not allow the player to hold the joystick and loot button at the same time… Please fix this, it’s super annoying and ruins the movement & looting aspect ! Parts of the crafting menu feel glitchy and touches boxes are not always responsive. Other than that the game is pretty good from what I can tell..RooseydooseyVersion: 1.0.2

✓ So excited to replay this game on iPad, but it’s unplayably buggyI was so excited to see Don’t Starve come to Apple Arcade, I spent hundreds of hours playing it years ago on PlayStation. But it crashes so much I can’t do anything! I’ve started three different games and two of the three can’t get past the loading screen because they crash! When I do get into the game, many actions also make the game crash. I finally made it a day in the game, walked away for a few minutes, and when I came back there was NO SAVE DATA. Oh, and the buttons don’t all fit on the Home Screen. Did you even run it on iOS before shipping? ✓ No instructions on how to playYou download the app, click start game and there’s no instructions besides some guy telling you to collect food before night comes (and then he disappears). You can click on grass, berries and carrots to collect them but no instructions or directions on what to do once you’ve done that. ✓ Still critical bugsMarsh crashes has been fixed and I can seemingly build walls now without crashing. But now when opening a bundling wrap, immediate crash! After just spawning through the wooden thing with 4 bundling wraps of very valuable items, I cannot open them and it’s like I’m starting from scratch. A massive problem. Why would the console version have multiplayer but this version doesnt? ✓ Simple joystick fix will greatly improve experienceI've died twice now by holding a tool, specifically the shovel and willow's lighter, and then having an object underneath the joystick trigger a response from my item so I am unable to move. I've worked around this before by unequipping the item or starting a different interaction so my character moves automatically but I died too quickly both times to realize what was going on. Another example of this is that whatever my joystick is over will be examined because the game registers it as my finger hovering that option on a tree instead of trying to move forward. I hope this makes sense. My death shouldn't have happened and I'm pretty upset I've lost my world because of this oversight..CharlottealexanderVersion: 1.0.8

✓ A Decent Port Not for Current iPads* Runs worse on higher end iPads. * Feels like a PC game. * Small UI: best played with the Pencil. A beautiful, large screen game such as this would seem the perfect companion for a modern iPad Pro and its high speed, 12.9" mini-LED screen. Unfortunately the game has a hard-coded list of known iPads and will run only in a low-grade/low-performance mode on any iPad not in its list, such as the M1 iPads. If it must take the odd approach of a hard-coded list, then it should at least ask for confirmation of low-grade mode. The UI has controls small enough that I suspect it was not play tested on newer, higher resolution displays. That UI, while in the context of an iOS device, begs to be better adapted to the tablet user setting rather than just ported from PC..Y.G.L.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Deletes progression, if not, played for 10 minutesEvery time I play this game I have to redo the same thing 10 times for it to save. I remember before I had quit playing. I had made a top hat back at my base or taking a nap in a sleeping bag, and filled my hunger just to save and quit, and when I came back, I was back in the same spot. No top hat. ✓ Needs An UpdateI've been playing this game for about a month now and absolutely love it, the only problem is that the game isn't optimized for mobile. the screen will lag occasionally and stutter but that's no big deal. the biggest problem is the caves, entering the second level of the caves INSTANTLY crashes your game. when you reload the game you're stuck in the second level crashing every time you open that save file. this basically makes that save file unplayable and it cost me one of my best worlds. reading on the forums it's been happening since 2019, almost 2 years, continuously with no fix. klei does not care about pocket edition, it shows..StfhduudfogogoVersion: 1.0.2

✓ Great Game, buggy as all hell compared to other platformsI’m addicted but, I feel like this port needs to implement support for keyboard and mouse given the iPad can be used as a laptop replacement these days. Using a controller though and you can bypass most of the control issues. On the phone the game is too small to manage, on the iPad though this game comes to life. There are bugs, as others have noted, but a quick refresh can restore some of them. Others are game stoppers: -The bundle wrap doesn’t work. -Ruins crash upon loading. -Swamp will randomly crash the game when tentacle spawn. Worst of all, the game is called “reign of giants” and yet I’ve not encountered a single seasonal giant in the whole pocket edition. Have they even been enabled??? It wouldn’t be an issue if I could do the saving but the game randomly saves. It is very annoying and I am not sure I want to play anymore. ✓ Not Bad ButIt’s great and impressively so but needs work. A lot of it. A lot of features don’t work and or glitch out. Touchscreen play is buggy slow and often cumbersome. That said it’s not bad. Fun and still enjoyably entertaining. It can get frustrating and put off a player when constructing gathering moving etc becomes rather imposible. ✓ It’s a good game but..I personally believe it’s a great game considering its the pocket version of the pc version, but there are some flaws. One of them is there is only a couple of characters unlike the pc version, i hope you can add more characters as since i’ve unlocked them all i don’t know what to do, so please add more characters. The second thing i would like to say about it, is that the game isn’t like the pc version, what i mean by this is that there are some missing mobs, bosses, etc as well as you cannot use mods. Another thing i would like to add is that you cannot play with others which saddens me.
