✓ Cute fun for a 6-year-oldMy kid loves My Little Pony, so automatically loves this game. Don’t expect any educational value, though. It’s just your standard, mindless, merge game in a cute MLP wrapper. It would be nice if there was more voice-over. After the opening video, it’s just written dialog, which is lost on kids who aren’t yet reading. At least the games are simple enough for them to figure out without reading. One note: In the mini-game Pipp’s Dance Party, the notes don’t appear to match the music in any discernible way. My kid does well with other ‘match-notes-to-the-tempo’ type games but just gets frustrated with this one..G the BVersion: 1.0.1

✓ Finish in a few days, no endless play modeI’m tired of all thee half-finished game in Apple Arcade. They need to curate these to make sure they all aren’t crap designed in a day that has zero replay ability. ✓ IAP design without the costThis game consistently misses the mark, but is most of the way to a good game. The merging part of the game is brainless, there’s zero challenge. This is an ok design choice. Sometime thats what you want. But recharging energy requires you to frequently play mini games that break the zen of the challengeless merging. The mini games are easy, but roughly made. There’s a nice spread of options, but each minigame feels half implemented or rushed. There’s also a lot of forced waiting, so you can’t really blitz through them to get back to the merging. The rhythm minigame for example - the music lacks depth, the rhythm patterns seem to have some errors in them, the visual design is gives you no information (quarter notes a barred eighth notes are generated randomly, have no impact on the rhythm, and sometimes overlap each other) and minimal feedback. And there’s only a couple of “tracks” which makes how frequently you have to play the mini games more frustrating. This game was clearly designed with all the dark patterns of a shovelware casino games for kids, it’s just missing the IAP. Which is a shame, cause it could be a much better game for everyone if the devs focused on making a good game rather than something that focused on # of hours played. 2 stars cause if your kid likes MLP, it can be a clutch and effective babysitter. ✓ Good butIn the most recent update, it seems the passive regen rate of energy has been reduced significantly. Listen, the mini games are easy, but boring by the third pass. I had gotten in the habit of using energy up, taking a break and letting it regen so I could skip them. ✓ Surprisingly fun, but between device sync is stuffedVery cute and upbeat. Thoroughly enjoy the distraction while I listen to podcasts and news, but the between device sync is useless. It only syncs once correctly, and then seems unable to update between iPad and iPhone. Update: after a couple of days, the initial fun has worn off. ✓ Fun game… except the magic limit.First of all My real ratings is 3 and a half and Secondly Mane merge is fun game and a great way to make time fly, but the reason I did not give this game 5 Stars is because it’s kinda repetitive and more importantly HOW QUICKLY YOUR MAGIC RUNS OUT! It’s so annoying! ( I know a lot of people are talking about this But it really is so so so annoying!) there’s two ways to fix this, make the magic limit like 800 or 1000 or something or raise the the amount of points we get for making stuff by merging. ✓ Pretty graphics, horrid kindergarten brain level gameplay.Theres no “exploring” maretime bay as descriped, you can pan the camera around abit but youre just getting points from merging stuff to remove vines on every level. and thats the whole game. you get stickers which you cant do anything with from doing allot of merging or playing the minigames allot to get more items to merge, and the minigames are even worse than the merging. franchise is just going downhill, they go and make something beautiful with the ponies and making their designs more diverse and creative, but throw out all that opportunity so they can just make barbie horse toys and surface level short cartoons and terrible kindergarten games again like they did before gen 4 i dont even like what the fanbase became with adult men pining for little horse characters and the toys and everything, but i am a woman who just likes horses, has horses and also loves art and animation, maybe theyre trying to chase off that horribly repulsive side of the fanbase but ill never forget being thirteen and having my jaw drop because the ponies came back with fully written and well animated stories and adventures to help me through years of hospitalization and friendlessness.Weary Small TravellerVersion: 1.0.1

✓ Make playable with mouse control!I am loving this game and the graphics and gameplay are great, but as soon as the game starts the mouse stops working. As a person with a disability using the mouse with my iPad helps me a lot. All the other apps that I’ve downloaded so far work with the mouse except for this game. ✓ Too much recharging, not enough playingI love the game as a concept but the fundamental mechanics are unbalanced and frustrating. Far and away the biggest problem is that the magic meter has a maximum capacity of 200 and it can’t be increased. As a result you can only merge for maybe 1-2 minutes at most before you have to go play mini games for 3-5 minutes to “recharge.” This is so so annoying and really disrupts the flow of the game. I am hoping that since this is a relatively new game, the developers will be receptive to feedback and fix this issue..TaterinvaderVersion: 1.2.0

✓ Unfinished?The game seemed great when I started. My main complaint was that the Brighthouse only stores 200 units of energy…which gets used pretty quickly. I figured that as I leveled up, I would be able to store more energy, but no. Then I saw the quest to free the Brighthouse and thought, “aha”, but not only was I wrong about increasing the energy capacity, that’s where the game ended! I wouldn’t be too upset except there is no “end game”. You’re completely locked out of the merge aspect of the game (you know, the main selling point.) I find the the Brighthouse side games tedious and only do them because I have to in order to fill my energy. I understand that the game is designed for children, so a bit of repetitiveness and a simple story line doesn’t bother me. But it should still have a sense of progression and accomplishment that a lame virtual sticker book just doesn’t offer.._Purple-Pants_Version: 1.0.1

✓ RepetitiveThis is my first merge style game so I don’t have much to compare to. It’s pretty mindless and good for playing when you have the flu like I do. My 8 yr old is into My Little Pony and merge games so she’s been playing this a lot too. I will agree with other reviews that the frame rate often dips very low and makes a few of the mini games hard to play, like the rabbit feeding game. ✓ Baby gameThe gameplay requires no strategy…it is just combining items together on a board. And the mini games are dumbed down to a ridiculous degree. You would have to be 3 years old to enjoy this. ✓ Waiting for an updateI have already hit the top level and now it says new adventures coming soon for everything. I can still play the mini games but what’s the point. ✓ Good game but energy mechanism is flawedI waited a while for an update to unlock new chapters. it turns out this new update also changed the way energy is saved. the cap used to be 200 no matter what, now it is 100 for passive regen plus whatever you might get in the mini games. you don’t get upgrades and higher level items adjusted to match, so it takes several rounds of games to get enough to reach the highest levels of a single item which inevitably make up all of the quests. it’s very hard to play this now..JaneypantsVersion: 1.1.0
