✓ Enjoyable but disrespects your effortsI like playing this game and going through it as you level up the animal housing for each stage is fun and you do have to put effort into it. However when you max the animal housing Gems become worthless and therefore when you spend your hard earned red coins for wheel spins, complete quests, or get gem rewards for the end stage follow along you are basically rewarded with useless trash items. This can be easily fixed by just adding an exchange in the shop. Even just the inverse of the red coins for gems exchange. Problem solved..RigormorpheusVersion: 2.0.0

✓ Summary of issues.Poor gameplay with poor controls and hard to recognize obstacles (Example) Sliding under raised totems is hard to know since they look just like wall totems Characters are really useless and is just a copy and paste with less or more limits to upgrades. Upgrading starts off easy and then immediately becomes painful. Builder is useless since the characters they unlock aren’t really that good since they do nothing to change any gameplay except for having a multiplier. Red Rings heavily rely on RNG and is rare. More than just 2 goals should be unlocked after 1 hour of waiting. Diamonds are unlocked by doing stunts, or doing goals… it’s a shame you only get 2 goals every hour and sometimes the rewards are terribly low. You can save up on Red Rings to buy characters that are immediately better than the ones you can unlock through Building. Difficulty immediately becomes ridiculous after the 5th spring. Sliding causes Camera to no longer be useful and instead become it’s own obstacle. The devs really love putting anything that requires you to jump next to sliding sections. Really wish I could see. A ring trail once led me into a Spike, Spike Trap, and a wall….Exotic WeirdoVersion: 1.0.4

I enjoyed it even though I had maxed out a lot of things because I enjoyed the challenge. But I’m not about to grind for resources just to open the game. What a joke. This game is a lot of fun, but once you build all the animal places there’s really no point. There are no new levels and you play the same two bosses the entire game(which I avoid because it’s boring and a waste of time.). This is essentially a grinding game to get character tokens and coins to level them up, but the problem is you keep getting tokens for characters you’ve maxed out and jewels I no longer need because there’s nothing left to build. The game is fun at first but there’s not a point to keep playing for the new characters. It’s too hard to get the new characters (it take’s absolutely forever) because I keep getting tokens for characters that are already maxed out. ✓ Broken game, don’t downloadI played for over an out yesterday, when I closed the game, it wouldn’t open again. Today, they said they fixed the bug but the game still wouldn’t open so I redownloaded. It finally opened, but I lost all my progress. I played for about half an hour, and the dash button disappeared. I decided to reopen the game to see if the problem would be fixed, and it wouldn’t open again. I don’t know why I believed that the bug was actually fixed, after all, this game was released with a bug that makes it unplayable. ✓ UnplayableI was able to play at first but after I closed the game for the first time, I was never able to play again. This as nothing to do with cellular network or wifi as it happen on my iphone XR, my ipad mini and on my wife ipad. Tried airplane mode and it changed nothing. ✓ Not the best infinite runnerThere’s been many infinite runners and Sonic Dash just feels pretty mediocre. Sure there’s unlockables and levels, but it all feels like it was in service of loot box mechanics instead of just fun mobile gaming, with leader board prizes that reek of its pay to play past. Spend money to win except there is no buying your way to the top (thankfully) to get loot. Then there’s the actual game, which while decent, feels cheap as it feels next to impossible to see what’s ahead generally by the forth level as obstacles pile into absurdity. In the end, it’s fun for a few hours but characters are more or less skins as are the levels. Everything this game has to offer can be done in the first few hours. ✓ So much for being the ultimate versionThe game plays just like the regular version except certain changes were made because of the no IAP model. While some of these changes are good like the regular leaderboards with prizes, a daily login bonus, permanent upgrade that cost Red Rings instead of real money, and the ability to get construction Gems and character tokens (including non current event characters) from the bonus sections between Zones. Bad changes include every token unlock character requires 500 tokens instead of 250 tokens and every character needs an additional 175 tokens to fully upgrade. While this is no problem for Blaze, Silver, and Cream every other character requires a specific lucky roll of the between Zone bonus 18 times in order to be fully upgraded. As for character unlocks Tangle and Whisper still haven’t gotten any events (at least since someone asked about them in May 2022) so they have the 50 lucky rolls path to unlocking. Also is Baby Sonic in the game? I know that the other Movie characters that have been in the regular version are here..Qwertybub3Version: 2.1.0

✓ Improving slowly with each releaseClearly there were a lot of initial bugs and issues when first released. Now after 3 or so updates, Sonic Dash+ is getting more like what you would expect from an Apple Arcade title. With that said, there are still a number of issues: upgrading characters requires a lot of tokens that are slow to get unless there is an event. Worse: when you do complete a character you can still win the tokens… but they are useless. It should be that once completed that character is removed from the prize pool, and you should be able to convert the tokens to rings or red star coins. Boss fights will sometimes for no reason have incredibly fast cursors that are impossible to hit. I don’t know if this is intentional but it makes it impossible to beat the bosses. Additionally I would like to see more variation, instead of just avoiding obstacle’s, maybe have rail grinding and switching to then target points on them? Or charge up on rings to deliver an attack? Some more variation in level features / hazards would be good. It does get very repetitive and you see the same obstacles just reskinned. For example on green hill there could be alternative routes accessed by spinning, and mushroom zone could have vine traps. Similarly would be nice to see more variety in the enemies. I think there’s a lot more scope to use the many elements of the Sonic games to spice this up more..Somnambulist7Version: 1.0.4

✓ Game need to be revampedSonic Dash is a fun way to spend some time and relax. The only problem is that it get repetitive after a few runs. There’s nothing new in terms of gameplay. No new animations, same level designs for all worlds and lack of swag. The characters just run until they die. That’s it. Sonic doesn’t do any stunts while running, doesn’t say anything either. There’s nothing unique about any of the characters movements and style. All the characters look dead to me. I believe that by adding new and smoothing the current animations sonic would be the best “runner” game out there. ✓ Some SuggestionsThe game sound is too loud, and there’s no option to lower it without turning it off. It makes putting your volume on one sound like you have it on 5, and having it on 0 prevents any sound whatsoever. You should add a setting to customize SFX and music. Also, the graphics are kind of bad, and it gets more and more noticeable that the rings aren’t 3D and are just 2D images. and there should be an option to increase them, as most modern devices can handle better graphics nowadays. The boss battles are extremely underwhelming, but just running through regular zones is pretty fun. Swapping Sonic between the lanes doesn’t feel intuitive, and constantly having to swipe isn’t a reliable method of control when the game picks up speed (probably intentional for when the game was F2P and it incentivized spending real money to survive the later sections of the level). All of the characters are functionally identical, so there’s no point to swap between them. The “building” progression system feels like something from a bygone era of mobile gaming. There’s no point for its existence beyond artificially extending goal posts to get certain characters. It should have been removed entirely from the Apple Arcade version. Four different “currencies” that bottleneck you from progressing. Some of them can only be earned through random drops, so upgrading characters takes ages. Boss battles are a joke. A simple pattern recognition mini-game that gets old very quickly. Maybe people who have nostalgia for the game will find some enjoyment here, but nothing about this game is designed to be fun—it was designed to annoy and frustrate you until you’re tempted to spend money to remove its many roadblocks..L8rG8r400Version: 1.0.3

It seems it is another case of developers not accounting for the fact that we are not paying for micro transactions, and there is no need for timers and multiple currencies to be obtained. Most games then would become a shell of corporate greed and exploitation, but this one is actually fun for what it is (it’s like they designed the game to be fun and not just to make money or something….). Progression slows to a crawl when you get to green hill (imo), and it just not as fun to keep grinding like that (it would take so long to get shadow, and you know I have to live my life), that’s not really what I expected of these games in Apple Arcade.
