✓ Great but a little glitchyOne thing is sometimes when I load back into the game, the hammer will be stuck inside of something and I can’t get it out. Another is some issues with the sensitivity and control. No matter what I do, the hammer will move ridiculously fast and hit way too hard. It only goes slow when I free fall. Or if I let go and move less than an inch or so, it’ll immediately move and push me off of stuff. Really frustrating. Besides that the game is great and I really enjoy it..Version: 1.93
✓ The perfect game to relaxAfter a stressful day at school, I saw this game on Apple Arcade and was astonished. Playing it is nothing but pure joy. The voice over is at the perfect moments and the music is the best thing I’ve heard since Minecraft’s Alpha and Beta songs. ✓ The greatest iPhone game of all time?This game could quite possibly be the best way to spend your time… especially if your goal is to wear off the fingerprint from your thumb. It’s been a few days since downloading and I now have calluses that my father would be proud of. It was the trailer narration of the creator that initially attracted me to the game, his brutal honesty, his nonchalant demeanor, his calming way of speaking. He sold me on the challenge and I’m pleased to say that he continues speak with you during your climb, he’s with you, he’s with us, he’s with me. He adds calming music, words of encouragement and quotes from historic figures at times when you feel like you might not be able to go on. Sometimes the music feels not so calming, almost like a taunt for your silly mistake which propelled you back to the very start, but this is all part of the journey up the impossible mountain. I can honestly say that unlike other games that are created to be hard, Getting Over It isn’t frustrating, it feels like it’s worth my time. I come away from playing with a feeling of accomplishment and on the many occasions when my accomplishments are thwarted by my own foolish mistakes and I end a session further down the mountain than I started, I still feel my mind being clearer and more ready for the IRL challenges of the day. The only frustration I’ve run into so far is due to my own shortcomings of not being ambidextrous, as I’ve had to take a break from playing due to the lack of skin on my thumb. This game is worthy of 5 stars..Version: 1.93

✓ One ProblemSo far I love this game, always wanted to try it and once I saw it was on Apple Arcade I got it right away. Super challenging and really engaging, and the physics-based controls that don’t really obey the laws of physics just add to it lol. I was about halfway through the game (on the sunset section with a tunnel of furniture) when I exited the game to keep my last shreds of sanity. When I returned to pick up where I left off, the only thing that would show up was a black screen and the sound of a stream. Now I can’t get back into the game because that’s all it shows. The only way to play again was to delete the game and reinstall, but I lost all my progress. It’s a classic mobile game bug but I figured Arcade games were held to a higher standard. It’s not a huge deal though, just hope it gets fixed soon. Still love the game..Version: 1.93

✓ Fun albeit irritatingI haven’t gotten far but I have fallen far, sometimes not even by my own fault (only sometimes). I understand that the game is supposed to be frustrating but the input sensitivity is too high. I noticed several others having this problem. I have tried raising the sensitivity to max but it doesn’t seem to change. I hope this is a bug and if so it needs to be patched soon..Version: 1.14
✓ My Review (fun game btw)This game is really fun, but it’s a challenge: I love this game but there’s something’s that could be changed, like it starts how way to hard. I have barely even played for two days and I can’t even get passed the third part (where you climb up the pipe and the rocks) it’s an overall enjoyable game but i do have couple more thing that you can change, maybe have online modes where you can race people online, and also maybe, change the style of music bc k don’t really like the style of music that is in the game, my style of music vary’s from LANY (myFavorite I would totally encourage yall to listen to them) to Def leopard, to the 1975, to Lauv and Novo Amor and Goth Babe, etc. but anyways I would totally recommend playing this but it’s starts out hard which isn’t bad it just makes me want to throw my phone. ✓ I love it…but there is issuesI love this game and it is super fun. It’s challenging and it gets you angry and angrier every time you fall, which motivates you to get back up. I definitely recommend it. But shoutout to the ✨ D E V E L O P E R S ✨ because I need them to read this. I play the game, I get really far in and accomplished, and I have to go to get food or something like that. So I find a good spot and I leave the game. When I come back, (sorry if this is detailed but I am a detailed person :) I press on the game, the Arcade logo does it’s intro thing, I see the loading screen with the guy in the pot with the hammer, and then all I see is a black screen. It doesn’t load in, and for some reason I can press the pause button. But that’s all I can do now. I can’t play the game anymore without deleting it and restarting all my progress. However there’s this lovely bug where you’ll load in and find only a black screen, the only thing working being the pause menu in which your only option to fix it is to start a new game or reinstall the game all together. ✓ Touch screen issue?I played the game on PC before and i _think_ there might be a bug with the ios controls. The circle seems to drift a lot and seems to randomly to jut in the wrong direction. I really like the idea of playing it again on my phone, but the controls seems broken… or atleast my brain can not understand how the touch controls work compared to mouse or trackpad… Update: the patch that “fixed major control issues” seems to have fixed my major control issues, good luck everyone..Version: 1.93
✓ Great game, one bugAs coming from a person who has beaten the game i would say that it is one of the best games on mobile i have ever played, It can get frustrating at times but i feel like thats the point of the game and if you can get over the fact that hitting a bucket at the wrong angle could put you back at the beginning then you probably will have a much more enjoyable time than most. Even with things like that this game is still amazing and i feel like the voice acting in it makes it even better, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone. When you fall and have to do the same thing over and over again, you get better at the game, your skill improves, and you learn new climbing techniques. As you fall more and more you might be tempted to quit, but if you consider falling as an opportunity to improve rather than as an infuriating loss of progress, you will truly be able to see the beauty of this game. If you don’t understand what the game is about, you will rage all the time and won’t enjoy it at all. If you do understand, falling down won’t frustrate you as much, and you will enjoy the game. This game is not about falling down, it’s about getting back up. P.S. At the end of the game right after the ice cliff there seems to be a missing texture meant to be under the signal tower. As long as you change your settings a bit I have experienced that the controls are fine and if you turn the graphics up the game is beautiful. If you are someone who becomes easily frustrated or raged, the game is not for you. However it’s an amazing game and symbolic of life. Restarting is harder then doing something the first time. ✓ Great but there is a major bugI love this game. And I love the concept behind it. And what’s even better is that I beat it… but there is one problem. The devs didn’t think anyone would actually be able to beat the game on mobile so they didnt program the “new game” button or the “gift shop” button. So when you press new game your screen goes to black no matter what you do. And nothing happens when you press gift shop. I was really looking forward to get the golden pot, and finding out that I couldn’t do anything made me sad 😔. Other than those bugs I love the game and would give it a 4.5 star!.Version: 1.93
