✓ Perfectly imperfectThis game currently is stand-alone my favorite mobile game but it feels very very imbalanced. Characters like Luna are insanely op with no downsides while characters like Lilith are very fun and chaotic while paling in comparison to such an op character as Luna. Apart from the characters the guns just feel very imbalanced with every gun looking like a peashooter in comparison to the grenade launcher because (despite the bio of the gun) it does no damage to you. It is pretty much just the revolver but with explosion damage and no damage to you, no downside. Apart from all of that I am very excited to see where this game goes in the future.Version: 2.2.406

✓ Fun game but annoying bugAwesome game but I got to 50 seconds left, died and decided to watch an ad to rebirth because I was so close. When the ad ended it kept sending me to the App Store to view the advertised game. Even if I closed the App Store and went back into the game it would instantly send me back to the App Store again even if I managed to press the x on ad quick enough it wouldn’t do anything. ✓ One of the worth while games on mobileYou know for a game that says it’s “inspired on vampire survivors” it does it better than most I’ve seen. It’s one of the few games that you can see what the devs were aiming for while also hitting it on the bullseye, with timed rounds for time limited schedule, while making gameplay simple yet keeping it fresh by rewarding the player with tokens even if you don’t defeat the level to improve the players arsenal. For anyone worrying about ads they are only the ones that you choose to have, like free revive, a starting item, and in-game currency. All in all I’m glad I found this game.Version: 2.1.340

✓ Great game, needs some tweakingThis game is one of the best in its special niche genre because it offers great perks that have cool synergies, and it offers short enough game times for a bus ride or something like that. Also, any ads it shows are ones the player chooses to watch instead of random ads, so that’s quite nice. However, a couple of things bring down the experience slightly: The second boss is obnoxious, and its design completely clashes with how you’re supposed to play the game. The boss arena corrals you into one small area that quickly fills up with enemies, making it impossible to dodge, meaning you are forced to take damage and leave this arena, or else die. Also, this boss has a charge attack, where he runs towards you at high speeds. Since shooting your gun slows you down, if you are shooting at the wrong time, he will inevitably hit you since his hitbox is enormous and he charges such a distance. He should either be tweaked to be less powerful or removed entirely in my opinion. Secondly, I feel like the inclusion of unlimited respawns has removed a lot of the feeling of accomplishment that used to be in the game, since there are literally no penalties for dying anymore. I understand that the devs implemented this to make more money, but it hinders the satisfaction of beating a level..Version: 2.5.507

The only thing that is pay to win is buying coin, but you get them so easily that there is no point in buying any, there is also a version for Mac and windows, but I would say that the mobile version is just as good if not better than the pc version. The only thing I don’t care for is the grind of the game. You have to constantly die until you can upgrade your characters and/or runes to be able to progress to get to the different levels. Why not be able to find health in the game??? Make the trees burnable and they produce hearts?! Also don’t stay in the boss border, it makes no difference from what I can tell..Version: 2.2.406

This one dropped ads so you have to get gud now since you can’t watch ads to revive, etc. Not sure why, but this version also runs smoother and the phone never gets hot no matter how wild the screen gets. ✓ Amazing mobile roguelikeThis game is crazy fun. The pacing of the upgrades is nice and ensures you don’t burnout by unlocking stuff too quickly. Haven’t unlocked any of the other stages but the base one is pretty cool by itself. The characters all seem to offer something different as far as run opportunities, like most roguelikes. I usually could care less about leaving a review on a mobile game, but this one honestly deserves it. Super amazing game. ✓ Slow burn, give it some time thoughThis is a great game, I thoroughly enjoy it. Definitely gives me nostalgia. As you progress through the 20 minutes of survival, you can stack some of your upgrades and create certain “builds.” *SPOILER ALERT* One of the upgrades you can acquire is a dragon egg, it takes 3 mins to hatch, but you can stack it’s abilities while it’s in the egg. It’s great, super fun. I love the “Lovecraftion” creatures that you have to eliminate, they are quite a few characters to chose to pick from, each with their own individual special abilities. There’s cosmetics as well, some are locked behind cash walls but are only .99¢, others are available to unlock by watching a lot of ads, but I believe it’s worth it. ✓ NOTE FOR THE DEVELOPER:This game is already one of my favorites, and I’m pretty selective. I won’t say anything about the shortage of power-ups since others have already done so. Now, I think some cool changes to the game would be to add a $1.99 price tag on the mobile app store, remove the in-game microtransactions, BUT leave the cosmetics in for purchase with the currency you get for playing the game. Additionally, add said cosmetics to the pc version. I speak for all modern “gamers” when I say we need more games that you only have to pay for once, and you get rewarded for playing by having unlockable cosmetics — no battle pass, no microtransactions, nothing. ✓ One of the best mobile games I’ve ever played and probably the only game I’ll ever leave a reviewThe effort put in to this game is obvious, and even though it looks amazing and runs amazing it doesnt drain my charge nearly as much as other mobile games, so its surprisingly low capacity. I keep finding new features and new ways to scale my abilities every time I play, abilities that are unique to the game and each have their own gimick that allows for different play styles. I adore the way the game lets you create your own build in a backwards way, where some characters and weapons are clearly designed to go hand in hand, and you can even change your build to work best with the abilities in game. The strat I used to beat my first game was using Diamond and a crossbow, hoping to scale my holy arts since the crossbow needs to reload after only one bullet. Its this sort of thing that I love, because even though the crossbow isn’t amazing on it’s own it scales amazing with certain abilities. Diamonds high initial HP also booster the holy arts after a couple of upgrades. I also have to say the game is incredibly rewarding without becoming easy for any length of time. After scaling an ability that you’ve been working on all game you immediately become powerful and dominate everything, you gain an ubandance of EXP and it just feels amazing. All of a sudden thr next wave comes around and you need to work your way up again, its some incredible design. Can’t think of a single critiscism, even if it’s constructive, there’s always new modes to make the game harder and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored..Version: 3.1.663

The characters are fun and unique and the guns are all good in their own way. Now here’s my complaint: I just wish there was more ways to heal, it’s super difficult to maintain health and the enemies are super overwhelming depending on what skills you pick. The health up buff is nice however adding an health-point, however I wished there was a little more than killing 500 enemies or surviving 90 seconds. Probably a multi channel output issue. So I just play with the music only. For the most part it's pretty easy to see yourself apart from the enemies and their bullets. I like the color differential for you sad the enemies. Helps a lot. But Sanger thing that in confused about is the rebirts. I guess I have an infinite amount of continues? ✓ One tiny issueThe game is five stars all the way. It’s so fun running around blasting enemies and upgrading your weapons and evolving your play style along the way. But the tiny little issue I have is with the character Hina. Nothing to do with gameplay, I just found the font in her description is pretty small and almost impossible to read. ✓ I’ll be buying the premium appThe characters have diverse abilities which play off different power-ups in unique ways. The weapons are varied all feel different to each other. The music and SFX match the design and encourage intensity Controller support is in the initial menu and in the actual survival modes. It doesn’t work on character select and some other menus. I tested with an Xbox controller. The ads (and frequent deaths) can turn a 20 minute session into 40. I was didn’t find a “remove ads” in app purchase and was about to furiously uninstall. ✓ It’s a blast 🤘🏽😜♥️Fun graphics, love the simple palate and the selection of accent colors, fun power ups, a variety of weapons and characters to try, it scratches your “top down shooter” itch. Yes there are ads, but they’re placed in tasteful spots not hindering gameplay, if you’re good you won’t really need to watch an ad. I would love to have this on my Nintendo Switch. The increase in difficulty with heavier hordes is fun, replay ability feels pretty high. Even after finding a hero that feels a little over powered, it’s still pretty fun and wouldn’t mind playing through with the other characters and weapons combos. The dragon egg and dragon are a tad big and can be mistaken as an enemy 😆 but that’s a tad bit of trade off for its assistance I guess..Version: 2.1.340

✓ Fun and ChallengingI play a lot of rouge like survival games and was intrigued by the graphics of this game. With the pixelated art style set in a a lovecraftian type setting I got hooked really quick and stayed because of the game play. I will say the amount of times you can die and have to watch ads to continue can really upset the flow once you get into a rhythm however the amount of unique upgrades does helps keep you engaged as you eventually get so leveled up that it does become even more fun to experiment with the upgrades they give you. Originally I would say it’s hard to see things but contour was added making everything visible it is a dark pixel style which is a breath of fresh air when all mobile games are bright and cartoony nowadays. The game runs well and the upgrades are good. There’s even synergies if you want to get more into it. The characters and guns are all free and don’t take too long to unlock. The game can be hard but that’s not a bad thing. And let me say the music SLAPSS, the sound effects and everything create such an enjoyable atmosphere I rarely even get annoyed by dying just can’t wait to play again. It can be frustrating though when the game will lose your progress if you leave the game for more then a few minutes but it’s a small offline game so I’m not going to let that bug me. ✓ Fun but needs some improvementThe game itself is really solid. Level up mechanics are great and leads to a different experience each time you play the game. Every character is fun, and I got every achievement in the free version before I decided to buy the full version. But, the most fun character is the first one you get. This is solely due to the triple level up effect buff that she gets. It gives the player the most choice and allows for some crazy stuff fun shenanigans that you can experiment with in each new run. It alone accounts for the most replay ability value. This is why this buff should be available for every character in some way. Make it a random drop that, or add a new mini boss that could drop it for any character. Add a new difficulty that makes the addition balanced. The triple, or even just a double, effect makes each game far more chaotic (in a good way), and this would make an endless mode (which should be added irrespective of this review) even more fun. Also wish there was a level 20 darkness. since the game itself is called 20 minutes till dawn it’s kinda weird the hardest difficulty is 15 and not 20. Despite my gripes, the game already has hours upon hours of fun content to get lost in. Appreciated the Christmas monster costumes too, love Easter eggs like that.
