Good app for beginnersI hadn't really done yoga before and found this a great way to start, especially as I work long hours and struggled to get to a class. The workouts are good and cover a rang of movements, the explanations of poses are clear and are backed up by demonstrations. It has a calming background soundtrack of waves crashing which I really like and colour bars to indicate how far you have got in the workout. There are 3 options of workout length, 20, 40 and 60 minutes, so easy to find a length to fit into your day. Highly recommended..Version: 3.26

Very Do-able.I thought the free version was that good I brought the full version. I love the fact that you can create your own session, although it would be good if you could save each one. If you like simple effective, you will like thisI don't use a lot of yoga apps and I don't do a lot of yoga. So for me this really works like a yoga teacher, taking it nice and easy to follow. The UI is not great, in fact a bit crappy. But there are no adverts, simple play and start and 2 levels to upgrade yourself to when you know the basics. Good thing is there is a real person doing it and no animation or picture presentation which for me has worked great. Oh and I like the soft sound of sea waves in the background. Perfect for Home and TravelI've been using the app on and off for a few months. When I was home I would do the 20M video (free) and would feel totally relaxed after doing it. Plus I weighed around 200+ lbs - on my 5'4" frame that's a lot of weight. It has a 'Calories Burned' function that syncs to my Apple Health App. This was great for keep track of my workouts, while being able to do something time-efficient and gentle. That being said, I took some yoga classes in previous years to get a sense of what good posture should be like, so I would recommend that you supplement this app with at least a couple classes under some guidance for your safety. Anyway, now I'm traveling abroad and doing the 40m videos (free). It makes a great workout because I'm sweating a lot and feel so good afterwards. The videos are helpful and the instructions are clear. I would recommend that you watch the video once before doing a new video and to keep in mind some poses you are confused about during your practice. Then I would recommend watching the poses for reference - i.e.: do I turn my head up for this pose, how far apart should my legs be, is my back straight when I do this pose... So yes, it's a great free app if: 1/ you have some reference for good postures, 2/ refer back to the videos every now and again to compare your posture, and 3/ can be realistic about how many times a week you will do this and which video you should be working on. I would recommend daily practice of course, even if it's the 20m free video. That was a great start for me and I would do it 3- then 4- times a week. This is not necessarily a 'work out' as it is something to practice and use for relaxation and improving your concentration. That being said, I now weigh around 185-190lbs, supplementing this app with regular walks everyday and a healthier diet. The interface is straightforward and easy to use. So basic. The cool thing about the app is that it keeps a log about when you do the workouts! You can look back at those days and say you did them! Suggestions for the app developer: - Include a 5 min video just going over what to keep in mind for better posture - I find there is very little time to return to staff pose then go into another pose (especially for Sage Twist) in the free 40m segment - I purchased the full version and I would DEFINITELY pay more to have a modified version to help beginners.Version: 4.61

Just bought the full version.Great app for yoga. Don't really like how they write their own review for you to submit. I do however think the app is great for a beginner who wants to do in privacy. I am working in a remote location in a desert with little access to exercise equipment. This is a great tool for daily yoga for a newbie like me. I recommend the 60 minute workout I the full version. I do it each morning at 4:30am before work. I am starting to see results after only a week. Great app! Update: I have had this app for over 18 months now and I still love it. Poses great; production quality not greatI do Level 2 for 40mins per day. I love the poses and find this a great alternative when I can't get to class. One thing: the sound cuts out during one of the sun salutations! It's distracting and probably easily fixed! Otherwise, great work..Version: 4.20

Also the different time options, though the big difference seemed to be the number of Sun Salutations! As a beginner I found the pace a bit fast. Please add drag and dropBeen using this app for years as it is great to have the videos stored on your phone and not be at the mercy of a wi-fi or data connection. It does however sorely need to be easier to create your own routines. Being able to re-order sequences without having to delete and re-enter everything after the change would be a very welcome. Right now you need to plan carefully before making a routine, writing out your sequence first, because there is little room for errors. Please add drag and drop to re-order routines..Version: 6.22

Just YogaStarting up a bit confusioning but when figured out is ok. Have only done stage 1, 20 minutes and 40 minutes. The stretches are getting easier as going along. In 40 minutes rather too many SUN SALUTATIONS. But otherwise finding it a good way to clear the mind before going to bed. Worth persisting with to get the strength and stretch going. Dont think will ever balance on one leg but trying. Altogether a good app. Trainer good with calming voice and I like the sea sounds..Version: 4.70

Great for beginnersThis is a great straight forward app for beginners. Instruction and video is clear and concise. Pause, fast forward and rewind tabs you can watch each pose before you do them or skip the ones you can't quite do. Options for different duration workout or can make up your own from the list of moves. Also levels 1-2 to make the poses harder or easy. Nice!I love the full video walk through. The ocean waves are great as well. To be perfect one or two more custom yoga workouts would be great as would a few more set workouts. On the custom build page the photos are too small to see accurately what the posies for the beginner. The menu page could use some optical work. Its a bit dark and could be brighter and more cheerful. And I prefer sofen not sofTen in the corpse pose. The T is so hard. Thanks for the updates the calorie counter is cool. An excellent, versatile yoga appThis app has really helped me get into yoga. I started as a beginner, using the free version of the app to do the 20 minute sessions. I found the variety of poses and times really good and loved the varying degrees of difficulty. My confidence in the poses grew and I soon found myself paying for the full version, which is something I very rarely do, however, I haven't regretted it. I've used the app continually for 18 months and it has served my varying needs. Longer times, the ability to create my own sessions with my preferred poses. Plus, when I travelled, I could design a session focused on standing poses as I didn't have my yoga mat with me. I recommend this app to anyone who is interested in starting yoga. Good but needs work.It's VERY basic. Does exactly what it's meant to and that's it. I personally think a beginner would have a lot of trouble using this safely and easily simply because it moves way to fast through the poses. Also, I hate that there is no way to see your current amount of calories burned. It shows you right after a work out and then that's it. There's no way to view it on it's own after unless you finish another routine..Version: 4.20

YogaThe explanations for the correct posture are easy to follow. The breathing directions also help. The quiet finnish allows for a little meditation afterwards. I feel taller, more relaxed and energised at the same time afterwards. I can see the moves on my ipad without my eyeglasses on, that works well for me..Version: 4.20

UsefulI'm using this app while travelling without access to classes. I tried it a few times and liked it, so upgraded to get more routines. I really like being able to try before you buy. I'm out of condition so being able to choose length of routine is good. The upgrade allows you to make a custom routine which is helpful too..Version: 4.20

Update is disappointingI’ve been using this app for more than 5 years and this “update” is disappointing. I gave the previous version 5 stars but feel like this new version is only worth 3 stars. I have used a custom set of poses that added up to a 18 minute routine before the recent update. Now the same routine is less than 13 minutes. All the poses have been sped up. The instructors voice is also not as soothing as the previous voice. I’m feeling pressured to move through the poses quicker, not very serene. I could live with the “update” if I had the option to slow it down a bit..Version: 6.21

Great guide to daily yogaThis is the only app that makes me do yoga at home. Two sets of basic asanas - an easier and slightly advanced but still totally suitable for everybody. Full guidance through each level with explanation of asanas - how to do and what they are for. Rest poses and sun salutation repeat through each level. The longer sessions are not just the same as the 20 min session but with longer held poses - they are DIFFERENT sessions with different poses!!! Flexible options while on the goI travel 2-3 weeks out of a month. Plenty of hotels have fitness centers which are great, but sometime unpredictable and often crowded when I have time to go. With this app, I can choose duration, select certain poses, set ocean waves as my background, choose my level depending on what I need. Sometimes 60 or 90 minutes for a work out, 20 minutes to relax before bed or help relieve a long workout outside of yoga. A travel mat and my iPad and I am ready to go..Version: 4.76

Fabulous update, Wonderful videoI have been using this app for several years and I liked it’s convenience and ability to customize workouts. I also attend yoga classes. My go to appI’ve used this app for a number of years. I really love it and have recommended it to friends. I like the updated version and the new poses. My only complaint is that there’s not enough of a pause for some poses. For example, child pose. It talks you through getting into the correct position and then, “Enjoy this relaxing pose.” Well, there’s no relaxing as it goes very quickly into the next pose. I have had to pause the app in order to get that relaxation, but then the audio also pauses and I don’t get the waves. More time per pose is always better than not enough time. I might also request a better way to set the order of the dyi practices. Once you have them set, it’s difficult to change the order without redoing it from scratch...unless I’m missing something. Otherwise, keep up the great work!.Version: 6.22
