✓ Pay to playReally enjoy this game but basically the only way to play is to keep purchasing diamonds with real money. - All special buildings cost diamonds, I could live with this. - Land expansions get progressively more expensive with Diamonds as well as cash. For example I am up to 20 diamonds to expand. To earn this many diamonds in game I would need to watch 200 adds! Also the land expansion is so small I would only get a maximum of 2 or so large buildings. - My next idea was to delete all I’ve built so I could keep completing quests which would hopefully lead to finding some that rewards diamonds and one day build it all back when I have more land unlocked. However to delete one building is 4 diamonds or 40 adds to watch. - The only other way to get diamonds is to spin a wheel after watching another add and hope you land on the 1 of about 10 options which rewards 5 diamonds approx. In summary fun game but unless you are prepared to pump hundreds of real world money in you will have nothing to do in a matter of hours..Version: 1.21.101
✓ Very fun, but crashes oftenI played this game from 2012 to 2013 and stopped cuz it eventually kept crashing at startup. I rediscovered it here at the end of 2021 and it continues to crash on/off, but now during gameplay, deleting any progress made. It’s frustrating. You have to watch 5 minutes worth of ads to get ONE free diamond, and even then, sometimes it doesn’t even give it to you. Please make it easier, or add other ways, to get diamonds. ✓ Sad to see what happened.Over the course of 5 years I’ve been obsessed with the game spend nearly $500 plus on my first city. I was young and foolish. Unfortunately a encountered a game breaking issue that froze my screen once I got to a certain point. I was devastated thought it was my phone but it wasn’t this game just isn’t cleaned up file wise. I’m back once again to see that five years have gone by and I see no updates to fix the gem crisis, loading bugs, or even quality of life updates. ✓ App is CrashingWas fun to play but there came a point where the app stopped working. I had created an account and then problems started to arise. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app and now it’s won’t even start! This is aggravating given that I was an idiot and spent money for diamonds to build out the city and now everything that I did is no longer accessible! UPDATE:At the reinstalling the app, it is crashing on both my Mac and this phone. It does not load. I don’t understand this. However, not only is it confusing, you get stuck because you need gems or you simply don't know how to get the items it assumes you already have. Why do I have the opportunity to build a floor with an item long before the item is available to me? The game also glitches. There is no real FAQs. The friends invitation to play new games doesn't allow you to delete or even hide the notification. 11 1-minute videos for 1 gem. Not Ok. No other true way to earn gems outside attaching this game to every area of social media or buying them. ✓ Crazy ways to make it impossible to playSo, like most these games this game's business model is making their customers pay to make things go faster. Especially the energy. Not it has this thing called fire, which happens all the time, playing or idol. So you come back an hour or so later, and half your city needs repairs, which drains all your energy so you can't actually improve your city. ✓ Good, land expansion is an issueIts good, however land expansions shouldn't include diamonds in the cost to be able to expand, diamonds themselves are hard to come by let alone having to depart your hard earned diamonds just so you can build more land to be able to continue playing, its a way to get players to spend money on diamonds just so you can continue to play or you have to stop and grind, watch 8 videos to get 1 diamond is a bit too much. 1 video equals 1 diamond would be much better and what the majority of other games do. We'll see. *update: playing it on an iPhone and it takes now an eternity to open the game after two days. It starts two successive bars then the third time takes over 10 mins. Lost interest. ✓ Not optimized for full-screen phones.I used to really enjoy this game. But there are many issues with it: 1. Not optimized for full-screen iPhones. I have the 11 Pro, and there are half-inch borders on either side of the screen. It looks like the developers simply did not care to make this game enjoyable on the new device. 2. Excruciating load time!! When I had the 8+, I thought the game loaded slow, but thought it would be better with a newer device nope. Still takes at least three ministers for this game to load. 3. Gameplay. The later objectives are impossible to reach because doing so required in-game purchases, and there is no way around that for a number of tasks. Meaning, you wind up in a dead-end game, unable to expand (which costs diamonds which you have to buy with real money), and likewise unable to complete the tasks. It even costs diamonds (again, real money) if you want to destroy a building you previously purchased! 4. Redundancy. Sooner or later, you’ll end up just watching traffic and the looking at the recycling plant. It gets real boring real fast. 5. Developer abandonment. This is probably the worse thing. The devs are unresponsive to my emails, and this game is definitely hasn’t been update in at least two years. With all of this, I guess it’s time for me to abandon the app as well. ✓ Starts off goodThe game is fun but the problem is. That you have to buy diamonds in order to expand the territory. Eventually you have no other choice but to expand and if you don't purchase those diamonds you can't continue to play.
