✓ Crime mysteries.They have made numerous changes to the game that makes it impossible to move up in the game without spending money. I used to really like this game, but now it’s just frustrating and impossible. The amount of energy restores that could be gotten for completing badges has gone from hundreds, to less than 150 for most. Crappy changes and I will not spend any more money on this game. ✓ Stingy with Leoprecaun roundsThis game, which mirrors Homicide Squad is just falling short of their twin. The rounds between clues are at least three times as long, costing way too many crystals for the tidbit clues earned. Plus the leoprecaun rounds almost dont exist, at least not enough to matter. This game is turning out to be more work than play, leaving me frustrated and feeling guilty for spending way too much on the necessary crystals. Getting ready to delete it. ✓ Don’t botherThe game is matching. Very, very little hidden objects. After you solve a few cases it gets ridiculous to solve a matching puzzle. You can purchase most of the necessary items if you want to give up on trying to solve a puzzle. I’ve been on the same 2 puzzles for 3 days. Almost impossible to complete without help. Well, I’m not here to spend what little money I have on buying what you have to offer. After today I delete the app and move on. Wasted my time on what I thought would be a fun game. ✓ Super FUN but.....The hardest thing I’ve come across so far is if there’s moves left over from a Match3 game we should get power ups... AND... we should be able to buy more power ups with the cash we earn playing the games... energy is obviously the hot commodity and each level takes HUGE amounts and we can only play 3-5 levels before we run out and diamonds is something I won’t pay for they should also be earned, not just by leveling up. LOVE G5 games but sometimes it’s hard to play from lack of “energy” needed....AND it makes it very hard to enjoy this game when you’re stuck on a level for over a week! ✓ Great game, greedy developersI love this game. The story is great. But the manipulation and greed is palpable. Example: Match 3 will deliberately on be able to complete the move after your last, encouraging you to purchase (with real money) more moves. The game is set like this throughout. Eventually you can complete without paying. But you’ll not be able to take part in the bonus games as you won’t be able to win enough compared to the amount of energy you use. I’m trying to win a match 3 game. I’ve played about 1000 energy points. There’s a red line stopping connections and and double tape boxes with only 15 attempts to rid 22 of the brown star coins. I want continuity in a game before I spend cash in it. One could literally spend £1000’s with zero to show for it. ✓ Too many adsThis game was almost perfect before the ads started interrupting the game play every few plays of a scene. You already make us see a catalog of G5 games when app is first opened. The game graphics are phenomenal particularly the overhead shot of the cityscape map! The fact that the scene will change style after every successful attempt, makes this challenging to play. That along with the fact that objects will change looks and locations within the scene after each attempt is what makes this nearly a perfect game. BUT it’s not perfect for a variety of reasons. Other than using the money to unlock new scenes, It’s basically a worthless stat. I have nearly $200K that I wish I could use to buy different helps like flashlights, magnets or detectors. You could also use the money to buy gems. Another annoyance is the Match-3 aspect of the game isn’t necessary. If someone wanted to play a Match-3 game the could download one of the dozen or so games that G5 makes. Ditch the ads and the Match-3 and you would have a better rating..Joe2D2Version: 1.19.2100

I’m out of levels but it still has events unlike some other g5 games that actually have beautiful graphics and gameplay but have been given up on so I tried this. Way too many match three games. I would suggest focusing development time on other gems like mystery of the opera and twin moons rather than making yet another match three game which is about beat to death at this point. ✓ Possible issueI have been playing this game for some time and always enjoy the events. However, I’m not happy with the current Pirate Ship event. To assemble the second set of clues I need Starfish from the Venice Beach location; this wouldn’t be a problem except I don’t have the ability to play The Venice Beach location yet. Therefore in order to assemble the clues I need to purchase 10 Gems with real money. I suspect if I do this and continue to play the next set of clues will want even more starfish. I’m okay with paying real money for games occasionally but I don’t like these kind of hostage tactics. ✓ Could have been my favorite gameThe graphics are great. The storyline is great. I like the different hidden object game modes although I hate and refuse to play Match 3. Getting energy to play is not as hard as it is in some other games I have played. But here are the problems: 1. Like some other hidden object games, the scene is never fixed. The objects are moved to different locations the next time you play. That is challenging but fine. They also change the appearance of the objects and I’m not thrilled but okay with that. But all too often, objects are hidden out of view behind other objects and you simply cannot find something that is literally concealed. 2. Due to all of the above, hints and/or extra time are needed TOO OFTEN and hints aren’t free. While you can win some free hints, there are simply not enough free hints available. This is where the money comes in. Hints are crazy expensive whether you buy their package deals or you buy gems. If one is not careful, they could end up spending $5 to $20 per day just to complete scenes. I don’t mind spending money for gaming. But the expense has to equal the fun. And Crime Mysteries just isn’t that fun due to the lengths they go to in order to keep you from finding objects and the cost of the hints. I gave this 3 stars because the story and graphics are great. But the two reasons I listed in detail above prevent me from wanting to continue playing it..Charl35605Version: 1.29.3102

✓ Too many Match 3 scenesThis looks and plays like Homicide Squad: New York Mysteries except there are mostly match 3 scenes. In HS, each location is a different hidden object scene but there is a choice of playing it in Match 3 mode whereas this game’s locations switch from match 3 to hidden object randomly. I’m hoping since this game is new the developers will give the option of match 3 or hidden object like the original because it’s too much Match 3 for me. The first couple scenes were all hidden object but now every single task has been Match 3 and opening new locations just opens more Match 3 rounds. I’ve been hoping for more games like HS because I LOVE that game and have spent years playing it but am out of new levels and only play events now but while this looks exactly the same, it’s going to need some tweaks for me to want to keep playing it. Obviously I’d like an option of playing hidden object instead of match 3 but I’d be open to playing more match 3 rounds IF there were easy ways to get power-ups instead of using gems. Also, since this game is SO similar to HS, I’d love to be able to link my games so I’m not starting completely from scratch but I understand that may not be possible. ✓ Task Cannot Be CompletedThis game was fun until I got the message “this task cannot be completed”. I emailed G5 support and the steps to take to fix this game are not only super extra, but the website for support is not user friendly at all. The steps provided by support to find the IDFA number are impossible and don’t follow the website at all, I can’t find the number. They also asked for my user log in but there’s no where to send any of these things. All in all I’ll probably delete the game after spending money on it which is super disappointing.
