✓ A joy to playGhost Trick is a smart twist on the adventure game genre where you play as a ghost that can manipulate objects to move around the world and save people. Your objective is to find out who you are and how you died, no small feat in this 10-12 hr game. There's not much else to say apart from that, stay for the story, characters, music and graphics and enjoy one of the best games made by original trilogy Ace Attorney director, Shu Takumi and his team. It ran well on an iPod touch 3rd generation so if you own anything newer than that, you're golden (this is an an iPad Air 2). Definitely worth the 9.99..Version: 1.04.01

✓ Outstanding adventure from the Phoenix Wright teamThis is a terrific adventure game from the talented Phoenix Wright team at Capcom Osaka. It has a highly original concept, great characters, and witty writing. Its worth pointing out that this is a very story driven game, so there is a lot of dialogue. If you can't read, then look elsewhere for your iOS gaming. Or better still learn to read, then come back and enjoy this wonderful adventure game. As for the price, it's £20 on the Nintendo DS, so the iOS version is a steal. You get what you pay for, so all those cheapskates moaning this isn't free might want to take their unjustified and shortsighted complaints elsewhere. ✓ Still my favourite puzzle thriller on IOSI’d never felt urgency, empathy, and actual investment because of an Iphone game before this one. The characters are greatly well-written and he mystery actually surprises you in ways you didn’t expect. The touch controls are intuitive and ultimately makes the game a great one. Perhaps the best moment in the game is one where you’re rushing to complete the puzzle or to move your character faster. The reason you rush is because you know a character you like is going to die or fall into a trap or something of the sort. I’ve never felt that way about characters in an Iphone game before. ✓ A plot twist no one sees coming. Criminally underrated.This is my favorite Puzzle-story game, and one of the best games I ever played ever. That says a lot seeing as how I’ve played Half-Life 2, Portal 2, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bloodborne, and Metal Gear Solid, and much more. I like the amount of thought and sometimes trial and error I have to apply to solve some of the puzzles. I've had some issues with saving my game properly, and often I've had to sit through the same dialogue and in some cases even repeat a large portion of a chapter when returning to my game. ✓ Fantastic game, decent portThe game is fantastic. I’m a pretty avid gamer but rarely commit to iOS ports; however I do not own a DS anymore due to poor eyesight. The game is a satisfying, powerfully captivating narrative full of interesting plot twists, great character development, a stunning OST to accompany you every second of the way, and the unexplainable phenomenon where you just want to keep playing to find out what happens and say “5 more minutes” over and over again until it’s 6 AM and the sun has risen. The port sees some lag/memory issues in the later chapters but not significant enough to detract from the overall experience. ✓ Stunning GameFrom it's silky smooth animations to catchy music and captivating story, this game will entice and entertain throughout. At first I was hesitant to purchase (after seeing the £6.99 price tag for all chapters) but I can honestly say I am extremely glad I gave in. Fans of Phoenix Wright and Adventure / Point and Click games should definitely check out this gem. The controls are intuitive, and the puzzles are head-scratching, but leave you with a distinct feeling of accomplishment once you decipher them. The only gripe I have, (playing on iPad 3), is once the game is exited, it starts from the beginning of the chapter, which can be avoided by locking the iPad whilst the game is running, but can get rid of a few minutes of gameplay. ✓ Tricky little ghostI’m a fan of the Ace Attorney series and I was expecting this game to be in the same vein. If you don’t like AA I can assure it’s very different. The graphics are smoother then they have ever been and the gameplay is intuitive. Without spoiling anything, the storyline is definitely its strongest point. It has a great learning curve as the puzzles get tougher and makes want to play that little bit longer. Even if it only mildly interests you, do yourself a favour and at least play the free chapters. ✓ Chapter Re-PurchaseI played through the entirety of Ghost Trick a few years ago, and I must say it’s a wonderful game; unfortunately there is no sequel to continue the series, which is disappointing. After having an urge to Re-play the game, I downloaded it again only to find that the chapters I had bought were not available. In essence, if I want to replay the game again, I will have to re-purchase the episodes. Even so, the game is wonderful enough that I can easily justify a second purchase of the game. ✓ Not flawless but good enough to overlook thatProbably most akin to a point n click game, with gameplay broadly comprising of manipulating objects in each scene to solve a problem (usually someone's death) with a Groundhog Day-style rewind mechanic and an additional puzzle element involving navigating the scene by "jumping" from object to nearby object. The plot and characters are quite wacky, which won't appeal to all (me included), but it is so well written and cleverly designed it didn't bother me. It also has substantial content and really develops and expands on its ideas throughout, so for me it's well worth buying all chapters. Other things to note are that there is a lot of dialogue that can't be skipped and is repeated (I belatedly discovered you can tap-and-hold to fast forward a lot of it though, which is essential) and that there are frustrating moments, as with any such game. I wasn't immediately convinced playing opening chapters but it grew on me and has become one of the most pleasant surprises I've experienced on iPad..Version: 1.04.01

✓ In my opinion a hidden gem in capcom’s line upThis game is honestly one of my favorite if not my favorite game of all time. The story line is extremely interesting and well written and characters are extremely memorable and great. The game despite originally being for the DS works incredibly well for a mobile phone game and you will find yourself investing hours into this game if you truly enjoy it. I loved this game so much I finished this 12+ hour adventure in less then a week it was that great! Well worth the 10 dollars. I’m assuming capcom fixed all the bugs as I’ve came across none. My only complaint of this game is 3 things. 1. There’s no sequel 2. You can solve mysteries in one way only making the adventure feel slightly linear however the writers and creators of this game are extremely creative 3. ✓ Truly a modern classicThis is more than just a great game. It's truly a modern classic, and does not suffer in comparison to existing classics (Monkey Island, Chrono Trigger, Another World, Ico, etc.) A lot of that is in its story, which is a sort of heartwarming noir-ish detective story of betrayal and murder that's suitable for all ages. While slightly bizarre and surreal, the plot, twists, and world rules are brilliant, and the characters are both likeable and memorable. Writing is excellent thanks largely to probably one of the best game translations out there. Most jokes are genuinely funny and the drama is often emotionally affecting. Presentation is also amazing, though, with a unique and well handled art style, top-quality animation and an overall incredible level of polish. The actual gameplay is closely integrated with the overall experience, and puzzle design is both clever and unique. Not too hard but still taxing at times. I've played far too many games over the course of my life, and you don't come across one like this too often. One of the few I would praise like this. A hugely unique and enjoyable experience. ✓ Great game!This is one of the best games I've ever played! I loved it when I played the demo online for it for the DS, and was quite surprised to find this gem on the iStore yesterday! My only complaints are that after it crashes when I'm far into the game, it returns to the last main point instead of the last point that I saved at! Like, I saved in the prison, and ended back up at the room where Lynne was held further back! It's such a pain having to go through it all again. :/ Also, the option to skip through some bits would be good so I can get back to the points more quickly that I reach before crashing. ✓ Ghost Trick- A DS classic brought back to life for iphoneI was unable to find this gem at an affordable price for DS and was thrilled when I discovered Capcom made an iOS version. The story and characters were stronger than I expected and I had a blast figuring out all the puzzles along the way. It was rarely overwhelming for my average puzzle solving brain and was consistently rewarding. Interacting with all the objects was a joy and I was consistently able to get where I needed to be within the time limits. I was sold on the concept of solving environmental puzzles to prevent deaths, but the story and characters were so much more brilliant than I expected. I won’t spoil any of the surprises, but the main mystery is great and there are so many funny and dramatic characters to go on the journey with. It was so unusually good that I found myself wanting to share my phone with other people so that they could also enjoy the brilliance. ✓ One of the deepest and richest stories I've ever playedThe price is a little steep for iOS but remember this is a full budget licensed game from the ds, and its the full game and you won't find it for any less than £15 if you want to play it on a small ds screen. The story is amazing and absorbing and gripping. The writing and artistic style of the game is just perfect. The pace can be a tiny bit slow In the beginning and some puzzles are a little easy but if you put up with the slow start and dig into the full story you'll be rewarded with an amazing unique story that is better than 80% of the stuff I've seen on ps3 and 360 ect. If you have an attention span longer than a toddler and the brain to appreciate a story where you don't have to kill everything that moves then you will fall in love with this title. ✓ Yahoo! But...What an amazing game. Beautifully ported with intuitive controls, captivating dialogue and smooth animation. I promptly bought the full chapter pack ASAP (even though they were horribly steep). However, I have two gripes for this version, the main one being the application un-mutes itself during any cutscene. Eg, when traveling along a phone line. I have to lock the phone and reopen it to not have the music blast full force out of the speakers. The only other problem is that some of the images aren't full retina compliant, so end up blurry. There are certain images that scale them down properly for you but otherwise you should append "@2x" to the end of the image name and UIKit will shrink the image for you. ✓ Still pretty fun!!So I have the original version of this game and I wanted to see how this version worked so I could tell my friends about it. I’m using an IPhone 7 and despite the comments saying there is a glitch in the tutorial where it won’t stop loading, I didn’t have any issues while playing and managed to beat the first two chapters. This could have been fixed or I was lucky. Some comments talk about lag and personally I did not have an issue with lag but this could depend on your phone or maybe it’s an issue in later chapters. Yes, you have to buy the rest of the chapters but 13.99 for them is a lot cheaper then trying to buy the original version which might cost you 40$ or more. To note, I also saw a comment about someone struggling to renew their purchase? I haven’t bought all the chapters so I cannot comment on this. In terms of gameplay, it still works as well as it does on the ds. You still can move quickly from object to object, slide the screen around and interact with the environment with ease. ✓ Fantastic port let down by a couple bugsI love this game, I've completed it twice on the DS, and to have a high res version on my iPad for a grand total of £7 is an absolute steal! But there are a couple of bugs which hamper the experience. 1) Sometimes within a chapter, when the volume is set at a certain level, it will get STUCK at this level, no matter whether you turn the sound all the way up, down or even try to mute, the game somehow overrides this. Please fix! 2) When saving the game and exiting (from the notebook icon) you are asked to save from that point. But when you start the game again, you only get the option to begin from the start of the timeframe, which means a lot of progress gets lost. The only way around this is to press the Home button to leave the game in a frozen state in the background. This needs fixing! 3) The last issue I have is with the cloud save mode. I started the game before syncing with Cloud, so no every time I try to press the cloud within options, it doesn't give me the option to sync up to the cloud, but says my game will be overwritten. Since I didn't do this the first time, I would have to start over again. Is there any way around this? Other than there issues, the game is as brilliant as I remember, I hope that these small bugs can be fixed so that the experience can be as close to perfection as possible! How refreshing is it to see professional animation for a change? Be it hand drawn or, in this case, rotoscoped. ✓ Wowza!I really REALLY like this game! I like the story and how it's set up! And don't even get me started about the drawings! So good!!! I recently deleted this app as I had finished the first two chapters but today I redowloaded it. I have recommended it to all my friends saying how awesome it is. But there is one problamo... I don't really like that you have to buy chapters. I know that in most games you can buy things, but this made me really sad as I really love the story and to have it end just like that on chapter two makes me kinda upset tbh....still I REALLY mild how you have set it up and used a really good story. But if I could suggest one thing, is to either make the chapter prices lower or not there at all. People who are poor (like me) and who really like the game (like me) are going to be sad when the game just ends like that and then you have to buy the next chapters! ✓ Perfect for any Ace Attorney FansI can not recommend this enough to fans of the Ace Attorney series, or even visual novel/ puzzle fans in general. ✓ One of my favorite gamesI bought this game maybe 10 years ago and have re-downloaded and re-played it many times. You start out having died but have no memory of who you are. You have the ability to go back in time and manipulate objects. The storyline is intriguing and keeps you involved till the very end. The gameplay is a lot of fun figuring what object does what and the timing of when to do it. The writing is witty and funny. It's paid to unlock all chapters but definitely worth it. ✓ Difficult but extremely engaging and funI don’t recall exactly how I came across this game, but I pretty much exclusively play puzzler type games and I must say that this is one of the best ones out there. Yes, it’s a finite game and storyline, which some might balk at due to the price, but it’s still worth it in my opinion. The mechanics and ingenuity of this game are incredible and it really makes your brain work outside of the box in strange and delightful ways. Plus the story is good. It’s hard for a game to tick all the boxes—game play, story, mechanics, etc.—but Ghost Trick meets and surpasses these in extraordinary ways. ✓ Great game but...It would get 5 stars, I have paid for the full game and happy with the purchase. Great style, nice concept for a puzzler and tricky enough to keep you interested but a major gripe hence only the 4 stars... The save option does not work really. It auto saves after completing sections of it but these sections are very long, taking a chunk of time to get through. You then get to a point where you think it's safe to save your progress only to find when you reload your game you have to go through big chunks of puzzle you have already completed. Combined with the annoyance of having to skip past all the dialogue again just to get back to where you were it (almost) puts you off going back to it. If you're willing to plough through to the points where it prompts you to save though it's a cleverly designed puzzler..Version: 1.00.01

It's not the most challenging puzzler but it will have you furrowing your brow at a few points. The story is fantastic, and the characters are all very entertaining. ✓ Superb GameThis is a very expertly produced puzzle game with a great plot and musical score (worth playing with sound on). After reading the other reviews I bought the whole game and played it out on my ipad over a week or so. Helpfully for me it works well without a wifi connection, so it was a good amusement on my way to work (I don’t drive!). The characters are very likeable and the gameplay is enjoyable. There are so many twists and turns as you attempt to solve the mystery. Every time you uncover something it raises more questions. You just want to keep playing to find out what happens next. The final chapter and ending wraps things up. The artwork and animations are pleasant and fit the style of the story well. In this quest, you posesses inanimate objects, preventing murders and accidents to people who will help you discover the truth.
