✓ What am I supposed to do?!?This might be a good game. It's designed by the usually excellent Ignacy Trzewiczek after all. The problem is it's very difficult to tell. It's a digital version of what seems to be a moderately complex board game yet neither the tutorial nor the rules provided with the app are any more use than an inflatable dartboard. The tutorial, instead of being in-game, is just a series of not terribly informative videos, whilst the rules, rather than being coherently organised as (I assume) they are in the board game, are presented alphabetically with no logical structure at all. I love all things Witcher and have greatly enjoyed several previous Trzewiczek designs so I will make the effort to try to work out what on Earth is going on in the game but I can't imagine anyone who doesn't share either that passion or experience persevering beyond what will inevitably be a first utterly baffling and very disappointing attempt to play the game..MopsmeisterVersion: 1.0.0

✓ Bug fix? What bug fix?This game will NOT keep your game in progress when you exit and come back. I assumed parts of the bug fix they issued yesterday would be one of the two most grievous issues this app faced. It wasn't. ✓ Unbalanced game play.While the game mechanics are good and the game itself looks great, Geralt is incredibly overpowered with extra hero dice (while all other characters have 1). He's a hard act to follow with what you're given to work with. Personally, I liked the sorceress and her card sets but she can't hold a candle to Geralt (or to the dwarf, the second strongest character). This game needs rebalancing and until I hear some changes have taken place, it will remain deleted from my ipad..MisterLovejoyVersion: 1.1.2

✓ AI and matchmaking brokenOne of the major selling points of board game ports on iOS is the opportunity for solo players to enjoy the game outside of their gaming group. Unfortunately in this case the AI is so dumb that it completely ruins the solo experience. There is absolutely no challenge to keep you engaged. As for online play, I tried several times but never got matched with any other player. It's a shame because the game offers really high production values and some interesting mechanics. ✓ Really needs asnychronous multiplayerI really want to give this 5 as I love the physical board game and the setting as a whole, but until this game has a decent multiplayer system it is lucky to get 3. When your game causes a player to quit by minimising it that is a problem. Really needs asynchronous multiplayer implemented a la Playdek games (Waterdeep etc.), until that happens I can't recommend this and that is a real shame. Does the developer that players will actually do nothing else but play this game for the hour or more it takes to finish? ✓ Dandelion bug!!!Half the time you play his dev card Friend: Carmen, it takes your gold but does NOT give you the good fortune card. This is a pretty obvious bug and while I know the game is years old at this point, it’s worthy of a patch for these sorts of bugs!.Gewehr33Version: 1.2.3

✓ SaveWould easily be 5 star for me if I could save and come back. I don't have the time needed to finish av3 quest game available to me often. ✓ Very frustratingThis seems like a very good game. However it has been implemented on a mobile platform without any kind of autosave or resume feature. I suggest that unless they ever implement this that you avoid this game. ✓ CrashesWhen playing with Yarpen, every game it's crashed when about to finish the second quest. No save feature is a problem. Game also doesn't follow the board game rules exactly when it comes to timing issues. Good port if you don't want to break out the physical game. ✓ Cannot in Good COnscience RecommendThis is a terrible port - the company clearly does not understand mobile environment. You cannot exit the game - it will auto end and you need to start over (no pause or resume functions). The ui is subject to graphical glitches that impair your ability to make decisions or even play. The game begins to lag significantly after turn 10 - expect that 40-70 minutes standard (!) game to take more like 3hrs due to lag. Unless that lag causes a conflict in action sequence causing the whole thing to crash. 3hrs - withOUT being able to pause and resume, ever. Even though the AI doesn't know how to play the game and will lose even when playing OP characters (they are unbalanced... and perhaps rightfully so. Geralt is the main char... Dandelion is the useless sidekick, Triss is the "not the main character" mage, and Yarpen is "he was in two of the books, occasionally"). for god's sake, the game doesn't even remember your mute settings. However, it does remember that turn order is the same, every game, every time. The ONLY thing done correctly is the availability of offline play. In a game based on a BOOK, typos involving the word "loose" when you mean "lose" is pretty goddamn terrible. And it is not solitary. There is no true tutorial - just links to video clips with terrible voice overs. The rule book is actually a glossary.... of like, 30 different terms (some of which have no practical meaning in a digital game - like "when cards run out, reshuffle them") in tiny font. The people in charge of the app version clearly have shown NO thought whatsoever to the mobile enviornment... or even the digital transition. Did i mention 3 hr, lag filled, forgone conclusion games that cannot be interrupted?.JingsengVersion: 1.0.2

✓ LONGThis game takes forever to play, you are always tapping through messages and cards, It would be great to have a quick play, where the computer players just do stuff and not make you tap through every card they play, and every affect that applies. ✓ Two Important ChangesFirst: Need a save game mechanism so that if I need to close the app or turn off my device the game does not have to be restarted. Second: Need to fix occasional bugs resulting from (but only sometimes) a decision event that needs to display due to a social interaction. This problem is particularly bad considering that the game has not been saved and cannot be saved. The bug occurs and it is game over.
