✓ Pay for game pay to playI love me some rpg matching games! At first glance and play it was okay but the crap "retro" graphics do nothing but make your eyes tired from trying to focus - maybe its slightly better on iphone and not on ipad. I like difficult and challenging games but this game, due to its greedy revenue model, it is too punishing. I already PAID for the game, why make this game unplayable without paying more? I love Dungeon Raid and although you lose everything, it is worth it as you went on a long journey and had many options. In Devil Shard, you earn gold and have to pay for each painful, meager upgrade and lose it all when the cascading monster matches which end up mainly out of your control kill you. I appreciate some luck and randomness in games but this game is out of balance and unfortunatley, frustrating, not fun..HexpionVersion: 1.0.1

✓ Do you have to tap twice to slide pieces?It seems like this game makes you tap the piece you want to move, then tap the one you want to replace. Most match-three games just let you swipe across the two pieces you want to exchange. Could be the tapping is just unfamiliar, but it seems clunky and unnecessary. ✓ Fun, but meh....The game is fun and enjoyable. The graphics, I understand, are meant to look like that, so I won't mention those. The tutorials could be way better. I've been playing for 2 weeks and there are still things I don't understand. I also think it's kind of dumb to lose everything once you die. ✓ Good creative game, poor game structure.Good creative game but gameplay becomes redundant because when you die, you loose all items and experience. I understand loosing your stuff (you can acquire "insurance" to avoid losses); however, to lose all experience and start back at "level 1" is not enjoyable. But even sense adding them they messed with the mechanics of the game to promote buying in game currency to the point you can’t really progress without it, just like all their other titles. I think it's missing something the other games had. ✓ Very IAP oriented.You can struggle your way through the game without paying, but the game really wants your money and it shows with every single time you try to play. ✓ Horrid Reset & Unbalanced GameplayPlayer stat growth compared to enemy growth is extremely abysmal, incarnation activated on full soul essence instead of command, making luck overly important. If it activates on mobs and deactivates at start of boss, your history... Buying equipment slots is also costly. Whats worst is that it resets when you die. You can say this game is "difficult". But with how the current difficulty and mechanics is, high level of skill won't get you far in this game, its persistent grinding and luck which does, unless you want to take the IAP shortcut. And even with persistent grinding, you won't have much sense of progress in this game compared to others..OnisakiVersion: 1.0.1

✓ ByfarworstgameBy far one of your teams worst games. Absolutely loved both tower of fortune games. So when is saw this I immediately jumped on it. Nothing stays on your character when you die. The rat boss that locks your screen multiple times is just silly. The goblins in area three that attack each turn and pierce armor are just unforgiving. I'm disappointed in the turn from tower of fortune. This is defiantly not what I would of wanted, nor would of paid for. ✓ Warrior, is about to dieI loved Tower of Fortune for what it was: a minimalist deconstruction of RPGs that was great for killing a little time here and there. Devil Shard aspires to a similar goal, but replaces the slots with a seemingly deeper mechanic: yet another Bejewled clone. A simplistic take on Puzzle Quest, essentially. I'm fine with that, as I've been looking for such a game to play lately. Pretty much all roguelikes want you dead. I'm not sure if I would consider Devil Shard a roguelike, as it wants you way more than dead. Clearing the second dungeon requires nothing short of a miracle, particularly as soon as the exploding mice come into play. The game offers a handful of permanent power ups and enhancements that you can buy with the meager gold you'll get from grinding the first dungeon a couple of times until the difficulty ramps up and kills you off, but most of them are so expensive and minimally effective as to be hardly worth the trouble. The very useful equipment and level-up bonuses you get vanish upon death, presumably unless you buy the extremely expensive "Insurance" item. So, I like the aesthetics and overall gameplay ideas, but without some serious balance adjustments, this is less a roguelike and more repeated domestic abuse. Will happily give this a second look if it gets some much-needed balancing updates down the road..Davidbrit2Version: 1.0.0
