✓ Simple and classicI like the old style design combined with the roulette spins to determine chance outcomes. Gets a little tedious and repetitive; would be nice to have an option to speed up play - the same 20-30 action sequences get repetitive. ✓ Fun, but flawedThe game has a great, quirky style, and interesting mechanics that encourage planning and gambling. But a lot of elements are unrefined. By the end of the game, I realised that the best way of gaining money was to grind against low level enemies. As a result, the endings felt unrewarding. ✓ Promising start, disappointing endI read some positive things about this on the Internet and stylistically it's my cup of tea so I bought it as it's a bargain. It's original and is enjoyable. Until you get to about a level 12 character. You need so much XP to keep levelling up that this takes days. Sure, you can fight the tougher enemies, but the slots always seem in their favour. And 399 HP compared to my 69 is just unfair. Plus they get two hits or stun me so I just get pummelled. The easier enemies just don't give enough reward to make it seem worthwhile. ✓ Really?I’m amazed that anyone would find this ‘game’ fun. It’s a soup sandwich. And that’s putting it kindly. Perhaps those that have rated it so highly, and are enthralled by its simplistic and repetitive play, are the same million monkeys on the internet that are tap-tap-tapping out the grandiose works to match Shakespeare? ✓ What a grind……I played for 7.5 hours today. Few points I’d like to add . Your luck maxes out at 60. Kinda lame imo . The game has 9 stages essentially. Stages 1-7 took me about 4-5 hours to finish. The 8th stage was 3 straight hours of endless grinding . The final stage needs 25800 gold to unlock . And you average about 100 gold per minute of straight fighting . If you make a mistake your gonna lose 500 gold . That happened to me a few times. But basically your one shotting the final enemies and they are doing 1-4 damage to you. Took me hours to get the final 25800 gold . The beginning of the game is the funnest part . The strategy really comes into play. At the end your stuck with the best sword , and overpowered armor . I tried to switch it up with having more items that get extra gold , but I found myself making like +3 gold per fight that way. And again one mistake will cost you 500 gold . Making all the extra work meaningless . I really looked around seeing if I was doing somthing wrong but I wasn’t . It’s just very Grindy towards the end . And the final stages were so easy. There are 3 main bosses at the end . I killed all 3 without losing a life . And only losing about 50hp out of the 200hp I had . I really don’t recommend this game at all. Once you finish there is really no point in continuing . I know this is an old game but man. I feel like the devs did not play through this themselves . Or if they did they had infinite gold. ✓ Could be betterFun game, but the difficulty curve can sometimes get too steep. Also, the quest system leaves a little to be desired. In particular, there's no visual progress tracking, so it's very easy to lose track of how far away you are from completing the quests. I also find it annoying when I fail a "Survive 4 turns" quest because I win in 3, and I don't like that failing a "Defeat the enemy in (number) turns" quest makes it impossible to get more quests for the rest of that encounter..Freezer_fanatic302Version: 2.0.1

✓ Frustratingly randomNice concept- a simple RPG with results that depend on a slot machine. Spin the wheels to see if you attack the bad guy or vice versa. In practice it gets really frustrating. You can't control the outcomes so you can sit there and watch your bloke get beaten back to the first level with no way to affect the results. ✓ Great idea turned into a slog of disappointmentThe odds are scaled poorly, progress is slow and uninspired and replay value after tedium is poor. The idea here is excellent but it’s not applied well. The pacing is very slow and it falls incredibly short of a rogue-lite. It could be amazing if it were laid out well and some semblance of progress for replay value were implemented… but unfortunately it never is. ✓ It's OKAs others have said, it's frustratingly random. Yes it's basically a slot machine with an RPG lick of paint. It's very, very basic and is full of broken English. On the other hand it can be addictive, and the music and graphics are ace. The problem is that it's just a bit too passive a gaming experience. Luck is everything here, so you may finish the game on your first go, or you may never finish it.
