✓ Excellent program, just minor bookmarking problemsGood program and excellent value. The bookmarks (to save favourites) fails if you try to save too many. Still worth it despite this irritation. ✓ Not Perfect, but Best Tsumego AppThis is the best available tsumego app, but it’s not perfect. Some of the problems have incorrect answers and others don’t accept minor valid variations. Sometimes ko is allowed as a solution, sometimes it isn’t. I keep getting repeat problems in “Progress Mode” that have errors and it’s getting annoying to see the same few problems over and over at the 5k level because of this. SUGGESTION: Allow players to “suspend” certain problems in Progress Mode so that they won’t appear for a long time, like 2 weeks or 1 month. That would go a long ways in alleviating my frustrations with this app. Overall, it’s the best tsumego app currently out there. But it seems like this a market ripe for a better tsumego app that alleviates these weaknesses..Version: 2.13

✓ AmazingI’ve been watching this anime that inspired me to try go a little bit so I decided to download this app, Although I don’t really know much about go but this app made it very fun trying to solve the problems. ✓ I like itGetting back into the swing of Go it is rather nice. The only point of frustration is the problem's solution often isn't apparent. Sometimes a Ko is a solution, sometimes it isn't. Furthermore in the larger corner problems it is sometimes unclear which group should be attacked. Other then this, and these points are rarer it is nice. I use it daily..Version: 2.19

✓ Good practice but why?I very much agree with goodtutor’s review. I like the daily problems and the right or wrong feedback. The app is very clean and an appealing space to solve problems. However, it would be so very nice if there was some sort of feedback on why a problem reaches the “solved” state. I do think the app is useful “as is” to learn patterns in the game. It does enable the user to learn to recognize given patterns and associated responses. I also like that additional possible actions are considered. Each problem is designed to lead you down the best path, but you can take alternative actions that help the user understand possible outcomes..Version: 3.06

My Go skills have increased tremendously and it teaches to predict your opponents moves. ✓ Still learningI am very interested in Go and found this to be a pretty decent place to start. This might just be a personal problem, but I feel if there was a way to explain solutions instead of giving the answers when using the hint button, this would be perfect. Each puzzle takes only a few moves to complete, but you may need a few minutes to work out the correct sequence on your own if you don’t use the hints. ✓ Good app, but you need some knowledgeThis seems to be an excellent app with lots of puzzles (paid version), but it is not so good for the total novice. I didn’t expect the app to teach me the game, but I think it would be helpful if the Beginners puzzles indicated what you were expected to do, eg ‘Capture two white stones’, ‘Make two eyes’, ‘Save three black stones from capture’, etc. (I’m assuming Beginners problems have one principal goal.) But perhaps this suggestion only demonstrates my minimal understanding of the game!.Version: 2.19

✓ Very nice Go problem appI’ve had this for a year or so now and am quite a big fan of it. It has a good amount of practice problems and the best part is the daily problems that are sent to you! My only complaints are three: 1) The harder problems are not explained in detail. This can present a problem if you are just starting off on more difficult problems and are not sure why a certain move is incorrect. 2) Problems are not always graded well. I’ve seen some pretty easy hard problems that are solved almost instantly and yet some medium, or even easy, problems that are quite difficult! 3) Fortunately, this is only a rare problem but, sometimes, there can be more than one solution yet the app only accepts one way of solving it. This is quite rare though, so it’s not a huge issue. Other than these issues, it is an excellent app!.Version: 2.19

I’ve only run into one issue - I can’t seem to purchase any of the additional packs within the store. ✓ Great app for players with some experienceIf you’ve played a bit of Go and you’re willing to do a bit of hard work, this is a great app to have. The combination of 6 problems every day - 2 easy, 2 moderate and 2 hard - plus a sequence of 150 progressively harder problems to practise on, is really useful and fun. The only warning I’d give is already reflected in other reviews: this app is NOT for the beginner; none of the basics are explained. And it’s not just the basics: when you make a move, you might get told “Wrong” - but you often won’t get shown why - or “Solved” - ditto - or the app might respond to your move with a move of its own, then you play again, it plays - and three or four moves in, you find that every move you try to play is “Wrong” - so you’ve gone down a blind alley, but it doesn’t warn you in advance. I like that, but not everyone will. Lastly, it’s great that after you’ve been told “Wrong” or “Solved”, you can carry on making Black and White moves to explore different options and possible outcomes - but sometimes the total lack of explanation can leave me feeling a bit puzzled..Version: 2.19
