DRC - Polyphonic Synthesizer for Positive User Reviews

Good Synth plug-in but...It’s missing Bluetooth compatibility.. or am I missing a step or interface page? Tried to connect to Wireless keyboard, I could not. Pls make Bluetooth compatible.Version: 2.2.7

Outstanding SynthThis synth is easy to use, super flexible and offer A LOT of possibilities. A iOS classic for sure. - Kidam.Version: 2.4.0

Excellent synthEasy minimal and not over complicated design but still complicated in ways you can generate and process a sound. Endless opportunities since it can be controlled through iPad and daw. Great online tutorials as well to help learn the synth and good customer care. 5 stars from me!.Version: 2.2.7

I like it…I’m not big on writing reviews but it’s pretty good considering it’s free and the sounds are crisp bright and unique. I find myself using it quite often.Version: 2.8.1

Thank youWhen I went through all of the different settings and things that you could do on your app it literally made me cry. Thank you so much for making this so accessible in cheap.Version: 2.9.0

Simple in a good way, yet powerful where it counts.I don’t use iPad synths much these days, but used to all time and this one was a mainstay in my sonic toolkit, as it were. I also have the VST for PC and it’s basically exactly like I stated in the title: simple and concise in terms of layout, but powerful in terms of sounds and options..Version: 2.9.4

Truly mystical, totally brutalAmazing app, sounds like nothing else. Earth shattering tones. Insane ambience, I’m a bass player and even I can understand this powerful app..Version: 2.8.4

Love DRC's Philosophy! These guys are smart and understand what pro and semi-pro musicians want. DRC fills a void in the synth app market in being the first elegantly portable sound engine. I can transfer a preset that I create on the iPad to my iPhone and (I believe) can also load it up in the VST/AU version (although I have yet to purchase that). Sounds should not be restricted to a machine and Imaginando gets that. Not to mention, DRC has a unique character and can sound very gritty and analog if you know what you're doing. My only wish is for DRC to be usable as an iOS audio unit (AU3) -- and hopefully one day they will consider this..Version: 1.1.6

ExcellentGreat sounds. Easy to use..Version: 2.9.0

Great SynthesizerI love music production. I’ve done it for a year now and I’ve improved a lot. I’ve used GarageBand for that time. It’s a great app for music making. Anyway ever since they added 3rd party music apps for GarageBand and the ability to use external synthesizers, my music production quality increased. This app helped me up my game with music. It’s honestly great. It has lots of tools for EQ and editing for a certain synth, and it has a variety of different synths you can use other than the default one. My only problem is that once you download it bugs you to buy the full version. If you set it for free the entire app should be free. It shouldn’t ask you later on to buy the full version. But I removed 1 star from that. And the majority of the time they don’t interrupt the overall recording of the audio, so it’s all good..Version: 1.1.6

A must have! One of the easiest synths to learn, but also one of the best sounding. Do yourself a favour and get it....Version: 2.2.7

Absolutely one of the best synth apps around!I have to write this here, as well as a review for a few other apps I’ve recently purchased from some other companies while stuck in limbo like the vast majority of us musicians worldwide due to a certain stupid situation that shall not be named. For anyone out there searching for what I really think may be one of the very best synth apps one can find with truly gorgeous sounds and unlimitless possibilities to create your own synths completely in the mould of the best moog synths and more, this is the one. Beautifully laid out, easy to navigate and just an incredible app. Biggest respect to the programmers who created this, it’s pure sonic joy!.Version: 2.5.0

Fantastic app, phenomenal synth sound in your pocketI love coming up with sounds wherever I am. By combining this with Loopy HD I can craft whole ideas on the bus or anywhere. It does use a fair portion of battery, but I think who doesn’t have a portable charger these days?.Version: 2.0.1

Great oneThere are quite a few excellent synths for IOS and way more lousy ones. This baby is high on the excellent list. The cool thing is that you can try it for free before buying. If you do so, you will be hooked. Enjoy this synth. It's easy to use and powerful. We are lucky to have music making tools that rival laptop ones and cost a fraction of the latter. Take advantage.Version: 2.8.3

Best SynthUpdating my review from years ago now that AUv3 support is here. And now that it's here, and I have DRC on both iPad and on the Mac... It's perfect. Im still struggling to build a patch I'm satisfied with, but it's such a joy just using this synth. Really brilliant design language and UX implementation..Version: 2.1.0

Very good synthGood sound. Very fat. Good quality..Version: 1.1.6

Low. reverb qualityTo much low quality reverb / delay.Version: 2.5.0

Great sounding synthI love the sound of this synth. It sounds gritty and dirty in a lovely analogue type way and it is totally inspiring to play. It reminds me of the creative pleasure I got the first time I played on a minimoog..fat, spacy and out of this world..Version: 2.1.0

Fantastic tool for very little moneyA flexible - user friendly synth app that sounds great and costs bugger all! If your into synths -and programming your own sounds, get it. If you prefer to stick to presets, get it.Version: 2.2.7

WoahHands down best synth on the app store..Version: 1.1.6

A beautiful synth inside and outWhat to add? Just get it..Version: 2.7.0

Simple to use, sounds just massiveReally solid workhorse analogue emulation. Cross platform and lovely to tweak, and great little company to support!.Version: 2.9.3

StapleDRC has quickly become one of my favourite apps to make music with. It’s so easy to use, straight forward, yet incredible sonic possibilities. I particularly like the arpeggiator. Once you get DRC you’ll want FRMS as well! Would also like to thank the developer for being so responsive and active in the iOS music community… it is very appreciated!.Version: 2.9.0

Nice sounding appTried the freebie and had a tinker with it. Decided to buy the app. Had a few problems trying to purchase the packs off the store, but managed to sort it eventually. On a plus note the sound is very, very impressive with loads of scope for tweaking it. Definitely worth buying. Just mentioning the store bug on my tablet. For sound and possibilities it’s 5 stars..Version: 1.1.9

So versatile..so essentialLove how it works between IOS and Desktop, love how versatile and natural the synth engine is. Got so sick of scrolling through a huge plugin list. Stripped the synths back to rely heavily on DRC across IOS, mac and Windows and it’s made me so much more creative!! Give it a try...Version: 2.2.7

It just gets better all the timeI just purchased this and looking forward to another amazing synth that I can expand the sounds and ideas with. Way to go! Thanks for all your time and effort..Version: 2.8.4

ExcellentWhat a brilliant synth. There are millions out there but the quality of sound and the interface make this one of the best. It’s simple enough to grasp easily for modelling whilst retaining just the right level of complexity to create some really interesting sounds. Bladerunner-y. There’s also a really intuitive variety of in-app keyboard styles to help you come up with happy accidents. Future update suggestion: if the aforementioned keyboards could remain accessible via AUM (rather than only via the standalone app) that would be brilliant..Version: 2.4.0

Thank you for letting try free first! It's great that we can try first free. Then of course we buy. It's nice sound. The arpeggiator if could be expanded with more functions, that would even be better. Thanks again!.Version: 2.9.3

Needs Pencil support!I’m loving all of the Imaginando apps, especially DLYM and DRC - however, the only irritation is that some interface items support the Apple Pencil while others are unresponsive. It breaks my creative concentration when I expect to be able to turn a knob or move a slider and find the Pencil isn’t recognized, and I have to switch to fingertip. Sounds simple I know but it really interrupts the flow. Every other app I use can recognize the Pencil so I’m hoping this is just a minor fix. Thanks!.Version: 2.2.2

Amazing analog soundAmazing analog synth sound. Just when I thought I had enough iOS synths, I demo this...$9 is a steal. Sound is up there with big name commercial virtual analog synths. I can’t wait to fool my peers into thinking this is true analog on recordings. The sound is good enough that I know they’ll fall for it. Thanks Imaginado!.Version: 1.1.10

Great SynthSpend the time and get to know this synth. It’s really good. On an i-pad would be a bit better than a smaller phone screen. It has great effects - delay, reverb. I always really dig the sounds I find when working with it. Add it to your line-up, or try putting the signal out to some effect pedals. It’s a interface great design..Version: 2.4.0

Fantastic VAClassic and modern at the same time, an extremely deep and detailed synth lab, very up front, accessible GUI and state of the art iOS music app integration. Not to mention Fantastic fat sound, and a very involved and responsive dev team.Version: 2.7.0

I get it now! (UPDATE)Earlier I wrote a review complaining about three “issues,” specifically the advertising pop ups, noise bursts and failing to save AUv3 presets. I just really didn’t understand their business model or realize that this free version is a TRIAL. Imaginando sent me a very polite response to my review that cleared everything up. Now that I know that the free version of this app is designated as a trial, I’m pretty seriously considering buying the full version. It’s a great, beautiful synthesizer and the cloud preset function looks really great. Thanks, Imaginando team!.Version: 2.2.4

A synth with soulDRC has a UI that really lends itself to making great sounds. It doesn’t try to copy any other synth out there in its layout and the sound it creates has the essence of pure analogue. It’s very well supported by the developer which is something to be appreciated too. Thanks, Imaginando!.Version: 1.1.6

RecommendedGreat usable sounds, easy to use and very good value.Version: 2.9.0

The only synth-app worth buyingThis app has probably ended up saving me a couple hundred £ considering the wide array of patches and seemingly endless options. I got this in hopes it would be in-depth enough for industrial / noise and I've been very pleasantly surprised, (For those who want nice-sounding synths then this app is also for you too!) couldn't ask for anything more!.Version: 1.1.6

Best app everHello everyone.I Know I’ve written reviews about this app before but I can’t get over the sound and the so many ways you can adapt this app to what ever style your writing at the time. I have over 3000 apps and with the new sounds and ways you can create.DRC keeps remains fresh and now is my #1 app . You don’t even have to question what I’m saying check other reviews And go for it even if it’s not your top out of 3000 lol you will not be disappointed. That’s about as honest as I can be with you folks happy writing or performing covers which it’s just as great for. Sincerely ACR..Version: 2.1.0

Great synthFantastic sound, easy to tweak. Annoying intrusive demands for App Store feedback. But still completely worth the dollars..Version: 2.1.0

AmazingBest synth on iOS, interoperability with LK is a true gem indeed. I never have delved so much into a synth until finding this. The UI is hands down the best. I hate apps that try to look like real gear. The true fun is in the sounds you can get out of this. I use my Akai MPKMini; the camera adapter, and my phone or iPad, then I can lock the screen and still jam DRC. This is so cool because I feel like I am using an instrument and not a computer. Please give this a try, it's worth your money and then some. The ability to edit patches on the fly and save to the cloud and pick up on my iPad or in the VST are genius. I wish I could buy more products from this dev but I bought them all!!!!!!.Version: 1.1.5

Thanks for adding the keyboard and chords!Always missed these especially the chords matrix. Its so handy with the arp. If possible could the incoming midi trigger the chords? And thus trigger the arp’d chords? And by extension can drc transmit its midi chords and arp? As of now i can select drc as a midi source but no notes are transmitted. Thanks for keeping DRC alive!.Version: 2.6.0

THIS is THE app!Straight away with the default load in patch, it sounded perfect and I was able to easily navigate to each section of the app with ease. Because my current favourite band is ‘Knower’ (who have a distinct synth sound), it was hard to find out what sound patch they were using. By accident I found it straight away in this app and also with the simple layout, I was able to work out the chorus to one of my favourite songs in a matter of seconds!! I had a problem and this APP was the answer to that problem. Thanks to all the people who worked to develop this app! Now I’m off to try some more ‘knower’ sounding stuff on this app. Cheers!.Version: 1.1.10

A little bit differentSome of the synth sound apps are same, same but different, but this one is quite different, in a very nice way👍.Version: 2.1.0

LovelyOne of my favourite synths on any platform. I especially love the care and attention to the sound packs which are not dripping in excessive fx. Real professional work here!.Version: 2.5.0

Beautiful synth, Not just for power usersThis is an absolutely gorgeous synth that can sound haunting and ethereal, dirty or clean. UI is a joy for tweakers but the presets are amazing as well. I usually start with a preset and go from there. I hope the developer keeps it going!.Version: 2.1.0

First class synth keeps getting even better!Awesome updates from a developer who truly cares about both their customers and their work. Nice job!.Version: 2.8.1

In-app purchase bug.I’ve bought most of the in-app purchases a while ago and since the latest update it’s asking me to buy them all again so I touch restore purchases and it restores what I paid for, but if I come out of the app it goes back to the same thing so I restore again until I’ll close the app, please fix this..Version: 2.8.0

Keeps prompting me to repurchaseThe purchased iconic sounds one and two in 2021 but now it’s unavailable. How do I restore any purchases I made? Please help!.Version: 2.9.3

Good little synthGood mobile synth but be careful before you download, set your purchases to password protection. The trial period will expire and ask you to purchase. If you try to quit by hitting the home button, you will accidentally purchase it..Version: 2.0.0

Stopped working in GarageBandAfter the latest update it stopped working in GarageBand. Just loads a black screen. Please fix..Version: 2.5.0

Good synthQuick simple synth is a great addition to any micro studio.Version: 1.1.6

Very Nice.Gorgeous filters, nice sound, handy features. The chord picker (I guess you would call it) and MIDI learn also make this pretty much a workhorse..Version: 2.8.4

Needs update for iOS 12Love the app...when it use to work. Once iOS 12 was installed the app stopped working. Will not even open. Please update the app to work in iOS 12..Version: 1.1.10

I thought the iPhone and the iPad versions were the sameThank you for your response and you figured out my problem. I changed my review to 5 stars because it’s just that awesome. If anyone is on the fence, the iPad version just is so much more full fledged than the phone version, I think it’s just because you have literally 3 times the real estate. Good job on this app! One of my favorites for sure.Version: 2.5.0

DRC Side of the MoonNot using DRC as much anymore for the simple reason that it’s gain staging doesn’t match any other of the go-to regulars I use together in AUM or Auria. It’s far too quiet - have to peg the pre and master volume faders just to barely hear it. Gets to be a hassle having to add yet another dynamic gain stage for it to compete in the mix. I could mix everything based off of its levels, but invariably it always ends up lost ... kinda like the MD3000 Mellotron app does. Other than that, it’s great. Very unique and killer visual design and the UI is easy enough..Version: 2.1.0

Little GemAt first a brilliant minimalist synth, then you dig deeper and realise that it sounds huge. The FX are easily the best sounding of my iPad synths. The synth engine is both powerful and subtle, full of sweet spots, in fact the whole synth is a sweet spot. There are many high quality iPad synths out there but this is one synth that every enthusiast should have. A little gem. Update. This is now my go too synth..Version: 1.1.6

Lots of fun, sounds great and very usableGreat stuff.Version: 2.1.0

Paid for it again; but voluntarily-Yeah: the beta asked for another $4.99 to purchase - I paid for it after owning it already to support you devs - you guys are hard at it; always tweaking it - which is a good thing - it sounds really, really, good! Please keep at it!.Version: 1.1.10

Lovely sound, BUT...Since I began programming analogue synthesizers many years ago, I have become accustomed to working with the classic Minimoog paradigm/signal flow. I understand the developers’ desire to come up with something new that makes more sense to them for the apps format. While I appreciate that, it has taken me a little longer than normal to warm up to this synth for that reason. Persistence has paid off, as I can see and hear that DRC goes beyond the limitations of the venerable Minimoog. I think that the synth reminds me of a classic analogue synth that someone has extensively modified to allow for a wider pallet of sounds and sits somewhere between the Mini and synths that have a full blown modulation matrix. There are some lovely features in DRC e.g. the delay and some compelling sounds to be had here. Having said all that, there is one glaring omission that will keep me from using the synth very much until it has been addressed: For some reason the pitch bend intervals are locked in at 0, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 12 semitones. I program ALL my synth patches to bend four semitones, as that gives me flexibility to reach all of the intervals that are musically expressive to me, allowing me to bend into a note and then manually play vibrato that pulls sharp and flat from the target note (like a violinist would do), without having to be locked into that weeny perfect whole tone bend that keyboard players use to sound like bluesy robots. (Sorry keyboardists, that’s just how I see it.) It’s not like I use pitch bend on a every sound, but if I cannot program a lead sound that I can use when I need it, then the app will sit in the “maybe I should give DRC another try...maybe another time” bin for now. Why are the pitch bend intervals locked in this way? No other controls on DRC have such limits. Developers, you did some great work and I wonder if in a future update you can see your way to allowing the pitch bend interval to be set to any interval from 0-12 semitones. Thanks for all your efforts..Version: 2.2.7

Great synthAnd great deal on sale. A more analog sounding iOS synth. That is a very good thing..Version: 1.1.1

Worth every penny perfect mobile synthVery cool and smooth yet sensitive to the touch... Virtual Midi device interface that is compatible with most applications and music making software... works for me worth every penny perfect mobile synth.Version: 2.5.0

Imaginando stuff is instant buy in my booksGreat stuff in all respects, though iPad versions seem to be a way better price than desktop versions... I’ll stick with iOS versions myself....Version: 2.7.0

Great sounding synthVery easy to use, great sounding synth, with some of the in app purchases on offer, it’s even better!.Version: 2.2.2

ImpressedLove the sounds and the ones I paid for. It’s worth the money for 80s sounding synths. Wish they created more 80s drum sounds..Version: 2.1.0

BEST Synth on IOS that getting better all the timeThis is an INSTA BUY such a flexible synth. What’s better is the amazing patches that get released and even better than that are there video tutorials on how to create amazing patches from scratch with awesome songs. This allows you to learn how to create your own patches which no other iOS app makers are doing. keep up the great work guys :).Version: 2.7.0

A Lovely Synth!I just bought all of the IAP's because this synth sounds so fantabulous. Its a beauty of a synth. It sounds sooo good! Its so reasonably priced as well so I feel that you get a lot of bang for for your buck here. Try it out and hear for yourself-this Synth is a real beaut. Keep it up and Well done DEV!!!.Version: 2.9.3

Recommended!I’ve had this synth since launch and it just keeps getting better and better. Just bought the new Iconic Sounds 3 IAP and it’s mind blowing!.Version: 2.5.0

Great app!Great app especially if you're trying to get into synths, all what you'd expect from a standard analog synthesizer you can adjust all the standard parameters, easy and fun to use..Version: 1.1.6

One of the true Essential iOS synth appsI've had DRC for awhile now, a year or more, and it continues to be a Synth I go back to again and again for textures, lead tones and if I need something to just cause aural chaos. The developers are class acts, anytime I've had a question or needed support they respond quickly. Highly recommended..Version: 1.1.6

Very much niceThis sound device is very much great in many much ways. It sounds amazing It’s looks futuretro Sickkkkk Basslines a plenty Thank you DRC for making noise beautiful.Version: 2.2.1

New sound bank, very nice work.Very cool additions. If you haven’t seen the Imaginando YT channel, make sure you check it out too..Version: 1.1.9

Solid analog modelerIt’s unfortunate this app gets so many bad reviews from people who don’t appreciate a free trial period. So little iOS synth apps even offer a free trial and I can see why now. Now on to the good. This is arguably the most realistically analog sounding synth on iOS. Easy to adjust parameters, the filters sound great, auv3, and you can share presets back and forth between the desktop version. Less taxing on the cpu than model d. Easily worth the full price. Give this amazing app some love!.Version: 2.1.0

Still trying it out. Just bought itHaven't integrated it yet. So far so good. This app sounds wonderful. The controls are appropriate and numerous. The layout is great. I have never used iOS in earnest for live as I don’t have a CCK so the hold option is very helpful mixed with the multiple oscillator settings. More experimenting for me and less whining from the “free/ time limit scammers”. Really you can’t figure it out in that amount of time? What are you on the fence about? Imagine buying a hardware device that did what this does and then imagine the cost. A boutique synth of this sonic quality and control is not comparable in price. You would prefer 28 minuets? 45? When will you reach that final decision as to whether it’s worth the money? Smdh.Version: 1.1.10

EpicSounds beeeeeuwtiful. Can be smooth or gritty. One of the best sounding synths on iOS and I've used most of the big hitters. Very tweakable..Version: 1.1.2

10Stars!Excellent synth…customer service superb! Thank you 😊.Version: 2.9.3

Ingenuity plusI really dig these guys stuff. I have had LK for ages and now bought this beast. Great sounds and seamless integration with my other apps. Could not be happier. 😎👍.Version: 2.9.0

DRCI love the fact that I can create new sounds and tweak the ones that are there. I like to create unique sounds that I can use in my music which ranges all styles of hip hop from flipping samples to original hip hop to dancehall reggae. Having the ability to use and make my own presets is the best feeling. Especially when someone asks which app or plugin I used It’s like a secret that only I know about in my circle of friends who produce and or rap , sing or just like to sound design. I bought the extra bells and whistles. Keep up the good work.Version: 1.1.10

Very Cool Analog SynthI love this synth. It sounds great, is very intuitive, and the interface looks ultra cool. It's fun to use and learn about synthesis. Plus it works as an AUv3 audio unit plugin in your favorite iOS DAW. DRC's arpeggiator is great. There's also a truly unique hexagonal chord playing interface with adjustable settings that works great for song writing experimentation. I bought the full version and couldn't be happier..Version: 2.2.4

A Great Effort.Great sound and responds well to my Seaboard. It does respond in a touchy, analog, hands on type of way. Specially when your getting dirty. I do get lost when I dive into deeper settings, but that is something that occurs with all synths I have bought over the years. Both hard and soft. It is easier to find a way home with DRC. So I find myself using it when producing young artists, more and more. It is a great effort. Thank You!!!.Version: 2.1.0

Because I had toThis synths would seem to already more great reviews than most that available on the ipad…I am no expert but I find the sounds to be so thick and immediately lush….I own too many ipad synths and some are very good but this one is a stand out.Version: 2.9.0

For Analog Emulation on iOS this competes with MoogThese developers know analog. K7D and DRC are living proof. DRC is has a lovely, warm vibe with an emulation of analog circuits that I have yet to find on iOS outside of Moog. The GUI is different and takes a second to get used to but it is absolutely worth your time if you want that warm, crunchy and fat analog goodness that only hardware can deliver right on your ipad. The presets included are fantastic but I suggest diving in and building your own patches as it is a joy on this beast. Also checkout Imaginando’s YT channel as they will help you in building your own sounds and they do a very good job explaining everything. Well done and thank you for AUv3!!.Version: 2.2.1

GorgeousBeautiful sounds, immediately tweakable, classy looks.. It’s the Taylor Swift of iOS synths. And you can trust in the quality of the dev team, they love what they do and it shows. Cheers 🍻.Version: 2.9.0

A beastOne of thee best soft synths u can get if u like that spacey, acidic, free flowing sound in your music…🪐.Version: 2.9.3

Very legit. Like it a lot! It’s remarkable that something like this is available for such a small cost. This is really an outstanding soft synth. The feature set is good and it sounds absolutely fantastic. Very much usable in a full music production, nothing is lacking sonically. I wish it were available as a plug-in instrument for Ableton; although it’s probably possible to integrate it into that workflow too, I guess I just haven’t figured it out yet. Anyway— for the price of a cheap lunch, this little synth is the bomb! Very happy..Version: 2.1.0

Really very goodGreat app and will worth the cost..Version: 2.1.0

Desktop quality synth on iOSFirst class virtual analogue synth. Has all the features you would expect and some! The latest update adds new functionality and an awesome new IAP Constellation toolkit. Just get it you won’t regret it..Version: 2.7.0

Brilliant and under the radar.I use a Bitwig and Omnisphere on desktops now and see that this is a VST proved to iOS. That alone makes these chaps a great friend to iOSists...is that another “Ism” I have invented? Sorry. Brilliant super synth app. Just seen the developers reply as well to these reviews. Now you must...by iOS legislation...buy the paid version. That’s true in the UK, Germany, Canada, Spain and most other places. America, because they’re a little behind the times as far as culture goes (give them time!), will soon make this law to buy. After they’ve sorted their own laws out. Is that the mist ridiculous review ever? The 5* rating should have told you to buy this. The Reading of this is your fault. I didn’t force you! Seriously...this is excellent..Version: 1.1.6

One of the few very brilliant synths available on iOSOne of the few very brilliant synths available on iOS.Version: 1.1.6

Must buy for your collectionGreat engine ...what’s not to like 👍.Version: 2.2.1

This is a really cool synthesizerI had one similar to this made by Moog, was it Animoog? No it was something else that design was skeuomorphic. I got trapped in one of the settings I couldn’t get back to the keyboard. I’m not sure what the name of that synthesizer was but it was very similar to this if this is that same synthesizer, I actually preferred the old style graphics.Version: 1.1.10

Really good regardless!!!Like others I bought this app thinking it’s free and seeing all the positive reviews. But you gotta spend some money on the upgrade and the additional sound libraries. But it’s not that expensive and you get some great patches and capabilities. I am overall happy about having this very versatile app and will use it in a lot of my production. Worth it indeed!!!.Version: 2.4.0

Great synthDon’t be put off by the minimal appearance of the synth, it sounds great and it took me less than 5 minutes to decide to buy the synth engine and factory expansion. I didn’t buy the presents, as a long-time synth user (I started back in 1973 with a Synthi AKS) I prefer to programme my own sounds. Having now used this for a whole day on a recording session I can only say you only buy one synth. buy this one and if you’re a beginner you learn about synths a lot quicker with DRC. Before you ask, nope I have no connection with the programmers..Version: 2.2.7

The BestNow I finally have a real synth on ios that inspires me to learn and create. Stunning synth engine. Thanks to the developers for their hard work.Version: 1.1.5

Great SynthThe minimalist ui's make an app take up less ram so you can run more insatances of this or other apps..Version: 2.8.4

Smooth and wild...Smooth, easy interface. Easy to get up to speed on and actually use. Sounds are top notch. Love the black/white look as well. Yeh, not important to the sound, but cool nevertheless. A winner..Version: 2.9.3

Superb!A gorgeous sounding, infinitely tweakable, and wonderfully intuitive synth! This ranks right up there as one of the very best in the App Store. If you have enjoyed the likes of SunrizerXS, Animoog, TF8 Synth and Magellan Jr. etc then you really owe it to yourself to give this one a go to!.Version: 1.1.6

Wolf in sheep’s clothingMust admit the cool minimal look of DRC had meant I’d initially overlooked it as just another meh/me too synth, but I snagged the main engine and a couple of expansions in a recent sale, and realised how wrong I’d been. The interface is immediately accessible, well thought out for touch interface, and the tight integration of onboard effects with the immediately comprehensible and familiar controls encourages tweaking and your own preset creation. Even more importantly, this is relatively processor-lightweight in comparison with some mega synth apps, so it means I can actually run it along with a decent complement of other apps in AUM without descending into crackle hell on my IPad Air 2018. Finding it good for my Ambient/lo fi experiments, and I’m buying the remaining expansion packs now at full price as a way to say thanks to a great dev..Version: 2.2.3

Bang for your buckQuite the versatile instrument, and aesthetically pleasing to boot. You can even change the color scheme to suit your own vibe. The oscillators and mods are top notch. The sounds that one can easily generate from this thing are fantastic. It's easy to get lost in it and lose track of time. At $4, it's a bargain..Version: 2.4.0

Amazing- beautiful aesthetic/design - no ads - lots of options - very functional - sounds damn good.Version: 1.1.8

Lots of awesome presets and easy to make your own.Love this synth. It’s one of several go-to synths I use with my midi keyboard and AUM / Audiobus setup with several other apps. This sends and receives midi like a charm..Version: 2.8.4

An amazing synthThis is one of the best synths around, capable of a huge range of sounds. Just awesome..Version: 2.5.0

Gréât sounds, easy to useWhilst DRC would make an excellent first synth for someone learning the ropes, it is equally as powerful as more complex iOS synths. IMO it is one of the first synths anyone getting into iOS music-making should buy..Version: 2.5.0

I just mess roundBut I love this app.Version: 2.9.3

Top Notch Gear! This app sounds ridiculously good. Very, very analog-like, just a treat for the ear..Version: 2.5.0

Don’t be put offDRC can appear a little intimidating- it looks unlike most other synths out there. But give it time and a little patience and you’ll find it deep, powerful, melodic, flexible- pretty much everything you want from a soft synth. Oh, and the IAPs are worth the investment too..Version: 2.8.1

Great synth!Very well designed, only the good stuff and no useless futuristic editors. Amazing synth for musicians who know what’s up and need top sound quality. And on top of that, the company has a real cool and friendly vibe and are not too intense on emails, which is a rarity these days. Keep it up Imaginando..Version: 1.1.10

One of the bestThere are many synths out there vying for your attention but do yourself a favour and grab this beast. It’s deep and satisfyingly good!.Version: 2.9.2

Easiest to understand.I have made a lot of noises with synth apps on my iPad. Some of them I even set out to make myself. I mean, sure, buy a few presets and go for your life but I enjoy making my own. DRC has been my tutor. It's very logical in the way it is set out. Makes things easier. Love it..Version: 2.5.0

Big fanReally admire how these devs operate. Their pricing, the rent to own options, sticking with their apps after release even when sales likely slow down and then of course the ability to test drive before buying. They totally get it - this is what most of us want! Great sounding synth. I’m using in NanoStudio 2 primarily. Lastly, I think these devs should win an award for best preset names! They are often hilarious but always memorable. Nothing worse than paying money for something and getting “Bank A #1”, “Bank A #2” - “Bank A #24”, etc. Good stuff. I’m new to this sound game but I will definitely be supporting this dev on a go forward..Version: 2.2.7

Can’t wait to fire up those subsAmazing work Devs! Keep it up awesome little app! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🔉🔈🔈🔊🎧🎧🎧🤩🤩🤪🤪 Head nodders Society..Version: 2.2.7

Totally worth it so many soundsI’m loving this. I had a microkorg in the past and this app is different but equally awesome. So many features. Got it hooked up to a UE Boom and the sounds are fantastic right out of the gate..Version: 2.2.4

The best synth on the App StoreVery easy to use. very clean and intuitive interface. Sound absolutely incredible. It’s hard to believe this is a software synth after hearing the sound quality. it’s very versatile, and it goes very deep. It’s pretty stable too. Love the Midi controller support also. I’m getting the desktop version as soon as I can..Version: 2.9.3

Imaginando keeps this app relevantIn my opinion, a big part of the value of DRC (and FRMS) is their ongoing development seriously good preset packs. I’m not someone with a lot of time for sound design, so I really appreciate they’ve got folks who are really good at this. Lots of great options ranging from full-bodied, classic sounds to noises from all across the frequency spectrum. And you can tweak from there. Great support..Version: 2.9.3

Great synthLovely little synth engine, infinite tweak ability and a natty scale constructor for the keyboard (you choose the notes it displays). Great.Version: 2.2.7

Lots of gems on hereI gear more towards ambient style pads and there are plenty. There are so many good soundsI appreciate the work by these talented artists. The synth interface is easy to understand and tweak..Version: 2.9.2

Very useable polysynth for gigsI use DRC as one of my main live polysynths in gigs. There are of course some other great polysynth apps out there, but this is the best I’ve come across which isn’t trying to emulate a specific vintage machine. It’s capable of refined, pure tones as well as dirtier gritty and wilder timbres. And it’s full of all the necessary functionality for incorporating into larger setups..Version: 1.1.6
