✓ Fun, but got boringThe levels are fun and some are challenging, the only real complaint I have is the fact that every 3 levels you have to load to return to the balloon, then load while it selects a “world”, then load again to select one of three levels, then load once more to play the level. ✓ Too many scenes that are unskippableI love these games, but this one falls short. You can only play 3 levels before you have to sit through the same tedious cut scene over and over again. Not sure why this creative decision was made, especially when most people like puzzle games because you just solve puzzles and nothing else. ✓ Not as good as classic cut the ropeAs the title suggests it’s not got the charm or the challenge of the original. In fact this game had no difficulty at all to experienced players. Also my biggest gripe with this game is that some of the levels are copies of older levels from previous games. ✓ Excessive cut scenesThis is a very nice Cut the Rope with some structural problems. Main issue is that you never really know where you are, levels are delivered in batches of three, with slow cut scenes between them. Second issue is it’s not really a family game because it alternates from excessively easy tutorial levels to some puzzles that many kids wouldn’t get. ✓ Decent sequelI like some of the creative mechanics, it would be cool if they were mixed more in levels. Like maybe lanterns under water. I also really like the idea of 3 short-burst level segments and collecting a nommie at the end. The nommie scrapbook seems a little incomplete though. It would be cool if there was a short little blurb with each nommie that describes a fun fact about them or maybe their personality. It would also be cool to unlock nommies with achievements as well or getting stars not just by completing levels. I will update my review when there are more levels and features (hopefully soon - already 100%ed it) but I have enjoyed it so far for what it is. I hope you take my suggestions into consideration. ✓ Solid gameplay, some annoyancesClassic cut the rope, if you've played the others you know what to expect. Somewhat bland level design but overall serviceable gameplay. The HUGE annoyance is every 4 levels you have to watch the same unskippable 15 second cutscene, then get booted out to the main menu, press play, watch another 10 second unskippable cutscene and then you can play again. ✓ Classic CTR, Short Game, Small AnnoyancesThis is Cut The Rope. If you enjoyed the style and play of the classic versions, you’ll enjoy these puzzles too. There aren’t many of them. 120 levels is only about 1.5 hours of play given how easy some of them are. The real pain in this game is that every three levels you have to watch the same ~5-10 second cut scene to progress. It’s unskippable and after seeing it 10 times it gets real old, real fast. ✓ Quite sad to see what’s become of Cut the Rope…I’ve been playing this series since the very beginning, and loved it for its creativity and challenging puzzles. Very little of that can be seen here. The best part of the game is probably the nommies designs, the levels are way too short and easy and all feel about the same. The game just feels very small and repetitive and the cutscenes are incredibly annoying. It frustrating in that I keep tapping the screen trying to skip past the animation to get to the levels but to no avail. It feels like there is a 3x watching to playing ratio. It lets you play 3 levels with animations after each level then when you complete the three levels then there is a whole bunch more animation.
