✓ Why 2 hours?Really dumb for the makers make a other CATS and do the same thing but with robots but that’s not what I am talking about. Why did you have to put 2 hours for 1 crate like I can’t play a single new game without having 2 OR LESS HOURS WORTH OF WAiTINg. True fact is, regardless how you swipe, bot will always adjust itself to your current level +5. Then the developer ripped everyone off upping the 3.5X to 35 Gems per chest. ✓ It’s okay...ish?This game was fun at the beginning but then then I realized “What if these aren’t players?” So that changed my review from 5 stars to 4 stars. The next thing is then are incredibly skilled “bots” that I am an orange belt, getting wrecked by a white belt which made me annoyed so hard I uninstalled this game TONS of times over again to the point where I was gonna keep this uninstalled. Why? Even if you had 49 wins and 1 lose your winrate goes down STUPIDLY FAST, stacking up to 0%, making the game probably unplayable (had not tested it yet) . As an example, I had around 7 wins and lost once, and my winrate had gone from 100 to..77. That changed it NOT to 3 stars but 2. I still play C.A.T.S and think it’s actually good unlike this. Ether nerf the “players” or make it so that winrate goes down due to a 48 difference. Don’t recommend. Edit: Now C.A.T.S is screwed now, just because ZeptoLab is just being annoying now. ✓ Very unbalancedGreat idea for a game but SO unbalanced. Maybe 50% of the people I match against have bought their weapons/robots and basically insta-win every time. It’s possible to unlock these weapons, which is good, but it takes a long-ass time; the people I match against have played 20 games, won 19 of them, have the best weapons, and twice the health. I understand from a developer’s point of view that you need to make money. Not a problem. But it’s sad that such a fantastic idea is made so frustrating to play. Like I’ve put maybe four hours total into thinking of tactics, trying to jump over the other robots, knock them over, dig underneath them... trying to get these tactics to work in the testing area is difficult but rewarding... then you match with a robot that’s only had ten matchups, has the best weapons and twice your health, and wins by randomly flailing around a weapon you can’t avoid (hint—it’s the hook). I still have fun playing, and credit to the idea. That’s why I put two stars instead of one. It’s going to be a slog until I unlock what other people paid 9.99 for (!!!!!) though..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Not bad but bad balanceThe game is fun and has some skill element to it. Eventually though you will come up against lame people using the Cannon Weapon, with their robot laying flat on the ground not moving...with the cannon firing in a way which is incredibly lame and cheap and unavoidable. This ruins the game...as people after level 8 do this a LOT. It’s less of a battle and more of a glitchy way to avoid fighting properly and to farm wins. If the force of the cannon ball has the power to cause MY robot to move when hit, the act of firing the cannon should have RECOIL for the user. Stopping them from being able to be on the floor farming wins Edit: there was an update today but the hook weapon and cannon are still unbalanced.Version: 1.6.0
✓ Badly monetisedFirst of all, I love the game, it’s brilliant, I love playing it, there is nothing wrong with it except one thing, THERE IS A PLAY TIME CAP??? Why??? You’re allowed to play levels up to a certain point and then a timer pops up and you can’t play anymore unless the timer runs out or you pay for the timer to go quicker. My only guess for the reason is money, which is fine but why like this? If you want to complete with other gaming apps maybe stop stopping players from playing... ✓ This game COULD BE so goodThis game is pretty fun, it’s simple, and I had an interesting concept. The one big problem with this game, and that’s the fact that it’s pay to win. Zepto labs, when you Gus made cats, it was a hit! But do you know why it didn’t last? The same principle as this game. Pay to win mechanics ruin all the fun in a game, when some spoiled 8yo who spent 100 bucks on this game, only played 20 rounds, gets into a match with you, and just destroys you, it just makes you cringe and say “this game is ruined”. But it DOSENT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS! You (Zepto labs) already have a good amount of income from us as players being able to watch ads to get bonuses and shorten our wait time, you don’t need to have the pay to win mechanic, you choose to have it. ✓ Great game at its core but has major problems.It’s fun for a little while but you don’t really get any other weapons to use because the progression system requires you to wait 2 hours to get xp or pay for the premium currency. you get 3 weapons then you have to wait 2 hours just to get a little bit of xp. That’s the problem with most mobile games it’s that you have to wait to do literally anything. And to win you don’t even have to try. ✓ Great game, terrible gameThe game is a great concept with a horrible execution on all fronts. The whole program a robot thing is fine. Everything else is bad, the dojo isn’t applicable to the sort of movements these robots will achieve, the first 30 ladder rewards are boring and hard to level up enough to use anyways, there are so many fake players with the same 3 preset bots, this is my 3rd day, the game is no longer fun, and I am leaving now. I also tried in app purchases at first when the game appeared fun. I left a review commenting on the experience, that review was deleted. I made 3 purchases as experiments to see what would happen. All three responded telling me they could not be verified, meanwhile purchases of similar amounts in Clash Royale were when using the same card. If the payment isn’t verified you would expect the funds not to leave my account, but I am currently missing the funds 72 hours later. This is far past the terrible 24 hour delivery mark Zeptolab states. They ask for niceties, but they deleted my critique from when I liked the game, so I don’t care. The game needs to be inspected for how it handles money. And zeptolab need not worry about me (as it seems I’m not their customer) I’ll be grabbing my refund from Apple asap..Version: 2.3.1

✓ Cool game with issuesIssues first: Ties always result in the other player winning the match, which means that it must the same for the other player. That smells fishy and I think this needs to be fixed. The matching algorithm seems unclear - often matched with players dramatically more powerful than I am, but almost never less powerful. Also weird. That said, the game is pretty fun; I like being able to “draw” my robot moves and occasionally thwart those much more powerful units. But there’s the rub - if you’re going to match me with a much more powerful bot, it’d be nice to have a bonus for beating them/outsmarting them..Version: 2.1.1
✓ Change My MindGame starts outs great. Love the concept. Somehow was 1st place for the contests. So I made another account on my other phone... didn’t see my main account at the number 1 spot. Whatever. Now, it seems like I’m facing a lot of the same players. No matter what type of match I play. High and low costing games. There’s one in particular that’s a robot w/ nothing but the stinger that barley moves so that you just lose. Literally takes no effort. A lot of those and other similar robots that I can’t get around. It’s like the 3 same presets for different scenarios. I have to get lucky and switch presets last second to hopefully screw them over. But even then... they still just seem unfair and a little too fortunate at times. It’s still pretty fun. But as I progress and get less parts I actually find useful or beneficial; the more I face these same exact presets. The game can be played offline and the names stay the same, conforming this. For me, the lack of online features makes the game seem half made. You guys took my money but nothing came through on the app even after restarting the game, and my phone multiple times. Internet is 800 mbps to my phone as well, so there was no discrepancy with bandwidth loss during purchase. I have reported both losses to Apple and they I am waiting 48 hours for a refund which I presume is sent to the dev team to review. Will delete this game & go back to 8 Ball Pool. If the ads were minimal (developers less greedy), when you finish in the top few spots you got some fireworks, huge upgrades or a bunch of chests, may be even different coloured robots etc, this game could be awesome. It’s incredibly similar to CATS, or Crash Arena Battle Stars, a previous game by Zeptolab, in the way you create your robots, but the teaching mechanic is very interesting. It definitely adds a level of strategy that the auto-battles of CATS lacked, and raises the skill ceiling as well. Robotics! Is a good game when looking at it through a narrow lens, but it’s similarities to CATS make it look like Zeptolab is reusing game ideas, adding minor tweaks, and passing them off as new, unrelated games. This would be okay if it were to be considered a ‘CATS 2’, so to speak, but instead of making it part of a series they pretend it’s entirely new. Robotics! Is a good fit for people who like auto battlers, but if you are going to play this game, don’t play CATS..Version: 2.0.0

Then I realized that you only play against bots, I know because you always get matched with someone suspiciously quickly, they always are very close in wins and finally they always have more strength or health than you. ✓ Some weapons are TOO powerful.I enjoyed this very unique game for some time, just doing missions and unlocking new parts for my robot however in the multiplayer mode you can be matched with opponents that are ten levels higher than you meaning that they can kill you so easily. The developers need to make it so you are matched with opponents of similar level instead of win percentage/trophies and the weapon that you unlock on level 12 in too overpowered taking a bot out (with 140 odd health) in two shots and it cannot miss..Version: 1.5.0

✓ Just more CATSMaybe I should have sticked with it for longer, or maybe it’s not my kind of game, but this just isn’t fun. You put together a robot from parts you collected , teach it some moves (which hardly work as intended ),and watch it fight an extremely short battle against an opponent who went through the same process. It really is just jankier CATS. It takes a lot of elements from CATS - and would probably be fun to those who like it. But it has cute robots..Version: 2.3.1

✓ I can’t tell if I’m bad or if my robots badWhy does my robot do so much unexpected stuff??? How does my robot with a laser meant to jump LOSE over a person with a grabber that’s down low?? Why do they make it so the robots flip so easily ???? Why is it such a funky style??? why is it with 1 single step you can lose the entire game because your robot decided to reanimate at the wrong time and throw its leg out or flip?? why does the robot do completely different stuff to what I want it to do?? One match it will jump super high, the next match it can’t even get off the ground, I will animate it so 1 leg kicks so it jumps in one direction, but then it jumps in completely the opposite somehow and flips. Why is it the only way to win without flipping is to make your robot go down low and barely move?? Even slightly moving turns your robot upside down. ✓ UnbalancedIt’s unballenced and boring. All you do is just kill move and kill it’s boring. Being able to buy things to support early game makes it even more unfair (pay to win) you can buy shotgun and still beat a good bot just by buying better weapons not skill. ✓ This is a fundamentally buggy gameThe whole point of these types of mechanics is for machine learning and is inherently weird and fustrating. Turning it into a timed PvP game just makes it fustrating and buggy. Things inherently don’t go right and that’s the whole point of these types of scientific experiments like machine learning. If you had made it a puzzle game rather than using your awful C.A.T.S format this would have been a lot more fun as it would be working with the mechanics of the game rather than just waiting for who gets crushed first because your bots have decided just to jump on top of each other. ✓ You don’t play against real people.I’ll admit I was fooled for the first day, the game was fairly convincing. And it’s a great idea, but over the course of 3-4 days I began to realize, you’re not actually being matched with people. For one, every game finds a match within 10 seconds. That match ALWAYS has similar number of games as you do. They are also always a tiny bit stronger in hp or attack. This is how they fool you into spending money. You can beat these through luck and well placed movements however. Another big tell was the fact that even if the first match was a loss, many of these bots will use the exact same setup. A real player would switch their setup at the very last second, I’ve never seen it once yet I used it in every game. Also, I fought a player that was 11-1 twice. He beat me the both times, yet his score did not change to 12-1 the second time. And lastly, the headbands. When I was a white belt, I was always matched against yellow belts, supposedly only 1% of players had those. Now that I have it, 11% of players have it, and only 1% have orange. If that’s the case, why am I only matched with that 1% in every single game? It was a clever ruse, and the game is an enjoyable way to kill a half hour, but after you realize you’re not playing against other players, it kills the fun. I might be fighting real player’s creations perhaps, but they’re just randomly given to me to provide a challenge..Version: 2.1.0

✓ A sadly normal problem…This game is fun, creative, and adds a healthy bit of competition. This being said, it is wholly overshadowed by barrier to entry. This game follows a common model of micro transactions as currency to play. This, while being a “normal” situation in mobile games, really pulls me out of the game. ✓ Paywalls aheadIt’s ok for a few minutes. Need coins for everything and you’ll never have enough unless you pay real cash. If the game freezes or crashes mid battle you automatically get a loss and loss your coins. There are no real players it’s all fake ( just get in a match and turn off all your data and WiFi the game will still continue the match regardless). Could have been neat but devs want your money , not mine cuz there’s way better games that don’t Ask for handouts to progress..Version: 1.8.1
✓ A great idea poorly realised.This game should be brilliant, but the UI is hideous, the control input is laughable and the PvP matchup system just throws the same opponent at you 5 times in a row. ✓ UnbalancedI understand how this works. I exchange my time for your ad revenue. This would work except the odds of me receiving the weapons points I need are unbalanced. Every match someone uses a laser at 164 damage. My laser is only just over 100. No matter how many times I play and open chests I can’t get the laser. I’m constantly outmatched. Either match me with players in my caliber or others will continue to put the game down as no one (that spends their own money) will want to drop $10 or more for a slight boost with no guarantees. You can do better. 2 stars for great concept but poor execution..Version: 2.2.1
