✓ What’s the point?This app is essentially useless unless you are gonna spend the $6.99 CAD to buy text export. Thanks I’ll just type like I did before..Version: 2.2.2
✓ Endless loopTried to upgrade. I tried to give you even more money. But no. I encounter an endless loop of updating my credit card info, having to sign into my iTunes account, and then back to the credit card. Wasted 30 mins on this process, and even tried it on the iPad and after restarting the phone. This does me no good without being able to copy the text out. I’m done..Version: 2.2.2

✓ Can only read one page at a time!I have vision problems and use this app to read long articles and book chapters. Usually they’re more than 1 page, and I have to keep repeating the photo, scan, and OCR steps for every page after it reads the page. If I want to review the page at a later time, I also have to repeat the photo, scan, and OCR steps. Developer: please note. I would be happy to give you five stars if there were a way to fix this..Version: 2.0.5
✓ Results not completeAppears to capture all text but results omit and misspell many words. This is with typed content. I haven’t tried the Recognition software with hand writing yet as I cannot imagine it being any better..Version: 2.0.3
✓ Works Admirably… Exports CostAs a long-time user of the full Prizmo product on iOS and macOS, I had high expectations for the OCR. They were met. A few bubbles of course. Reading the word "in" as the character "m" is a big one, and it can have trouble reading fractions AND then deciding what to do with them when it does (3/4 or ¾?). No OCR is perfect and the clean up is minor. Four stars for doing what it says. BUT… They do need to warn you up front that exporting -- even just copying to the clipboard -- will require a five-buck payment. I paid because I know Creaceed is a reputable company and want to encourage future development on the Prizmo line. Knowing the Reviews folks, some others might feel "baited." One star off for the oversight as it does affect use of the app..Version: 1.0

✓ Absolutely useless!!!🤬This app doesn’t come close to actually doing what it claims. I tried scanning an old journal of mine to see if it worked... nope.... just a bunch of gibberish. I thought it might just be because it was my hand writing so I tried it with some different people’s and it still didn’t work. It’s bad enough that it doesn’t work but then you have to pay to get all the features anyway. Just a bunch of money grabbers who don’t check to make sure their product works before launching it. ✓ Need to buy a packageI downloaded this and scanned my first words, I used my address, it copied it clipboard, I pasted to my notes and it pasted half the address with a note at the end in brackets saying if you want the rest of the address you need to buy a package. No thanks...Version: 1.0.3
✓ Sounds Good, Reads T3®R!B[3After reading the hyped up description of what this app could do, I decided to get it. I immediately tested it on six different things in good light. The only impressive thing was the way a box and lines appear on screen where the app detects words displayed. But the actual conversion is beyond pathetic, even on clear, boldface book titles and packages. ✓ Switch and baitYou can't use the copy or open in app feature. This is actually a paid product although you can use the speak feature but there are better apps for that like Text Aloud. Scanner Pro to me has a better OCR and captures the whole page instead of underlining the text which had errors when I tried. When compared to Scanner Pro there were no errors compared to the same document and was much better..Version: 1.0
✓ You need to pay to get any use from itThis App at first glance appears to be free, but it isn't. You have to buy the Export Pack to get functionality out of it, so why on earth not charge £4.99 for the App in the first place. ✓ It’s stupidI wrote reviews before on similar topics but here I go again, ok so I understand that not every feature is/should be, free. But you take away some basic features that are the bare minimum, you can’t copy and past without paying and even if you do it the normal way (not using the copy button) it adds a stupid thing at the bottom of the sentence. Again I understand that the app shouldn’t be completely free but why can’t you at least let you be able to copy thing but selecting them? I suggest to use google translate (translate English to English using the camera then copy the “translation”) it works better at identifying text and it’s mostly free😀. ✓ Gave it a go....Subscription paid for a month, but handwriting recognition gives gibberish - and the hand is pretty clear. Unusable for handwriting. Would be good for print. Good job I only did a month. Update in light of developer comment: i did use the cloud, and “updating style” defeats the point, and is also not possible given I wanted to scan things already written. Bottom line is that I paid to try it and it didn’t perform as promised. I appreciate it is a tough problem and won’t work with all handwriting, but all the more reason to under-promise and over-deliver. If I’d had, say, five free scans to check and it hadn’t worked, then “it is a tough problem” would be reasonable. As it is, I lost money, albeit less than a pound, on a promise that it could perform a task that it could not do. Given that money changed hands and the app did not work as promised, the original review is not unreasonable.Version: 2.2.2

✓ How do I get the 10-pack trial?I love Hydro, so I thought I should check out the rest. Turns out I have Prizmo Go, but none of the in-app purchases. Since the app description page mentions a free 10-pack, I thought I’d grab it. Like almost every other app, the reality of what I can purchase inside the app clashes with the description page. I'll never understand that. It's bad enough that it's nigh impossible to figure out what various purchases are supposed to provide, but worse when I look for a purchase clearly stated in the App Store. Lest you think this is only a Prizmo problem, let me assure you that it's absurdly common..Version: 4.1

✓ Useless as a free appThis app is just a preview for showing you that it’s capable of doing but it’s supposed to. But unless you pay it is a truly useless It will only let you copy and paste five words or so. It does seem to work well. However, a free alternative is Google translate which you can use to translate English to English for example and it will just transcribe the written text from English to English on your screen and then you can cut-and-paste it and use it as you will. ✓ Good idea, bad executionIt’s a really good idea, and I would recommend the app if it fulfilled its purpose. The only writing it understands is if it was typed then printed out, you can’t scan actual writing. I’ll keep if for now but I hope there’ll be a update so it can recognize nice printing or even neat cursive. 😀.Version: 2.0.4
