✓ Magic The HearthstoneIt has the classic feel and features of a Magic the Gathering game with some more Hearthstone feel. The character voices can be a little grating, and it seems like there’s a high price gouging already from the start, but I’ll see where it goes! The matches are quick and fun. And for me, I really enjoy that it’s portrait mode. Makes it easier to play on the go or just casually.Version: 1.00.01
✓ The game is great, but kind of annoying sometimesThe game has some weird glitches i've experienced after the pc update. i played a 5 cost 4/4 give a friendly creature 3/+/3 and it targets nothing and nothing happens. random glitches like these happen once a while to me but only with debut creatures. ✓ One of the best mobile games I’ve ever playedIf you enjoy MTG and other deck builders like Hearthstone and such but wanted more of a faster paced game, Spellslingers is wonderful for just that. Set in the MTG universe with familiar champions, creatures and spells that give you that same fantasy vibe that WotC is greatly known for, Spellslingers is super exciting, fun to play, and hard to put down. 10/10 game..Version: 1.0

✓ Newest addition to MTG familyDigital successes are not a given thing for Wizards. This one is better than the most of their attempts to go digital with Magic the Gathering(MTG). It is glitchy as hell, nonetheless enjoyable. Nice introduction to MTG or a little bit of variety for those already playing desktop Arena (I see no reason to try the mobile version)..Version: 0.15
✓ Solid fast-format magic gameMechanics are fun, games are snappy but still present interesting choices. Monetization is no worse than any TCG, digital or otherwise - I’ve been unlocking new cards plenty fast and making and piloting new decks is fun. ✓ Almost perfectAs a person who has been card battling for 26 years I can honestly say this is the first digital version of a card game that doesn't make me want to throw my device. Is it perfect? No, but no game is, nor will one ever be. You cant make everyone happy all the time and people are to quick to down vote for such trivial reasons. I have a few very strong Plainswalkers including Liliana and I still lose to some crazy card combos so overall I see a decent balance. If you feel like its pay to win you obviously have never played a battle card game where the whole point is to acquire cards to strengthen your deck. you can absolutely be patient and acquire them over time but only a digital game would actually give you that option because in reality if you want newer or better cards YOU BUY THEM!!!.Version: 1.00.01

✓ Best card game to come along in a long timeI’ve been playing this since it it released in August of 22. It’s the first digital ccg that’s kept my attention for that long in a looong time. Last time was the initial release of Hearthstone. This is better. I spent a minimal amount when I first started and at this point have a full collection and many, many foils. The card art is amazing and the gameplay is even better. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of tcgs. My only complaint is that you have to play through the tutorial to get to ranked and the announcer guy is so annoying I almost quit there. Do yourself a favor and try it out just make sure to stick it out past the initial training. It’s a very rewarding game..Version: 1.04
✓ Great Game! But..Can you guys please add a way to play my own music from other apps. I don’t like listening to game sounds sometimes. Also make a way to block sneak cards with other sneak cards or a new keyword so you can block them. Not that big of a deal but would mean a lot to me and other people. ✓ A much needed IP for WizardsLet’s face it magic the gathering is the best card game out there. I have delved and invested into all of them heavily. Hearthstone, pokemon, Yugioh, Magic, etc etc. The art and lore of magic the gathering along with the competitiveness and mechanics make it far superior to any other. HOWEVER (and this is a big however) as a 32 year old father and husband I don’t always have the time or money to enjoy mtg arena or fnm. So I often find myself mindlessly playing hearthstone. I’m glad it’s there it is great for what it is. But a simplified version of magic for phones fills a niche I think many will enjoy. The tutorial is a bit long prior to providing freedom which makes sense as people of all ages will be downloading this. But good job and keep up the good work Wizards. We love you..Version: 1.04

✓ After you play a debut card, you screen is freezing.This is a really huge bug that after you play certain cards with debut effect, you cannot play any other card even you have 10 mana left. Only thing you can do is end your turn and lose your game because of that. So bad user exeprience. PS: seems like they fixed this bug recently.Version: 1.01.01

✓ Mtg2goI don’t get as much paper magic in as I’d like to, as a competitive modern player and Cedh enjoyer, I struggle to include new cards to keep things fresh as I am constantly optimizing my decklists in paper. Magic SpellSlingers allows me to play something new and fresh, and the games are quick. Couldn’t ask for a better design.Version: 1.01.02
✓ Would Wait Til UpdatesOverall I enjoyed the game while playing, it’s interesting the abilities attached to the characters. Obviously it’s not a 1 to 1 of mtg but a close proximity and not like there isn’t a client of mtg in the way of Arena. The main issue I’ve had is errors that have occurred while in a match (the player’s hand disappearing and being unable to play any new cards) not the worse in one off pvp matches with no direct outcome (problem when playing an event though) but frequent enough that I’ve decided to stop playing the game for the moment..Version: 1.00.01

✓ Better than hearthstoneOverall everything about the game is good, I do have a few issues when you want to swap your deck you literally have to go edit your deck to swap your deck, should be a easier way to just swap your deck with your characters. Some of the legendary cards seem to powerful and not balanced like sisters of death. Some legendary cards are not powerful enough. ✓ It’s differentI do enjoy the game, but the comical whimsical. It really takes the serious and intense atmosphere of MtG. Also the faces of the characters in the portrait animations, I cannot take them seriously anymore. I’m not so sure why they decided to make it like Hearthstone, honestly the original MtG is far better. I give it 4 not 5 because I like the MTG setting, and the game isn’t bad. ✓ My favourite game of the last 10 yearsI have played many games on my iPad since they were available and this is certainly in my top 3 of all time. You do not need to understand the world of Magic the gathering, as in my opinion, it is a much easier game to pick up and play, however it will take you months to master all of the different characters, tactics and playing styles. I was lucky enough to test out the game on Beta and it has just recently been launched. Therefore please ignore any “game crash” comments from a while ago, as it just referred to early testing and to the developers credit, they have removed all of the glitches before going live. ✓ Magic the Gathering fans will love this!I just recently got into Magic: the Gathering a few months ago. I play Magic Arena as well, and recently found this app. It’s a nice twist on a classic game! It is similar but also different to the classic Magic game; damage does not heal at the end of your turn, cards have different abilities but it is still a ton of fun! This game kind of put a personality to a card (Ashiok is WAY more cool to me now) so that to me is also special. Try this app, you won’t regret it!.Version: 0.22

But the theatrics between games is a huge time eater. I don’t have a lot of time to play as it is. I looked through settings and there is no way to turn them off. ✓ Tips For NewcomersI have played this game for 4 months now and what makes me love it very much is that It isn’t a pay to win game. No matter the level you are there isn’t restriction to getting just any card you want. The thing people need to understand is they will NEED patience, because there is items required to craft cards. You can get up to 2-3 card packs a day just playing and doing quests. If there is cards you aren’t pulling from packs but really want, you craft them. Crafting requires being in a “clan/alliance”. You request crafting items then wait 8 hours to request again. You also get crafting items from duplicate cards, once you have two of a card type it becomes “duplicate” afterwards. The Game is difficult at times but in the end it is based on the skill and knowledge of the opponent. They might have more experience than you or they might have a better hand than you. Just breathe, it is a game and it can make me rage but I will always come back to this game. Practice, understand your cards, get use to planeswalkers play styles. You got this..Version: 1.04

I’ve lost countless games (enough to come write this review) due to an error that makes me lose my entire hand while the opponent can still play theirs. ✓ Best thing to happen to MagicThe biggest issue I’ve had about MTG (been playing since Beta) has been mana screw or clump. You can have the best deck out there and doesn’t matter if the mana gods don’t smile on you. This is how MTG should have been made. It’s fun, easy to play if you just want a casual solo game (the AI needs a lot of work), and not a money pit (as MTG has become). In fact I have all the cards and Spellslingers only after a month of playing. Also they actively try to balance the cards with every update. Keep up the good work. ✓ Really FunThis game is awesome. The games are very quick paced and simple. I have one suggestion however, the character models in the lobby look kinda funky and weird. It’s not so much that I can’t play the game without laughing, but Nissa looks like she’s seen some things. The one that bothers me the most is Ral. He looks like he just committed a crime and is trying to act natural. These are fine though, I’m not trying to govern how you guys design your characters, but it’s just my personal opinion. Also, I don’t know how you guys add new Spellslingers, if you have a list or what, but I would like to see Tibalt as a Spellslinger.
