The Room Two+ for Negative User Reviews

Game is okay, bad storylineFeels like it’s imitating stranger things on the style of some of the effects. A completely useless effort imo. The paper notes you find are also not useful besides one time. Clues don’t necessarily make sense with where you are in the game and can’t move on to the next one if the one presented doesn’t make sense. Quite frustrating..Version: 1.0

EXTREMELY Demonic.I really wish I could say I enjoyed this game but honestly.. I find myself dissatisfied and regretting the time spent. The entire play-through took about 2 hours in one sitting (I don’t claim to be the sharpest tool in the shed, I definitely took advantage of those hints) The amount of demonic influence was extremely clear though with all of the symbols and grotesque imagery hiding in every dark corner, as well the “Seance” sequence that included tarot cards and ghosts, which left me feeling disturbed. I know some people go looking for that feeling, and if that’s you, you really might enjoy this game, but personally, for such a fluid escape room style game with such easily accessible hints, and otherwise well done game construction, I was disappointed that the experience defaulted to being frightening and unsettling. This really could have gone so many other directions and been even more interesting, without leaving the player feeling as though they’ve sold a bit of their soul. Please, Developers, do better..Version: 1.0

CrashesI got to the second room got bear to the end and the game crashed and I lost all progress and had to start again. Then just as I was about to complete the first room it crashed again and I now have to start again….. It’s a really good puzzle game but shame that it crashes and I have to restarted from begging.Version: 1.0

Love the game playUpdate, I remove this stars I set it to 1. Even with the progress that wasn’t saved I tried again to start over. Took some time there is no option to speed up animation. I use the quit option to make sure my progress was saved. Then I go to the second room and it crashed again. Guess where I started again? First room, with only a tiny bit of progress. That game has a great potential and I love the concept. But it’s super frustrating to start all over again. I tried 5 times and it crashed on second room but in different places. I’m an iOS dev I know it can be tough sometimes but it’s really frustrating as a player. I really like that game. It’s unique and super interesting. I’m quite sad though that the app crashed when I was on the second room almost finishing it and now I have to start all over agin my progress wasn’t save along the way :(.Version: 1.0

Game play is too linearLoved the graphics and sound effects. There was a particularly unexpected scarey moment in the chapter with the card table - never had that happen in an app before (that’s good btw). But...Pretty simple and linear game play. It’s like I’d find an object, put it in a really obvious spot that would open something else up revealing another object that also went in an extremely obvious spot. There was rarely more than one item in my inventory at one time. The parts that were difficult were so bc the required action involved finding something that was in an awkward spot to see on screen if you weren’t looking on the right angle (not bc it required logic). You need several things going on at once that could have several possible solutions to make it more challenging. And throw in a few red herrings and some dud objects too. If I hadn’t accidentally subscribed to Apple Arcade I wouldn’t have played it. Am trying to get my money’s worth..Version: 1.0

Great, but crashes. The game keeps crashing every time I get to the chapter with the cannon and small ship..Version: 1.0

Great puzzles. Confusing StoryI really wanted to give this 3.5 as I truly did enjoy it but it’s not without it’s flaws. Too dark (had to have ipad brightness up full to see what was going on). Story, if there is one, is too confusing. I never really understood what I was doing. Lots of zooming in and spinning the room round, which didn’t always work as intended or give you a free flowing feel. A few times you couldn’t really see what you were supposed to be looking at as you couldn’t turn fully toward it. There were a lot of letters to read, they didn’t have purpose and were just very random ramblings. Ultimately I didn’t know who I was or why I was doing it but it worked because it was so linear. Glad it was part of apple arcade, I wouldn’t have paid for this..Version: 1.0
