Pokémon Sleep for Negative User Reviews

Good but feels slow…Pokémon Sleep is the opposite of Pokemon GO but that doesn’t make it any less fun! It’s helped me with actually getting to bed on time and at a reasonable time but in my opinion the game feels “slow”. The UI/UX that is, so many loading screens and you’ll have to confirm everything you do by pressing endless okay, confirm, next and back buttons. In between 80% of these clicks you’ll get a loading screen and that makes the game feel slow. Otherwise the game is fine, many of the features in Pokemon Sleep are paid features on other sleep apps so that’s definitely a win. It just needs a UI/UX overhaul..Version: 1.0.16

Needs smartwatch support!Sync with apple health.Version: 1.0.1

Major BugUnfortunately won’t be able to enjoy the Valentine’s (and wasn’t able for the majority of Week 2 of Lapis Lakeside) as it refuses to let me go to sleep and track the data. When I put Snorlax to bed, it comes up with text along these lines: “an unknown error has occurred. Please restart the app”. I do this, multiple times, with or without incense, to no avail. I’ve restarted my phone, too, and am now considering (hopefully being able to) back up my data, and un-installing the app entirely. The main appeal of the app is moot because of this, and my poor mons are sleep deprived. Please fix this ASAP..Version: 1.2.0

Very slow unless you pay for itI like to concept of the game, but the limitations put in place for F2P players is very punishing. The lack of biscuits in relations to how many Pokémon you see and the amount it takes to befriend a single one makes the potential time it might take to get Pokémon into your team crazy and the price of biscuits in the store just isn’t worth it. They need to give players access to more biscuits and make the candy needed for level ups and evolutions lower too..Version: 1.0.3

PLEASE add more sleep noisesGreat game and I love how easy and fun it is to use. Only thing that genuinely makes me almost not use it is the fact it only plays one sound for sleep. Usually I listen to white noise or other things to help me get to sleep so this actually makes it more difficult. I’ll be holding out for more sounds!.Version: 1.0.5

ImpracticalThis game won't let me listen to music or sleep sounds while playing, the game makes you listen to silence and the 'relaxing sounds' don't even work! is it even worth it for the in game rewards if i cant get a good sleep?.Version: 1.0.1

Issues with Sleep CyclesThis app is fun in more ways than one. However… whilst trying to fill out your Pokédex, find shiny Pokémon and evolve your Pokémon, there is one massive issue - and that’s the ‘it seems this is your second sleep cycle today’ warning that genuinely frustrates me. I suffer with less what could be considered a normal or healthy sleep cycle. Some days I might sleep at 1:00 and wake up at 6:00, others from 4:00 to 14:00 and everything in between. The aggravating messages that crop up telling me it’s my second sleep cycle of the day, despite me having only slept once and therefore locking me to only 1-3 hours of research for the same day is horrendous. Remove this feature and would give it a 5 Star rating, but until you cater towards people with irregular and disturbed sleeping patterns, it’s not great..Version: 1.0.9

Sleep tracker needs a fixI’ve been using the game for awhile now but I’ve noticed some inconsistencies with the tracker’s estimates; I always wake up at 7am but the tracker will sometimes say “Nope, we estimated that you woke up at 12/1am and therefore stopped tracking even though the tracker is still open and recording you sleeping”. I’ve had multiple nights like that, causing me to lose progress that I deserve/earned and the only thing I can do is manually put in the sleep data but I get nothing for it.Version: 1.0.11

Technical IssuesThe app is fine for the most part, but with the most recent update, a bug pops up that leaves me unable to actually record any sleep data, meaning that I have to enter it manually the next morning. This started happening yesterday. Please fix..Version: 1.2.0

My battery health gone really badThe game play is really nice and fun to find a Pokémon while you sleep BUT leaving the phone charged made my phone's battery gone really fast from 80% battery health to 78% within weeks. Sometimes when I got up, my phone was SUPER hot. It's very dangerous if the phone is under the pillow and can cause the fire. Now, I've just changed the new battery which cost me over hundred dollars and decided to uninstall the app 😩.Version: 1.0.6

Keeps crashing.I have really enjoyed this game but ever since a month ago it has been crashing so much so that it hardly records my sleep anymore and I can barely feed my snorlax. I missed out on a ton of holiday content due to it. Which makes me very sad as I have spent money on the app as well. Please developers fix this. And I have done all the recommendations that the help line has given me and none of it helped..Version: 1.0.16

Won’t work for my lifestyleAs someone who lives sleeping and Pokémon, I was very excited for this app’s release. However, I’ve been unable to use it due to the lack of ability to run in the background. I can only fall asleep when listening to podcasts and other background noise, and the inability to do that while the app is running has meant I’ve been unable to log/record any log at all. Improving this functionality would greatly allow me to actually use and enjoy the app.Version: 1.0.4

Still frustrated.I know the goal is to have good sleeping habits, but it’s particularly annoying when I forget to start tracking one night, wake up a couple hours after falling asleep, starting a session then, and then being unable to track my full night’s sleep when I go to bed on time and remember to start the app. Appreciate the shortening of the animations or allowing to skip at least before going to sleep (hence 2 stars instead of 1), but tracking sleep sessions is frustrating because a 24 hour timer prevents me from getting credit for my full night’s sleep. Especially when it happens on the “good sleep” nights that happen once a month. I suppose I’m supposed to just miss the whole night of sleep and add it in after, despite it yielding much less benefit than if I were to start tracking in the middle of the night and actually get something out of it. Feels like kind of a backhand for wanting the benefits of the sleep I’m actually getting, but missing because I forgot to start the app. I’d be willing to pay for a feature that allowed me to just import the sleep tracking that my Apple Watch already does for me. I’d forget to put my Apple Watch on significantly less often than I forget to start the sleep tracking. It may not look as good because the sleep tracking would be more accurate, but at least I wouldn’t miss out on the benefits of the game..Version: 1.0.11

Cute, but frustratingThe amount of times this app has closed on me during the night makes it almost useless. If I didn’t pay for the extra add-ons in the yearly plan, such as the ability to add sleep data, then this app would be useless, and that’s not ok. I’m almost tempted to ask for a refund and delete it. If it closes by accident during the night, then I no longer have an alarm, which has happened on a few occasions. I made the mistake of not setting a back up once, and was late for work. I haven’t been able to discover new sleep styles or make any sense of progress, because either the app closed during the night, there’s an update, my phone died, or the app wouldn’t recognize any sleep and won’t count the hours. Also, just for using the app’s sake, here’s an issue I noticed: any time you actually do manage a successful sleep, but there’s an update- you get halfway through your sleep report before having to download the update, to then having to re-do the entirety of your sleep report. It’s a waste of time every time. If you enjoy Pokémon, then you’ll enjoy this app. But eventually you’ll get bored of how little progress you get to make, because this app still needs a lot of work. Or at least, I did. I’m giving it a while longer, because clearly a lot of passion went into this app, and the team is constantly updating it. I can see it actually making sleep, something typically so mundane, something exciting. Especially for young kids. As it stands, this app has been more frustrating than fun..Version: 1.1.0

Nice Sleep Tracker! With a few minor problems…This is on it’s way to becoming the next popular Pokémon game, but they’re are some minor things I want to point out. First, the app doesn’t work without internet, but you can turn off the internet after starting your sleep session, and turn it off before ending your sleep session if your worried about that. When you are on a vacation is somewhere with no signal for more than 30 hours, than you can’t track your sleep. A positive thing to point out is that if you forgot to track your sleep data for one night, then you have 30 hours to recover your sleep data. Second of all, if you forgot to plug in your phone at night, then the app uses lots of battery. A lot of sleep apps that I know of only uses 30% battery at night, while this app might use that in an hour! If you charge your phone at night, though, then you’ll be fine. Thirdly, the premium subscription is way too expensive, so think about whether you need it or not before buying it. Finally, on the App Store, this says that this is a simulation game, but this is actually a health and fitness game. I would recommend changing the category to that on the App Store. Pokémon sleep is still a great app to use though, if your fine with all of the stuff that I mentioned!.Version: 1.0.11

Frequent inconvenient app updates.Updates are frequent and when you’re located in North America they take place at inconvenient times like 8pm and last until 12:30am..Version: 1.2.0

Expensive and lackingIt’s cute but after playing since launch I’m not impressed. Everything costs too much in either game currency, resources or real money. The subscription price is ridiculous for what you get. Having a single basic biscuit worth two nights of sleep tracking is crazy. No seasonal events yet aside from getting a couple free basic items for 6 days. I just can’t believe how skimpy this game is if you don’t pay to win. The limited variety of Pokémon and things you can do with them is starting to get really tiring. Catching, levelling and evolving Pokémon is about as slow going as all the redundant animations and UI loading times. I just want this game to feel fun and rewarding lol.Version: 1.0.10

Fire hazard????To use this app, you need to keep your phone screen turned on while plugged in charging and laying face down on your mattress overnight. This is an easy recipe for phones overheating and starting a house fire. (And I can tell your from 15 minutes of testing, this app makes my phone get HOT). There HAS to be a better way to do this that doesn’t literally put people in danger. Surprised this app even got released with this genuine safety hazard in it’s main feature..Version: 1.0.0

Nerve wrecking Go plus plusI cannot justify the fact the sleep tracking with the 50£ accessory is stopped by pressing the main big button on it. This keeps causing me to record short sleep sessions as I inadvertently press the button while I’m sleeping, making my actual sleep worse by the day. This is a serious overlook that needs fixing. Perfectly ok to start sleep tracking with that button but they need to change the trigger to stop the sleep tracking to the small top button or just make it a slightly more complicated press of the main button e.g. three quick presses. You’re welcome.Version: 1.0.4

I wanted to like this game.1) I am using the pokemon go plus + I ordered for $60 to track my sleep. It appears to know that i slept form 9pm to 6:30am, but for whatever reason it keeps calculating it to 4 hours of sleep. I dont know if it was the interns job to do calculations for this or something but for whatever reason it only captures the time slept from 9am -12am, I am guessing that someone did the math wrong. The app still says i slept from 9pm to 6am, but it doesn't know how to calculate that correctly. 2) Not being able to connect your smart watch is a missed opportunity and will be the reason this fails. Im sorry but the dumb button is not good enough to track your sleep and the app fails to calculate sleep correctly anyways. The whole gimmick here is that it can track your sleep and give you data, but if that data is useless there really is no point to the game. Its cute, but the cuteness wears off and the app is just not practical. With the data being poor and the inability to add your watch to track the game, it is basically shovelware meant for you to spend your hard earned money on micro transactions to get cookies to catch different pokemon. In conclusion, dont buy the Pokémon go plus +, and be prepared to be disappointed by the poor performance of this game. I know it hasn't been out for long but it seems like a lot of work is needed to get this game to a point where its worth playing..Version: 1.0.2

Pretty badI have only been playing for two days now, but I find it suspicious that I’ve slept exactly 4 hours and 2 minutes on both days. The rest of the time is just untracked data, so I ‘must be awake’ right? The tracking doesn’t make sense. The first night l slept a good eight hours with my phone next to me in a nice quiet room. The next night it rained pretty hard and it was super loud and noisy, so I was very curious what my results would be when I woke up. Would it think I was snoring or something? Nope, once again 4h and 2min. I am vey disappointed, since the point of the game is to encourage you to get enough sleep..Version: 1.0.1

Good game lost dataRecently my phone was wiped to solve a technical issue and I cannot log into my original account because I didn’t realize I needed all these IDs kinds stupid months of game play down the drain 😒.Version: 1.0.14

LiesWhy is this number 1 in “top free games” when it literally says “This app hasn’t received enough rating or reviews to display a summary”.. so not enough to display a summary but enough to skyrocket to apparently the number 1 spot for all free games for iPhone? Why not just rename the category “Games that paid us the most for advertisement” since that’s obviously what’s going on, and it has nothing to do with what’s popular or well reviewed..Version: 1.0.0

Game features are fun but not reliable for sleep trackingI got this more for the game features, but don’t think advertising as a sleep tracking is truthful. The app doesn’t track sleep well, as long as it is in running in sleep mode it thinks your asleep even when you are not. It definitely regularly records my dog snoring and assumes it me. You cannot use other apps for noise while using without it kicking out of the sleep mode. I have anxiety and adhd so noise is a big part of nightly routine and helping me fall asleep and stay asleep. I generally have noise that turns off on a sleep timer to help me calm down and fall asleep that not possible with to do that if so need run the noise on my phone and run this app. I could purchase another device but I personally don’t like hauling a bunch of devices if I can do it all with one. I also don’t feel the app is accurate because it doesn’t sense that much motion and it not taking heart or oxygen rates into consideration. Which is acceptable for game but not something advertised for sleep tracking. I also agree the app cause the phone to run warmer which is also a concern since it is recommended the phone needs to be on next to you on a soft surface. While fires started by devices are less common now there still is a risk factor. I think many of the obstacles could be overcome and I hope future updates will address these issues..Version: 1.0.10

Deleting sleep data????There’s been two nights where my sleep data was deleted in the morning, irritating. The first time my sleep data was deleted because the app forced me to update it when I woke up and the second time it couldn’t connect to the internet so it timed me out and deleted the data again…why doesn’t the app save the data even when it’s been closed fully and still show me when it’s been opened again..Version: 1.0.6

Terrible customer supportTerrible customer support, not help with lost data. Rude customer service Nova lady..Version: 1.0.4

DisappointedIf you have a white noise maker, listen to music, or ASMR to fall asleep forget it. Even with headphones on the game can’t tell the difference. I was really liking this game except for the fact that if you played any sort of music or video to fall asleep to other than the ones in the app it doesn’t record your sleep. I was a little bummed but whatever, it still records a sleep duration and you can still play most of the game. Or so I thought. For your length of sleep you get a “sleep score” and that is how many “sleep points” you get for free use in the general store. I don’t know if they just start you with so many I didn’t notice for the first month or if it worked and then broke in an update but I am never awarded “sleep points”. The game works by recording the sounds/movement you make when you sleep so I get it not wanting to record if there music playing except, I’m wearing headphones! AND I’m still being given a sleep score! Support pretty much said that if the app is in the background it’s completely non-functional. If it is the active app it mutes anything else that was playing. So if you can’t fall asleep to the few soothing Pokemon tunes that are available, or complete silence, move on..Version: 1.1.0

Bad & greedyPuts inventory at a pay wall. You’re punished for wanting to reserve some items. You get the free in game currency very rarely and it’s not enough to pay for anything (including Pokémon storage and your item box). They had a recent event where you had to check the general store every day to grab an item that was 0 diamonds. I missed this event the whole week because I didn’t realize it was every day and there was no notification dot or indication that there was anything free to grab from the general store. It forces you to check it on your own and puts you in the habit of going into the store to hopefully make purchases. It’s predatory and disgusting and I’m annoyed. Why wouldn’t y’all just send free rewards in the mail for us to claim when WE want to or something like a login bonus/stamp card? It’s DUMB that you don’t have a notification dot or indication for free items. It makes me think that you don’t want us to have them in the first place. Which is why inventory is behind a pay wall. I cancelled my membership and I wish I could refund the $200 I spent on this game. Don’t bother with this app, use a real sleep tracking app instead of this game that pretends to be “healthy”. No real healthy app promoting real good health would be as cash grabby and predatory as this..Version: 1.0.10

You can literally build a Watch app for monitoring sleep onlyBut you choose to leave the app on entire night with microphone, bunch of sensors etc. Pure battery killer..Version: 1.0.5

It’s okay but not accurateIt’s a decent game, I mostly play cause I like the sounds of records however it only records 10. That being said the game is a glitchy mess. It’s not even slightly accurate as far as sleep tracking I can tell using my watch, but it says I wake up HOURS before I am awake, and hours before I click “wake up” in the app. It also is saying I’m taking more than an hour to fall asleep when my watch and my body disagree. Some days it freezes when I feed snorlax, then it acts as if I fed him and my ingredients are gone but he didn’t gain any power, some days when I should have leveled up it’s stuck. Currently I’ve been lvl 15 for 3 days even though the bar has been full. It could be a lot better, but as it is now it’s not great. Maybe some Apple Watch compatibility could help. I do leave the game open next to me like it says to, but that doesn’t seem to help at all either. Also the sounds don’t work right. Sometimes I’m in silent mode and it makes noise, other times I have silent mode off and it DOESN’T make sound. Game is a mess..Version: 1.0.6

Too expensiveI know this is Pokemon but this game is way to expensive to play. The premium pass doesn’t seem worth $50 dollars every 6 months and $100 dollars a year for what you get from the premium pass. On top of that the amount of sleep points you earn per night is not enough to be able to get biscuits or food items when you’ve run out. I think it’s nice that we get one free biscuit but since the game allows two sleep sessions you should be able to get one free biscuit per sleep session. Also getting 3 gifts every 3 months for the premium pass is also silly I guess that’s to try to push the 5 month subscription vs the monthly one. The game is cute and fun and I know it’s not meant to be rushed it’s a sleeping game, however it’s way to slow paced and again, hard to keep up with the demands of the game like feeding your snorlax when you run out of ingredients so fast and aren’t able to gather them fast enough. Also not being able to encounter certain Pokémon due to your sleep style isn’t fair to people who might have sleeping disorders. At least make an item that attracts certain Pokémon from each sleep style..Version: 1.0.5

Sound doesn’t work. It’s silentI hope they fix this soon. The sound is not existent, I checked and it’s not my phone and it’s not my settings. On iPhone SE. The only sound the game will make is if I select “relaxing sounds” during a sleep session. The relaxing sounds is a lullaby version of the Pokémon centre theme on repeat. Gets annoying after the first couple repeats. I’m sure this issue is unintentional so I’m hoping I bring some awareness with this review.Version: 1.0.5

No Apple Watch support…Putting a charging phone on the surface of my bed each night is not gonna work for me. Luckily I have an Apple Watch. Unluckily, it’s not supported..Version: 1.0.6

没有任何诚意的作品升级后bug频出,不会做app可以不要做.Version: 1.0.9

Good concept has trouble recording sleepI do enjoy this, there isn’t too much to do, that said this would be rated higher maybe to four if it would record my whole sleep session properly as the best amount I’ve had recorded is 1hr 30. I have used three times and sleep longer than that..Version: 1.0.4

I want to love itUnfortunately there's just too many things I find frustrating & disappointing after using the app for almost a month, the menus/UI are STILL super confusing to navigate and laggy to me. it's also not friendly to people like me who have inconsistent sleep schedules due to work/insomnia. In a single week I could work 3 night shifts, 2 evening shifts, and 1 day shift, so I don't go to bed at the same time therefore I'm not eligible for the daily rewards. and don't even think about sleeping for longer than 9 hours at a time. AT LEAST once a week I've had my entire sleep voided because the app decided 9+ hours was too long to sleep. Sometimes it'll cut several hours from my sleep, but usually it voids the entire sleep time altogether..Version: 1.0.5

App runs horribly and $75 peripheral is a scamAs title says, app runs miserably at best; slow loading screens, even slower animations to bloat time spent in app, and sleep tracking requires phone be next to your head while sleeping or use their peripheral. Only thing is that they don’t tell you the peripheral cannot account for more than one person sleeping in the bed, doesn’t start tracking your sleep until you are in deep sleep for ~10minutes, and can be turned off accidentally with far too much ease. Save your time and get Sleep Cycle for your sleep tracking, and get a proper Pokémon game to play instead of trying to enjoy this dog water app.Version: 1.0.14

Fun but buggy and the microtransactions are way too expensiveI used one of those gift incenses that guarantees one pokémon will be hungry when you wake up and it activated on a pokémon that was already one biscuit away from maxing friendship :/ That incense costs 150 of the paid currency (diamonds), which is $7.20 minimum in AUD - if I had used money on that I would’ve been a lot angrier!.Version: 1.0.6

Enjoy this game. Don’t enjoy being late for work because of it.Have really enjoyed my time on this game. Have been playing it since release every night. However, 5 times now the alarm I have set in game has not gone off causing me to be late for work! It seems to also silence my phones alarm since the last 4 times this has happened I have also set a phone alarm as well as the Pokémon sleep alarm. I don’t know if this is because Pokémon sleep thinks I need more sleep so it silences them but it’s awful and could loose me my job if that’s the case! Please fix this so that alarms are alarms and actually work 100% of the time..Version: 1.0.14

Inflexible cash grabThe game seems simple enough. Feed your snorlax, sleep well, and collect the cute Pokémon you see along the way. But to see more and rarer Pokémon, you need to raise your snorlax’s score by feeding it a constant stream of berries which can be done at any point, as well as 3 square meals a day. While it gives you a six hour window to do this, once before noon, once before 6PM, and once before 6AM, between the ingredient number requirements and the fact that you can’t alter these rigid times to fit your schedule, you’re going to find yourself at 12:30 or 6:45 cursing at yourself because you were trying to hold back until you had more ingredients and now entirely missed your window. Add in that if you have a weird sleep schedule, the game may count your sleep towards the next day’s progression, the fact that the game refuses to work outside of what it considers a decent schedule and also expects you to play at least three times a day will make this game go from cute and simplistic to just plain annoying fast. Add in that the game has not just microtransactions for an in game currency used to buy extra inventory slots, but also an optional monthly subscription that lets you access a store that lets you buy the game’s equivalent of a Great Ball, and you have something that just feels more like an insulting cash grab geared towards kids than other related games in the franchise..Version: 1.0.9

No valid sleep session detectedDisappointed. After a nap, a full nights sleep and another nap I can report that it didn’t detect a thing. The first nap I slept with the tv on in my bed and I think the TV negated it? I have an ocean sound machine for nights and again zero sleep session detected? I also had a nap today with my partner and again no sleep session detected. Guess it only works if you have nothing on in your room and sleep alone? 😔 Also for some reason at 2am it says “this is your second sleep session today” or something along those lines. Why doesn’t this app reset at midnight? So stupid..Version: 1.0.4

It’s fine but maybe wait to download in a year when things are better!First couple of days, everything is new and exciting. 3 weeks in, getting boring already. Same Pokémon turn up, can’t always add one towards your team due to either not enough cookies, or them being full, and the bar to be able to your team, isn’t full. On top, it doesn’t seem to track amazingly well. It just does whatever times it wants for tracking. This morning was the final straw. Woke up at 8.35 am ish, and it decided I’d woke up at 6.15 and didn’t track about 2 hours. Happened like every other day, just does what it wants..Version: 1.0.5

Lost AccountI’ve been using the app since last Wednesday I believe so it’s been about 5 days of using the app & there was a recent update with the game. I tried to use the sleep feature last night but it said there was maintenance so it said I could still sleep with maintenance on so I did but I usually scroll through my phone for a bit before I fall asleep. I tried to go back into the app & it closed out the app which is fine.. was waiting for it to restart & I could not get past the screen with snorlax & it says “tap to continue” I just closed the app and went to sleep thinking it would be by the next morning. I woke up today still the same problem. I deleted the app & reinstalled hoping that would fix it & once I tried to transfer my existing data over with 2 shiny Pokémon in it.. it said there was no existing data found. So basically I lost all my progress in the game & it annoyed me so I just gave up . I don’t know if it was cause of the “bug fixes” update or whatnot but I lost everything I got & even put money into the game too so I wonder where all that went.. very disappointed & irritated by that outcome..Version: 1.0.2

Good at what it does but some design flawsI genuinely think this is good at tracking sleep but overall some genuine design issues. When using the phone you risk it falling off the bed which happened to me and cracked my charger and the Pokémon go plus + is not an option for me because that also would fall off the bed and never be seen again as well as I own a ferret which would stash the super small piece of tech and it would never be seen again but not everyone does so that’s just a me and a few select people problem. They haven’t taken into account people who move and fidget a lot in their sleep and hit and kick things around them. I tend to move my arms and hands a lot and roll a bunch which is what caused my phone to fall and crack my charger. Honestly I’m happy I’m able to track my sleep and play Pokémon at the same time but those issues needs to be addressed which those could be a massive turn off for lots of people. If they made it to where you could put it on the nightstand or pair with an Apple Watch or something that attaches to the wrist that would be better than a little disc that would be sent into the depths of under the bed. Edit: fully broke a charger, absolutely needs to be able to be paired to a smartwatch..Version: 1.0.4

Just not worth playingWas exited to have this game as it’s seems very cute. However, it doesn’t track properly and stops tracking all together if there is too much noise happening around you. It has only tracked at most half of my sleep each night as there is noise made outside my house or I moved too much for it in my sleep and I’ve been told that I do move a lot in my sleep. This leads to my Pokémons being tired all the time and getting less rewards and points. Also when I want to add my sleeping time manually it’s such a hassle because there is constantly something wrong with the information I enter like when I say I started to sleep on the 22nd and woke up on the 23rd the game just tells me that the time went to sleep is in the future… like what. Don’t like that you also have to have the phone on and on the bed for it to actually track your sleep if you don’t want to but the Pokémon go plus +..Version: 1.0.1

Horrendously overpricedThe game itself is okay, as a sleep tracker moderate, there is little opportunity to catch Pokémon as you only sleep once per day, and they can be terrible what you do catch and unusable. The worst is the not so micro micro transactions, whenever they release a new box as a milestone has been hit it costs 3000 gems, thats £40 worth of gems?!?! No chance is that fair or reasonable, the cheaper box doesn't include anything useful but the bigger box is more of essentials to be able to actually befriend any Pokémon, so to play, every time theres a milestone they want £40, and that doesn't include the subscription price they want you to pay. They’ve overpriced it by double what it should be, you can get a full priced Pokémon game for what ot would cost you to play this effectively for one month, and the dlc included!!!!!! Such a shame as it has potential.Version: 1.0.8

A lot wrong hereIm just gonna get right into my problems with this game - not being able to just keep your phone on a nightstand or something and having to keep it plugged in on your mattress all night sounds like a ridiculous fire hazard, honestly a little surprised that a game that tells you to do that was able to release - I understand why changing your bed time in the game resets your daily streak, but I and probably most other people go to sleep at a different time in the weekend then during the week? I don’t wanna be punished for that - game doesn’t even work super well, apparently. Last night I put the game on and went to sleep, when I woke up at least six hours later the in-game clock was six whole hours behind the actual time, and on clicking to end the sleep session it told me I hadn’t slept for the minimum 90 minutes This game has a really cool concept and could be good eventually but oh man it has so many problems right now.Version: 1.0.1

Bro I think it nearly bricked my phoneAfter the last update it’s started rebooting my phone and for a minute my phone was just stuck trying to turn itself on but failing. It’s fine now but legit scared me for a second. The app is fine and has given me an actual sleep schedule, but I think I’ll have to wait until the next patch to use it again..Version: 1.0.6

For a game all about sleeping, it would be good if devs knew a day starts at 12am. Not 4AM!!That’s right, the sleep progress RESETS at 4am in my time zone (UK.) As a result of this, I lose rewards. If I wake up at 6am, which I do on work days, I only get 2 hours of rewards from sleeping. Everything before 4AM is reset because “The day starts at 4am and finishes at 3:59am” seriously? The devs haven’t programmed time zones, and I am being penalised for their programming incompetence. Am I supposed to cheat on the game to get same rewards as people in different time zones that aren’t in West/North Europe? What message are the developers sending? It would be fine if this was all free. But I have spent £50 on a device for this. Please do not buy the device if you are in Europe until the developers fix this issue. I expect a reply from developers otherwise this truthful review will not get edited..Version: 1.0.16

Edited due to updates: Sleep disorder accommodations? Inaccurate? Sound? There are 3 things that are major flaws imo and make it unusable. Which really sucks because I was looking forward to it. 1. You cannot turn off the apps music and play your own sound. I, like many people, need specific music/sounds to sleep (white noise, cicadas or frogs, enya, meditation, ASMR, etc). 2. Inaccuracies are frustrating—- I sleep in bed with a spouse. My spouse has regular sleep and my sleep disorder actually affects his results. And him waking early in the morning affects mine. Is this only for single bed users? 3. Sleep disorders—- I have narcolepsy. I was hoping to low key use this app for tracking (to see if there’s any consistency for my nightmares, insomnia, and random sleep)…. But it’ll only track “two sleeps” a day and it has to be 90mins consistency. It gives rewards for meeting bedtimes. It goes without saying, being consistent is great and ideal, but for many it’s not possible. Rather than rewarding and grading based on generalizations, it should be calculated to the individuals. A good sleep for me is different than a good sleep for my partner. And sleep disorders exist. I kinda hope the game makes a few technical changes. I’m optimistic about it’s potential. A game about sleep should be catered to sleep. 🖤💤💤😴 (otherwise, this game is adorable. I glad I can finally play due to update).Version: 1.0.10

Cute but awful controlsI love the app, it’s incredibly cute and offers a free version of what many other sleep apps charge money more (most notable the alarm that tries to wake you up during the light parts of your sleep cycle so you don’t interrupt a deep sleep and wake up tired) HOWEVER: The controls are simply awful. If you thought you could just swipe across the screen to look around and view your camp, check on your pokemon and cook for snorlax, get ready to frantically swipe your screen, because for SOME reason, the scroll speed is less than half of your typical 1:1 swipe and scroll ratio. I don’t know if they did this to make the scrolling more “smooth” (if anything it only made it choppier because i have so much trouble scrolling around the camp) or if they did it to make it more “lazy” and “sleepy” but i would like to simply be able to log on, set my timer so i can go to bed reasonably fast, and be able to wake up and tend to the pokemon quickly so I can start my day and get to work. But for some reason i have to swipe around 3x more than i would on any other app just to look around and scroll up and down. And collecting berries from pokemon? Good luck, because sometimes the game lets you swipe the pile of berries to gather them, but MOST of the time it just scrolls the camera instead! So you have to TAP. EACH. INDIVIDUAL. BERRY. TO PICK THEM UP..Version: 1.0.4

Fun appIt would be great to connect Apple Watch & connect health data. Would be a much better way to use the app & especially safe. I also like falling asleep to podcasts. I struggled first few nights until I found a podcast app I could use on my watch since I couldn’t close the sleep app to be able to listen to sounds from a different app. Very annoying.Version: 1.0.3

Is your sleep less than perfect? This game hates you personally.TLDR: Pokémon Sleep doesn’t care that disordered sleep exists and if you suffer from it, the game is *actively designed* to be less fun and engaging because of it. I have spent 421hrs sleeping along with this app. And in those 421hrs I have slumbered. I am just a slumbering girl and I cannot change that about myself. I have sleep-related disorders and am getting the healthiest and most regular sleep of my life, but the experience of this app remains underwhelming at best and unfun at worst because of how my individual human body works. And that’s incredibly disappointing! Pokémon Sleep actively punishes players who have particular sleeping patterns, or at least puts us at a severe disadvantage and ultimately makes the game unfun. I have seen the same dang Pokémon over and over again, and there is literally nothing I can do to change that. I keep using this app in the hopes of being able to complete the dex, but after 421hrs I now believe it’s impossible because the game is designed so rigorously around completely impractical and unrealistic expectations about sleeping health. If you have well regulated sleep, congrats and enjoy completing the dex because evidently your experience is the only one that matters to this app’s developers. Pro: Microtransactions are, at the time of writing, entirely avoidable..Version: 1.0.10

Its okayThe concept of the game is cool and all, but you have to spend so much time playing, i was hoping for a more minimal experience rather then spending a large chunk of my morning and night on the phone. Also the sounds still sneak through even if you have all the sound settings set to 0.Version: 1.0.1

Needs better customer supportSo, I had to uninstall and reinstall the game because of one of the bugs that kept crashing my game. Only it turns out this was never linked to any of my accounts and I lost all my progress, including a shiny! But the worse thing is I paid for a 6 month premium pass which is now gone. The game realizes this because I keep getting an error when I visit the page for the pass, despite the game charging me the money again when I reinstalled it! Raised two tickets, over the course of a week, still waiting for a response..Version: 1.0.5

Wake me up when watch support is addedAs a lifelong pokemon fan I was excited to try this app! I’ve now used it every night for over 4 weeks. It’s really cute and I have enjoyed it a lot, and I do think it can be a good app as it continues to be updated. It does seem a bit bare bones at the moment so I’m guessing the devs hopefully have a lot more work they will be doing on it. But I’ve deleted it for now because : 1) I’m not comfortable leaving my phone unlocked and face down all night. Some mornings the phone is pretty hot when I wake up, and I also worry for the longevity of my phone/battery. 2) the cost of the pokemon plus plus is too high at $75CAD, when combined with the app also having micro transactions. Seriously I can buy a mainline Switch console game for almost that much. 3) It seems like micro transactions are really need in this game to get ahead at all. I never have enough ingredients, never have enough biscuits, my helper Pokémon are all exhausted sometimes within just a few hours of waking up, leveling pokemon is so slow with such few candies, etc. I’m not against spending a few bucks here and there to get ingredient tickets, pillows, whistles, rare candies, etc. But not when I also have to spend $75 on the plus plus as well. 4) It does not support any smart watch input. My Apple Watch can track my sleep way more accurately than the methods this app uses and it would save users who have smart watches already from having to purchase the plus plus and maybe make them more open to spending cash on the micro transactions. I will happily redownload the app if smart watch support is ever added, but they want to sell the plus plus devices, so I won’t be holding my breath..Version: 1.0.6

SlowIt takes so long to do everything when you wake up. There’s a mountain of menus to tap through, have to tap all the new sleep styles, have to feed, have to tap through those menus, have to tap each individual Pokémon to get food, have to cook which is a loading screen and there’s ANOTHER pop-up to tap, tap on research community and have to wait for that to load. It’s insane. On the app for 20 mins just to tap through 50 menus. Will probably delete soon because I do not have the patience.Version: 1.0.10

BEWARE! YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR PROGRESSGuys, when you install this app please be aware you should LINK YOUR ACCOUNT to either Google or Facebook before continuing to use it. For some bizarre reason, they do not request this from you during setup. The game is full of many glitches, and some of them are game breaking. I couldn’t switch locations at the end of the week, and so I had no choice but to uninstall the app. This then made me permanently lose my account, which seems absolutely ridiculous for a company of this size. Customer support were completely unprofessional too, made me go through a lot of steps knowing full well I didn’t have my account linked and then told me they couldn’t do it because my account wasn’t linked after a lot of back and forth and hopeful conversation. It’s completely disgusting that a game in which you can spend real money does not automatically ask you to link your account. Please please please be careful before you lose all your progress on your old account, which let’s face it - is probably what they want so you will spend more money on a fresh account..Version: 1.0.8

Very cute appAs a person who loves sleeping apps, I absolutely LOVE this app. It’s so cute and fun! Definitely has some bugs though. One bug I noticed is when it’s snorlax’s meal time, (morning/afternoon/supper), it takes awhile for the app to recognize the time zone. I’ve also had the app crash on me a couple times already and loses the # of hours I’ve slept for the night. & I’m not a fan of keeping my phone on all night, especially when it’s on my mattress/beside my pillow. Super big fire hazard risk. There are other sleeping apps that allow the app to run in the “background” (& on a hard surface) and can still track sleep with the microphone. Lots of potential with this app! Please update it!!.Version: 1.0.1

Not good enough yet but on its wayI love the idea and I enjoy the app when it’s working but the short comings really hurt. The app cannot run in the background or while the phone is locked. It also resets the app if you use another app too long. I woke up to a call on messenger and by the time I was finished, the app had reset and lost all my sleep tracking. You would also expect the app to be able to work of an Apple Watch which already has sleep tracking functions. So while it’s fun and I enjoy waking up to Pokémon, the app still needs some work.Version: 1.0.5

Cute game!Think it works well only if you have the Pokémon Go Plus+ - I’ve got one and for someone who’s struggled with insomnia I’ve trialled all of the Sleep stuff out linked to my PokemonGo so I can get my sleep cap Snorlax + extra stardust every day! Because I’ve wanted to complete those field researches it’s really improved my sleeping habits just in past 7 days. I’m using this app more as a bonus because I’m forever 5 years old and need a Pokémon app to motivate me to sleep better(!) The Sleep game is super cute, but really buggy even after multiple updates, I agree with other users about the extortionate costs for items & boxes (especially if you’re an active PoGo player and you know how much we pay to play on that game majority of the time!) so paying for another game for in-app usage seems OTT. the sleep research element is creative but even after 7 days I’m just getting repeat appearances of Ratatta instead of new interesting Pokémon so think it’s another ploy for you to surrender your cash if you want to see other Pokémon and build up your SleepDex. Won’t be doing that as my main priority is PoGo - so just see this as a nice bonus game if you own the Plus+. It’s borderline just a Tamagotchi game if you don’t have the device and seems like it doesn’t work without it..Version: 1.0.4

2 Stars: Cute game but has many issues…Good things about this game: it’s a fun concept, it’s very cute, gamifies sleep! Bad things: it’s buggy and expensive, you have to pay to upgrade your Pokémon box (the whole point of the game is to collect Pokémon, and like Pokémon Go, you’ll eventually have to fork out to confine to play the game as intended), the loading screens that appear when opening different UI menus are disgustingly long, I have shorter load screens on Skyrim and next Gen MMOs 🥴 loading screens this lengthy should not happen on a phone game that only has to load a UI 💀 lastly the game is unreliable at doing the very thing it’s supposed to do (… track sleep?) and especially loves choosing to lose data on days when you’ve had a particularly fantastic sleep..Version: 1.0.10

Good game riddled with flawsOk first off, I will say that this app has helped me with getting to bed consistently and waking up feeling refreshed. And some of the pokemon sleep styles are kinda cute. But that’s where my praise ends. For starters, if you are a phone user (like myself), there seems to be an inconsistency when it comes to actually tracking sleep. I have had several nights where that app says I've woken up at like 5:30 or 5 in the morning when in actuality, i wake up at 6 everyday (except on days off where the same problem happens). I tend to be a restless sleeper and thought at first, my problem was bouncing the phone around in my sleep. But since I try to move less now, I still have the same tracking problems, but am now locked into getting exclusively slumbering type styles. Balancing type if I'm lucky enough. I’ve even thought about getting the Go+ device but from the reviews I've read even that has its problems with tracking. If I knew it wouldn’t botch things further, I’d just simply put it on my bed shelf behind me but that’s not the intended way to play. I want to keep playing as full moon sleep and new pokemon are coming soon but this whole not tracking sleep thing is really swaying me towards uninstalling….Version: 1.0.5

Lost Account and Horrendous SupportThe last patch they had wouldn’t update on my phone, multiple times and days I tried. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to force it to update. This worked…And also deleted my PAID SUBSCRIPTION ACCOUNT. I contacted support, got a generic reply, gave them the information they asked for, and waited…over a week and a half. Been paying for a subscription for this game since day one. I have since uninstalled it, unsubscribed, and told all my friends to do the same. Good work Agent_Benji; you cost the company 6 subs and players. Avoid at all costs..Version: 1.0.8

Cute but slow and priceyOverall, it’s been a fun way to enforce regular sleeping habits with a coat of Pokémon branding. The premise is good and I luckily haven’t had any trouble with the sleep tracking and it’s mostly accurate for me (I use my phone face down but I know some people struggle with overheating or inaccurate results). Problem is the game is severely micro-transaction heavy and the game barely provides resources to let you catch Pokémon easily. Without paying, you could go several nights without catching any new Pokémon. This leaves you feeling like you’re not making any actual progress as you haven’t got any new helper Pokémon to show for it. I bought the smallest ‘Release celebration bundle’ but it’s contents lasted all but one night given the insane recruiting requirements for helper Pokémon..Version: 1.0.4

No Apple Watch support?Seems like a pretty obvious inclusion? I use a wireless charger on my nightstand… so I guess I’m just never going to be able to play this game! Sweet!.Version: 1.0.0

Simply doesn’t workThere’s nothing fun about waking up in the morning to see what Pokémon have appeared overnight just for it to tell you there was an error and none of your sleep was recorded. It knows the hours I slept because when I go to manually add my sleep data, the time I fell asleep and woke up are already there, but manually adding your sleep yields nothing other than some energy for your existing Pokémon. I’ve had this game for two weeks and it’s only accurately recorded my sleep on three occasions. It’s a cute concept but it’s rendered unusable when it cannot track sleep data. At the moment, it’s just a berry collecting and cooking game which has nothing to do with sleep..Version: 1.0.4

Cute and fun but one or two serious issuesThis is cute and I was quite enjoying it, but there are two serious issues: one is the lack of consistency in how many cookies it takes before a Pokémon is full, and the other is that if data cannot be saved in any way, even on the same device, without an account attached then it *should not be possible to play without an account attached*. Deleted and reinstalled the app to try and fix a glitch I was having, only to discover that because I never manually connected an external account that the app never gave any indication needed to be manually connected, I have now lost 50+ nights of data and progress. This SHOULD NOT happen!.Version: 1.0.9

Let me play spotify songs while the app is open!!Title, it helps to use spotify to sleep.Version: 1.0.16

Pay to winIt is very much pay to win because even with 100% sleep (of 8.5hours) every night, you arent earning enough currency to keep buying biscuits nor is there a way to earn more while you sleep unless you pay for premium. That said, i HAVE premium (free trial) and STILL arent earning enough so the last option is to buy diamonds for more biscuits or expect to only get a pokemon once every few days. It's very disappointing and makes premium very lackluster for a $10/month charge when it hardly helps. I initially thought the premium shop (for cheaper items Like biscuits) reset once a week to buy more but that is monthly reset as well so doesnt provide a sufficient amount. If you are more patient than I am, you may be able to look past this but pokemon has always been about catching and raising and this doesn't feel like there is much reward in participating in an app to stalk your sleep patterns. Also, hungry pokemon is a rare occurrence but i feel my game isnt always telling me when they are because i randomly get boosts when feeding sometimes and wasting free biscuit for this lack of knowledge..Version: 1.0.10

Alright, could be better. Price issues. It’s ok if you like Pokémon but if you love sleep tracking you will probably ditch this app for another. It’s ok with me, I’m a pretty sound sleeper but I can see it not being as good for those who have real sleeping issues. The pricing is also simply ridiculous, I get it’s Nintendo and they never expect their apps to last (lol) but cmon, it’s too expensive for the amount of actual content you get. These prices are what you see in MMO’s, not sleep trackers. If they lowered the prices a lot more people would spend..Version: 1.0.1

Ironically stalls the process of getting to sleepI downloaded this because I love Pokémon and I thought that, more or less, this app would be a cute little sleep tracker. Because of this, my first two sessions with the app have been immediately before bed. I didn’t anticipate just how long and tedious the tutorials would be. I found myself clicking through the tutorial process on my second night for, like, 20 minutes before I could actually get to the page where it lets me start my sleep session. Out of all the projects the Pokemon Company has made, I’d think it’s a no brainer that the only one which you SHOULD NOT overcomplicate and add excessive features to, it would be the sleep-tracking app. Even if you do want to add all these features, there should be an option to just skip it all temporarily and come back to it if you’re in a hurry. That said, I’ve only used it twice, but I’ve found it annoying enough to leave a review, which I don’t do for a lot of apps. PS— the “relaxing sleep music” is REALLY annoying. Like borderline unbearable. Idk what circus freak would find it relaxing but it honestly just made me angry. I’ll keep trying the app and see if I change my, but as it stands I am unimpressed..Version: 1.0.13

Could use SOME changes but overall I love this appI’ve struggled with sleeping habits and I can’t explain how but a notification popping up with Snorlax’s face saying it’s bedtime actually helps me. I love how cute it all is. Like Tamagotchi but Pokémon. I do have some complaints. While I haven’t had a lot of experience with glitches, there always seems to be a delay whenever I try to tap on something. Also this morning a Meowth I wanted to befriend was being body blocked by a Wobbuffet😅 AND! I don’t have a “Use This Team!” Button on my app. And I’ve got to the point where I can fill two teams. So…fix that please? Other than that I’m loving this app. I don’t have the Pokémon Go+ thingie. WAY too much money for someone as poor as me, and I don’t even know if it’ll be worth it. I mean listening to my phone play a lullaby of the Pokémon center is good enough. Though I would like to know how to unlock more lullabys. Thank you for the cute app. I love it🥰.Version: 1.0.4

AnnoyingGame idea is great, but get annoying very fast as there are loads of loading screens to press ok if you want to go further and you need to go further to cook and collect berries. Game is repetitive all the time so I don’t see any issues if that could be skipped, it take around 70% of the time on this game just in waiting to be able press ok, continue, then wait to load other screen etc. Disappointed by this, if that is gone I’m big fan of this game..Version: 1.2.0

Very one size fits allI think other criticisms have been made perfectly well by others and don’t need repeating, but my main criticism is that we can’t set our own goal that will give us a full 100 point sleep. I naturally wake up between 7-8 hours of sleep and don’t often sleep past the 8.5hrs needed for a full 100 points. If there were a way to adapt this to our own sleep styles in that regard it would be great..Version: 1.0.5

Terrible game and predatory marketingI really wanted to enjoy this and I gave it a fair shot, but there's too many issues that can't be overlooked. I used the regular app for tracking the first week, and it would only count 3/7 hours that I slept, if at all. I did exactly as the app instructed me, left my phone on my bed next to me while I slept, yet it didn't properly capture, even though it didn't record any sounds. Another issue is the inability to listen or watch anything with this app open. It FORCES you to either sleep in silence or use the terrible stock "sleep sounds" they provide; just make it so that you can listen to something, there are PLENTY of apps that allow for recording/microphone usage during video/music streaming. The cash grab is probably the worst. It's 1$ for a poke biscuit (you will on average use 1-5 for baby Pokémon and 10+ on evolved Pokémon). So you have to spend on average around 5$ just to even capture a Pokémon that you randomly encounter after sleeping, and that's without taking into account leveling candies (idea from Pokémon go but more poorly executed), which also cost money. Everything progresses too slow, which is why the game keeps highly incentivizing to pay for the premium pass; yet the premium pass barely even gives you enough either..Version: 1.0.5

Cute but awful at tracking sleepIt’s super cute and I’ve been using it every night but it seems like whenever I use an incense that doubles the XP I would get from sleeping the app cuts the amount of sleep it’s tracked by half and decides i only slept like 4 hours if I’m lucky so then I just get the normal amount of XP anyway so the incense was a massive waste of my points. there’s been a Few times the app complained I slept too deeply and hasn’t rewarded me at all or an update in the night has for some reason stopped it from working! I have my phone on my bed exactly how it wants me to have it and everything When it does actually track my sleep I struggle to see the reasoning for how it determines the type of sleep I’ve had, it’ll say had dozing sleep for 4 hours and slumbering sleep for 1 and still say overall it was a slumbering sleep? The game is very sweet and simple which I love but I should be rewarded for the time I set the sleep until the time I press wake up because this game can’t track sleep very well at all.Version: 1.0.5

Pretty basic failingsIt falls short in some of the basic tenants of game design in its tutorial sections. Namely: it forces you to give a rare and highly valued item to Pokémon you probably don’t care about. Emphasizing the importance of a specific item and then forcing users to choose between three Pokémon they don’t like is just a recipe for a bad experience. And frankly, one that is plainly obvious to anyone with a little bit of foresight. We are guaranteed one of the starters on our first night, let us switch to the starter so we can max our friendship with a pokemon we give a crap about. That’s supposed to be the whole point right? The reports take way too long to review, usually because of screens that are slow to fade in, and frankly just way too many screens to go through. So far my experience with the game has only been frustrating (too slow and forcing me to give crummy Pokémon the master biscuit) I just can’t see why I’d waste my time with this game. The tracking is bad, it says you can record two sessions a day but it really only means me because if your session goes across two days it counts for both of those days. So your sleep counts as both a night session for the day you started sleeping and a morning session for the day you woke up. Thought I’d be able to record mid day naps as well, given the wording explicitly says TWO SESSIONS a day.Version: 1.0.2

Riddled with problems don’t spend money!Constant crashes and bugs, to point I was in a crash loop and had to reinstall the game, now all data is gone had an active subscription contacted support the night I had the issue and still haven’t had a resolution in over 3 weeks now what a waste of money, had a reply 2 weeks ago asking for additional details which were provided and nothing since, even tried a second support ticket since my first one got no where and they just merged it so I guess my account is gone.Version: 1.0.7

Ruining my screen time averagesI’ll preface this by saying i do really enjoy this game, i’ve built up a nice little collection of cool pokemon, and it’s a nice change of pace from other pokemon spin-offs as it’s not focused on powering up pokemon to use them in battle. i’m sure everyone knows at this point that you have to keep your phone open in order for it to track your sleep. usually the screen dimming is enough to make my phone not count my sleep time as screen time, but sometimes that mechanism seems to just… break. it’ll randomly add 4-7 consecutive hours to my screen time, which will cause my daily average for the week to SKYROCKET. i try to keep my screen time under 7 hours every day, and it’s really really difficult to track my progress on that when this game alone has been responsible for 7 hours of screen time. i know for a fact it’s not anything i’m doing physically. my phone stays face down on my bed all night, i’m not doing anything to flip it over or mess with it in any way. i don’t know if a notification will set it off or something, but it’s extremely frustrating ending up with 10-12 hours of screen time in a day because of this game..Version: 1.0.16

A few key problemsFirst off, as someone who sometimes struggles to keep herself to a bedtime schedule, I love the idea of this app. It makes me *excited* to go to sleep, which is something I can’t say for myself in the past. However… I have two big problems with this app. (I actually don’t mind the phone on the bed thing.) 1. I hate that I can’t play other audio media at the same time as I track my sleep — I usually fall asleep to white noise or podcasts so this has been a huge adjustment for me. If there was an option to turn off the app tracking noises in a trade-off for allowing media to play, I’d do that in a heartbeat. 2. The system that determines which Pokémon come visit you is pretty disappointing. I currently am sleeping on a softer mattress than I’d like, so that causes me to toss and turn a lot in my sleep because my body is trying to minimize the strain that the mattress is putting on me. Because I can’t buy a new mattress right now, this means that almost all of the Pokémon I’m seeing are classified as “Dozing.” I’ve seen so many repeats and I’m starting to worry I won’t see a lot of the Pokémon in the game, just because of my current circumstances..Version: 1.0.5

Great Idea Poor ExecutionI’ve been playing this game for about a month now and I think it’s a great game, it does its job of trying to get me to get more sleep. The main issue I see with this game is the feeding and collection of resources, right before you go to bed if you want to upgrade your snorlax to get better sleeping pokémon when you wake up you have to spend fiveish minutes clicking on stuff and making snorlax food. This is a great feature and all except when i’m about to go to sleep i’m very tired which makes doing this section of the game very demotivating and feel like a chore, the pokémon all have animations you have to wait for, usually your bag is full so you have to go make snorlax food and then continue picking up resources, it’s just altogether very boring. Another issue i’ve found is the time it takes to evolve and level up your helper pokémon. As I mentioned before, i’ve been playing for about a month, so far i’ve evolved one pokémon which was my totodile to a croconaw, this took me three weeks to do and ontop of that i used all of my rare candy items i received from quests on him. The process is very slow and parts of the game feels like a chore when i just want to go to sleep and hopefully find a shiny pokémon the next day..Version: 1.0.6

Too buggyI like this tracker, but it’s way too glitchy and buggy. If it’s not changing from English to Japanese language of its own accord, it’s switching music on when I’ve specifically turned it off, same thing with the alarm, telling me a purchase I never made has failed, and then on collecting berries my Pokemon buddies have gathered, it tells me there’s an error and keeps returning to the title screen. When it works, it’s great, but I’ve now given up on it, and I’ll be returning to my old boring sleep tracker. What a shame..Version: 1.0.11

Fun, but needs pausing! As I get awake multiple times at night, I feel like the app would need a pause/play button for when you need to get up to pee or etc. Accordingly, having a stat showing how many times you got awoken that night would be great. ** As other has also stated, not a fan of the fire hazard. I’ve discarded the « keep it plugged » for safety reasons and it had been working so far, using minimal battery off my iphone..Version: 1.0.1

Abundance & RewardsPokémon sleep needs far more abundance and rewards… after playing since it’s release; evolution takes a long time, you constantly run out of resources, Pokémon candies DO NOT come easily, and because of all this you can almost never get the Pokémon you need and when you do you’ll never be able to evolve them! Pokémon sleep needs a lot more in the way of balance when it comes to items, sleep points, candies of all types, and of course the actually Pokémon themselves. It’s an incredibly hard game to play and thus enjoy because of how insanely difficult everything is. Please fix this balance! Update: too many times have I been recording sleep, I get to Master 2/3 (which I’ve put effort in) and it records something like 10 minutes of sleep… what is that about. 3 stars down to 1 star….Version: 1.0.7

Time exhaustingI just find the game really slow, especially after asking up. I don’t have 10-15 mins to take photos, talk to professors, feed 1 singular cookie to level up pokemon..Version: 1.0.15

It need work!So don’t know if this is just me but, it doesn’t record accurately, you set it to record from before you go to sleep and it seems to take hours for it to actually start recording, so you lose that time. For example I start early in the morning around 4 so I go to bed normally at about 8-9 ish but the app says that I’ve had around 3 hours sleep? I can look at my Iwatch app and it says that I’ve had 7 hours how does this work? Also the Pokemon Go Plus + doesn’t make this more accurate I’d say it’s worse! When I use that I’m sometimes going down to 2 hours! So like I said needs work..Version: 1.0.3

Sleep BugThe current update has caused the game to bug out when recording sleep. I barely getting 4.5hrs registered which wouldn’t be a problem is the whole game isn’t based around sleep recording. This is even worse when there’s an event that relies on SLEEP tracking.Version: 1.0.9

Good but needs a bit of workI have only used this once and will keep using it because it is a cute and fun thing to do. From my point of view, there are already two downsides. One it said that I only got 4 hours of sleep, but I went to bed around midnight and didn't wake up until 7 am, so something is wrong there. Two, I can't have my phone on my pillow because I toss and turn at night. The following day I am picking up my pillows from the floor. So not the best idea for my phone. There should be an option to say that you move in your sleep so the app has another way of tracking sleep or something like that..Version: 1.0.4

Not sureHonestly not sure how I feel about this app. I know it wont be the best at tracking sleep because it's only going on noises, but it keeps stopping my sleep when i get up for a drink in the night. And last night, i slept 1am till 9 am ish, and because an update came out, it didnt log any of my data as it was interupted. I think it is a really really cute app, but without the extra device i dont think its a viable way to track your sleep accuratly..Version: 1.0.2

It's good but....I got this a few days ago and it's been working as it should, although on the first use it didn't track 2 HOURS of my sleep because I moved too much! I can't help when I move for god's sake! Also the whole point of the screen darkening is that there's no burn-in, but the next day I was just texting someone when at the top of my screen I noticed very faintly: "SNORLAX" Which was weird. Im also refusing £60 for the pokemon+ just to save my screen!.Version: 1.0.3

Fun but requires MOREWhere is the Apple Watch/Health support? Take a page from different apps like Pillow which obviously had that support. Is this what 4 years of anticipation lead us to?.Version: 1.0.4

Not workingThe app is usually really fun, and waking up to my Pokémon every morning is really nice. I’d give the app a five star rating, except it isn’t recording my sleep sessions. I’ve done everything to try and fix it, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app but nothings working! I’ve had the issue for about a week….Version: 1.0.6

Great, but 4 am reset time is a thing. This app is wonderful and makes falling asleep fun for me! However the only problem I have with it is the 4 am reset. The app only lets you have 2 sleep sessions a day, and at 4 am your time your allowed sleep sessions will reset. Now I thought this would be fixed by having your bedtime set to late at night, but that actually does nothing. For a person who is a night owl, works primarily best during nights, etc, it’s quite annoying and upsetting thinking you’ll be able to track how much sleep you’ll get. But if you have a short amount of hours of sleep in your first session (say 4 hours), the app will only track and count your next session for the 4 hours even if you slept for 8 hours. Please fix this issue and make it so we can make our own reset times or take off the 2 sessions limit. For an app that seems so open to all different sleeps, this is not welcoming to erratic sleep patterns. There’s other issues outside of just this, but others have already talked about it, other than these issues, I think its a great app..Version: 1.0.4

Fire hazardI was very exited for this game but it is disappointing to know that when you play this game it will most likely cause a fire. Leaving a device charging all night while it is on , on top of your bed is a very big fire hazard.Version: 1.0.1

Preventing me from recording sleep dataWhile I do enjoy using the app to help me go to bed on time, the amount of times that I have woken up to it stopped tracking my sleep 2-ish hours in because I might’ve accidentally brushed it when I was sleeping has been ridiculous. Please develop a way to prevent this unbelievable annoyance.Version: 1.0.16

Very cute game, ludicrously priced mtaThe game and vibe is adorable! However the ‘premium’ pass is absolutely ludicrously priced - almost as much as Netflix for an app that just tracks my sleep?! All of the premium currency is priced so high it makes me worry this app is just some quick cash grab. It’s madness! That being said, it’s a cute game and playing without buying premium stuff is ok, even if progress can be slow..Version: 1.0.2

Gacha Pokémon I guessWith some issues in the mechanic balancing of the game (Pokémon energy and such) that seem to be noticed to be addressed in the future by the team; it leaves the impossibility of achieving anything without spending money. Catching/befriending pokemon in this game is such a slow process that leaves you feeling dissapointed in the AM. You collect berries, cook, and track your sleep for this anticipated reward of getting Pokémon visiting to potentially join your team. Except you can’t befriend any because you only have one to two biscuits, which are never enough without a Pokémon being flagged as ‘hungry’. I have the pass and still feel like I’m struggling to keep up with the enjoyment of what this game has to offer. And of course the shop prices are INSANE. Like, crazy prices for what you’re ‘getting’.. The game takes clear advantage of your love for Pokémon to make money and feels very reminiscent of the issues with gacha games. A speaking of gacha; you basically roll stats/skills on Pokémon that make it either good or bad with insane milestones to access them. So catch that pichu that finally showed up from last week (if you slept the correct style again) and it has terrible stats that makes it not helpful at all other than having it be cute. A very obvious gach-eque tactic for money which is extremely sad to see on a Pokémon game..Version: 1.0.5

Cute But Unusable For Me and OthersI think this app is very cute and a great concept. I understand wanting to use the microphone to record sleep etc so that it is accurate, but I cannot use it because I need rain sounds to fall asleep, like a lot of others. The app does not allow white noise or anything to play while it is open, so it makes it unusable for me and a lot of others. If there was a way to change it to allow background app sound play or to start a sleep session and then close your phone with the white noise playing , and after your sleep session end it, then I would love that. I was super excited to use but it just is unusable for me. If you could make it so the audio recording function is an option and that the app just needs to press start in order to record sleep and stop to end, instead of having to keep it open and your phone open with no option for background music. I really hope the developers take these suggestions into consideration, because I know a lot of more people would use it and it would be more accessible. Thank you!.Version: 1.0.4

Not trackingIt’s ok I get so annoyed that it says it didn’t get any sleep data due to to much movement or it lags out and stops working. I am not happy that I end up putting in manual sleep data due to inconsistent sleep tracking. The sound recordings aren’t long enough to hear what exactly is happening so I now have that turned of it’s a waste of time. Over all it’s a 3 star to me if it improves I shall come back and give better review..Version: 1.0.9

PotentialI’ve been “playing” this for over 3 months. This is my second account bc I lost my first one after getting a new phone. It never prompts you to create a sign in or link anything. That sucked. What I don’t like, every morning if feels like I’m spamming start buttons. It takes so long just to get to the Pokémon. It feels like I keep tapping start, okay, go, etc etc. next is a big bummer, I’ve muted all sounds and whatever else I can do. It still pauses whatever I’m listening to until I close out the app. This drives me insane. Next would be, I want to be able to turn the vibrate feature off when collecting berries. And I think the worse is watching friends get to see the craziest spawns and shinies while i consistently get 100 sleep score and see 3 spawns of the same thing in the same sleep postion while in masters. It’s ridiculous or either I’ve just had the worst RNG for months, week after week of just trash spawns. Maybe it’s because I won’t spend money. Who knows. It could be fun because I do love Pokémon and I don’t mind playing grindy luck games. and it’s a cool idea but all these little things are adding up to basically me not enjoying this game and considering uninstalling because it’s stale even though they keep doing events..Version: 1.0.15

Good Concept, Execution is okay…The concept is good but I think some parts could be a but more enjoyable. For example, the animations are incessantly long. Especially the one at the end of the day. It’s a bit counterproductive because it’s making you stay up and sometimes I don’t record my sleep because I know it’ll take a while. The cooking system is sort of lacking at the moment. You can’t make half the dishes due to the cooking pot limit for most of the week, which feels restrictive. Further, despite being on week 10 of this game, I am still yet to encounter a couple of ingredients which is sort of a mystery for me. 2-3 months in and I feel like I’m still a noob with little to show The levelling up of pokemon also feels very slow and inaccessible. You don’t accumulate much candy and the RP system sort of escapes me Overall, I think the general slowness of the game hinders the experience. (Both in animation, and pacing).Version: 1.0.9

Good but needs improvementThe game is good but needs improvement, needs it so you can delete sleep recordings whenever you like and so that you can try to catch the Pokémon you create friendships with and when you can’t your friendship level goes down with them so you need to build it back up so you can try to catch that Pokémon again. I’m only new to the app so I’m not sure what Pokémon you have on your app yet, but if you don’t have all of them please make it so you can have them all, doing all this it’ll basically be a sleep version of Pokémon go.Version: 1.0.5

Important Fixes NeededI’m leaving this review as someone who was very excited for this app, but now knows it needs a lot of fixes before I can enjoy it. For me, the app is unusable in its current form. My main thing is, I need it to allow sound to play from other apps while I’m using it. This app only has the couple of sleep sounds, and I find then high pitched, annoying, and in no way relaxing. I can’t fall asleep to it, but I do need sleep sounds to fall asleep. I should be able to play my BetterSleep app (or Apple Music, Spotify, etc) while using this app. As others mentioned, having the screen on all night and face down on your bed is dangerous and impractical, particularly for those of us who use wireless charging on bedside tables. Other sleep apps are able to track without being on the bed, this should be able to as well. Connectivity to Apple Watch and the Health App also seem like obvious choices that have been ignored here. I’d love to be able to edit this review and give it a better score, but it’s got a lot of work to do before I can do that!.Version: 1.1.0

Crashes and glitches are horrendousI swear I get trolled every goddamn week with this useless app. Randomly says you didn’t sleep loud enough last night no points for you, catch screen doesn’t always pop up for Monday morning, and instead of fixing known issues op for releasing more events and reasons to stay with the app m. An absolute nightmare to try and grind seriously..Version: 1.2.0

Please add the ability to play music or a podcast while having the app openTitle speaks for its self. Love the game makes me look forward to sleeping but podcasts and music help me sleep and not being able to play then with the app open is quite frustrating for me..Version: 1.0.2

Fun, but needs improvementsI really like how simple this is and how it doesn’t keep me glued to my phone. Simple and fun. I just wish I could use my watch to track my sleep. It requires the phone to be plugged in and in your bed. However, I prefer to use my wireless charging stand. If I use the stand it cuts the monitoring short. If I could use my stand or watch I would be wrapped with this simple and fun collection game..Version: 1.0.3

Same as other reviewsGood concept, cute game, I want to enjoy it. But it’s laggy, for one thing, so several times I’ve nodded off waiting for it to load the next screen to finally make my way to the sleep section. As others have said, I would prefer to have health kit integration, and the option to sync up with a smartwatch rather than leave the screen on all night. I’ve not had any issues with my phone heating at all (when I’ve woken up in the middle of the night) but I’d still rather let the screen go to sleep. It would also be a lot better to have the option to play my own music rather than the in-app ones since they’re a bit shrill and annoying for sleeping to..Version: 1.0.2

Needs More FeaturesI like it overall but requires you to remember to set things up before you sleep. Also another issue is not everyone has a standard of appropriate sleep so it’s kinda hard to advance in the game if you have disrupted sleeping, not needing the average sleep hours or just other sleeping patterns, habits and or disorders, that just make it hard to advance. In order for some features it requires you to use a device sold separately which tends to end up under me and I never get appropriate data for so many reasons. I’m not sure if you can track sleep by using your phone near you I question fire safety with that. But overall I really wished it had interventions with health apps such as the apple & google health apps which have other sleep data collection ect. It be nice to have sleep data to be both added and taken from these services to help the app. As often times I have my watch on when I’m asleep collecting data hands free and effortlessly it be a added bonus to have that data be used as well in the events I forget to set up the required sleep collection method. Overall it’s fun for a bit and the Pokémon go integration is a bonus and a bit more incentive, but the app gets old and boring even with the events. Work on the sleep collection and the app would vastly improve..Version: 1.0.15

Dangerous and poorly thought outI am simply NOT going to leave my phone on, unlocked and charging on my bed while I sleep. It is not only dangerous heat wise, it is simply a waste of the bedside dock and charging solutions I have spent time and money already getting set up. I own an Apple Watch, this should be an option. Overall, this app does not offer enough for me to decide to change my sleep habits in order to use it.Version: 1.0.1

Review loading, please wait...Any time you open any menu, there's a multiple second loading screen, so many animations are "unskippable cutscenes", i dont know why they decided to have a 10 second animation of barely any motion when I want to start tracking my sleep, im tired, i dont want to sit there and wait 5 seconds for a skip button (that doesn't register tapping it until a few more seconds after it shows up) to appear. This app should be able to run on a potato, yet for some unspeakable reason it's the most graphically intensive battery drain making phones so hot that they're a fire hazard, and that's before you even mention the part where you're supposed to stuff it under your extremely flammable pillow *and* plug it into a charger at the same time. Other sleep apps (that somehow give you the exact same data) don't have that issue, but then again they don't render intensive 3D graphics during the time it's designed to be a black screen and the user is meant to be asleep, not looking at the screen..Version: 1.0.6

Game fun so far, rating one star for one thing onlyI do not like that you need to keep the screen on during the night if you don’t have the £50 Pokémon Go Plus + accessory. I’ve dropped a handful of cash for my actual sleep tracker on my Fitbit. Given that I don’t really play Pokémon Go anymore, spending that much money on an accessory because I want to protect my battery and screen from burn in is really absurd. I understand it needs to be unlocked to use the gyro and microphone functions. But I wish there were more options (ie, Smartwatch compatibility). Hell, I would even take a cheaper £20 bracelet with only the sleep functionality. I like this app. It’s a cute app. But £50 to play it whilst keeping my screen off is really steep. I really hope that more compatibility is considered for this app, given that it’s going against fire safety guidelines on having your phone on and plugged in for the whole night..Version: 1.0.1

Not Pokémon goThis game is another sleep tracker: but it doesn’t use apples sleep data, so you have to manually record/log your sleep each night and it keeps audio recording of your sleep for its sleep data. This game has been in development for so long I expected more. App crashed on the first “play” and didn’t record my sleep data, making it useless (no progression or anything) I do not see myself using this app beyond today. I had pre-ordered the new pokemon go plus and I will be canceling that today..Version: 1.0.1

Good idea, poor executionI really don't see why the app has to stay open while tracking sleep data, or why we can't play our own audio while tracking. I get that the app will record sounds throughout the night, but 99% of the time all it catches from me anyway is me tossing and turning in my sleep. The lack of Apple Watch accessibility also feels like it was left out on purpose so you'll have to buy their Pokémon Go plus+ doohickey if you wanna use the app but not risk burning your house down. The game already has micro-transactions, would it really be that big of a blow to not let Apple Watch users utilize their own product?.Version: 1.0.5

Poorly ExecutedSo two nights ago I apparently got 4 hours asleep because it stopped tracking because I’m a quiet sleeper and don’t move or make much noise when I’m asleep, great so my score caps at 4 hours every night. Then tonight the app stops working because it had to bloody update which means I get 2 hours of sleep because apparently when the app needs a 4mb update it stops working! What a joke, 4/5 of my nights with this app have been completely wrong. Absolutely baffling and disappointing that this game went dark for so long just to finally be released and have this many bugs and lack of adaptability for people’s routine. Absolutely no thought or care for the lives of real people because you can’t listen to music or watch anything whilst the app is open, you are forced to keep Pokémon sleep open thus your phone unlocked providing a security issue, keeping your phone on all night and plugged in when it’s likely reach 100% an hour in is ridiculously bad for your phone battery’s health. And above all else, the gameplay is cagey and predatory itself! You will get MUCH less rewards unless you buy their absurdly priced items on a game that’s all about having a good nights sleep, it’s ridiculous! It’s like they took this game off the shelves after being silent about it for so long because it’s shockingly bad, and then just decided to put it out anyway and ramp up prices so that it at least gets a bit of money before it inevitably shuts down..Version: 1.0.2

Overall fun but wish it links sleep data through a Fitbit or fitness appFun game and captures everything I love about Pokémon. But main reason for my rating is that I don’t like how I must leave the app open in order for my sleep to be tracked. It would be great if my sleep can be tracked and entered through an existing fitness app like Fitbit and all you need to do it sync it with your Fitbit. It then won’t require users having to leave the app open all night and risk your phone being drained if you’re not charging all night..Version: 1.0.2

Need a collect all or somethingI really wanna use this app but I’m the kind of person who have a hard time going to sleep and the last thing I wanna do before sleeping is clicking multiple things just to use a sleeping app properly. This app needs a collect or skip all or something to help me use it . Good night..Version: 1.0.14

Great app, but not for busy peopleThis app is great fun to wake up to in the morning, and while I appreciate the app not letting notifications startle me awake, it doesn’t let ANY notification come through AT ALL. No phone calls, no texts, no alarms, NOTHING. So if you’re someone with a busy life that HAS to ALWAYS be on the alert with a message, this app WILL NOT let any of those very important messages come through. So, EMT, police, on-call people, I would not use this app, not until they fix this..Version: 1.0.5

Extremely PoorThe game element is fine. It’s repetitive but I can see that it would encourage children to sleep. The sleep tracker is utterly useless though. It consistently misses the first two to three hours of sleep. Last night it said I fell asleep at half 3 when I actually fell asleep before midnight as it has for the last 4 or 5 nights. This has been in development for 3 years and it’s disappointing. Update: After a couple weeks I’ve worked out that it doesn’t start counting you as asleep until you hit “Slumbering” or deep sleep. Most people hit this deep stage early in their cycle however lots of people, myself included, have delayed deep sleep. This makes this app completely unusable for about 15% of people on earth. This is lazy coding even more so when the game tracks and displays light and REM sleep before it thinks you even fallen asleep. Update: Latest update was said to fix the above issue. Still 100% completely broken..Version: 1.0.6

App has a bugApp starts normally then says to review sleep and goes to a white screen with music. Tried deleting and reinstall still found the same thing. Please fix!!!!!!.Version: 1.0.16

Has some issuesI like this game a lot so far, it’s a cute way to encourage me to sleep earlier as I struggle with a nighttime routine. However I have a few issues with the game. There’s so many bugs. It won’t track my sleep at all or the cutscene before I start to sleep will freeze and I have to reopen the app. And the micro transactions are such a joke. This isn’t some big triple a game, it’s a sleep tracker. It shouldn’t be as expensive as it is. You’re a multibillion dollar company. You can spare the change. The app is cute in concept and I still enjoy using it but my god it needed a few more months in the oven and a rethink of its monetisation.Version: 1.0.4

Snorlax scoreThere is a issue that has been happing this week in regards to snorlax score when I Sync my Pokéball plus. You see I just did the sync now and the game said that snorlax score was 57,286 but checked before for I sync and I was great one and the score is sitting at 91,192 . The issue is before I sync the pokeball plus I fed snorlax and it seems to not have registered for the sync and i even refreshed the app and it still failed. Please can this get looked at. If it happens again tomorrow their will be another review to this one..Version: 1.0.16

Don’t be put off by bad reviews. So far for me the sleep tracking has been extremely accurate, and I’ve only had a few issues with the app. I mostly use it for the pokemon catching side but the sleep tracker also works just as well as any other app I’ve used. It’s a hit or miss from what I’ve heard from friends, but it’s always exciting to catch pokemon when you wake up. I feel like the menu’s/shops ect could’ve been organised better but other then that and a few minor bugs that have probably been patched I’ve had little to no issues. It is slightly annoying that you have to open the app with wifi, even though the sleep tracking works perfectly fine without it?.Version: 1.0.7

Play Magikarp Jump InsteadIt’s a cute ‘game’, I enjoy the Pokémon collection aspect, and it might eventually help fix my sleep schedule. Buuuuut… The £50 accessory is basically required if you want your phone locked or for the tracker to even stay on your bed (necessary). It works well, yes, but at that price I feel the game should give me more than an extra helper Pikachu! You want me to buy the accessory AND a premium pass? Otherwise the game has a manageable amount of menus and a cute visual style. I hope they add more Pokémon in updates and not 300 menus like they added to Cafe Mix..Version: 1.0.4
