Argggggggggg!!!!!!!Trust me the majority of people who tell you this is flawed are right. The dice rolls become progressively difficultly as the game gets harder, but what is infuriating is the fact that the computer goes after you with a vengeance. This is especially evident when you are quite obviously not a threat and the attacker has a single territory to consolidate a continent and earn bonus armies. But what the hell attacking you is more important rather than improving their position. Argggg it's so annoying!!!!!!!.Version: 0

Broken as of version 2.4 :-(Prior to version 2.4, this was my favorite game on the iPhone. Not perfect, but still very addictive. The AI could have been improved (all that really changes on the harder setting is that computer opponents attack more often and get loaded dice - the computer opponents don't actually get any smarter). IMHO, there's one easy change that could be made to the AI... Currently, the computer players go nuts trying to attack any player with complete territories or continents (this makes sense), however when one player dominates without holding complete continent sets, those players don't get targeted for attacks and are allowed to dominate. (Also, couldn't we have MISSIONS?!? Missions were the best part of the original game of Risk!) Anyway, all this is moot, since the game stopped working completely in version 2.4. The only reason to download version 2.4 is if you enjoy looking at a blank screen..Version: 0

Actually pretty terribleDon't waste your money it's quite a bit worse than the Risk App. It does offer variation but we found it frustrating to play and the inability to fortify more than one space away makes this app look even more poorly made than the terrible graphics do..Version: 3.4

Bad upgradeThe animation and gameplay was amazingly fast before the upgrade. When I played the World scene, and had the fastest setting for the AI's, I could have a battle set up done in less than a minute. Now it takes forever. And what's with the coloured notices telling me what continents I've conquered? This is a bad upgrade and I want to go back to the previous version. Very disappointed.Version: 4.1

WeakChock full of irritating glitches.Version: 0

Very poor AIThe Computer plays almost randomly and very poorly. For that reason you always win a 1:1 game. When you add more computer opponents: The programer, in order to make the game more challenging, has included a routine that all opponents suicide attack on you when you are winning until they get you out of the game. So it's you vs the world basically. Another huge problem is the non-dice battles where often you attack with 7 vs 3 and you are left with 2 at the end instead of 4. Finally the amount of armies the computer opponent gets on every turn is huge comparing to yours. Conclusion: on 1:1 you always win = boring With multiple computer opponents they all attack you the moment you are winning regardless of the consequences= very little chance to win. It's a poor game. The programmer has added unfavorable cheating features to compensate for poor, non existing AI. Improve the AI, if you have the skills to do that.Version: 0

You finally Did it!You've gone and completely eff-ed up a good thing. Anyone with the slightest amount of intelligence has known all along that the "randomness" of the Dice rolls have been forever infavor of the AI but with the recent release it is so far skewed that it is not even fun to play anymore. Used to play even at the disadvantage while thinking that it just added a level of difficulty but now you need 4-5 TIMES the amount of units on a space to have a chance to successfully attack OR defend. I know the developers responded to the original complaints (from MANY users) about this disadvantage as unfounded even when presented with many mathematical trials by a few different users but I would like to see how they wiggle out of this one it is so obvious you dont even need to have the basic intelligence that you needed before to see/understand this. PLEASE roll this back so we can play and pass the time in the more mild unfair advantage for the AI and not this absurd "HAHA you bought my game - you lose" update!!!.Version: 2.8

Do not buy. Deeply buggy.Imagine this... you've advanced your armies over the entire map... every territory is your color. But the game does not declare you the winner. At the bottom of the screen, the indicator bar tells you that two other computer players are still active, but you can't tell where there are, because every territory is, as I said, your color. Or... the game begins, distributing territories between you and the other players. A few moves in, you are attacked from a territory that is your own color. There are some bugs that are annoying pains, that you learn to play around because the game itself is so much fun. And there are SOME bugs that make it impossible to play the game. THAT'S the kind of bugs Conquest has. Don't..Version: 0

Increasingly frustrated and not in a good wayI have been playing this game for years but I have noticed a deterioration. I suspect that something has been fiddled with to make the Game more exciting (which it didn’t need) but in the process on occasions it becomes totally unplayable because of crazily unlikely dice throws by AI opponents. Please fix this because otherwise it’s a great, simple game..Version: 5.1.1

Dissappointed in the recent upgradeFirst time I have ever written a review. Ive been playing Conquest for a long time (years) and the recent upgrade is a disappointment. The animations are too over-the-top, and slow down game play (I'm on an iPhone 7 and have game play set at "Very Fast".) I play to speed through battles - not to watch dice flash and roll, and to watch armies attack, or to watch opposing armies advance. That doesn't add to game play, or build suspense, or help one determine strategy. It just drags the whole game down. Maybe on slower speed settings that would be ok, but for those wishing to play quickly it would be great if removing all the animation was an option. Wish I could uninstall this upgrade and go back to the previous version. Great game with a terrible upgrade that destroyed game play..Version: 5.0

Poor and blotchy graphics and fonts. This game is starting to look very poor. the graphics are scaled up iPhone maps, they look blotchy and blurred in places where they are being blown up for the retina display. the fonts are either minute or pixelated, sometimes both. this is a game sorely in need of high resolution maps, clearer fonts, and greater care and attention to detail. Furthermore, the AI is as thick as sh** even on the hardest setting, so its a hopelessly easy win every time for your average Joe. Its the only Risk clone out there with a ton of maps, but there are far better clones out there, with better single player challenge and superior graphics..Version: 3.3

Major glitches introducedGenerally a great game. I've had it for years. But the latest version is full of slow animation glitches which make the game almost unplayable. 1 star until it is fixed. Then 5 stars once that happens..Version: 4.1

Still buggy on iPhone XThis update does make the game playable again, but there are ugly grey borders in both landscape and portrait now and the title screen is stretched out so the notch cuts a bit off the title. Stick with 2 versions ago if you haven’t ‘upgraded’ this, it looked a lot nicer back then!.Version: 5.1.1

New version too slow, less streamlined play(Updated after deleted new & reinstalled old version) The recent update ruins the max autoplay speed of the computer player on my ipad2. Seems like wasting too much time on bitgraphic animations that I don't even want to see. Wasting so much time that i nearly fall asleep waiting, instead of being able to zip through games fast. There are also oversized popup notices now that are so annoying I have to turn them all off, and it won't automatically turn 5 cards into extra armies upon clearning the popup notice requiring it, so you have to make extra taps. It might just be me, but even the button to end the turn seems easier to miss hitting. I was able to downgrade back to a prior version that was on my PC-based iTunes (whew!) and having tried both I can say I definitely hate the new version's changes, love the old (pre-2015?) version. I could only tolerate playing a few games in one sitting using the older version, not new version. I wish the developer would just go back to the older version since the new version seems too degraded to be worth keeping. Or at least offer the old and new version as a separate apps so we can choose which one we want to be using..Version: 4.1

Makes you angryThere are times in the game when the computer opponents move their armies from all their outlying lands to right in front of you. Many times as you set your armies for attack, you have 20+ armies against 3 this should be easy, but alas no, if the land you are attacking is a strategic one then you are doomed. But wait on! What if you have 20+ armies defending against an attack by 3? Yes you guessed it, the result is the same. Totally biased toward the computer. I don't mind the challenge of a perceptively fair game, but this one isn't. Bad form chaps bad form! A potentially good game but flawed seriously to the AI.Version: 4.2

FrustratingAs everyone says AI is messed up. I've played this a while and noticed you only start first half the time you should. Five players you should start 20% of the time. Not even half of that. The dice roll seemingly is random but is not. I've seen AI roll double sixes 11 times in a row! Lost at 21 to 1 odds. Simply shouldn't happen. And it does FAR too often. Poor and frustrating design at what could be an enjoyable and straightfoward game..Version: 2.6

Human not on Equal FootingThe game itself is very good, however, after forty or fifty games, I have noticed that the game does not play as smart as it should (on any difficutlty setting - and I prefer the hardest). Computer players will attack human players at the cost of their own well being as a player. I have held the South Americal and part of North America for example and one computer or two computer players will let the another computer player have all of Asia (Bonus 7 armies) while constantly trying to keep me from having all of South America (Bonus 2 armies). The smarter play would be to keep any single player from getting too powerful and keep things as equal as possible while slowly building your own power. Other than this one issue, the game is great..Version: 0

Conquest dice weightingAlthough this is a very good version of Risk, with many maps to give extra dimensions. The major fault is the heavy loading of the dice in favour of the defending computer players. After many years playing dice based games, it is strickingly obvious that the rolls favour the defenders dice over 60% time. This does not happen in real life, and quickly builds frustration at the game. Please update with the dice rolls comletly random, make it like the origional, which is why I paid out over £3.Version: 0

Variation on RiskThe game is a nice variation on Risk, it's a bit light on value to warrant the price. There are options to increase the functionality and graphics but considering I haven't seen an update in a while this appears unlikely. As there is no actual Risk or Axis & Allies you may be drawn to it nonetheless (like me) but all others should leave it..Version: 0

Don't bother with paying for this gameAI dice rolls are as every other person reports. This has been this way since I got the game. The dev obviously doesn't care about fixing it either. DON'T BUY IT..Version: 2.7

AddictiveGood game, addictive but buggy. Sometimes when placing armies they dissapear would be the biggest annoyance..Version: 0

GoodNeeds more maps and the AI needs fixing so it doesn't do a kamikaze every time you capture a continent. Guarantee it will sacrifice loads of armies just to stop you getting and extra 2 per turn, when they totally ignore that they could easily capture a continent themselves for far less sacrifice and far more reward... A bit senseless. 5 stars if both these gripes are addressed.Version: 0

Bad updateThe latest update was a move in the wrong direction the graphics are shocking. When you zoom out you can't even see the number of armies or the border of the territories. The increased speed is good but a bit over the top how fast it goes now. Wish I could uninstall the latest update. The last version I would've given 4 stars.Version: 3.0

Update neededIt’s about time this game had an update, needs more maps etc been the same now for years..Version: 5.1.1

Update itDoesn't work on iPhone 6s..Version: 4.1

Latest update - nauseating animationsI love this app and I'm so glad to see it updated but unfortunately the new animations are headache inducing if not almost nauseating. I tried different animation speeds but couldn't find a suitable option. I hope a future update would add the option for animations to be set as it were from the last version which had short but clear animations that were also easy on the eyes. Took two stars off for this..Version: 5.0

InfuriatingYou play on Medium difficulty and it's too easy. Increase it to Hard, and you see no improvement in the computer's ability to strategise (it's teams continue to do some really stupid things), but instead have to cope with the dice rolling being ridiculously one-sided. In addition, more often than not the computer's teams repeatedly get 12 armies every 3 cards, while you have to wait 5 cards time to get given a measly 4 armies. Really, really annoying. Playing against others who are strategising is fun, but when the whole thing is just bias against you there's little fun to be had. I would not recommend this at all..Version: 3.4

From 5 starts to 3 because of the new update. The game is terrific and is one of my favorites. I really applaud the developer for adding new maps as I had played the old ones so much it was getting a little stale. Consequently, I hesitated to give a lower ranking. However, now the England map and the Skyland map both cause the game to freeze and crash. I've deleted it several times and reloaded the app, but that has not fixed the problem. The other boards (at least the ones I've tried recently) all still work, so there is not a reason to not download it. However, these bugs need to be fixed. Get everything working like it used to and I'll be back to 5 stars..Version: 0

Latest "upgrade" makes it unplayableI love this game (my favorite) but the latest version is now unplayable, like other reviewers gave reported. Moving the map is almost impossible, it keeps thing that you are trying to attack from one territory to another one, even if you are trying to move the map by moving the finger over the oceans. Also attacking/moving to/from small territories is very very difficult, it just doesn't "lock in" on very small countries, or worse makes it impossible to correctly select a small country which sits right next to a large one. I want the previous version back, and for record I apathy exclusively play with the classic map (earth) so I couldn't care less about new "worlds"..Version: 0

IPad version looks awfulI've been playing Conquest for months - first on touch than later on 3GS. In my opinion it's among the most addictive games I've ever seen. It's gameplay is simple and great at the same time although as many here have already said the game lacks developer's attention, some in-app maps buying, new maps etc. Since I bought iPad I've been waiting for iPad version. Having downloaded it now I can say that it's a complete disappointment. I wasn't expecting any new features but the graphics are awful - the game looks just as an iPhone app*2 which could have easily been done without the help of developer. And it's slower than on iphone. If you do own iPad and don't use iPhone/iPod touch I wouldn't suggest buying it for iPad. 2 stars for the gameplay only..Version: 0

Terrible ergonomicsLooks like it should be a fun game, and god knows I love risk but it's just unusable. It's a pity, but the game is totally let down by the cumbersome interface. It's slow and hard to use - and contains the worst feature I've ever seen on a handheld game.... the "fight with several dice" option, which you want to press repeatedly to win a fight is changed the moment you win into a "stop attacking" button. So you click a couple of times to speed it up and find you've ended your turn. There's no option to take it back..Version: 0

Slow play with updateWish I wouldn’t of updated this game. Slowed it down a lot.Version: 5.3.0

Sux!!!!!Look at the stats - rarely will you win a dice roll and you will never get a six. Lopsided victories all the time. Hate the "dialogue" boxes that have been added after every battle - very stupid. Give an option to remove them. LAME GAME!!!!!.Version: 3.4

Nice bugWhen manually selecting territories, you can click on as many territories during your turn as you can and gain an unfair advantage. Kind of making this app useless. Nice but pointless now..Version: 0

2 new space mapsOn the space map galaxy if u tap on the black part when trying to put your troops down it will "give" the troops to the black space if u could come out with a update to fix this it would be gladly appreciated. Other than this bug the game is amazing..Version: 0

I used to love thisAfter the last update it crashes and just doesn't work. The game now hangs and suddenly its too easy to win..Version: 0

New maps/bugsWell the bugs are irritating. But most of the time I can get through them. I just want more maps. And maybe a little random on the dice. Since upgrade I have found my stats to be a bit more computer favored. That's the most irritating part for me. I am always in the negative from the 1-3 vs. 4-6 numbers. And always negative in the 1 vs 6. I had one game of being positive out of all games since dice feature update. Just one. I also have seen alot more "suicide runs". An AI could have 1 color in a country to take over in a continent and rather than take over such continent they will dive bomb a force of 10 against my 19 and I will lose the grasp of my continent. But mind you...you can still win. Certain maps will be harder but I found the best technique is to take over a continent on the opposite side of the map. Where no one starts. Almost a guaranteed win. With the exception of England map. That's a freaking hard map..Version: 0

Help, game keeps crashing suddenlyPlease fix as this is such a fun game, may has to do with recent iPhone update.Version: 5.1.1

Awesome, except for the math bugA few versions back, this was without a doubt the best risk-like game I'd ever played. I particularly loved the diceless option. A couple of updates back, though, it was broken. You will occasionally see much larger attrition than you should; you might attack a territory containing 4 enemy armies and lose 8 or 9. (Again, this is the no-dice option, where that should not be possible.) This has been reported a few times for the last few releases, and still isn't fixed. But... If the developer ever fixes that, this will get five stars. The diceless option is good, and the variety of maps is lovely. I don't even think the AI cheats. If you like playing with dice, treat this as a five-star review. I prefer the pure strategy game..Version: 0

Keep working and you might have a gameI played Risk as a kid and loved it. When I saw this game I was excited. I usualy don't read the rewiews with a closed mind, however the people do have some valid points. I also feel the price I paid was high, but for a game of Risk I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong! I am having more fun with games that only cost $0.99! For the price we paid the update should have been great. It was a big let down. Yes the map looks better and the dying army count is good, but it would be nice if I could pick my color and the cards had the countries on them. I big waste of time was the starting instructions. Most of the people that buy this game knows how to play it. I feel that if you fix the game with letting one chose their color, add multiplayer, and use the cards like Risk then you will be going in the right direction. For those of you that have not bought this game yet I would wait until it is fixed..Version: 0

What a bummer! What a bummer to find out that in order to make up for lack of good artificial intelligence (ai), the programmers have simply opted to make up for such defficiencies by giving the computer player ridiculous advantages - especially with relation to troop disbursement. You will struggle to build your forces while the computer racks-up seemingly inconquerable armies. No wonder they don't include a rule book with this program - it would make such unfair advantages obvious. Can't we just stick to the real rules of Risk? All of this being said, I did enjoy the few times I actually beat the rules of physics and won. Please fix your ai and I will gladly give you five stars. I had such high hopes that this would be the first Risk clone that would actually work properly!.Version: 0

Not so random perhaps?Although this is fun, the dice seem loaded on certain maps. It seems to consistently be "random" in a way that goes against me, to the point where it seems not so random. But although it feels like the dice are loaded, the game, and challenge are still fun..Version: 5.1.1

New updateHi Please undo this latest update. It makes the game take forever. I hate it..Version: 5.2.0

RequestThis game is loads of fun with good AI and I have played it for hours. Unfortunately, recently it has not been working on my iPhone 4 so I'm bumping it from 5 stars to 1 unless that gets fixed. But for users 5 or later it's absolutely great. 4 users can download and see if it works for you but don't get your hopes up.Version: 4.1

PROBLEM! Keeps Deleting Troops! The current version has a huge bug! It keeps deleting troops! Just huge amounts of troops will suddenly disappear and the effect is 0. Please fix this with an update..Version: 5.0.1

Latest update wrecked the gameSince installing the latest update it is very hard to select countries to attack and also to move around the board. Bring back the old controls..Version: 0

SloooowThe game got super slow with the computer players taking forever to make a move..Version: 2.7

BahDice favor A.I, I know that you tried to prove it to us with the stats BUT I lost 9 armies to someone who lost 1, twice. australia, just captured, put em in Indonesia and somebody busted in. I put down cards and got it again and someone did it to me again..Version: 2.6

Don't botherWay way over priced and it doesn't do much more than the light one. Plenty of better apps around for a lower price. Wish I could give zero stars..Version: 0

Like a good Risk clone...only not.I spent some time reading the reviews before buying this game. Many were negative but many were also full of praise for this game. I took the plunge and spent my £2.49. After playing for 5 minutes I realise what a mistake it was. The game interface is actually very good compared to other games of this type. Dragging and dropping armies, being able to go back a phase and I got used to the look of the maps. I still don't like the way the map scrolls around. I'd rather it was static. The thing that is really broken about this game is the dice. After only a few minutes gameplay and frequent restarts I realise there is something wrong. I lose battles with alarming frequency even when my armies are 2-3 times the size. This is not something that happens from time to time, it happens NEARLY ALL THE TIME. To the point that it becomes impossible to play and enjoy this game. Hopefully Sean reads these reviews and is able to do something about this..Version: 3.2
