When computer could take europe it's reaches through the map to attack you. When you posses n and s america you are able to be rivalled in numbers over 50 turns by two computers with no territory due to them fighting each other, on turn 70 one took my s america and my numbers suddenly dwindled from a rediculous number down to me using twenty to move to australia.. I can win risk about 75% against humans but this game i conquered once, only because i was cashing in five cards every time i ousted a player. ✓ It's ok, but some of the rules are strange.The game is a lot like risk, and I LOVE risk. It plays like a 4 star game (a few odd ways to move troops prevents me giving it a 5*, but I like most of these different ways), but it's AI is strange. It will have tons of troops yet not attack you, yet when you attack with good odds you tend to barely win, if at all. It isn't sour grapes, but the dice rolls seem to be a bit unfair. I know statistics very well and they don't quite work out. The "free" territories are weird as well. I thought they were free, but I still lost men attacking them. What? However, this app has HUGE potential, and I mean HUGE. The sheer number of maps available in the full version make this app worth considering, thus its three star rating. Sean, if you read this review, please continue what you are doing. I love this app and all it's maps, but the gameplay is weird. If you make it more polished and refined like conquist I will buy your full version and upgrade my review. I like your idea, not just build on it! :-).Version: 3.4

✓ Disappearing armiesThe game is decently fun, but I’m having issues with my armies disappearing. It seems like the armies disappear if they’re next to a bigger army that captures a region. It’s also not very easy to get app support for this game. I only started experiencing these issues after I bought some of the expansions, so maybe that’s why. I’ve been having issues with getting pieces to move where I want them to, but the disappearing armies is the main thing. I’d avoid purchasing anything until this issue is addressed.Version: 5.1.1

✓ Great Risk idea - Need work2 major things stand out to me as getting in the way of this being a great game: 1) A major bug where sometimes my armies completely disappear (I.e I’ll have 20 armies & defeat a location with 1 army & I’ll have 18 left over …but all disappear & it’s as though I lost all armies going forward) 2) The AI is horrendous - even in the hardest difficulty. ✓ No good on iPhoneIPhone version: Obviously the author has worked very hard on the programming on this game, and the graphics are similar to the classic board game. However, it is annoyingly difficult to 'swipe' your army to attack a neighbouring territory. So much so I pretty much have given up playing it... I also found the dice roll to be distinctly biased against the player (me!) as has been written before in reviews. I had the Hasbro version of this game on my Blackberry and this was a better game all round, but it was too easy at times as they were too bias for the player. There must be a program that can just naturally randomise a dice throw, seriously? Lastly, you can't leave a territory empty in 'Risk', and that takes some getting used to in this game. Who are you fighting if a territory is empty? Surely you can just walk into an empty territory? Summery: This seems to be an almost complete game with plenty of potential. Just a few fixes and I'd be prepared to pay a couple of£'s (or $) for it. As it stands right now, it's frustrating to be so close but so far. (This review is for iPhone version only).Version: 3.4

✓ MediocreThe harder the skill level you choose the worse your dice rolls become. The AI doesn’t improve in its tactics, just bad rolls of the dice against the player. Example I’ve attacked with 15-20 pieces against 3-5 pieces and lost, multiple times in the same game. The AI will attack, for example, at 10-15 vs 6-8 and absolutely dominate, again, multiplier times in the game. This setting is still *extensively* slower than the update. I would gladly pay $20-$30 (or more) to purchase the older version of this app. I miss it that much! ✓ It cheats!It is quite a good game and it works ok, but the AI blatantly cheats on occasions! Keep an eye on your neighbours and how many armies they have, and how many cards. All of a sudden without trading in cards your neighbours will suddenly acquire more armies than they are entitled to! I call that cheating! Apart from that irritant it is ok. Like, I'll attack a territory of 2 with 10 troops and get destroyed consistently. ✓ Ruined with latest updateIt no longer remembers you preset speed of play and keeps resetting to medium and it’s not optimised for your screen so when opponents place their men on the map it jerks back and forth meaning you can accidentally put men where you don’t want as the map has moved under your finger. Also the algorithm for play is all over the place. I can basically tell from The first round if I have a chance of winning or not. ✓ Another Risk cloneSeems to have odds heavily stacked against the human player. The only way to win is to play extremely conservatively and assume heavy loses. Doesn't seem to follow Risk cash in rules, sometimes giving few armies despite handing in cards and holding much territory. I can only assume because poor game intelligence is made up for by handing over more armies to the computer players and giving them better odds on the throw of the dice. Not unusual to lose all your attackers despite having advantage of 17 to 2. Moving can be clumsy, gets destinations wrong and then there is no way of correcting them.
