✓ Very slowI bought the premium version and the app is moving super slow now even when I’m connected to WiFi. I’ve updated it and erased the app and still no change. The question of the day notification will pop up and there’s nothing there. My question metrics take for ever to populate, if I could include a screenshot I would. I’ll be sending and email I just want to learn good grief and pass my test 🙃 Please help..Version: 6.5.1
✓ Memorization toolAt best, this app should only be used once every couple days. Questions are repetitive with answers in exact same format every time. You’ll find yourself memorizing the answers instead of understanding the question. You’re better off reviewing general knowledge in each subject and using this to test yourself a few times. Zero questions were in my actual HESI exam. Still a decent test tool. Scored in the low 90s range on the app. I ended up scoring low 90s on my HESI exam..Version: 6.7.3
✓ App was okay but NOT good for A & P!I felt really confident going in to test because of all the awesome reviews, especially for A & P. I guess it's my fault for using this app as my main study guide for that section. There may have been 3-4 questions from the app that were similar to my test(a&p). THAT'S IT. I didn't get asked anything about the heart, anything about the specific organs, etc. For math, I though the app was okay. I'd say half the vocabulary I had on my test I saw on the app. The best section that the app helped me with was grammar. Over all I made a composite score of 87. Grammar 96 Vocabulary 96 Reading comp 88 Math 86 A & P 68 I needed a minimum of 75 on each section, so I'll be finding another study guide to study for A and P..Version: 6.5.1
✓ BOOHOO ITS GREATSURE the app crashes and isn’t developed to his greatest potential. But why critique it when it can literally GUIDE you into your future? Be appreciative that this app is available in whichever form! Yes it has its tweaks but the content is there and worth it to bypass and pay that 15$. I agree it did help me for my math, vocab, reading, chem, and biology. However for the A&P there were about 2-3 questions on the test from this app but everything else was derived elsewhere. It’s more specific on the test. I suggest going on google and actually typing out “ A&P HESI practice tests “ and studying that way. It’s not super specific but more specific than the elsvier book and this app..Version: 6.7
✓ Ok but needs work!The app has overall been a good study guide for the Hesi but it crashes and logs me out a lot. I have tried refreshing and reinstalling and it always tells me I’m not logged in and sometimes it takes a while to load. At this point I’m starting to wonder if it was even worth purchasing since it takes for ever to load. It takes overall 20min to get started while it logs in, everything refreshes and for the test to get prepared..Version: 6.5.2
✓ Can be great!I don’t usually write reviews but this is the first time I actually paid for an app, so I had to! I like how the material is presented and it’s definitely easy to use. Explanations are concise and very helpful. But unfortunately, the app itself is problematic. It crashes constantly and doesn’t load your progress properly. I ended up using the website on my desktop for the most part, which defeats the purpose of getting the app on my phone in the first place. Material wise it seems very good (will update once I take my exam on Thursday), but the app itself needs work. UPDATE: I got an 87 on the overall exam. Vocab, grammar, reading comprehension and math are spot on. But Biology and A&P are NOTHING like the questions on the app so be aware..Version: 6.7
✓ Apps slow update to come after testHaven’t taken the HESI yet but I was told this app was extremely helpful. Unfortunately after 500 or so questIons the app becomes completely unusable and unresponsive luckily you can continue on the desktop version but not the point of the “pocket” prep. Will give an update on the material after the HESI! Update 1: Reached the 1100 question mark and the app has become pretty much useless! Disappointing considering how much I paid for the app. Been using the desktop version to study! More updates to come Update 2: I’ve discovered if you turn off WiFi and restrict the app from using cellular data in settings the app will run much better! Plus less distractions while studying if you just turn them both off the quick way in the control center! Don’t forget to turn them back on though after you are done though!.Version: 6.7.3
✓ DisappointedI bought the app and used it to prepare for the Hesi along with the Elsevier practice book. I felt so confident going into the test as I studied quite a bit and was getting in the 90s consistently in the bio and chem areas(I aced the other required areas and passed bio the first time in the high 80s). Took the test again this morning and did the science sections first. The practice questions for bio were in no way an indication of what would be on the test. I missed it by 3 points. Chem was slightly better; I passed, but did not do as well as expected. If the company that makes pocketprep also develops the exams, I don’t understand how there is such a discrepancy in what is covered. There were questions in both sections that were in no way touched upon. Super disappointed..Version: 6.5.6
✓ Painfully slow and progress reset 200 questions before “guaranteed pass” markWhen the app is running smoothly, it’s great. Unfortunately, it’s painfully slow in setting up a custom exam. My biggest complaint is my progress was reset with only a few hundred questions until the “guaranteed” pass mark (I paid for the premium version). When I contacted customer support, I was told my account has just been set up that day. I received no response when I replied I paid for/set it up over a week prior..Version: 6.7
✓ DO NOT BUY THIS APPThe app is functional but not effective. The anatomy and physiology portion is NOTHING like what is on the HESI. I took my HESI today and thank god I retained my anatomy 1 and 2 classes because this app did not help at all. The questions are not formed at all like they are on the real test and the information is much more specific than what is on the app. The Vocab. and reading comp. portions were helpful but you can find the exact same information for free on a quizlet. One category for my HESI wasn’t even on the app. My advice is do not waste your money on this and if you do, don’t use this as your only study source. I used several different sources and managed to score a 92 cumulative on my HESI but this app did not help me. Also, the app begins to crash heavily after a lot of data is stored in it. After I hit the 500 question mark the app became very very slow..Version: 6.7

✓ Not user friendlyI have a hard time understanding this app. It is kind-of annoying. Questions are same repetitive. U cannot omit the subjects u do not need. Unable to select my choices of exam. It needs improvement. The mcgraw hesi A2 is a lot easier to navigate than this one. There are not much choices to use on this app. Also there is no where to write notes or questions..Version: 6.5.4
✓ Hardly worth itI scored in the 90s on the test taking all sections and mainly used this app for practice. There were only like 3 science questions that appeared on the HESI exam from the practice tests. It was more useful for the English sections. there aren't very many questions in the practice tests so they quickly get repetitive and the vast majority of them come from information in the Elsevier guide. It also has a lot of lag and doesn't always work right..Version: 6.3.2
✓ The app is not loading properlyI am having issues with being able to see how many questions in each section I have left. I also cannot see each percentage anymore like I used to because it’s not updating. I don’t know if that’s the update issue or what but I would like to know how many questions I have left to do so I can plan accordingly. I would give it five stars but it’s not loading well, it kicks me out after five minutes or while I’m doing a test. I hope this issue gets fixed soon..Version: 6.5.7
✓ App problems but other than that I few like this is very helpful (when it is working)I purchased the full version and it was great until 2 days before my test. The program is now running slow and not loading test and test scores. It remains on the screen like it is going to give the results or the next test but it never comes up. 😬.Version: 6.3.4
