The developers appear to rush out upgrades to capitalise on every calendar event we have. These ill conceived upgrades cause endless problems for a large number of players. Support sends out cut and paste responses which aren't helpful. If you are prepared to invest a huge amount of time and money in a game you'll be able to buy your way out of some of the problems. If you want a game to simply play this will be the source of endless frustration. You can play a simple version of the game ignoring the contests and quests (most of which you won't be able to compete in anyway as it's likely you won't have the update you need to participate) but if it is the competitive angle of games that jazzes you I would steer clear of this one. There has been one opportunity, via the winning of tokens, to make friends (ideally required to receive necessary gifts) away from Facebook. If you are not a Facebook user you will struggle. You get a bonus reward if you finish under a set time limit and I wait to be sure I could do everything in time. Then I discovered it required giving gifts to “friends” under level 12. I was too high level for the random invite gift to offer new players to me. (I used over 200 trying). And their are no active boards to ask on. That quest is dead and impossible to complete. ✓ Ridiculous game after updateThis was a fairly fun game. Compared to other games, this game is a bit aggressive on in app purchases but I guess it’s a strategy. Recently the game became ridiculously unreasonable to make tasks became mission impossible. It changed port tasks from usually over 12 hours to finish to 3-5 hours period to complete. My sister who got me into playing BB asked BB support for help and they just told her to “keep trying”. She now can’t get into the game at all so has stopped trying. Today my husband and I were doing the a Merry Christmas event. We had got half way through the quests and had put in quite a lot of time and effort to get there so we could get the big prize at the end, only to find that the game had kicked us right back to the start. I also enjoyed visiting other people's cities. Like another reviewer said, having to build supply chains makes it more interesting to begin with than other, similar games. However, after a while the game begins to feel frustratingly slow. I play for a few minutes several times a day and it now takes me over a week to achieve any kind of milestone, such as purchasing a new territory or constructing a new building. ✓ Shocking customer service.A very good game or it was. It is full of bugs no update in over a year. Players are accused of cheating when it’s the bugs in game that are the problem. It is best when you play in a corporation with friends now you can’t take part in team games as GI as removed most of your friends so you can’t play in a corporation anymore. Told to be patient but this latest bug goes back to December last year & no sign it’s being corrected. No compensation for all the problems yet you have to keep paying.
