✓ Pop up happyThis game would be more enjoyable if I wasn’t CONSTANTLY bombarded by pop up ads. I get it, you want my money. I don’t need a reminder of your “specials” every 5 minutes while I’m playing. It makes the game unplayable and irritating. Do you guys even read these? Or update the app? Perhaps this game just isn’t getting the attention it should be anymore. Could be an awesome game... buuuuut it isn’t. Also, the “wishes” you get from buildings instead of just a money system is stupid. I have almost no money all the time, it’s hard to earn enough to progress in any kind of timely fashion... disappointing, I remember this game being better a few years ago..Version: 6.5.2
✓ Fed upI loved this game when I first started to play, only problem now seems to be finding yourself stuck, unable to progress because a building has not been upgraded but unable to upgrade because a task that requires the building upgrade is not complete. The number of times a task has to be completed before a restored building can be used is getting ridiculous. Like a previous reviewer has commented tasks are becoming too expensive; in most tasks it takes too many resources unless you buy gems or money from the bank and that has got very expensive too. My friends have not had the patience with the game I have had and have now stopped playing, I am on the verge of doing the same..Version: 6.4.1

✓ Starts fun but then turns into a constant money pitEvery time you play you will be barraged with special offers that cost gems... every new area is set up so that it’s really painfully slow until you cave and blow gems into storage or to build things you can’t build otherwise but are required to move on. I don’t mind having the option to speed things up for cash but here it’s darn near required. Be careful where you click as you will spend gems without knowing it. And expect constant requests to keep providing reviews to help them milk their cash cow.Version: 6.5.1

You shouldn’t make it so difficult to achieve goals like building plans that take you forever to gather. Why do you need over 100 of these to make a mansion? 2. ✓ Be Prepared to Spend a Lot of MoneyThis game has absolutely beautiful graphics. That's the reason I gave it a star. Other than that, game play is very slow unless you want to pay for gems with real money, and they aren't cheap. Also the game forces you to add friends from Facebook which I think is very intrusive, and took me many months to share the game with people I don't know on Facebook. An update was released today and I dutifully downloaded it, only to find that all my friends had been deleted from the game. When I contacted support, they told me to invite more friends and were otherwise very disinterested and closed my case. For instance: 1st adventure: complete the exact same task 20 times (for gold medal) with a fifteen minute timer slowing it all down. Then move on to the 2nd adventure: exact same tasks as before for 25 repetitions. And so on for another 20 "adventures " or so. Each area gets worse with no real effect on the main storyline. ✓ Love it, but...Update over a year later... knocking it down another star. They fixed the spending gems part with an 'are you sure?' feature. Happy about that. But the pop ups and long play to achieve anything is worse. Over 15 pop ups in the first ten minutes of play. Plus the requirement to use Facebook contacts to complete important quests drives me to not play. I will not hook to my Facebook account or bother my friends with constant invites. I should have the option to terminate those quests that require such actions. This game is a great way to veg out for short spurts of time if you can handle the frustration of never getting anywhere. ✓ Lack of UnderstandingI've used this app for some years now and still have the huge problem from the manufacture. Frequently during the day a pop up happens wanting you to use you gems that you have bought or collected. This happens to pop up when you don't want and right in the centre of the screen which then you click by accident. So all you gems you don't want to use are gone. I've spoken to the manufacture and all they say is sorry/ tuff nothing we what to do to change this and the gems are gone. How rude to see that they set this up that you buy, use by accident when not wanting to, and all you get is stuffed. ✓ Patience, patienceUnless you spend a fortune on Gems and other items, this game will last forever. When you catch up a little, a new update comes out and puts you farther behind. It is really a challenge to formulate a strategy and keeps one occupied for a long, long time. There are too many useless tasks that have to be done repetitively. Many are a complete waste of time. As soon as you complete one useless task ten times, you are required to complete it fifteen more times. A complete waste of time after a while. It has been months since I wrote this review and they keep asking me to rate. I have been suckered into completing steps to the Ancient Portal 40 times hoping each would be the last. It is a laborious task. Now they want me to do it again. No way! I was finally suckered into hoping a few more steps would get me something but I was fooled again. Never try to complete the portal or complete any of the trips to other lands. A complete waste of time. I would like to change the number of stars to 1/2 but cannot. ✓ Second reviewPlayed awhile, complained about glitches that prevent me from doing all the features. The developers didn’t care until after my last review here and then asked me for more specifics which I was never able to connect with them to clarify. Been playing a long time. Its been super slow progress and monotonous. Maybe it would be better or faster progress if I could connect with friends or complete tasks that don’t work. Literally spent 3 weeks trying to get enough “money” to expand as there was literally nothing else to do. Then after expanding still nothing to do but try to amass an unbelievable amount again to expand or else to destroy enemy camps but those require tasks that take months (I play multiple times daily btw). The farm went well for awhile but then it turns into a repetitive money hog. You need specific items like currently I need cheese to get the stuff to be able to complete any task on the farm- to get cheese you need oranges to do that you have to keep planting mystery trees and cross your fingers. Rarely get oranges yet couple months ago when I needed cocoa for everything all I got was oranges for weeks. Just wastes time and resources- endlessly. Then it costs so much to import the required lumber and concrete from mainland as its not available at the farm so it eats up money that you need for expanding.... again just endlessly repetitive and slow progress overall. ✓ The Tribez halloween event with castlesIf you've played The Tribez and participated in any of the events, (eg. halloween, valentine's day, etc.) then you know what this game feels like. I currently have about 8 quests with 7 of them requiring me to search the same buildings over and over. And those quests also need me to click the battle button every 6min so so I can kill bad guys for ACTIVATORS. Yes activators are back, and nearly every quest revolves around them. Same as The Tribez events... you get the items reasonably easy but then spend forever trying to get activators. To me they took the bad parts of The Tribez and turned it into a game..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Facebook only way to add friendsSadly, this game was recently ruined when GI decided to force players to ask for friends via Facebook only. Previously we could add friends by game id. Without any warning all friends added by id were deleted. If GI is happy to make such a huge change that impacts how players interact and make progress WITHOUT WARNING then they are willing to do it more than once. Even if you do add friends via FB they will be deleted if you don't visit them for 3 days in a row. Just be aware of what you're getting into with this game and don't spend money if you choose to play. You will regret it. I do not recommend any GI game..Version: 1.3.1

It's obvious the creators just want you to spend money, they do not make any attempt at updating the game based on the reviews. It's just not that fun any more. Graphics are great, cute little people running around wishing for various items. It just takes a long time to complete quests because quests require a large number of requirements. Several of my complaints are: getting food from the pig farm is frustrating because to get the largest amount costs the most gold 7,500, just does not fit with the rest , getting plans to build more residence is another problem, can't get the diagrams from existing buildings. One main problem is that to get a requirement it can only be attained from one place. And sometimes you may start a quest and get nothing from the abandoned wizards tower..Version: 6.4.1

✓ Need to review the fairness of the races.Hey guys, you need to review your logarithms on selecting teams in the races. I have a great bunch of team racers however, they are not 100 levels or above. We started a race yesterday and the team with pretty much all level 100s plus have already completed the race and beat the fire out of us on the first day of the race. I think that the winning team would prefer to race against another team that will give them some competition instead of completely destroying teams who may not have but one or two level 100’s. As a player on the tablet version, I am finding it frustrating when the game glitches, kicks you out and you have to start the same thing over and over again. I agree with the other comments about only being able to add friends and allies that have been linked to your facebook account, you shouldn't restrict users and force them to use only one platform to connect and get more neighbours. Some of the tasks seem to take forever to obtain the items required for simple and little upgrades to the storage barns. And takes too long to obtain the correct amount of coins required to complete certain tasks (early in the game you have to raise 100K to place a statue, I am still trying to raise the funds to place this). I asked the advice of the help about how to upgrade a certain section of the storage facilities to be told to complete the tasks from bottom to top. Would be more helpful to have the tasks the other way around, so you can see what the oldest task that is still to be completed is at the top, so it doesn't get missed. Other than that, a good game, you can go in and out of and you don't have to use money, although I have nearly been caught out a good few times when the ads pop up and I have tapped on the screen by mistake, good job you have to enter your password to complete any transaction..Version: 6.4.1

✓ Fun at FirstI loved this game at first. It moved at a good pace, and you could spend money if you wanted, but you didn’t have to. As you advance in level, though, things gets just more and more tedious - takes a lot of money and collection items to do stuff and it just seems incredibly unbalanced. Also, I hate it when there are tasks you have to have FB friends join in order to complete. ✓ HummusI do like the game but so many cons to it. For Windows version there hasn't been any update what so ever, all rearming cost gold and its a lot when u don't make much at $6000+ where for the IPad and phone it cost food to rearm. To get the defense level I need, i need to build a defense building, to build the defense building, I have to have a certain amount of lumber. ✓ GrindingStarted playing and loved it, but it's getting to be such a trudge. Hundreds of items needed to complete quests/collections, only to find you have to do it all again straight away. The drop rate on the items you need is very low. For example, you need to rebuild into villas to do this you need 135 drawings, the drop rate for drawings is one every couple of days if you are lucky. That's a lot of work for just one quest considering you need to complete many quests to advance in the game.
