✓ Not what i would expect in a Gangstar gameThe previous Gangstar game had much better customisation, more missions and overall is still the Better game. However New Orleans has a small story and is very boring, yes the map is cool but what can you do other than the main and side missions. You cant sell vehicles, You cant go online. The vehicles are a pain to get. Overall the game once had potential but over time that potential disappeared because people got to the end of the game in days and found nothing else to do, so people stopped playing the game. The only way to save the game is a big update but i think you should start working on a new Gangstar game, one that doesn’t use the success of the series but takes pride in its success. These days you need an online mode and a good story either as one mode or two modes, Gangstar Vegas cannot keep the Gangstar series standing on its own anymore because it is not up to modern standards. We need a new Gangstar game to replace the old one and improve on its Glory.Version: 1.8.0

✓ Amazing GameThe game is good, but the only problem I have with it is the optimisation for the IOS version. I know this game was made for both the PC and IOS and it's just been a couple of months since its release. I think it's not properly working since whenever I play the game and about 3 playthroughs in the app suddenly closes itself. This has been very annoying because whenever I'm close to finishing a mission the game suddenly crashes/closes and I wasted 4-5 energy for nothing. Hopefully you guys will fix this since I might not be the only one who's getting this problem..Version: 1.1.0

It’s not the amount of ad’s that is the problem, it’s when I get particular ones that I can’t return to the game from, no back button is shown when the ad is finished, meaning I have to press the home button on my iPad and start the whole ordeal again, only for it to happen again a short time later! ✓ Unresponsive Customer SupportI have contacted their customer support 3 times and it has been almost 3 months with no response. I absolutely loved Gangstar Vegas but have not been able to get past one of the beginning missions because of a gameplay error that will not allow me to select the spirit jar to get the car I need for the mission. This is because it says I already have the car because I’ve already clicked on the spirit jar that gives me the car. But everytime I load the game it takes me to the screen and tells me to click on a spirit jar that is non existent. I wish I could say I enjoyed the game because I praised the vegas one and told everyone I knew to play it. I’m more than disappointed in how I have been ignored by their support team and hope that I might be able to play this game in the future but I have no faith in their team doing anything..Version: 1.9.1

✓ Dear GameloftMy iphone X runs this with around 30fps and 10fps during intense fights. Needs a online connection to play. Gameloft is all about money now. In GS vegas, they reduced the amount of gems rewarded to players during events, and reduced the values on all cars so that vehicles like MC4 can not be sold for 0.88mil every 30mins using a refreshing bug they cant fix. In this game, they introduced waiting time for jars to open along with ads. They did optimised screen for Iphone X users to appeal modern and fixed various bugs, but i hope they do understand how crucial a good gaming experience is to modern gaming. Mobile game is going to the biggest gaming platform in the future, and currently introducing more and more computer and console quality game compatible on mobile devices. I loved this company and I want to see more games like Asphalt 5, Real football and Gangstar Rio that once ruled over App store. Innovation and Change; Thank you Gameloft..Version: 1.5.1

✓ Bugs, Bugs and 🐛Soo game have a nice concept but… Lets start with jars 🏺 you get a jar every time you finish a mission. To open a jar it takes time however you can speed it up by using diamonds (realmoney) or by watching ads which is NOT WORKING. I literally watched 5 ads in a row and it didn’t want to reduce time for once. Next if you ride too fast cars will randomly span in front of you… If you jump on a roof of one floor building you wont be able to see any of the pedestrians which means NO KILLING. And the WORST possible thing is energy. To play missions you need energy. To be successful in the game you need to own turfs. I am at lvl 7 owned 4 turfs, went to bed guess what? All turfs taken. Now i try to regain them back but HOW with 20 energy. Again you can spend real money to replenish but is it worth? I guess all this 4-5 starts is GAMELOFT hacking appstore…. SAD!.Version: 2.1.0
✓ Good. But could be better...First off, Gameloft makes some of the best mobile games out there! And most of them are free! This review isn’t all rants or complaints. .. However, most of these games suffer 3 things in common: Glitches, Bugs, & finding ways to get you (the consumer) to buy something. But the fact that most of these games are free compensates these problems. Most of the time... For this game, it is very fun, addicting, easy to understand & adapt and visually beautiful! Gameloft has definitely outdone themselves in terms of open world games with this one! But once you keep on playing, the flaws start to show itself more and more. From your character getting stuck to walls, to being randomly teleported if you hit the right obstacle such as a trash can or bush, to the game itself glitching out on your purchases or points or even messing with your inventory. This is something I hope the developers will fix for each update being made down the line... As it does start to get annoying. Overall, this is a fun game! No where near Rockstar GTA level, but it is half way there! But once they do decide to step up their game, Gameloft will eventually dominate the mobile game market..Version: 1.5.1

✓ So Many Ads!I started playing this when it was first released, I quit it after a month and because I felt it needed updates on experience/money etc. I recently came back to it a few days ago and I am bamboozled! 😂 Let me tell you if your reading this, the amount of ads in this game is pathetic, it completely ruins the immersion in the game. It has a fantastic location set, New Orleans, LA and I’m a New Orleans native so I fell in love when I first played, back then it didn’t have any adds whatsoever and I understood that developers had to cash in. They did so by offering in game purchases that would pop up every now and then which is okay on my end. But now..even doing the simplest thing such as opening the map to pick a mission or check your location will grant you a unskipable add or 5 sec wait before you can skip type of add. Even when first starting a mission they will hit you with one. The amount of desperation for money for these folks is pathetic. Adds everywhere at every given opportunity. ✓ Love this game but...I really enjoy this game, and have already put in about $10 of optional in-app purchases within the three whole days I’ve played this. Having just finished my first house upgrade, I went back to see what changed and the app will no longer open. I reached out to support, who suggested the same troubleshooting tips 3 times in a row over the course of two days, and then told me that the are not updating this app anytime in the near future due to demand for other future releases and recommended I try another game by them (which baffles me, considering the three-year-older Vegas had an update three days ago). Having spent a decent amount of money so far, I’m extremely disappointed that there was no fix for the game that crashes before I can open it and that the only solution is “search our studio on the app store and try out another one” with a promise of a “boost of in-game currency” for the app i do choose to download. ✓ Updates messed it upNeeds more mission variety--try bringing back parachute and heist missions like in vegas-- and co op. Also give players back the ability to use multiple weapons per mission. Lack of variety and enclosing updates like the one weapon per mission one show just how rushed this game was. And in limiting players options, you made it worse. This is an insult to it’s predecessor and the series. Also please bring back the ability to replay story missions. Plus please have hostile criminals spawn in the open world. Original setting, and you screw up. Combined with how you took away and minimized every opportunity to earn in game currency without micro transactions and I am considering uninstalling. Started out a good dame and you messed it up with updates. Plus no new updates have come out. Do something with it! Note: adding this in summer 2018. Still no noticeable update on this. ✓ Broken gameIt’s embarrassing how after years of being out the game hasn’t improved one bit. The game is the same as when it was first released back in 2017. The weekly reward system skips days, so you won’t receive any cash or diamonds. They’ll give you the 2 star vehicles but who really needs those. Ads pop up every time you open the map, clearly gameloft isn’t making enough revenue out of this broken game. Bugs, glitches and crashes are still a thing. ✓ My complaintsI would be fine with the wanted level if cop couldn't find you in a matter if seconds, and I'm fine with the amount of cops when i'm just wandering around, but when i'm doing a mission and I need to lose the cops, i'm being chased by several dozen of them. It isn't helped by the fact that none of the cars have any traction, so when I make turn I slow down, the cops catch up and i'm forced to drive for another solid five minutes before i'm out of range again. An example of this is the mission where you have to "take pickles off the menu" , and the start of that mission is just atrocious, every one takes way too little damage, and my med kits and bulletproof vest get eaten up way to easily in pretty much any mission that has a large crowd of enemies, and so far the upgrades to increase your health and defense haven't done me any good. I'm trying to like the game, but it's difficult when i'm reintroduced to my problems with this game almost every other mission..Version: 2.0.0

✓ StuckFrom first sights of the game it looks really cool, good graphics, smooth gameplay and a lot of stuff to do. However!. During the second mission my phone ran out of battery, once I charged my phone and returned to the game, the story keeps telling me to open the jar to obtain the car for the mission, but I already have the car so I am completely stuck. I have deleted and re-downloaded it and am still at that same point. No option of restarting the game or even trying to get rid of the story text. So for that reason I have given you a 3. ✓ Decent but a huge Time ConsumerGames like these that combine the sandbox/open world style with a mission based storyline (think GTA) are supposed to be time wasters but the level of time consumption in this game is absolutely ridiculous. It’s as if they do want you (the player) to be playing the game and instead be waiting, bored, for your spirit jar to be available for opening. It’s absolutely ridiculous and angers me tremendously. 8hours to open what essentially is a pack to get mediocre weapons and gear? I understand that some spirit jars are able to be opened instantly, but they either require 200 gems, most of which you pay for, a 30 second ad or previously have opened up to 30 other spirit jars. The acquisition of gear is this game is quite atrocious as the method above is the only way to get guns, thugs and cars. There should be some quest rewards that include weapons, spirit jars, thugs and cars and spirit jars should be able to be opened instantly..Version: 1.5.1
✓ Has great potentialThe game is amazing with its story’s and cars and such but I think for it to be at the best version of its self I should be able to decide wether I want the island or the private island next to plantations or many other house and I’d have to pay for it with normal money and also I think that you should add more interactive stores and buildings, for example the bank I should be able to come at anytime and rob it and I would immediately get 4 stars also for the police I think that you should have them be capable of shooting from the chopper and they should have boats and if I get caught I should be able to have the options pay the bail or watch the add or spend my time in prison and I think the game overall should be interactive which could help you using the adds for example you could say that the car has to have an amount of fuel and it can be recharged at the gas stations also multiplayer would be an amazing addition sorry if I’m asking for too much but I believe the things I said would make the game much better thank you for your time.Version: 2.1.1

✓ Good but needs a lot of work to make the game betterI really love the game where you can be on a high speed chase or doing races or being kinda a hitman but the mission where you kill the monster thing for money I feel like no people should be there and cars do that you can just have that and it makes it frustrating when your fighting it and you accidentally kill like 6 people during it and you are getting chased down by the cops and when ever you want to like get more diamonds there should be like daily races for those when like if you get like 1st place you get 500 diamonds and I know that seems like a lot but we can do many upgrades instead of waiting for like 5 weeks to get 50 diamonds if you cloudless fix and add these thing I will give a higher rating but currently it is a 2.5 rating.Version: 2.1.0
✓ Good game, but could use an update.See, this game is a pretty good and fun game. Graphics are nice and gameplay is smooth. I think that since this is based after gangs and stuff, it should have more gang-related stuff. All you can really do is do missions, kill and run over people, and escape the police. Sure, it’s fun for the first few days but then it gets a bit boring. I think you should be able to play with other people such as your friends or just be able to do stuff like rob people/places, and be able to enter things such as the banks, apartments, shops, etc. and be able to interact with things and giving our character a voice. Also, lowering the prices for things such as boosters. I mean, cmon. 100 bucks for a tank and 2 machine guns? Really? That should’ve been 50 dollars, tops. Most bundles are outraged. Other than that, great game. Edit: My game has been stuck on 23/80 percent for the last few hours. It goes from 61 tops right back to 23 and tells me the game has had a connection error and to check my internet and retry. This isn’t the case or at least hasn’t worked because I have tried both data and WiFi more than twice over the past 6 hours and it hasn’t worked. I’ve also tried closing the tab which would usually work and restarting my phone, to the same result. I have seen other people with the same problem, please fix it!.Version: 1.8.0

✓ Needs updatesThere is some serious changes that need to be made to your game, like the ad problem and lack of updates. When I first downloaded the game and played it for awhile there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with it and it wouldn’t play any ads unless I chose to watch them voluntarily, until I started noticing that it would show them abruptly left right and centre, even in the middle of gameplay which I couldn’t believe was real. I previously left a thorough review describing this problem and got no response from any of the Gameloft reps, it seems like this game is being left behind yet meanwhile their last game Gangstar: Vegas is much older and is still being updated. It doesn’t make sense that they would leave a game they made to be a lot better than its predecessor, when it has so much potential. I would really like a response to this with more updates to the game, as it was once one of my favourites to play as an open world concept game. Please take the time to understand and consider this feedback and resolve this in the best way possible so many players can get back into enjoying this mobile masterpiece seamlessly..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Wasted potentialIt could of been a great game, however... it is a buggy cash grab capitalising on the success of previous Gangstar games. It is full of micro transactions and loot boxes, you can only have a maximum of 4 and at the moment they take up to 3h to open (I would not be surprised if later this it increases again as when you start they are all 5 minutes), their content is vital as there are no shops and progress in territory mini games are restricted to certain item that you don’t have. You don’t make money from missions, the only sources of income are the loot boxes and conquered territory which might of been ok if each territory didn’t yeald only 480 currency every 7 hours. Plus the inventory is terrible: you can only refine your search through three categories: weapons, vehicles or gang. Looking for a helicopter? Have fun scrolling through every vehicle in the game in a massive, buggy, horizontal inventory. On the plus side: this dose at least show how much diversity there is in both guns and vehicles. TO BAD THEY ARE ALL LOCKED BEHIND LEVELS AND LOOT BOXES!!!!! As I said waisted potential..Version: 1.5.1
✓ Not thereObviously we’re all looking for another option separate from GTA. This isn’t it. The mechanics are incredibly wonky, you’ll randomly climb up things when you’re not even close to them, slam into imaginary walls when driving (in a race), and worst of all try to shoot at somebody you can’t select. If that’s not bad enough, the upgrades to your mansion do absolutely nothing. After waiting a few weeks to collect “mansion points” I finally upgraded to level 3 which gave me nothing but a working tv and a cleaner dining room. I would rather spend time in the plantation houses that have more space. The only reason I give 3 stars is for some reason I keep playing it. One more thing, if I have completed all missions in an area at gold level, I shouldn’t have to keep coming back to maintain my territory. At most enemy raids and new missions are needed to make it reasonable to keep a territory. Meh..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Not it’s predecessorWhat Gangstar Vegas brought us in an exciting world/map, REAL story mode, interactivecapabilities, this game fails massively. The world/map is the biggest thing that I dislike. New Orleans just isn’t a visually exciting city like Vegas or Rio de Janeiro. Honestly, one of my favorite parts about Vegas was the ability to fly planes & choppers from the airport which is unavailable in this game. With the TINY energy bar that really only allows you to play one mission every 20 minutes, there’s no incentive to do anything other than free roam on the very boring map. The map in Vegas was so interactive!!!! You could go to casinos, clubs, rooftop bars, you could actually invade the military base, you could even do dirt races in the arena (although that was taken out)!!! New Orleans tried to be as different from GTA as possible which was really unnecessary. People aren’t interested in temporarily gaining territory only to randomly lose it back after a couple days, we want a deep story mode that gets add-ons over time. I think the mansion island feature is cool though, its nice to have a home base..Version: 1.9.1
✓ Amazing game, however...It is a very good game, however there is one problem. After playing the entire story, the game closed. I reopened it and on the loading screen, it always stops at server 23 out of 80 and tells me to check internet connection (which is connected) and try to check back at a later time. ✓ Can’t connect to serverThe game was fun but getting some of the weapons and upgrading private mansion was a bit challenging, but I was still able to get the things I wanted. The only problem I have is that every time I try to enter the game it says connecting to server and it goes to 62/80 and then it glitches back to 23/80 and stays there so I can’t get into the game please fix and I will give 5 star. ✓ It’s a free game…we get it…but it’s far too many Ads.The game is buggy. It has great graphics, okay controls but could use an update. For a mobile game Gangstar New Orleans definitely delivers that console style gameplay. Love the open world aspect though the map could be a little bigger. Also, having only 20 bolts of energy is clearly not enough when missions take at least 8-10 bolts of your energy so you can only play about two missions before exiting the game…you have very few ways of earning any energy so in my opinion there should be at least 50 bolts of energy and there should be more ways of recharging without having to bombard yourself with ads…It’s a free game…we get it…you get paid off a free game by making us watch ads…we get it…but it’s far too many Ads. I can’t even access the map menu without having to watch an Ad. It’s one thing to have to watch ads for diamonds or to unlock things but there too many to the point to where it effects the players enjoyment...which is why I uninstalled it..Version: 2.1.0

✓ Fast network , but it still says request time out!!The game looks really cool and it is also a nice game. But once i was playing the game , the automatically closed and when i tried to enter it was “connecting to the sever 62/80, “after this it comes back to “connecting to the server 23/ 60.” Then it say that “ Request time out! ✓ Massive amount of bugs and adsThis game would be fine if it didn’t have so many bugs. The latest 1 that caused me a problem is that if you have a fully upgraded item and participate in the events that happen, if that item is a potential prize and u land on that prize, it will remove your fully upgraded item for a lvl 1 item. It has existed a long time. I went on forums to report this months ago but for whatever reason they dont let me post even though i made an account, idk if its because its a new account, but i could only reply to posts and that has never changed. Bit either way, this bug along with many others are very obvious bugs that need to be fixed. But now that i have played the game a while, i had a fully upgraded 4 star motorcycle... a motorcycle was a prize in the event and it was replaced with a lvl 1 4 star motorcycle. I immediately closed the game to post here and im deleting it after i finish. Along with the massive amounts of bugs there are many forced ads... games with ads u are forced to watch are always questionable as to how long it will be enjoyable. And these ads can be long without the ability to close some until its over and some ads cause problems... u can watch ads for certain prizes and i do that sometimes, but being forced to watch ads randomly is never a good sign. So basically im done with the game after the bug affected my game significantly, it was fun to get on a couple times a day but in the end its problems will make u stop playing..Version: 1.7.0
