Lifeline: Crisis Line for Negative User Reviews

Lost progress bugI've played through two other Lifeline games and enjoyed them both. I've recommended them to friends, colleagues and students. While this game seems to follow the same formula for success I began to realize the character dialog is interchangeable across games. Alex, Esposito, etc all have the same quirks, patterns and pop-culture references. I admit I was a little disappointed in the flatness of the character development but the larger issue I had with this particular game is that it lost my progress. Twice. I didn't die and a narrative branch didn't end. I just put away my phone, opened the app and my progress had been lost. Games are an economy of attention and my time is too valuable to be wasted. I got what I needed from these games but won't play them anymore because I don't want to risk losing progress..Version: 1.0.0

I feel cheatedWho in this day and age writes a totally text based game? Being severely dyslexic, I feel like I have wasted my money..Version: 1.0.0

Great Story..... Overpriced.I love choose your adventure paths and whatnot. The person on the other line seems to to be realistic, so I’m glad they added personality. There’s no graphics (at least not in the story I ended up doing) which means if you’re looking for visuals this isn’t the game for you. 8/10 at the story, but the pricing really lowered it down to a 6/10.Version: 1.0.0

Too much fantasySo far I've played all of Lifeline series. The first one about Taylor was ohmygodamazing! Everytime I saw the notification I grabed my phone eagerly, and I was really sad when it was over. BTW the design and UI and music were the best. Then there was something about a girl and there was already too much fantasy, I couldn't even finish it. And in this one, the Crisis Line, again, too much fantasy. From the beginning. I can't force myself to keep playing. People, please, make it more lifelike. I liked the snow, the cold, the surviving. Something that could've happen in REAL life. No more green eyes and clones and mages..Version: 1.0.0

Too wordy, tried my patience, but...I am an avid fan of Lifeline's Green Series as well as White Out. This one seemed to try too hard to be interesting, but pushed the limits of credibility. I deleted it after working through it for a couple of days. That was a year ago. I'm going to give it another go. Maybe I'm in a better frame of mind to dally with it. Will update my rating if this experience is better....Version: 1.0.0

MehCompared to the last two lifelines this is my second favorite the first being the best I loved the murder theme with supernatural and some throwbacks to lifeline 2 but the ending seriously not he lived happily ever after and theirs no way to change that horrible ending the ending sucked it was good up till then I mean the first one had a good ending and theirs no way to stop it like to find the crystals I'm really disappointed.Version: 1.0.0

LifelineThis is a total waste of time and money. Spend money to spend more money!.Version: 1.0.0

Really disappointedAll previous reviews are correct in their assessment of this game. It's just not as good as previous ones and most annoying are the notifications which do not work correctly, fast move not that fast and the story jumping back when re logging in. Come back Taylor, all is forgiven;).Version: 1.0.0

Wonderful game still could be better tho!I found this one to tease my lore senses by putting in lots of nods to past games. While fun and clever that does make it confusing to new players. However my biggest issue is I had a really hard time believing a cop would be sharing so much information with someone he never met so it took a while for me to feel immersed. Also for god sakes if the catch is they're texting me make it seem believable like he texted me during a situation where his gun was drawn and like really guys????? Please remember small details like that cuz we have to imagine this in our heads and he is just texting at all the wrong times. I love lifeline and will continue to play but I felt like I should give a little feed back after being with it so long. Looking forward to the next game! Much love!.Version: 1.0.0

Good Game but Stop with the AdsAs the title says, great game but stop with ads, incredibly annoying on a game I’ve paid for. It’s also the same in the devs other games, quit it!.Version: 1.0.0

Good game. Too pricey. This is the worst look for a company. As your popularity rises, you increase the price of the games. It is a very cliche and from our, the players' point of view, corrupt. I feel used, such a cool storyline, I bought each. They're just going up in price, next thing you know, you're paying 15 dollars for a storyline made of of text messages by a company called 3 Minute Games. Not that I will. I'd love to read the rest, but I'll be darned if I let a company use me while doing it..Version: 1.0.0

BoringI did the first play and slightly enjoyed it . I finished the story and wanted more but I was let down. There only ONE story . With the same character and plot line. Boring and not worth the price. Well the games fun but it should have another story to do or the same story but another characters view.Version: 1.0.0

Lacks iPhone X Support, Notifications BrokenTitle is pretty self explanatory; the size of the content seems to be stuck around iPhone 6 sizing, and my notifications are entirely broken (messages I’ve read show as notifications, new notifications don’t come). I hate to leave a poor review because the game itself is great, alongside the rest of the Lifeline series. But the the quality-of-life things I’m accustomed to seeing from Lifeline are completely lacking in this game..Version: 1.0.0

Lifeline: Crisis LineThis is game is the worst waste of time and money!.Version: 1.0.0

Good, but theres a small issue…The game seems to be delaying, so i close out of it, open again, (and it sometimes has me redo one of my answers again) and it might or might not stop delaying, im not talking about the realistic-ness of the time frame, im talking about the fact that it seems to have a glitch. And sometimes it comes up with an empty page, and then may also take time to load. Which leads me to using fast mode, story line is so good so far! Also a repeat in the story line I’ve noticed..Version: 1.0.0

Test on screen is jerkyThe text scrolls too fast. Unlike the other lifeline games, I cannot stop it from scrolling to new messages by holding the screen in place. It constantly jumps to the next message at the bottom of the screen, which brings me to the next con..... SO MANY MESSAGES! It seems like an extremely overly wordy game as compared to the others. I feel like I’m reading boring, random news on the internet as opposed to playing a compelling Lifeline game..Version: 1.0.0

DO NOT BUY 4 A Watch NOT SUPPORTEDI bought this yesterday and it installed on my phone just fine. I cannot get it to show up on my Apple Watch. I eventually went to technical support and got a notice saying “goodbye” and that everything will be removed in November from stores. It is December and they are still taking my money? I want my money back!.Version: 1.0.0

Not one of the better onesThe story is kind of bland for this lifeline. It's also more clear the writer isn't as familiar with this setting. Stick with the other games unless you're just a die hard fan of these. I wanted more... but I couldn't stay interested in this character over someone with personality like the others.Version: 1.0.0

DécueCe nmest pas un jeu de hidden objects, vraiment décue je veux qu'on me rembourse mon argent!.Version: 1.0.0

Good game but needs bug fixes.Good game however it stopped my gameplay and sent me back to the beginning of the game. This hasn't happened in any other lifeline game. And it's a real shame because I was really looking forward to finding out what happened to Alex. Hopefully this is resolved soon..Version: 1.0.0

Too hard.Ok every time I leave the Pearson corp. I die from Heckler following me. I stake out the place and if I say keep following Heckler he shoots me and if I say go to the address and go in the house I die again, and I have tried all possibilities for the house part and I still die. There are no walkthroughs on the game and when I do they aren't even near the part I'm at. I need help..Version: 1.0.0

Crisis LineDifferent but boring.Version: 1.0.0

What the heck???Is this seriously considered a "game"?? You just read and re-read the same sentences over and over. Its like a Choose-your-own-adventure book, but no matter what you choose, you always get the same "adventure" (and I use that word loosely).Version: 1.0.0

Not very well-written for a text-based gameI'm not all that impressed so far... Have played it for a few days and while at first I liked it, I've been increasingly put-off by various types of bad writing. Sometimes it's dialogue choices that are stupid: e.g. Just after the character you're talking to tells you he is "freaking out", one of your dialogue options is "How are you not freaking out?". Why would I ask that when he's just said he is?! Maybe that would mean you should go with the other option, but in this case that was just as bad. Then there's the bits where you're getting typed messages from him while he's supposed to be running away from someone or having a conversation with a threatening person (you know they're typed because you've got the voice to text translation as well, which looks different, and so you have his typed commentary alongside his spoken words). It jarring enough that it immediately stops feeling like the situation is really happening. And probably worst of all, is that this character is an experienced detective, yet he immediately starts asking you, a helpline operator, how he should pursue his case, just because some weird things are happening. He basically says "Man, this stuff that's happening is weird, so I don't trust my detective skills any more - you'll have to make every decision for me!". That along with the horribly corny, "You're all I've got now, NAME" lines, adds up to a pretty non-compelling experience. I haven't got very far with it, but I don't think I want to waste any more time carrying on..Version: 1.0.0

MehhhhIs it over? Is that really the ending? Am I missing something? I've played all the other Lifeline games and honestly this one seems a bit longer, which I appreciate, but the ending? I feel like that was a total waste. What did I miss? Based on this one, I don't think I'll be buying any more. I like the format, I always appreciate the humor, but overall I'm disappointed..Version: 1.0.0

Great game, only so-so lifelineAs a game compared to others on the App Store, this one is 5/5 as a franchise. More specifically, to compare this one to other lifeline games, id sadly only give it a 3/5. The concept is great as a detective investigating a murder that includes some paranormal elements - very intriguing. At some points, I could not put the phone down and waited on edge for the next msg from detective Esposito. However, I noticed many response options given to us were very vague and didn't offer much to his story with examples like "I understand" (which can be selected multiple times). This leads me into my next issue, which is the Helpbot. I think a lot of my answers (and even the response options given) are catered to the fact you need to be compassionate or you'll be scolded by Helpbot. At one point I felt Alex needed some tough love but alas I pampered him because I knew Helpbot would love me for it. To end it off on a positive note, this game is rich full of different choices that may lead to death or survival. Also, another thing worth pointing out was the extremely fun interviewing/interrogating process in this specific lifeline game. Can't wait to play the next lifeline!.Version: 1.0.0

Boring gameHard to find your way around in the game. Developers screwed up making this garbage The other games are better.Version: 1.0.0

Sometimes frustratingSometimes the options it gives you are super limiting and frustraing and the path ends for seemingly no reason. The other annoying thing is that there aren’t any remotely halpy endings. I have played every single lifeline in the series and it always ends terrible, which makes the player feel like it was all a waste of time. Still, I give it three stars for being interesting and spooky..Version: 1.0.0
