✓ Addiction fadingWas a daily addict for ages but now I’ve lost the love. For whatever dumb reason they’ve made the bosses WAY too hard at level 240 and then had the brilliant idea to remove the power boosts to one a level? We could barely complete the earlier levels without using them and using diamonds and back up planes. Unless I’m missing a trick the game isn’t balanced at all anymore. Shame otherwise was one of my favourites until this update..Version: 19

✓ Terrible updateI’ve had this on my phone for over a year and previous updates have been ok although seem to slowly be moving to a more pay as you go model. The last update pretty much removes paying with fictional money and means to get further you have no choice but to buy gems as earning them takes ages. I’ve spent lots of real money over the last few months and feel cheated that I can no longer progress as I did before. I will delete it if nothing changes..Version: 1.13

I can't seem to play the game with my partner or friends on Facebook, even though I'm logged in and so are they it says they are offline and I'm offline even random people added it says they are offline so therefore I can't play with anyone of my friends. This needs fixing as it's false advertisement to say you can play co op with friends when you can't. Please change this so that we can all play with friends and family on Facebook. I’ve paid money for IAP and generally enjoy the game as it it is the best mobile schmup available and fun to play. However I can’t recommend this to new players. The developer team recently performed a mass ban on the player base, accusing its users of “decompiling and modifying game files” indiscriminately, and incorrectly. They ignored users complaints about this mistake, and when they sheepishly reverted the ban, did nothing to apologize to or recompense wrongly banned users. The team behind this game cannot be trusted to act in good faith for their customers. If you dedicate any time or money to this game just know you are at the whims of a volatile and wreck-less team that has no respect for their user base..Version: 39.0

✓ Great mechanics and ships ruined by economyI love the ship variety, the supers, the upgrades etc. however the “gem” economy leaves no real viable way to get some upgraded ships without dumping money into it. I enjoyed it at first and spent 1.99 on some stuff. But for me to get one of the best ships (gambit) I need 2900 gems. So that’s basically spend 20$ to get one ship, or grind for gems endlessly for a month. Yeah. No thanks, pass on both. My notes to the developer: * It’s a fun game but at least make there be a chance to craft ANY ship. I have 350 gambit cards, but can’t do anything but use them to upgrade. Or give me a gold option to buy any ship with. * The daily boxes are clearly rigged. It’ll start with nothing but great, useful cards in sight. Then somehow out of no where I’ll get a pack of brobot xp or something equally as disappointing and frankly deflating. Back to waiting 7 hours for the next...or buy another for gems. Oh wait. ✓ Lots of improvements to be made.After a day of playing I found that some common and very useful features are missing, Cloud back up Confirmation on if I really wanted to spend that money or if I just scrolled and the phone thought I selected it The extremely limited number and absurdly long cooldown time. Away for 10-12 hours and only half my life is back. Expand on that or ideally don't have that limitation not a issue in the first 20 levels but once your around 50 your pumping almost 10 veridian to play 1 match that you end up playing 3 times because the difficulties and stars required for the next area. Over the last year updates have changed it largely to an ad-playing and gambling game. Rewards are all random so no planning or development aspects and most rewards either play an advertisement or require a purchase. Often both! ✓ This is a great game, but.....This is a really enjoyable and addictive game but the problem with it is your energy that you need to play the game goes up really slowly, something like 1 every 10 min, ridiculous!! I want to play the game but can’t because I’ve got to wait ages to get more. If you want to buy more, your limited to 3 buys a day!!! 😲 what’s that about? Why when you finish a 3 Star level, do you get less coins than the 2 star? Fix these issues and it would be a 5 Star game. ✓ One MAJOR problemLove this game. First came in a long time I've downloaded and played more than a few days. In fact, it's so fun playing offline alone, online with ransoms I decided to let my son download it on his iPod so we can "friend" each other and play together!!!! Except.... that doesn't work. We added each other, show up on each other's friends list but neither of us ever show up online. Even when we are sitting right next to each other, both logged on. So now we have the game that neither of us can play with each other. ✓ Untrustworthy Game - Don’t spend moneyI spent a lot of money on this game over the years. Last week I uninstalled and reinstalled. Logged back in to Game Center and into my Apple ID but none of my progress and purchases updated. I raised a ticket with the game owners/designers support. Provided them screenshots of one of the higher stages I was up to, some screenshots of previous purchases and my Apple ID email so they can check purchase history but they have not provided any help or update. I even told them I only want some of the plane levels and other items, and we could close off the issue but nothing. No response. If I raise another ticket I get a response right away saying refer to other ticket but they never provide an update on my issue ticket. I raised a ticket today because the free gems from watching ads and passing levels weren’t adding up correctly. For example, I win 4 gems but they only add 3 to the total. Guess what?! ✓ What’s going on hereI love the game play, but there is major issues with the way the developers think. It’s neat that you released new planes but the only way you can get the Arcadia is by winning the weekly contest, and the top winners are always pay to win players! But now your going to make part of the daily treat up’s with the Arcadia missions?!?! 90% of the players don’t have, and can’t get that plane! Even if you buy all the required planes for the upgrade it’s still not purchasable. Silly shenanigans. Time to re think a lot of your layout on the next upgrade. Oh and all the cool graphic you see on the video of the hangar (plane selection) don’t exist. And they clearly zoomed in and went extra HD on the screen shots of game play. ✓ Was a good gameI have really enjoyed this game - up until this latest update! I liked building up the strength of my preferred plane and upgrading the hardware. This version has made a bit of a mockery of that. I can’t get the evolution cards I require to upgrade and have no value from the rewards set up (not a reward if there’s nothing of value to you). The universal cards I have held onto, waiting for an evolution upgrade to my plane, are no longer usable for this. Just a bit disappointing to be honest..Version: 21

✓ Fun for a while, but pay to winFun top-down shooter like Tiger Heli, 1942, the Raptor series, but with a permanent bro instead of a power-up that those other games use to boost firepower. Kind of bullet hell in some cases, but usually not so tense. Planes are interesting with varied super attacks, same with bros. Gameplay is very simple. Leveling up and progressing is not very clear, and becomes quite grind quickly, unfortunately. There is enough growth for free2play players to keep you engaged, although the “story” is quite convoluted and disjointed (we’re talking DOOM levels of story here). At some point, grinding out the necessary resources to level both the plane and the bros you want to use becomes tedious. There is a grind for most games these days (find me one that doesn’t), but the core feedback to the player here is: stop and just pay for what you want, or you won’t progress for months. Not like, wait until the next event, but an indefinite good-luck grind. Good for a while, but easy to drop once the grind starts..Version: 27.1

✓ Fun but expensive to keep goingThe game is fun and it’s nice to pick a plane and watch it develop. They offer you all kinds of ways to pick up free coins and other stuff, but to get crystals you have to pay and pay a LOT. You need those crystals to upgrade you gear and the developers have certainly gotten greedy. They continue to make the levels harder so that you have to keep buying the crystals. Sure they will throw a few free crystals at you every now and then but they don’t amount to much and $$$$$ is what the game requires to keep advancing. Special planes are VERY hard to get and if you cannot win one, you have to buy it with crystals and man those suckers are expensive..Version: 28.1

✓ Not liking the new directionI used to really enjoy this game. I played it a lot and always paid for the monthly membership. It was well worth the price. Now I find I almost never open the app anymore. This new direction where you have to buy packs of unknown cards makes it really hard to upgrade your favorite planes. This new type of “any plane card” makes having the old ones not near as good. It’s already been moving to a pay to win style, and they seem to be doubling down on that. This game used to be skill to win with pay to save time and/or cosmetics. That’s a model I’m willing to pay for. Pay to win doesn’t give you the feeling of accomplishment. It makes everything boring and alienates a lot of players. Why do so many companies make this mistake and run the product into the ground. Welp it was fun while it lasted. I however find it really expensive to keep playing as I’ve already spent it total about 200 on a free game that I downloaded and the money keeps being applied to this game because of the fact it’s nearly impossible to get the green or blue crystal things in games not to mention that once you beat a level going back to it doesn’t give you any more coins. In a matter of a month I’ve managed to beat all that I could and then the levels ran out. The developers need to make this game updated quicker otherwise they’ll lose any more money from me and others I’m sure. ✓ Good Game but Pay/Play with Randos to WinI played this game for a while and I can say that just before the 2nd boss the game goes from "fun, doggy, shooter" to "OMG how many lasers are there?!?!?" I currently have 2 ships and neither of them have nearly enough health to make it past level 22. There are parts where it's almost impossible to navigate without taking a hearty chunk out of your health bar. I say that this is a pay to win because you could buy a ship with more health, or a higher ranked hero with gems or money. Also playing with randoms is horrible. You don't know if you're going to get a powerful ally or a person who is 3x less powerful than you are. Most times, it's the later. This game relies to heavily on repeating and grinding stages and/or playing them with other people..Version: 1.6.0
✓ Impossible to progressI'm at a point where it's not possible to progress. The boss level fights are basically impossible. I know it's a bullet hell game but there are some where you literally can't dodge the incoming fire or you are fixed to move through some lasers or whatever to dodge a swirly electric ball thing which takes half your health bar. I don't see how you can be expected to complete the level. I also lose energy when I try to play with someone and they don't turn up resulting in me losing. Some mechanics like the tracking laser are stupid. 9/10 you can't get away, you need to memorise the level to know the timing of it to have even a remote chance. Seem to be priced out of upgrading planes too. If you can't complete a new level you get sod all money. 40+ completions of an existing level is then needed for one upgrade level..Version: 1.6.0

✓ Lots to love but will now boycott this gameI have been playing Hawk FS on and off ever since this game was released. Its been a labour of love and it’s a lot of fun as vertical plane-based shooters go. But I have beef with the developers and those who support them. I will be kind and say they are less than stellar. Which brings me to this. We are over half way through the current racing event which has required a lot of time, effort and my own money to progress. It seems due to some technical issue on the game end, a lot of of the 250k active players (including me) have been banned for the remainder of it. The way this was handled was aggressively heavy handed (accusing all these gamers of cheating when we have not). This alone would make me boycott the game. The fact so many have raised a ticket to complain and heard nothing meaningful will likely mean we are going to be ignored. We might be lucky and receive a token gesture without any apology. I hope my fellow players leave this game en masse and the developers take the time to think about how they might have done things differently.Version: 39.0

The game is really not that fun, once you reach past the first 100 levels. The grind is endless and pointless. You get diminishing returns, the further you go. There is no way to achieve anything with normal grind. In fact, it becomes more pay to win after a certain point and Things are extremely overpriced. Each time I make a purchase, my heart sinks alittle. Unless you want to fall into the trap of spending thousands of dollars like many of the top dogs, then I suggest spending your money on a better game. Like I said, Gameplay is fun for the first 100 levels. After that, it's as if the devs have ran out of ideas. Each new update is a copy of a previous update. The good things that they've introduced, are taken out of the game eventually. They missed out on a great opportunity in terms of their plane and bro bot system. I just deleted the app right after the update when I realized where the company's direction with the game is going. I like a lot about this game - more levels, easier to upgrade ships and droids etc. One thing that has been very frustrating is the amount of enemies is way overboard, and damage they inflict is way too high, pretty much NORMAL level you need help from friends all the time, unless you want to spend millions of crystals. Now I am stuck on level where I can’t get help because it says not enough power - whatever that means. Game needs tweaks so that people who wish you play it for free can do too. ✓ Wow the devs are just nerfing the game left and right desperate to make moneyLong time player of this game as I'm all for supporting the creators and developers worked on this game but with the recent nerf this game is becoming more and more unplayable. The wall you hit for free to play is about a week or so mainly because it forces you to pay for veridium to play when it runs out, that's completely fine for me as I don't mind paying a little but with just about $30 invested in the game and carefully upgrading specific brobots they suddenly thought it was a smart idea to reduce overdrive to 3/3??? The game gets harder and harder esp at level 90+ on heroic missions as having the additional overdrives helped a lot for bosses now it seems more based off how much money you can spend to upgrade your brobots that will barely make a dent in overall efficiency to progress in the game. Mind you I have been using Patriot lvl 100S with good brobots maxed out. I hope this review will steer others to reconsider playing as all iOS games seem to just be pay to play this one hands down has been nerfed so hard its pathetic now. Good riddance..Version: 1.6.0
✓ The game is ruinedBefore this update there were a lot of glitches but those glitches were beneficial. During those glitches I earned a lot of progress in the arcade which the game took away and made me start at zero whole making arcade impossible for me to get back even close to where I was. On top of that everything in arcade is broke, only one of my 6 lvl 100 planes can make use of reload speed the rest reload at outrageously slow rates making them useless. They took away the only real way to earn gems. My plane with the red beard guy will not make use of its shield ability with my best bro-bot. When I use gems to boost to last completed arcade game it never takes me back to where I was it brings me back 2 levels, so the hard fight to gain those two levels back was for nothing. So now I get to 37 in arcade fighting hard, use the gem thing to get back to 37 but it takes me to 35 so I cannot progress. Whoever made the call on this update should be given a week to make it all right or get another job; you basically trashed the game and no one knows when or even if it will ever be fixed. When I contacted them by the in app 'ticket' process I was told 'we know that there is a problem with this plane but we hope it doesn't stop your enjoyment' and they closed the ticket. ✓ Overdrive NerfedNo point in spending anymore with drastic reduction of overdrives. I’ll keep playing it but seems pointless spending gems now. Was working towards 7 overdrives and feel a little cheated. To the dev team - If overdrives made the game too unchallenging, then why not make the game harder. Removing the overdrives (I.e. the best/fun bits of the game), is short sited. The most entertaining part of this game was the fun impact of blowing a lot out of your way for the sake of it. I keep getting killed since they lowered my favorited plane stats. The whole thing seems like it got updated so they could make more money. This most recent update also included a SEVERE “difficulty” increase in accomplishing daily quests, and the transition to a less transparent random loot drop system behind an ad paywall. These are steps that I as a player are uncomfortable in supporting. I thank the dev team for many months of great gaming, and mourn the incremental loss of a game that I was quite devoted to. ✓ Used to be amazingAbout 3 updates ago, the game was peak awesome, but then something intenally must’ve happened bc the devs started making crippling and game-breaking changes, screwing up the perfect economy to make an already hard game become mercilessly hard and super unfun. I’ve played for maybe 2 years straight, but once the crippling updates started taking over, it’s down to once or twice a week, mainly just to check back to see whether they turned it back to how it was. Before, I would spend actual dollars because I wanted to tip the devs for a great game, but now I would struggle to bother trying even if they paid me to play it. Tons of veteran players are abandoning it, and maybe that’s the dev’s goal.. to flush out the veterans in trade for impulsive casuals. What a waste of such a previously great game! ✓ CheatersThe company has probably been bought out or on a death bed…, no new stages for over a year. I have bought and supported this game from the day it came out and since it was just a horrible disappointing slide downward…every new update was another ploy to squeeze more cash out of players. Manipulation with overdrives, the lucky roll for gifts is just a joke, the alien invasion/avalon crisis etc…- you can literally predict how the game is going to play in relation with whether you are using tokens or crystals! I have even seen the number of my overdrives lose a few just while looking at the screen and not flying in the mission (this was before they limited the number of overdrives) And not to mention being charged twice for the same package …. ✓ Pay to Play Only***** I wouldn’t advise anyone to Pay any money to Play this game as You’ll regret it later on*******. Been playing Hawk for almost 2 years now. It was brilliant game before they slowly started to roll updates and changing things. Now the game only is Money Grabbing. I don’t mind paying little to the developers for the hard work they do but please if you become greedy like these you lose players who have been paying you from Day One. If changes were made to benefit the players still accepted but changing the whole game pattern and removing the benefits which were offers when the game was introduced and players paid for those benefits is ridiculous. The active players numbers have already slashed to 60% in last 5 weeks and more Players are quitting the game every day. If you don’t give what you promised you’ll soon be having this game as Temp for new comers and they’ll leave after short while. ✓ New UpdateWell I really like the game but the new update ruined everything. The Plane and Brobots it becomes so weak. ✓ Good game, abysmal customer serviceI enjoy the game but the customer service is absolutely abysmal. Tickets closed with no response to the simplest of questions other than a cut and paste type response that the game is developing which had nothing to do with the query I raised. ✓ No longer fun and scammersThis use to be a fun game and i used to pay $2.99 a month for VIP status with extra overdrives. It use to say premium status forever but not really. They get you to pay for certain perks and then take it away. Since I’ve already paid for this month vip status and they took away the perks that came with the status — just message apple with a complaint and they will refund you for the $2.99 you pay for premium status. Maybe the devs will rethink this ridiculous update. Instead of taking away perks and nerfing planes to make the game more challenging. Why don’t they create new levels for the contest and Assault levels? It gets boring playing the same levels over and over again. Switch up the levels and create new maps. Why they think making their players who pay to play upset is the way to go..who knows? Until they fix the issue with the perks and the boring recurring maps, a lot of players will stop paying and playing..Version: 19

✓ Great game, but let down at later levelsI love this game but it is very hard to upgrade your planes at higher levels. 800 gems to upgrade to SS, but not much difference after the upgrade, I mean come on!!!!!!! After finishing levels there is no way of making coins to upgrade, arcade mode is pointless unless playing for fun as rewards are terrible. I finished 10 levels (could have progressed further but knew it would be for nothing) for only 7k coins (20mins) where as one level on main game would give 10-20k+ (3mins)..Version: 1.7.0
✓ It’s hard to get anywhere without payingThis game is aggressively asking you for subscriptions and other one time payments. Want to upgrade your plane? 16.99 please. Want to get daily 40 diamonds for a month? That would be 6.99. The further up you go, the more necessary it is to upgrade planes. The thing is, there is no strategy to this game. The enemies are OP and one bullet eats up your entire shield and half of your health bar. The challenge is essentially created by increasing the damage count so that you upgrade your plane and pay. Despite all this monetization, the game throws an insane amount of ads at you. In short, greed is making this game less enjoyable. There are still some nice moments and there is an insane quantity of levels. However, you will not be able to make a meaningful progress without paying. This is totally fine if you get anything back in value. Unfortunately, you are just upgrading your planes to get through an artificial difficulty curve to further upgrade your planes..Version: 38.1
✓ Disappointing as updates keep comingThis was by far... My favorite mobile game, but as time passes, the updates have been disappointing me each time more, even though my love for the game kept me playing. Then, They stopped letting you buy Veridium (fuel), if you do not have veridium you can’t keep playing in the day, you got to wait to recharge or use real money. The other way is to get premium which will give you infinite amounts of Veridium, and of course you have to buy it with real money and it expires after a while. They stopped using one currecy but now a lot of different ones. We had upgraded our planes with one of this. But now they must be upgraded with a ceritan type of currency taken only on certain events... which of course you need Veridium to play this. That mean you cannot keep upgrading the plane you had worked so hard for because you don’t have enough of that specific currency any more. Still I kept playing, now with recent updates, the game crashes every time I am about to beat a boss. The game only rewards you for getting premium and even so, now keep keeps crashing. I really didn’t want to make this reveiw, but this is jut too much... soon I will end up deleting the game....Version: 23.1
✓ Contest is garbageVIP12, have been conned out of many hundreds of dollars. The way they make the contest brackets to win Acadia in senior league is totally flawed and prevents many top players from obtaining the plane. When flying co op missions, I regularly see other players with top 3 rankings with contest scores in the 50M range. However due to the way contest brackets are built I regularly score around 130M and cannot win the plane, due to being placed in over-competitive brackets. In fact, i have yet to fly with someone who has scored near my scores but i often see their contest rankings on top 3. My point is: don’t waste your money. The game is a cash grab at this point and is totally imbalanced. And now Arcadia is required for various missions, so it’s even more frustrating. Total ripoff. They claim they are considering the bracket balancing logic, but have done nothing..Version: 18.2
