✓ Upadate ruined the gameThis was a fantastic game.... that was until the latest update that has ruined it. The auto fire is gone now there’s too many buttons to press in order to complete a stage. ✓ New updateSome bugs were fixed but now there are more and worse than before. The game crashes like every time I go into battle. Energy, adrenaline shots and any event chips or energy needed for them is used and spent but since the game crashed you get nothing. Battles against enemy bases is the same and you automatically lose the battle when the game crashes. I cant seem to use the stars I have collected so far and neither the new content that you guys brought with the update. Please fix this, I want to keep playing, I like this game..Version: 3.2.1
✓ Still has bugsThe game started off great as it is easy to learn. It does start to get repetitious as there are only two types of battles, humans and bugs, and the weapons you use in these 2 battles are not interchangeable. This means you have two sets of weapons to upgrade and twice the time. This method of upgrade makes it where the “premium” currency, gems, are more appealing. If you are looking to not pay for gems, the “rubicons” missions will be important for you as they give significant amount of gems. The problem is that when you start that mission, the game freezes at the loading screen and you have to force quit the app. So it is really frustrating to see the highest gem awards just slip through your hands over and over..Version: 1.1.13

✓ New update has ruined what was a 5 star gameThis game has been my favourite go to game for the last 6 weeks, but after the recent update, it feels practically unplayable. While trying to dodge bullets, aim onto different targets, use abilities to dodge, hold down a button to fire and also switch between weapons, it has ruined the game. I don’t mind a challenge, but this is no longer playable. The control mechanics need changing ASAP. And as a player who actually makes in app purchases, I feel money I have spent in the last few weeks is now a complete waste of what I had gained in the first place. Unless the controls are fixed soon, I think you are going to lose ALOT of players, no matter how good the game is. If people wanted different controls, maybe put them in the settings rather than rolling out a whole new control system for the game..Version: 1.0.7
✓ Much better than the first 👍🏻👍🏻This game is a real step above other tactical shooters! It’s fast paced and really difficult in some points! I loved the first utopia and I still play to this day but for those who did this really is a different ball game! There isn’t a linear type battle system it’s actually what I expected it to be like, when fighting the Xi faction swarms and swarms of creatures really keep you on you toes and the red face factions and human factions are much more tactical which is a nice touch. Now I have been participating in the PVP a lot this has down graded my rating from 5 to 3 The balancing is a fair bit off in my opinion. I have roughly 2500 trophy points and my base strength is around 43000. I keep getting put against people with the same trophies but are double sometimes triple my strength and base strength which means I can’t really do anything other than waste grenades and not really gain trophy points. This is then fed into the tournament system, in which you are put against people who are so far ahead with S ranked weaponary that literally just reeks havoc against your base. also a base strength so high and turret level so high you might as well piss against the wind. I think a major improvement to the balancing system would be better than implementing a new way to earn medals. (Last update) maybe base on your strength rather than trophy points, limit grenades and medipacks you can take into battle so you have to be more tactical. P.s Devs - Would be nice for the original utopia to be upgraded/optimised, I play on iPhone X Max and the screen sizes don’t match 😂.Version: 1.1.11
✓ New update is bsThe new update is totally bs. at first they changed drastically production - 1 heath kit now requires 8 minutes to build, instead of 8 seconds. But worst thing, they changed controls and now its near to impossible to enjoy game as casual player. i wish i would know it when payed for 2 months subscription, i would never do it. for hardcore gamers there are tons other games to play.Version: 1.0.7

✓ Great Game,,,,, But!All in all, this is a good game in my opinion. The graphics are amazing, the story line is big and exciting and the battles (terrors) are fast paced and intense. There is a lot of armour, weapons and companions you can collect, which keeps the game interesting enough if you don’t want to spend on the game. If you want the better armour, weapons and companions, you can hurry them along by buying in game jewels with real money. I’ve never been against micro-transactions on mobile games, but I feel you don’t get enough for what you’re paying in this game. Premium is only for 30 days, some of the one time offers are too expensive for what you get and professor rose I feel should be part of the game. If they considered making premium permanent and lowering the price on Professor Rose and offers, I’d maybe be interested as I do really like the game. As for upgrading things, you need biofuel, and I feel you don’t get enough after completing the terrors as a reward. I’ve found myself not doing some of the terrors, as the reward is not worth what you’ve had to use in the battle,, I.e medipaks. This is where it can get a bit boring and repetitive. The game has different enemies/factions to defeat and I’ve found myself not wanting to battle the Xi faction, as these are where you’re going to use a lot of medipaks. I feel every player thinks the same, as I can wait up to 5-10 minutes to find a partner in the co-op mode and even then, they can refuse to fight with you after they’ve seen the enemy list. I’m about half way through the story mode now, and I am heavily interested in it. I’m hoping that the developers consider dropping prices and maybe making the rewards for terrors higher (biofuel) as I feel, when I’ve finished the story, it could get boring. Wrote and Rated this a few days after the latest update. Dropping it down to 3 Stars, as the new terror system is awful. I’ve defeated the red face faction and the Xi, now I have no terrors what’s so ever for 12 hours. The only source of biofuel now is to attack others players base’s. Which is totally pointless due to having to use so many grenades and medipaks which cost loads of biofuel. If not sorted soon, it’ll be getting deleted..Version: 1.1.6

First line of defence isn’t even able to go down. Glad they added roll/dodge but to manually shoot and walk and shoot? The heck? Not impressed. ✓ PatheticThe dialog in this game is down right embarrassing. Couldn’t be bothered to find anyone English speaking to translate. Whoever wrote this lame story doesn’t even know the original story. Cruise NEVER ordered the AI to destroy all humans. He ordered it to protect. The computer determined that humans were the threat and nuked the place. Edit: And now with the latest update they completely broke the games balance. We know have more magmatite than we can ever use. It’s not needed for PSI upgrades and it’s not needed for research. ✓ Run and cover third person shooterIf you wanna play a tpp shooter or fpp shooter that allows you to manually control your char anywhere and shoot to aim/ aim to shoot, this isn’t it. But if you wanna play a tpp shooter with a duck/run and cover gameplay, this game is it. Graphics are that of any 3D model mobile game meaning its pretty good/okay in cases like how the environment and character models that is used. Depending on your device this game might overheat on certain graphical setting being used. Gameplay is limited to moving left or right from cover to cover with auto shoot but you are allowed to aim properly using a sniper rifle (a skill with cool-down). The aiming system slows down time for you to pick and chose who you wanna take out. Also Shotgun skill only decimates enemies closest to you in a certain width. This game may be up your alley if you like games like this especially on mobile but for me this isn’t it. 3.5/5 for me.Version: 1.1.15

✓ Need some fixingThe update made combat so much more annoying. Sometimes I won't shoot even when I'm holding down the shoot button, sometimes the sniper shot will fizzle for no reason especially at the start of combat which is important because grenade plus sniper shot is usually enough to kill a medic or turret which makes a big difference. Worst of all is that the targeting system is just awful, I can never target what I want. Was better before when time slowed when you tried to target, so you get more time to precisely aim and the enemies aren't moving around super fast. Targeting now is so difficult as certain targets can block other targets when moving or by standing in front of it, and trying to fight at the same time is just plain awful. Was a 4 star before, 2 star now. You guys need to fix this..Version: 1.0.7
✓ Bad UpdateThe game used to be fun, if slightly frustrating with it’s IAP. What isn’t excusable to me is how they let people pay for something, then release a patch that gets rid of the items I spent $$$ to purchase, leaving me with lower tiered gear. To make matters even worse, the developers also increased the difficulty; I used to be able to beat 3 star levels without spending resources on healing items, now I die on 1 star levels unless I spend an equal amount on healing items that I would earn. They reduced the resources earned from pvp making the grind even slower. They also removed all features that minimized the grind, like being able to auto-complete a level that you are overleveled for. But hey, I guess the game needed to be “balanced for fairness.” So yeah, just avoid this mess and play a game that doesn’t change the “pay to win” balance after their player-base gets invested in it. Edit: since the dev’s just released a new patch I thought I would update things. The new patch is supposed to free up biofuel costs for defensive items during PVP. Unfortunately, that has resulted in almost everyone having a maxxed out defence that is able to kill me instantly. this change has essentially killed my ability to obtain resources needed to upgrade my character, leaving me with only buying loot boxes for real money as my sole way to earn resources now..Version: 1.0.5

Now with the most recent update, we lose the automatic firing with higher speed game play, the cost of everything has been maintained but they lowered the resource gain, + much slower game play means free to play players are going to struggle big time. Even if you pay, unless you spend big bucks and big time otherwise it gets extremely difficult to even complete the most basic mission for lowest gains. Repetitive: Sure, this game has a lot of potential to be so much better, less repetitive, friendly for both F2P & P2P, too bad the developers gotten extremely greedy and ruined a good game. We have to watch those long ads for little rewards after reducing the gains. So your progress is roughly 30-50% slower than it used to. Don’t waste your time and money on this game. ✓ Backwards updateGame was very enjoyable until the last update hit around Aug 2nd. While it’s nice they introduced the PvP co-op mechanic it’s a shame they ramped up difficulty to such a degree that it’s simply not worth your time to progress. They removed the cost to upgrade PvP defence units but those that were already established don’t benefit from it and those that grinded the resources received some materials back it took away any advantage between the groups. Fighting the Xi will almost always net a minimal amount of materials (if getting biofuel) since you’re guaranteed to use at least one med pack with the new mechanics. Maybe with future updates game will change to previous enjoyment levels but at the current state it’s not nearly enjoyable enough to continue playing the game for me..Version: 1.0.5

If this game had open world battle Royale mode or a new game with open world battle royale mode it would be better. The controls are good but there is not much to do. I hate auto fire. Much like the original, the light narrative is sufficient to motivate enjoyable tactical problem solving, albeit in an incredibly Grindy sort of way. Coop gameplay is reasonably mutually productive, pvp base assault pays off well in initial stages before becoming highly counterproductive as everyone tries desperately to drop below the competitive range of all the pay to win players in order to have a chance at tournament rewards, and essentially best invested player wins. None of this should surprise anyone. What makes this a 2 instead of a 5 is the ridiculous number of crashes. Every add watch has about 75% chance of crashing, and when some of these are chance opportunities for chest draws you don’t get the chance to try again. Coop fights crash less often, but can lag so badly they become unplayable. I really hope they fix things, because I loved the first game and this one has potential... once pest extermination has had some time to happen..Version: 1.0.3

You need to attack other bases to get resources like energy, steel, etc. and it seems I lose 90% of the time now with A+ gear. Splash damage is ridiculous and enemies are way over powered. Even if I buy med kits, the wins don’t compensate for the spend so the only option is to progress forever slow or spend real money. Don’t bother contacting support for questions about the game or resolution to these issues. Support is a poor choice of words. For the record, I don’t mind spending a little on a good game but this one is extraordinarily expensive and the lack of care towards a paying player was enough for me to delete the game..Version: 2.5.0

Like the fact they haven’t even got the co-op optimised properly so that you don’t just die suddenly from something that wasn’t even loaded on your screen. ✓ Extremely annoying nowThis game used to be good but now it’s not worth the effort. In this new update the bonus professor rose gave us has gone from permanent to a subscription so the £15 everyone spent on her when she came out has now just been taken away. ✓ No supportI’ve had issues with getting boxes because ads wouldn’t play. E-mailed support and got an apology, but nothing else. I’ve sent four or five emails, and same results. ✓ Gameplay different to AdvertisementI am very frustrated with the many apps that are falsely advertising their games and the game play. This game is nothing like what you see in the previews and advertisements. It is not appropriate and I don’t recommend this game.
