✓ Grrrr! All those ads!!Like many of the other reviewers, I'm fed up with those constant ads. I tried sitting through the whole ad to see if there was a benefit but no! Just annoyance. This is a greedy grab for extra money. Getting to the point where I'll delete all the CC games as the ads are so irritating. Let me pay for an ad free version at least..Version: 1.24

After all the months (years) of playing you game, creating a persona, buying pets, getting the snacks (which you took away), getting the pointless sticker book (I stuck around), playing every day and enjoying the actual narrative and game.........WHY THE HELL have you built up a whole story at the end of Pacific Bay, that we are promoted, to then send us to World Edition and start us from the beginning. Making us go through a tutorial after months (years) of game play, level 317, nearly $8.5 million and numerous pets!!! Removing the connection we have to the game. What were you thinking? Making us start from zero again. Why would you treat us like this? I tried to contact you to ask why, and your frankly dismissive email points us back to FAQ which doesn’t help!!!!!! ✓ Very Costly to PlayThe game starts out ok but, when reaching certain levels than that's when your funds go down with the criminals. I dislike the fact the it's way too easy, clues are written for a toddler and unless you wish to speed up lab results, it takes anywhere from 3-18 hours for the results. Don't get me started on their "flash sales of coins" or the fact that if you do spend your coins you've purchased, it seems like you reach the next level quickly and although you may have 150 coins all ready sitting there to use, when you reach a new level where the game adds 110 coins, you coin use goes from 150 to 110 and you've just lost all the coin you paid for and no way to get the game reset to 260 coins like it should be. I for one will leave this game as soon as all of my purchased coins are gone. I'm too old for such childish games..Version: 1.24

✓ ThievesI have all four of the criminal case apps. Since the latest update in May the developers have added a spinning wheel when you open the app for the first time each day. This then automatically gives you your daily bonus. Thing is, because you have full energy it doesn’t actually add your bonus to your energy so the developers are now stealing the daily bonus from you. THIEVES - I earned that bonus and you just rake it away. I should be allowed to collect the daily bonus when I want to, not when I open the app. It’s my game to play so stop forcing things on my game which I can’t control..Version: 1.22.3
✓ Used to be fun, but now…First off, this remains an interesting game, with decent stories. Some of the names of the objects lose something in what I assume is a translation, and the ever-popular "energy" system is always frustrating. The most recent update of the base program (as it affects all of the Criminal Case games) has brought frustration and disappointment. The "daily reward" feature was frustrating when it would make you respond within a few hours of the last time you used it or it would reset. Now it's hardly even useful. I'm sorry, but burgers and meals are no replacement for guaranteed extra energy. The more frustrating thing, though, is the timing of the ads. They will pop up at any moment, it seems, from the time you return to one of the main screens. Yes, I'm sure it's a timer, but it will interrupt an action without warning. Even worse, if the game or device is muted, the ads are not, which isn't pleasant when your spouse is sleeping. The ads tend to be for the same games (I'm looking at you, Toon Blast!), making me LESS likely to want to play those advertised games. The most recent update made things worse, with ads that freeze the screen. As others have stated, the publisher doesn't really want you to contact them, as all you get in response is an email that makes you feel like an idiot because you didn't read what was on the support site, and that you wouldn't get any further reply. Well, maybe they shouldn't get any further support!.Version: 1.23

✓ DisappointingHaving completed Grimsborough and Pacific Bay, downloaded this only to find that I can not carry over my rank or anything else. Have immediately deleted. I was fortunate enough to have moved to Pacific Bay before you changed this into individual games, I won't be playing when I finish this game. A shame because I've enjoyed playing but can't see why you changed it. If you change it back might start playing again, otherwise no point. After playing Grimsborough and Pacific Bay, I discovered that Save the World is now a completely separate app and I have to start from scratch. I quit. Let me know if it changes and I might start playing again. What's the point of Levels, XP points, customizing your character, pets, trophies, cards, accumulating energy, etc. if it is all lost when you finish an edition? ✓ From Worse to Worse!In the beginning I enjoyed the game as you go on into more and more cases the characters are are not interesting or not even developed. But what's you are cheated not given your full rewards. If it's a daily reward no matter what amount of coins you get you should receive your full reward. You don't! I will complete it but I will do no extra game. THIS IS A RIPOFF!!!! Since the above review they made so called improvements so things have not changed you must carefully watch when getting your daily rewards which you now must spin for whether you want to or not. And in instead of just energy it can be other things that are on the wheel. The designers of this game need to do so much more work. I can understand making us sit through the entire ad when we’re trying to get 20 energy points, but after playing a scene, it feels like it happens every other time you play it: there’s an ad. ✓ MehI can't say I love this one. I hate that you can't transfer your progress. I hate the amount of waiting. You collect all the clues in one shot then have to wait for 3-15 hours for any progress. Then repeat. It's annoying. (I hated that with the other two as well) also frustrating is when you level up and it just refills your energy instead of giving a set amount. Many many times I have basically lost that energy because I leveled up when I was almost full anyway. I also feel like there are more ads in this one compared to the first two. ✓ No Videos, No ProgressUnlike the other versions, after the first few levels, there are no more videos to watch for energy or coins. This means you can only play for 5 minutes at a time. The cost for the pets starts at 100,000! There is only 1 spin for the daily bonus. Progress is sooooo slow. Not worth playing at all unless you are playing another game and tack this on for extra 5 minutes. Appears the developers want you to spend money on items for extra play time. I would consider it if they at least gave more on daily bonus or had videos occasionally. I can’t afford to pay 2-4 dollars every time I want to play for 15 minutes..Version: 1.24

✓ DisappointedAfter playing Criminal Case and it’s sequel Pacific Bay, I was looking to continue the story with Save the World. Like others I have found it very disappointing to have to start at the beginning again after building up pets, clothing and money. In this edition, money takes longer to build up and pets are too expensive to buy. Outfits that you were given by characters in previous editions now have to be paid for so although I enjoy playing the game, especially with two new puzzles to solve, I am not bothering outfitting my character or buying pets. Also there seem to be more pop up adverts after playing scenes which get annoying when you have seen them a few times already that day..Version: 1.21.4

I literally hate what they have done and thinking about not playing anymore of the three games anymore. I have been playing the original Criminal Case for a long time now and was able to move to the next game in the same app and keep my progress, my coins, my pets, and even my energy. But now since I finished the Pacific Bay cases I had to move to the Save the World game and lost everything that I have worked so hard for. I even linked the game with my Facebook and Game Center for the my Apple iPad. This need to be fixed or remedied. ✓ Saddened!!!I was going to give you five stars but then I read some of the reviews and I realise that what they were saying was true. I'm at the moment playing Criminal Case/Pacific Bay. Then I started Save The World which is a separate game altogether. Then came Mysteries of the Past. Although I enjoy each of the games I do find them monotonous and sometimes feel that I should delete them, but I want to see what's at the end of each game. Another thing I find annoying is that when you are GIVEN items of clothing etc you then have to go and pay to be able to wear them. ✓ No merging - this is an issue.The first two Criminal Cases merge with each other so your rank and pets can carry over from the first Criminal Case to Pacific Bay. But Pacific Bay does not merge with World Edition. Jack Archer appears at the end of Pacific Bay and he says that someone is waiting to see you on the plane but that’s it. Nothing else at the end of Pacific Bay happens. Then when you start playing World Edition all your previous progress (pets, your rank, etc.) are gone and you have to start from scratch. Criminal Cases need to continue to be merged. Pacific Bay must merge with World Edition (an INVESTIGATE button shows between the first two Criminal Cases) showing a Police plane flying back and forth)..Version: 1.29.1

✓ Poor UpdateSince the latest update have had a hard time playing because of all the ad pop ups. This really is a shame because it’s a good game; I’ve been playing a long time. But now, even after playing a search, you get inundated with pop up ads. And most irritating, the ads are presented over and over and over again each about 30 seconds. If I see one more turtle in a cage I’m going to scream. Some of the ads have no volume controls so when they began they come up at full blast even if my phone is muted. Can’t find anywhere to buy my way out of it or to turn them off. ✓ Crashing way too much!I was really enjoying this game until a few days ago, when all of a sudden the app began to crash over and over again. Thought it maybe because my iPad is not in the greatest condition, but I have other Criminal Case games that I play regularly, and I haven't had any issues with those. I'm going to try and play on my iPhone and see if I can finally get past the crime scenes area! ✓ Way to many pop upsThis game plus the others in the series are fine if you are taking the bus or train to work. If you like pop ups then I would have given this game a 5 as you will get a lot of them and to get rid of them it will cost a lot of $. As for customer support if I could give a zero I would. I played to the end but never understood the stickers in that one because the game ended with no possible way to get enough to finish even one case. I started the second two & enjoyed playing UNTIL the newest format. ✓ Gameplay fine, Awful customer serviceThe game is fun, it’s just like the regular Criminal case game which I’ve played for awhile, though these games are not connected. I don’t really like how about 50% of game play is waiting hours for one analysis. Then when the analysis finishes you have about five minutes of gameplay just to get another item that takes a day to finish. What has really upset me is their customer service. I was recently double charged after buying an instant analysis. I tried contacting the support team but all I got was an automated response telling me to read their FAQ page, and that that was the only response I was going to be getting. Obviously the FAQ page did not help, yet I was left with no one (besides Apple) to contact. I have actual problems with their game but the developers clearly think the people who play the game aren’t worthy of their time..Version: 1.20.1

✓ Could be better because...I love Criminal Case, and have enjoyed Pacific Bay, too. I expected Save the World to be just as good. It has the potential to be, but the first case is just ridiculous. The extreme stereotypes with tea drinking, royalty, polo playing and dialect is leaning towards an insult. I’m British and can confidently say that less than 1% of people in England speak the way you portrayed the characters in the first case. The childish stereotypes made it very hard to enjoy. I hope this isn’t the same for all other cases. I’m waiting for the French to constantly eat cheese and croissants and drink wine, or Indians to be indulging in curry 24/7. ✓ Bridge back to original Criminal Case + no ads for energyI have been playing save the world version of Criminal Case for a little more than a week and I like it because if gives me more play time between the original game and this new one. I wish I could travel from save the world game back to the original Criminal Case game. It is already set so I can travel to save the world from the original Criminal Case game. I would like to have the ability to travel back and forth between the two games. Another thing about this game is that it doesn't give players the opportunity to earn energy credit by watching advertisements. That means it takes twice as long to complete scenes. ✓ Final StrawI put up with losing all my pets, promotions etc. from the original game. I even put up with the totally useless sticker book but the last update is one step too far. Now I get an annoying advert after every other scene played and sometimes you have to wait the full 30 seconds before you can close it. For the last few weeks, I haven’t been able to send or receive gifts from friends on my iPad without the game looping to Facebook only to ask “Open this is Criminal Case.” Duh, that’s why I have the app. Then it returns to the app and if I select ‘accept gifts’ it loops back to Facebook again..endlessly. This happens on all 3 of the Criminal Case games that I play. ..Hidden Objects, Mysteries and Save the World. I tried contacting customer support only to receive an auto response that told me to go read the FAQs (which I do before ever contacting support) or go to the community page which is another hot mess. Then proceeds to tell me that this will be the one and only response to my inquiry. Sounds like pretty poor customer service. So...in response, I will delete all three games and find others to play.. ✓ Stickers Disappear and ad soundsI really like this game and have played it for awhile. My two frustrations: 1) the stickers I’ve earned keep disappearing. It has happened twice where half of my stickers just aren’t there anymore and it’s frustrating because I’ve gotten so close a couple of times to having a few of the case stickers completed. 2) when the ads come on and I have my phone (and game sounds) on silent because I’m somewhere I can’t make noise some of the ads play sounds anyway! ✓ Crash cityI loved playing Criminal Case. I accepted that stuff didn't transfer over to Save The World. However, I absolutely hate the constant crashing of the game in the middle of a scene, losing the energy and the points. This is turning me off of the game, and I am seriously considering deleting it from my machine. The lack of support is irritating! I have asked for assistance in an ad that blacks out the screen, and the only way to get the game back is to close it down and restart. And all I get is a stock email saying to check out the FAQs.
