✓ AvatarsI was very excited to play this game since I have always been a fan of these games, but while choosing my character I realized..none of these girls look like me except maybe the black girl, but even then she isn’t smiling. Why isn’t she smiling when the others are? I figured I’d just get the avatar skin once I hit a certain level until I realized she’s the darkest completion in the ENTIRE selection..and the only I could see that wasn’t smiling. I don’t understand why there aren’t a variety of skins at this point, and on top of that they should be free! I shouldn’t have to play the pretty happy white lady every time because she’s free! I’ve uninstalled the app and told others about this too, leaving them just as disgusted and with the same reaction as mine. I won’t be back, unless I am able to play as me and not have to worry about BUYING my skin color..Version: 1.33

It freezes, it cuts out.....and when it cuts out I've lost my bonus energy, I constantly miss out on the daily bonus wheel spin because of freezing issues and worst of all I paid for 10 packs of cards for my album but it hasn't delivered them. ✓ Criminal Case ReviewThis is a great murder investigation game. It is fun with its interactive activities, and it has has a very well developped graphics design. However, the only complaint is its energy system. I believe the game would receive a wider acceptance if attaining the stars to complete some duties was not so unfair. I have been able to complete the object searches and beat the time at a very good score, but no matter how good you complete it, it is no use because the stars only fill up a 1/4 of the way. Everything looks great in this game. Not many games have that, and I am glad we can enjoy these mystery games the right way. The only suggestion to the developer would be to make a better energy system so that we can have more time using the app without having to wait so many hours to complete two actions..Version: 1.28

✓ Sneaky DevsI've been playing the suite of games by Pretty Simple for many years now. Over the time I've found the games have a good storyline with side stories. However game timers have progressively modified to benefit them and not the players. The mobile versions have very intrusive ads that interrupt the game regularly for in excess of 30 seconds at a time. Thus continuity for the player is destroyed. I'd be happy to pay to play games rather than put up with sneaky ways to maximise their income. If you play via FB, expect constant nagging to 'post to Facebook'. If you allowed the game to post when it wanted to, your timeline would fill with this rubbish quickly and no one would read your page. Overall, it's a good game with quality art and graphics and can hold your interest. Just be aware of the FB posting and obtrusive ads and keep an eye out for other Hidden Object games in the market..Version: 1.28

It has now got so annoying that I am seriously considering deleting what was a well loved and daily used game. THE ADS ARE VERY DEPRESSING HEALTH TOPICS. You have the option to pay $7.99 to opt out of SOME OF THE ADS which is not a very good deal. Main problem is that when I play this particular game and it shows any ad marked “Ad Choices” it only has an option - to repeat the ad. You can’t get out even if you turn off the iPad and turn it back on. Only way is to do a cold reboot of the iPad which takes several minutes and then renter the game. ✓ I know I’m in the minority but….I play this game with completion in mind. I play every chapter 3 times to max it and get as many sticker packs as possible but the sticker book is impossible to complete! First, before I ever moved on to chapter 2 I played chapter 1 three times and got about 12-15 sticker packs with star trade ins and rewards, but the amount of doubles you get is ridiculous. I regularly open packs, even still and I’ll get 5 doubles. And needing 100 doubles for a free pack is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Second, the album glitches so much that I’ve lost over half the stickers that I’ve earned!! I’ve completed full pages and than came back to only having 2 out of the 9needed for the page!!! How is this possible if buying packs is an option? You buy the pack, open it but only keep half of what you paid for because it bugs out and you lose the stickers how had?! I originally wasn’t going to at all, but the game kept nagging me and promised 100 free energy, so I figured why not give it a try? Also also, it stopped using the name I had put into it, and started using my FB name, which I hated. So I figured I would disconnect it from FB, but it told me that I would lose all my progress. Why? I did barely anything while it was connected, but I would lose ALL of it? Well, I hated it so much that I disconnected it anyway and yep, it undid everything I had done and sent me back to the tutorial. ✓ Rule changesI like this game and enjoy playing it. My only complaint is that the rules keep changing. For awhile you play longer by watching ads. Now they limit to just one ad so playing time is short unless you want to pay money. I was always able to spin for gifts using the game’s built-in friends and all of a sudden you only get one spin. I don’t think it’s right to change the games parameters when a game has been launched for awhile. ✓ Fun, but formulaic and very repetitiveAs the title says, it follows a certain formula and after a while it takes the shine off the game a little when every murderer’s response to being arrested is more or less the exact same every single time even when, perhaps, it doesn’t even fit the character to deny his/her actions three times before the overwhelming evidence finally makes them admit it. Almost all the murderers sound the same in that regard and it becomes far too repetitive. Even the ratio of sending evidence to the lab, examine something under the microscope and talking to suspects after that evidence has been analysed is pretty much the same from case to case. So, for instance, in every chapter one you will likely be speaking to the same number of suspects, examining the same amount of things under the microscope and sending the same amount of items to the lab every time. There is very little straying from this formula. It doesn’t make the game terrible or drastically lessen my enjoyment, but it does make the game a little underwhelming at times for me..Version: 1.27

✓ Remove the Wheel and all the ads!I have been a long time player of the Criminal Case apps and have always loved these games, until recently. When the pop up ads started it was mildly irritating but now it’s to the point where you can barely play one scene before a pop comes up and freezes the game. This new update has changed the daily log in reward. Before if you were logged in every day (for at least 5 days) you would receive 50 energy points. Now you get to “spin the wheel” and get any manner of useless things. Getting the extra energy everyday was a key part of my strategy for playing the game. I’m really at a standstill of if I even want to keep playing, way to ruin a good thing. 😑.Version: 1.22.3
✓ Is it worth it?The game can be very addicting, and the graphics are great! I love the sound effects (as weird as that may sound) and overall the game's something I would recommend. That being said, there are a few annoyances that get to me quite easily: 1. The fact there are so many ads. The majority of reviews that I've read have all seemed to scream out the fact that the ads are extremely annoying. To be honest, I didn't really find them annoying until I realized how repetitive they are and somewhat lengthy. 2. It can be very tedious. Although this game has definite perks when you level up and the tediousness can be representative of certain doses of realism, it can be annoying how much you have to do to earn ONE star. This was a huge frustration because I only get 110 stars as a start and have to go to many locations and find things that take a while (if you're in a new place) all for ONE star. I wish somewhere in the game they would give you a bonus star for how much time you have to spend to get a star in the first place. And unless you have a tool to refill your energy, you have to wait hours until you can get it back and continue on with the investigation. 3. The lack of story *I understand that this is a mystery game, so this point is more of a preference and not so much of a complaint.* I wish this game had more story interaction than constantly being on the field to earn a star. I understand the fact that they only use story interaction when necessary, but nevertheless, I wish there was more, as I love reading and stuff. AGAIN, THIS IS MORE OF A PREFERENCE THAN A COMPLAINT. I understand why there isn't as much story interaction considering the fact that you're trying to find a criminal, not love, not drama, and not a happy ending. (Unless the criminal is going to jail). I can understand making us sit through the entire ad when we’re trying to get 20 energy points, but after playing a scene, it feels like it happens every other time you play it: there’s an ad. A random ad for no reason. You don’t get anything out of it. ✓ WasteThis game is stupid I'm stuck on the first case because every time I go to one of the crime scenes it either freezes in the middle and the clock keeps going or once I pick up the first item it freezes and doesn't do anything. I've tried every possible solution and nothing happens. Wish I could give 0 stars. If your going to make a new criminal case at least make it look like it's in the 21st century or if your going to make it in the "olden days" atleast give the guys real names like presidents or famous people and if that happens it can be make believe of how they die like George Washington died of old age, they can make it like somebody killed him or bring back histories killings like Abraham Lincoln for example. ✓ Mysteries of The PastIt’s a good a game, but it does have some drawbacks. I would recommend it, but prepare for some possible frustrations. The bonus screen will freeze sometimes and will not give you the reward. The biggest problem, however, is that there are times when you open the app and you’ll notice that all your completed cases are erased. This is quite frustrating because of the fact that I tend to use the feature where you can you skip to the next case, for a 99 cent fee. Plus, It’s annoying because all time and money you spend playing the game is all for nothing at this point. Hopefully the game’s developer can fix these frustrating issues..Version: 1.25.1

✓ Updates made game unplayable and no customer supportWhat once was a great game to play now isn’t. For the last few weeks, I haven’t been able to send or receive gifts from friends on my iPad without the game looping to Facebook only to ask “Open this is Criminal Case.” Duh, that’s why I have the app. Then it returns to the app and if I select ‘accept gifts’ it loops back to Facebook again..endlessly. This happens on all 3 of the Criminal Case games that I play. ..Hidden Objects, Mysteries and Save the World. I tried contacting customer support only to receive an auto response that told me to go read the FAQs (which I do before ever contacting support) or go to the community page which is another hot mess. Then proceeds to tell me that this will be the one and only response to my inquiry. Sounds like pretty poor customer service. So...in response, I will delete all three games and find others to play.. A little good customer service goes a long way. I recommend that you ditch the auto response and actually allow people to contact you..Version: 1.34

✓ My stickers keep disappearingStarted playing the game last week. This game is the first one of its kind to me, I thought the concept is interesting but it can get a bit bored for the repetitiveness and the long wait for results (if you don’t want to pay). My main issue is that for the stickers I have earned and put into album, won’t be there anymore (as if I haven’t earned them) the next time I go check. My album collection looks very different every time after I open new packs. For example, I have all three stickers collected for chapter three from the very first case of this game (I got a special effect for getting all three as they connect into one) but now my album shows I only have one of those three stickers. ✓ Level up freebie isn’t fair; and What help?I just added 120 energy points, which I bought. After one scene, using 20 points, I hit the next level up. The game then fills your bar to 110. If I had waited for the game to build up points by not playing for a few hours, I would have leveled up and received the whole energy freebie. This happens in all the Criminal Case games. Also I have twice tried to communicate with the developers via the help section, but I only received a standard, automated response saying to look at the help section! Also I am in the first episodes and already I am getting times as if I as three fourths thru. This and the ads make me want to delete this game. The issue of support is huge, there is no support. If you have a problem or an issue tough luck, there is no one to help you. This is beyond acceptable and I am struggling to find an excuse to support such a developer by continuing to play or recommend this to those I know. The ads seem to be timed to every two or three uses of energy. This was the same with the previous version and is annoying as hell. My original friends still play Criminal but I can’t get energy etc from them anymore, and now only have two friends who play Mysteries. The game itself is very enjoyable outside of all the adverts, of which there are many and I never make use of them. They are a big nuisance and would be the reason I’d stop playing this game. ✓ Synchronized?I’ve been playing Criminal Case for awhile. All 3 games are synchronized so that I have my experience, animals and energy throughout all 3 levels. Mysteries of the Past claims that its synchronized but I’m at level 1 with no animals and 110 energy. It’s like it’s a separate game. I would play if it was just a continuation..Version: 1.21.4

✓ Old fashioned comic style picturesVery slow and boring. It takes a long time to do anything. After 2 weeks to solve one case, I am fed up. Then when you think you are going to start a new case, it adds an extension with the same boring pages but higher scores have to be reached to do anything. ✓ Puzzled doesn’t work with the gameI’ve played this game for a long time and over 100 chapters but I’ve hardly ever had any problems or glitches and down over 100 chapters but you seem to have updated the game as this chapter seems to be very frustrating and disappointing. Why have you made the story line like a third Right storyline. It doesn’t seem to work well with the game. There are so many ads also otherwise this game is great. Update I love this game but it has become so frustrating. I’m up to where the flying squad has to deal w a creepy situation and I say this so I don’t give the game away. ✓ ThievesI have all four of the criminal case apps. Since the latest update in May the developers have added a spinning wheel when you open the app for the first time each day. This then automatically gives you your daily bonus. Thing is, because you have full energy it doesn’t actually add your bonus to your energy so the developers are now stealing the daily bonus from you. THIEVES - I earned that bonus and you just rake it away. I should be allowed to collect the daily bonus when I want to, not when I open the app. It’s my game to play so stop forcing things on my game which I can’t control..Version: 1.22.3

✓ Used to be fun, but now…First off, this remains an interesting game, with decent stories. Some of the names of the objects lose something in what I assume is a translation, and the ever-popular "energy" system is always frustrating. The most recent update of the base program (as it affects all of the Criminal Case games) has brought frustration and disappointment. The "daily reward" feature was frustrating when it would make you respond within a few hours of the last time you used it or it would reset. Now it's hardly even useful. I'm sorry, but burgers and meals are no replacement for guaranteed extra energy. The more frustrating thing, though, is the timing of the ads. They will pop up at any moment, it seems, from the time you return to one of the main screens. Yes, I'm sure it's a timer, but it will interrupt an action without warning. Even worse, if the game or device is muted, the ads are not, which isn't pleasant when your spouse is sleeping. The ads tend to be for the same games (I'm looking at you, Toon Blast!), making me LESS likely to want to play those advertised games. The most recent update made things worse, with ads that freeze the screen. As others have stated, the publisher doesn't really want you to contact them, as all you get in response is an email that makes you feel like an idiot because you didn't read what was on the support site, and that you wouldn't get any further reply. ✓ Don't buy stickers!!First off I would like to say I enjoy the game and think it is fun. I wanted to complete a sticker album for a case, but I remembered having some that seemed to disappear and I was confused. So one day I took a screen shot and it said I had 49 of 59 stickers for case #1. Then 3 days later it says I have 41 so I somehow lost 8!!! I read on here others have encountered this as well. ✓ I loved this game, now?I really enjoy playing, but now it's being a pain. Ads break in during investigations and the clock doesn't stop, the time you spend with the ad is counting against you. Sometimes it just locks up the screen and sits there, then the game shuts down costing me my 20 points and my assistant for nothing. It wasn't this bad before. I'm on my second go round and it was not that way through the first. If it gets worse I'll just stop playing. But they won't care because I don't buy anything from the game..Version: 1.29.1
