✓ New update = no game centre = no onlineHi, love your game. This is more of a note to the developers more than anything. Since the update I can’t use any online features. I keep getting the message to “log in to Game Centre”. I can assure you, I’m logged in. In fact. I’ve even logged out and back in again to make sure I wasn’t being silly. ✓ Amazing upgraded version, but one small complaintThe original game is one of my favorite mobile games and when I saw they made an upgraded version with no pay-to-win mechanics or ads, I HAD to get it. I have one nitpick that is keeping it from 5 stars. (But it shouldn’t keep you from getting this game. Get it; It’s amazing.) I’m pretty sure this is in the base game too, but I feel that if you convert an item to a lower rank, you should get 2 of that lower rank item and shouldn’t have to pay to do that either. For example: If you have an uncommon tire and downgrade it, you should get two common tires and you shouldn’t have to pay credits. The limit on item conversions before it needs to be refreshed are also annoying. As soon as Gameloft changes this, this will be a true five star game..Version: 1.0.5

✓ Just like the good daysThis version of the game takes so much of the bad qualities out and keeps the good. What’s left is a more fair, fun and engaging version of asphalt 8. Up until Vivendi decided to run a hostile takeover and take Gameloft as the unlucky victim, and force them to squeeze more money out of the game, Asphalt 8 was great but now the classic is being brought down by the money making tactics, and it’s a continuous battle to keep fair ground between the money and the players. Asphalt 8+ doesn’t have that sort of problem and retains the true qualities of what made asphalt 8 players stay. One concern I have is that this game may get less support than A8 classic, as there was just an October car sale released there and new music added to the game. It seems we won’t get that kind of stuff in A8+ yet despite there being a sale button in the garage. If they weren’t considering it they would have removed it surely. ✓ Would give five star if not for one thing!!!This game is so much fun, until you start going too fast in any given competition; where it becomes about random chance rather than skill. I hydroplane almost every time I start enjoying going fast in an s rank car, so instead of honing my skills, I start getting anxiety about turning in it at all. It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t such a common occurrence, I had it happen twice within ten or so second in a single race, both ending in a wreck or me falling off the track; taking me from first with a big lead, in a race where I had a disadvantage rank-wise, to dead last with no way of catching up to anyone…🥲 I hope this is something that gets fixed because it takes away from the experience and makes all the training you do to be good in your best car worthless in the end, because you could lose against a d rank car in somecircumstances. Please make this not a thing, this is one part of realism that I could go without while playing a video game, or at the very least it’d be nice to have training section that teaches you how to deal with that infuriating crap..Version: 1.1.2

There’s better racing games available since the release of Asphalt 8 nearly a decade ago. To those looking for a more exciting racer, I’d recommend exploring those options of your own accord. This game has so many good memories linked to it, I almost have to like it. That being said, over the years of playing I have made a lot of progress throughout the game. ✓ Great game, one INSANELY bad issue.I love this game. But every once in a while, it deletes all your progress and you have to start over. This is a bit of a problem. Luckily for me, I play this on two devices and my progress is the same because I use cloud data, right? On the device I lost my progress on, it won’t let me use cloud data. I think it’s not detecting the other data or something. It’s not because low internet or because they’re far away. Easily 5 stars, if it weren’t for this. ✓ Gameplay better compared to freemium AsphaltI have played asphalt 9 and that’s one hell of a grindy game. Tried A8 on AA. My goal was to get as far ahead in career mode as fast as possible. I didn’t care much about multiplayer. So I started off well and progressed at a rapid rate until I unlocked season 3. As there is only one in-game currency I was able to grind and buy cars like Donkervoort, and Vencer Sarthe pretty early. But things get harder from there. To get the 535 stars needed to unlock season 4 was a grind. The car mastery is useful to get the car upgrades for free as long as you can win the races. Stopped playing after AA trial expired. Update: I returned to AA and I am playing this again. Tried Asphalt 8 freemium and the gameplay is a nightmare there with multiple in game currencies. We would be better off playing A8+ instead. Update: Please bring back the gauntlet! It keeps says no season available. I miss it and I don’t care about World Series much..Version: 1.4.0
✓ Fun game but…This is a very fun game that Is not pay to win (because it’s Apple Arcade obviously). But there are lots of bugs especially in career mode. Some events crash when I try to play them. And as a result, I can’t get stars. So this is annoying because I can’t complete career mode. Asphalt career mode season 1-5 has a few events that crashed but no big deal. Season 6 has tons of bugs however. Many of the events in season 6 have crashed and I can’t get the stars to move on to the next season. Please fix this soon..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Great Game!! One Problem……I’ve been playing this game for a while and I have had no crashes or no problems playing at all (on iPhone 11). I recently purchased a M1 MacBook Air and for whatever reason all my progress that i have on my phone isn’t transferring to my Mac. I have everything up to date in software and i am logged into the same Apple ID and Game Center. Hopefully this could be fixed soon I would love to play on my Mac. ✓ Pretty good but…I’ve been playing this game during my down time at work and I have been enjoying it a lot. The graphics are good, the choice of cars is great, I like that there are ways to customize and upgrade your favorite cars. I like that there are bikes in the game as well. The reason for four stars is because there are a few levels in the career mode that are bugged whenever I click to play them my game shuts out. I even tried deleting and then reinstalling the game and the problem still has not subsided. If you can fix that I would definitely be grateful because I cannot get enough stars to go to the next part of the career mode without it..Version: 1.0.2
✓ No more pay walls!Finally, after 8 years, Gameloft brings a version of the Asphalt 8 that is actually well balanced and has no ads! It keeps everything that I loved about Asphalt 8 and removes everything that I hated such as all the annoying popups and impossibly expensive vehicles. The old pay to win monetisation model is gone, all content is accessible to everyone just by playing the game and progression is far less of a grind. Just like A8, A8 suports a massive amount of platforms so I can play on my iPhone, my Mac, my iPad and even my Apple TV. The Mac version has been fixed and is now playable as well and is quite well optimised and doesn't crank the fans up on my MacBook Pro 15 like most games do..Version: 1.0.4

✓ Great Game, ERROR 6The graphics game play multiple platforms to race compete are all fantastic. I was a ways in like 615 stars into career, and I started getting error 6 for events that wouldn’t log my times let me claim any rewards from events because it was like I never partook while still taking away the fuel. I redownloaded and accidently wiped and have now restarted the game with the same Issue! This was fine until about a week ago what’s going on? Cons - not as many cars, less track variety in Events, Gauntlet and Multiplayer (becomes repetitive) and the smaller install base (just arcade users) makes multiplayer challenging to find a race once you advance beyond the first level. I’ve been playing for like 2 months and I already have a MB Silver Lightning, Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse & a Devel Sixteen Prototype. However, there are some races with almost impossible tasks such as 5 knockdowns on a Versus race, is that possible? These are some things that are featured in the OG Asphalt 8 that aren’t in this version that I would like to see added: 1. McLaren F1 cars and the McLaren Legends Season (Season 10) 2. Exclusive Metal Events 3. Local Wifi Gamemodes 4. Festivals and Car Hunts Thanks Gameloft for a great re-make of this game! ✓ Good adaptation of the originalThe original asphalt 8 was a good game, except that the game was very focused on spending money to get more cars and such. Thankfully, now it has been released on Apple arcade with a whole new unlocking system where you can unlock every car solely through playing. As for gameplay, the racing system is very nice, with decent graphics. My only suggestion, please add a photo mode! ✓ ReviewIt’s great to see the game come over to Apple Arcade but there could be some improvements. First, the Quick Race mode should not have content locked behind stars because when I play Quick Race, I’m normally playing it when I don’t want to deal with the career mode. Second, it would be nice if my account was available across the normal and apple arcade version so I’m not unlocking stuff twice. Finally, I hope the Apple Arcade version gets all the content that the main game gets. Lots of Apple Arcade games just give you the base game then the developers move on and just develop for the main game. For example: There are at least 6 or 7 races that crash the ap when I try to play them. There are impossible tasks such as one race requiring more than 20 perfect runs to gain a star! And I’ve played two gate drift levels that require knockdowns to gain a star (there aren’t any cars to knockdown in gate drift levels!) ✓ A good startI’m glad to see that Gameloft remade Asphalt 8 as a premium title again, but there needs to be some improvement, especially in the multiplayer aspect of the game. There should be an option to tune cars that are fully upgraded (MAX+PRO) without changing the car rank to bring back ‘multiplayer tuning’ that kept people in the game in the past. Each adjustment should come with both benefits and trade offs. Bringing over classic season with the new rank brackets would also be a great idea. ✓ Glitch when you sync between local and Cloud dataI enjoy playing this game, but a recent glitch has shaken my confidence in the data sync when I switch between playing on my Mac or my iPhone. I tried to sync my phone to my cloud data and it seemed to work fine, but then it asked me a few more times, so I clicked on the cloud data and after a few attempts, it deleted ALL of my saved data as if I’d never played the game before. I’m hoping that I can still retrieve my saved data from my local from my Mac account so that I can restore all my earnings and points but if not, I may end up tossing out this game since I don’t want to deal with save data fidelity issues. You invest in games and have fun but I don’t want the possibility of soul crushing data corruption to spoil enjoyment…..Version: 1.1.2

✓ A solid game with some glaring flaws.This game was almost unplayable before being redesigned for Apple Arcade. Now, without the micro transactions and predatory marketing, it’s actually really fun. There is a lot of content here. That being said, I am trying to get full stars on every track, so I can’t give full marks when that isn’t physically possible. I don’t mean hard, I mean that you will be asked to do five barrel rolls on a track with only one ramp that allows that maneuver. You actually cannot even accomplish three no matter how many times you try. You can try to back up and go again, but the disqualification timer makes that impossible too… very frustrating..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Love it but a few suggestionsI like this game, but I want a few suggestions, one, For season 6 the race on Iceland is Excruciatingly hard because I have a maxed falcon F7 Vs a bmw i8 which I was lucky to get 5 stars on, the ai would be fast so they would knock most of the cars down in a instant, and I also want the f1 cars like: Mclaren MP48, and others, and I want the cars from original asphalt 8, (ex. Drako GTE) to be in this, if that would happen, I would appreciate that, and that’s all!.Version: 1.2.0

✓ Generally a lot of fun… but can also be total garbage. Level design sometimes needs you to play the level several times so you find the shortcuts (without which you have no chance of winning) or prepare you for obstacles - so you can’t always win on skill. The drift steering is fun, but either won’t switch back to normal for ages (a minor frustration) or suddenly snaps back in the middle of a turn (hugely annoying). It’s fun, beautiful to look at, races are short, circuits are many and varied, challenges are broad. Recommended, but it will annoy from time to time..Version: 1.7.0
✓ Love The game but can be improvedThe game is AMAZING I play it all the time but would be better to be rewarded with more credits in events and world series/gauntlet, I know that you can get more credits in mastery but the rewards you get in the other events don’t feel like a lot, compared to the base game where you get like 10,000+ in events. ✓ Best mobile racing gameAsphalt 8 and 9 are undoubtedly the best racing games for mobile so seeing asphalt 8 come to arcade was amazing. The graphics are unbelievably good, and the tilt-to-steer controls work brilliantly as well. However, I would recommend using a controller if you have one. Another thing that makes the asphalt series so good is that all of the cars are real cars, which makes the whole racing seem so much more realistic. The physics are brilliant as well. ✓ Great game, more features from A8 pleaseIn addition to live MP, collections and some special events for cars that are not in A8 would be nice. Although it would be nice for players to have a couple months to build up resources before R&Ds and stuff like that come out. But overall this game is very fun, with most of the good of A8 and none of the bad. Feels like back in the days before Vivendi bought Gameloft and their games became super P2W. My only concern is that we might not have enough credits through career to buy all the cars we need. So a daily credit event like in A9 would be welcome..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Very good, except one problemThe game is very good, but season 3 level 26 isn’t possible to 5 star, because it’s gate drift and one of the objectives is 2 knockdowns without wreck. You can not get knockdowns in gate drift because you are the only racer..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Best car game In my entire lifeMy childhood game. Honestly that’s what it is. And I’ve played this game ever since I was 6 years old and I remember every single time I quit. Pay to win. To the point where I couldn’t complete a level without having to upgrade my car which I couldn’t without buying coins. I have no idea what happened to this game now. ✓ Love the game, but I have some feedbackSo I’m not sure where to put this but I’ve had some issues with some of the season 3 and 4 gate drift challenges. Basically one of them is asking me to get two knockdowns in a row (Season three - Azure beach) and the other will crash the app when I start it (Season 4 - Alps). Beyond that it’s really hard and grindy to pro out cars; having one of the only way to get the high tier materials is by racing in maps and finishing in under 30 seconds, which to be frank seems impossible, annoys me. The cap on the amount of conversions I can make a day seems arbitrary. But making a game is hard, I just hope you guys can fix some of these bugs and tweak some features to make it less frustrating for the player. I hope you look into this, thanks a ton..Version: 1.0.2

✓ GrindyWhile A8 being on AA is good news for me as someone who invested a lot of money into the Micro transaction version of A8, it’s presence on AA means it will most likely maintain an income big enough to keep the game running on Gameloft servers for a few more years. But the grinding for in game currency to buy cars and the constant purchasing of boosters to make those cars competitive is very bad news for AA subscribers. I won’t be arrogant here and claim I know why A8+ wasn’t allowed to simply be a game (although I do have my suspicions that I will keep to myself), what I will state is the obvious requiring players to do a bunch of tedious work to play A8+ makes the game far less valuable both to the players and Apple Arcade. A8+ might help retain customers in it’s current state, but nobody is going to pay 5.99 a month and have to do a huge amount of tedious grinding on top of that just to get to the point we’re you can play A8+ as a game. Even if the level of tedious work is only 1 tenth of what is in the Micro transaction version it’s still way too much work be worth paying money for..Version: 1.2.0
