✓ Annoying controlsEnjoyed the game up to a point. Although some imprecision in the controls was a bit frustrating, it was ok up to the end of chapter 13. At that point you have to steam the guy and then run and jump in an escape hatch. No matter what I did, the character would not jump in the hatch. She’d jump down, run to the hatch, then turn and just stand there until the guy killed her. Didn’t matter how quickly I tapped, or how much, or where — I tried all sorts of variations. It just didn’t work. I watched some walkthrough videos to see if I was doing something wrong, but wasn’t. Kinda ruins the game, because I can’t finish..Mangled baby ducksVersion: 1.3.1

✓ Great concept, poor controlsThe game is fun, and has many small hints that point to a deeper story and lore. I enjoyed many of the puzzle building aspects of it, however the 2 dimensional nature of movement in the game doesn’t gel well with some more active scenes/chapters. ✓ Could have been much more better(er)If you like being frustrated because of annoying, gameplay limitations then you’ll love this game. More thought could have gone into providing better and more efficient movement. Some levels require you to think very strategically and to move very quickly, but just make one wrong tap and you end up dying, which just makes for the perfect rage-quitting scenario. ✓ UghI really liked this game at first, but the controls make it so dumb sometimes. Like double tap to run, okay, but also if you’re running from something and double tap in front of you sometimes the character will just randomly turn around. I got to the part where the hand statues are falling and I’ve tried it so many times I literally want to delete the game. ✓ Bug in Apple Arcade versionI’m leaving this review since there is no way to let the developer know there is a huge bug with the Apple Arcade version of the game unless you want to register an account to “ask a question”! The game is great up until chapter 17. After passing the first two sets of obstacles and getting to the gazebo area the steps needed to progress result in an inability to move. Maybe this doesn’t happen on other devices but on mine it makes it impossible to progress further..Kyu32Version: 1.3.1

✓ Frustrating & buggyGame play was good, interesting enough to keep me engaged past 20% complete, then I went to the main menu to look at settings and now none of my progress is saved. Wants me to start again at the beginning. Takes way too long to play straight through so this is unplayable. I found 3 of the hidden boxes and the counter just kept showing 0. However, when you have to run away from perils and all you can do is tap or double-tap, you’re going to have a bad time. To make matters worse, the game is a side-scroller but it’s in vertical orientation, so you can’t see much of what is coming or where you’re going until it’s too late. ✓ Bad gameplay>ArtMaybe the sound experience changes the game, but for those of us who don’t/can’t listen, the slightly-rotated sidescroller has only moody graphics to compensate for a lackluster knockoff of 4-bit adventures. The character does not grow or change, the puzzles are simplistic, and the concept relies on the player making (sometimes multiple) errors before the solution becomes obvious. Worst: presented with obvious weapons, the hero does not simply whack the enemies. ✓ Progress lost twiceI was really enjoying this game and was over half way through when my iPad died and then the game froze and when I went to restart it I had to start from the very beginning again. ✓ Great game, terrible bugWas really enjoying the game and reached level 15. I had noticed the game wasn’t recording when I found each music box, but unfortunately it turned out it wasn’t saving progress at all. On level 15 you have to move a platform. I made it to the next screen, but thought I may have missed something and returned the screen prior to the platform. When I went back to the platform I found it was stuck out of reach. I decided to exit to the main menu and return, hoping the platform would reset. I was instead sent back to the beginning of the game. ✓ This game is trashNow that I got that out of the way. I wanted this game to be cool. It’s got a good concept but trying to make the little character go where you want is abysmal. It’s not that I don’t know what I’m supposed to do or how to do it. The game simple wont do it. Without giving a spoiler there are places you have to touch to move your character and when I touch them repeatedly the little f****r doesn’t move or takes the craziest not useful and level losing route to get there. Every time I collect one I just says 0/18, and then if I close the app it will make me start from the beginning. ✓ FrustratingWhat a shame. Great art. Great idea but really poor game play. As soon as you get past the first level or two it becomes win by trial and error. This could have been a game of strategy and thinking but it’s just not. Dying becomes a key component of the game because it’s impossible to know or plan a strategy without first dying several times. Don’t get your double tap, right; die. Tap in the wrong place by mistake; die. Don’t time your actions (and get them right (see previous)) perfectly timed; die. I have deleted the game twice.
