✓ Issues with playing others without the HD Spite & MaliceBe careful when considering purchasing the (HD) edition. If you do, you will only be able to play others that have purchased the (HD) AU$3.79 edition of Spite & Malice. If you want to play your friends that have the original Spite & Malice app AU$2.49 edition it will not work with your with your (HD) edition and it will in fact direct you via game centre to purchase the AU$2.49 even though you have purchased the (HD) edition. Because most of my friends have already purchased the original Spite & Malice, I had to purchase the lesser one to play them leaving me with 2 of the same app. I have reported this issue with Apple and Trivial Technology and hope to gain a refund, otherwise I got ripped from both companies. As if they need my money…. 5 stars for gameplay, minus 2 stars for their costly mistake..EnzsoVersion: 2.10.2

✓ Looks goodDoesn’t have good help. Few paragraphs that define what a goal pile is for example. Great game but the difficulty setting doesn’t play better it just adjusts the randomness to benefit of the computer player. Eg. 10 card runs which it never got in easier mode. Easy mode feels like it plays purely Randomly it medium and hard is essentially cheating on randomness rather than the computer player having better strategies. Ended up deleting it because easy is too easy and medium/hard feels like you are being cheated..DrUnifexVersion: 2.13.6

✓ Used to be a 5 Star App, now it’s barely a 1I’ve had the paid version of this App for 5+years, and the best thing about it was that I could play with one of my dearest friends who I rarely see through the invite a friend feature. We often had multiple games going just because it was such a blast. The last two updates have been crappy, the game was locking up/ freezing mid game, and now THEY HAVE REMOVED THE FEATURE ALLOWING YOU TO PLAY AN OPPONENT OF YOUR CHOOSING!!! I can consistently beat the ‘Spiteful’ setting of the computer based opponent, so why bother.... it’s boring! ✓ Love the game, hate the bugsI love this game and have been playing it daily for years. And for all that time it’s been buggy ....to the point of unusable at times. Lately in order to do Multiplayer I must turn off my device at least once in order to get through the ten games that I routinely have going. If I don’t have time to do that then I simply cannot play. Awful. If there was an alternative app I would be using it. ✓ No longer works!My husband and I LOVE to play this game. However, the HD version will no longer allow us to play a multiplayer game unless we stay in the game; it doesn’t work to play over the web as it used to. I have contacted support on 2 separate occasions. The first time, communication was good in the beginning. However, once I had tried what they wanted (and then some) communication stopped. I contacted them a second time and it took them over a week to respond. I responded with what was happening and what steps I had already taken and I’m still waiting to hear back (it’s been over a week again). We even tried other versions of the game with no success. ✓ Depends on who you play againstThis is a good game, but some players in multiplayer are such sore losers, quitting if they aren’t in the lead. Forget about playing against bulldog1967, 2rock2, jen4kings; they’re the worst offenders. Folks, it’s just a game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Also, some players are so slow, it’s painful waiting for them to make a move. ✓ Developers need to go back to the drawing boardI’ve played this game thousands of times in my lifetime. THOUSANDS. Therefore I’m very qualified to tell you about this game and it’s ap flaws… First of all… your opponent can just leave the game and not finish it and leave you if you’re winning without ANY demerit done to them. Poor sportsmanship is a problem in this game with random players and you get no reward for an abandoned game and they get no points taken from them. They need to fix that. If you leave a game, you should lose 1,000 points for unsportsmanlike behavior. Secondly… you never get the option for a new challenge and have to wait for the clock to expire to get a new challenge so leveling up is ridiculously slow and unrewarding. 3rd…. There are ZERO points awarded for winning a game, only challenges can do that. They need to fix that!!! You should gain at least 500 points for winning a real PVP game! Finally, I’ve played this particular ap game enough to be able to tell that this game is rigged to pick a player who will win. So you can sit and go through TEN or TWELVE turns before you’ll get the card you need. That’s statistically impossible unless it’s rigged. So this game, as well designed as it is, has some serious flaws that are bad enough to make the paid version not worth the price..Can't find themselves!Version: 2.13.6

✓ Good game but…Good game but free version has the most ads and more frequent interrupts than any game I have ever played. I finally gave in and spent $5 for the HD version. I suspect after I did not sign up for the paid version they changed the algorithms to increase the ads. ✓ You lose when it’s programmed!Been playing for years. This is a short, fun game that's easy to kill a little time, nothing too demanding! This is a game that will challenge and keep you playing. I recommend. After playing for awhile, I have to say it’s not like real cards. The computer wins easily at times and you can almost tell when you’re going to lose from the beginning of the game. However there was just an update that has really messed up the turn based online game. It won't bring up my all my games. The icon will show I have 5 games but when I go in there is only 1. Please fix ASAP. Also since this last update you have to click on the left versus the right to get to your next game...ok, but now you have to click in a 2nd spot again to get to the list of ongoing games. ✓ Great GameDon't get me wrong I think this is a great game, but..... in single player mode I think the AI is too biased towards the AI opponent, it seems to get far better runs of cards than you ever do. Have not found to many online players either, it hunts for ages but seldom finds anybody to play against. The iMac version at present does not have any online play which is a bit of a let down. ✓ I'm baaaaack!!Okay, you guys were great, very helpful with my trumpet issue. Thanks for the prompt response with a solution. But.....I've been very busy playing the online option. (love it!!) I keep about 20 games going at one time, and I have to say there are two things I need to bellyache about. 1. While I'm playing away and there are a few on the go at the same time, it's not unusual to be completely thrown out of the game. For as long as this game has been on my iPad/iPhone, this should have been sorted a while ago. Also... 2. It is sooooooooo annoying to be playing out a game and the stupid little pop-up saying its my turn on another game, the darn thing stops me from paying until I reply yes or no. It's annoying and an unnecessary prompt because I can check for myself if there are any games that are waiting for my play....please, please remove it!! ✓ Won’t save game if friend goes offline.I bought the hd version to be able to play with a friend of mine. We are in different time zones so we don’t play at the same time. We’ve discovered that the game can’t invite someone if they are offline and once you start playing, you have to finish the game or lose it. It would also be nice to have a chat box so you could communicate with the other player. I’m disappointed that it doesn’t save the game like my other online games do thay we play. Also when my friend gets the invite it says it is from another friend of mine who never plays. I’ve tried to delete him but the app keeps putting him back. ✓ Mixed feelings about this gameI’ve loved this game since I was a kid, and it’s a go-to to play with my morning coffee. The Daily Goals are annoying. Today’s goal was to play 50 cards from my discard pile. Four hands into the game the Goal was completed. How?!? Why have a goal like that if it will award when it was statistically impossible? ✓ Potential but long way to goIt’s actually a fun & challenging game when the AI’s cards are fair. Played this many times and starting to notice a patter for the AI bot. - Majority of the time you lose the draw at start of the game. Even when the AI draws a low card somehow you randomly get one of the two remaining cards that are lower. - Somehow the AI cards are always sequential such that the AI can run a long stream to clear its deck. But your stuck drawing 3 J’s in a row at the start of the game. - The hard game is much easier than the easy game. In easy mode it’s almost impossible to beat the AI given that it can run a sequence to clear out its deck in a single turn while your stuck with same card appearing one after another. I think major tweaks are required to the random number generator which makes the numbers actually random for both player rather than favoring the AI. ✓ Online has issues but it’s a fun gameI have google fiber with exceedingly fast internet speeds; however, I’ve run into many issues while playing an online game. Often I’ll be winning and my opponent will just stop taking their turn. During this I check my internet connection and I’m still solid so either my opponent is stalling, accidentally disconnected, or intentionally disconnected. After some time, the game informs me that it had trouble reaching my opponent and automatically assigns me a loss. I guess the first one to bail wins!?.B-Rad2020Version: 2.13.6
