✓ Enjoy the game, but it cheatsSeriously. One example. Had two eights in hand, played on. App played a King for no benefit. Same round, played second eight. App stuttered for a moment, then played an eight for a pair. It seems to do this a lot. There is a more often than not scenario where you’ll discard the obvious card to the crib, and then the up card will be something that would have generated more points had you kept the nonsensical hand. This happens in real life too, but the frequency is so much greater in the app. I’ve even gotten to the point where I can accurately guess the up card more often than not..IDontWantAStupidNicknameDamnItVersion: 3.6.6

✓ Awesome game, but one fatal flawGreat game and after playing it thousands of times over the last few years I can attest that the cards dealt are really, truly random. Sometimes the game will get a suspiciously awesome hand but then again sometimes so will the player. Everything seems to fit within statistical bounds. The difference between easy and hard games is not what is dealt - it’s that the game will make stupid plays sometimes on the easier levels such as not playing the third card of a straight or leading with a 5. This would be worth a five star rating, but: If you ever have to reset your device or replace it with a new one then you will lose your history, including your Level. I had worked my way up to Level 60-something over the last few years with an awesome set of stats. Then I had to reset my iPad and am now at Level 1 with nothing but 0’s on my stat board. Looked on the help tab and got this: “Unfortunately, your player level is currently only stored locally on your device. It will not sync to another device, and we cannot currently transfer your level to a new device or restore it if you reset your device or otherwise lose your game data. We apologize for this inconvenience”. Really?! What’s the point of having me logged in to Game Center? That’s a one star deal right there. Maybe zero. I think I’m being generous averaging this into a 3 star review....LPTO57Version: 3.6.6

✓ Great free gameEdit: OK this has now reached a point where the game is now making it near impossible to win. (It all changed when I hit level 8) It either has counter cards to every lay, pulls out a favourable card on the turn for what I have given to it’s box or just pull out a 20+ when we are on the back straight.. if I lay two of the same, it will lay a third. If I lay a third for 6 it will lay a 4th for twelve. So now I avoid pairs as I know I will lose. I am currently only winning 20% of games because no matter what I do to I am countered at every stage. My previous review was 5 star Great fun, does not seem to be the usual “cheating” going on when playing the iPad..Strudders2112Version: 3.6.3

✓ Review updateI had written a mostly favorable review of this app where I mistakenly dinged it for failing to recognize nibs and I’m correcting that after having played several rounds & noticing that it does count nibs as soon as the card is turned up. However, now I find that my iphone is cheating by mugging & double counting runs! I may have to shoot my iphone for cheating at cards! ✓ Good to see in HDUpdate: The card count is faulty, again not something in the original (non HD) version: if you play the very last card of the hand, you get the one point for that, but if you also manage to create another pattern at the same time (15, pair, run of 3 etc) you get robbed of the additional points. A very basic bug to have been missed in testing.  ----------- Plays like the original iPhone version Stats are broken- do not record. ✓ Way to kill familial connections!Shame on Trivial/Wilcard! This used to be a great game, but as of the first of September it will be worth used digital toilet paper. I grew up playing with my dad and grandfather, now that I’m out and on my own the turn based play aspect was a way to stay in touch with my dad and our family tradition of playing cribbage. They made it hard to do with the switch to sending invites in text messages. Now they’re just outright killing it off. Thanks for taking the joy out of a simple game..ShashtohVersion: 3.6.6

✓ No Longer My GameI have been using this once great app every day for many years. My favorite part was to be able to be playing multiple games on a turn based basis. I typically had around 5 games playing at a time. That is no longer available and now you can only play one game at a time live. The ability to link to another player is hit and miss. It can take several minutes for the game to find another player and sometimes it never does. Occasionally, the player it finds declines to play with you and you have to start over. I have been relegated to playing against the computer but would rather be playing real people on a turn based basis. Bring back the turn based game!.Does Anybody CareVersion: 3.6.6

✓ Once great game that is continuing to slide down hill.Like many of the trivial technology / wildcard games one of the main selling points has been the ability for multiple people to play when not connected to data service. While their peer to peer function has been plagued by bugs, when it worked it made this developer game outshine the rest. As of the latest notifications from the developer it seems that all offline multiplayer play is being removed! Indeed it seems that only negative development is occurring on these once outstanding products. Early testing to see how the online play will work has been a worse failure then in prior issue with peer to peer. My wife and I were never able to get it to work. When they finally kill of peer to peer, we will be looking for another vendor or just returning to actual cards..Ferret1964Version: 3.6.6

✓ Scoring problem in current version -wait for a patchPlayed this app (turn-based) with my sister for a couple of years. Recently an issue arose where I led the round with a 9. When I checked back in, the game prompted me to play another card, as if the other player had played, so I played again (a 5, this time). The count for the round showed “5”, not “14”, and showed I only had 2 remaining cards in my hand, while my sister still had all 4 of her cards. She played a face-card and received 2 points because the “count” showed “15” (my 5, plus her face-card). When she looked at her screen (we both have screenshots), she saw her queen, my 5, AND my 9, which should have scored us at 24, not 15. ✓ RubbishI’ve played tournament cribbage for over forty years. The developers of this app have taken a wonderfully simple game and ruined it. The game is deal six random cards and then play these six cards. This app has manipulated this process for some unfathomable reason. The result is it’s both utterly predictable for a skilled player and totally frustrating with unreal outcomes while playing it. ✓ Crashes and doesn't load turns.The app was great before the most recent OS update for iPhone and iPad. Now shifting between multiple turned base games is re-invented and takes too many clicks. Also the turn notification (audio) is terrible and if you turn it off you don't ever know it's your turn unless you stare at the screen waiting. Game was great, now it's ok. I not sure why change is always necessary when things work fine already. Additionally For the past several months when I create or accept a turn based game with my friend we cut the same card when seeing who deals first. Not the same number but the exact same card. Like two 2 of hearts. I reported this a few months ago and nothing. The entire reason I have this app is to continue playing cribbage with a friend that I used to live near. The reason I purchased this game was to play friends with your turn-based games but since you have removed this function PLEASE REFUND ME MY $5.99 ASAP so that I can purchase another cribbage game that offers this option. You should refund all people who purchased this HD version because that is the right thing to do since you no longer offer the service folks paid money in the first place. ✓ A really bad appMulti-player basically doesn’t work - games crash with ‘lost connection’ error at least 2 out of every three games. Players can background the app to force the connection error to avoid a loss, and they do, since the game credits them with a win when that happens. So not surprising that even when it works, you can find anyone to play with. Even the single player mode is not good. Counting points is just an entry field, rather than method for tallying up your points. ✓ Removed the pass and play featureAfter I paid for the premium version the feature for pass and play was removed. So I can no longer play with a friend or family member sitting next to me on a long plane trip.
