✓ Reckless Racing 2I thought the original Reckless Racing was terrible. I found it too cramped, too flimsy and way too repetitive, but nevertheless I decided I'd give the sequel a chance. Sadly though, my verdict remains mixed, similarly to the debut game. Here are my main positives and main complaints: POSITIVELY - - Stunningly amazing graphics, probably the best of any racing game - Great aerial-view perspective offers a good range of options and tactics - Very informative and yet stylish menu - Superb range of vehicles and characters - Much-enlarged array of tracks and circuits with varying terrains - Considerably more realism than the first Reckless Racing NEGATIVELY - - Awful controls are highly unresponsive, particularly at speed - Very buggy; crashes frequently and also jams mid-race - Irritating music, much of which is copied from Reckless Getaway - Way too hard! I own over twenty racing games on my iPhone 4S and iPad 1, but this is seriously difficult - Similarly, eventually gets crushing when you're constantly losing - Takes a little too long to unlock good cars CONCLUSION Reckless Racing 2 is much better than the absymal original, but remains incomplete. Visually, it's a masterpiece, but it's extremely difficult to play with dodgy controls and a large array of commonly-appearing bugs and glitches. 3 stars is reasonable.Version: 1.0.2

✓ What have they done????!!!Instant purchase for me..Reckless Racing on steroids right? Well yes but here's the real deal: - The steering model is now canned.. doesn't matter which car or which settings. - There is no suspension travel in the physics model. So even though you get varying levels of traction on different surfaces, you never feel like you are directly involved in the driving... more like coaxing a 3D car to turn and follow the racing line..still playable but the fun factor just goes out the window. Now here's hoping Polarbit comes out with an 'Advanced' option like in RR1. You know "the real deal - slip slide and rock 'n' roll" mode which adds these things back to the game.. after all the same team made it using the same Fuse platform..Version: 1.0.0
✓ Good game, but.I love this game more than anything, the long career keeps you going for hours, and the cars are fun and good-looking. Enjoy the almost arcade style racing, and ridiculous AI, who always seem mean, but then when you knock them off, you can't help but feel sorry for. The painting system is gorgeous, and the general graphics are stunning, but... THE SERVERS.... OH GOD THE SERVERS. It's become a phrase I use a lot, saying 'this is so bad, I feel like I'm playing a reckless racing server.' The players are always bad, afk or just generally annoying. Can we have a server auto start please, or an afk timer? Maybe even a thing that means you can only get multiplayer if you've beaten 2-3 cups?! It's so annoying, trying 18 odd servers and having 18 ABSENT players. FOR GODS SAKE, FIX THE SERVERS. THIS IS ABYSMAL. Until the servers are FIXED, this game cannot break a 3*..Version: 1.1.1
✓ DisappointedAfter mastering the first game I was excited to get some new tracks and cars, but Reckless Racing 2 seems to be aiming for a simulation rather then "reckless" fun. The first game, was reckless, bumping cars, unrealistic drifting, fast acceleration and ridiculous vehicles, not to mention the hillbilly theme, together it was a addicting and fun game. Reckless Racing 2 at first seems quite overwhelming compared to the original where all you did was choose your car and your track and boom your racing. Reckless Racing 2 implements a career mode that is just to much to be reckless. The actual game play drags on like a turtle race as your car crawls to mere 15 mph and handles like a elephant in mud, the most fun element of the original which was the ridiculous drifting is totally gone. In addition, the jumps are few and far between, and there are no river crossing hurdles like in the original. I was greatly disappointed as I had to shell out 5$ for what I thought was going to be the same experience, but Reckless Racing 2 is anything but "reckless"..Version: 1.0.2
✓ AverageOkay, first the original is better. Number 1 has way more extreme environments with your opponents flying into the sea. This game has been turned into a normal racing game with added lag and frustrating crashes on my 4th gen itouch. Needs more extreme levels and they need to take away the crashes.Version: 1.0.0

✓ Controls suckInitially I was frustrated by the controls throwing the vehicle across the track in a knee-jerk steering style, until I realised that adjusting the sensitivity to 0% made the game playable. For NZ$6.50 I'd expect a lot more....Version: 1.0.2

✓ Great Game but...The handling in game canbe quite frustrating. When I go to turn left I press the turn right button even though the majority of my finger is on the right side. This can get very irritating and I often find myself focusing on where my finger needs to go to turn right.Version: 1.0.9

✓ Awful tilt steeringTilt steering on this version is pitiful. I have tried to adjust the sensitivity to no avail... There is way to much null zone off center.. I can tilt my iPad almost 15 degrees and the car just begins to turn all be it very slowly.. Tilted around 20 degrees and the car snaps violently into oversteer and all I do is fishtail.. Driving straight is almost impossible as you come out of a turn.. Sad really because this version has great tracks and the ability to upgrade and paint your car is brilliant.. I have turned the difficulty way down and stuck with it long enough to purchase the baja truck and rally car and max out all their upgrades thinking maybe the handling would improve with the better cars.. Nope, they all exhibit the same characteristics.. Fix the steering physics or add the ability to adjust the null zone and linearity and I'll gladly give it five stars...Version: 1.1.1

✓ Wiped my statsThanks a lot - Like many others I completed the game with all the cars only to get everything wiped by the stupid update. I enjoyed playing despite the fairly unresponsive controls & bland AI. For example; the whole career mode was spent trying to beat 1 other AI driver (Kim) in the same colored car. ✓ Screen cuts in half on 8Great game when it works. On the iPhone 8 the screen comes up and cuts in half. You can’t get past the character select because the key board is off and won’t allow you to put a name in. I really hope this is fixed because I do like the game..Version: 1.2.0
✓ HmmWell I don't know what they were trying to do with the physics on this racer but they failed miserably . What's worse is the AI cars don't seem to be hindered by the same wonky physics as you are. Hit the gas and slip and slide and get stuck on an object. Since there are no analogue controls you end up using the gas and brake to try to control your vehicle . With the horrid controls this doesn't even come close working and quickly becomes frustrating in the more challenging races . I don't want to turn the difficulty down because of goofy physics . The graphics and little details are really nice but the actual gameplay is just lame . Real racing 2 is still easily the best racer on ios . I actually enjoyed the first reckless better ,even though less 'realistic' at least it was fun . Not that # 2 is close to realistic by any means. No vehicle should lose traction that easy, especially when it's upgraded with better tires , shocks and struts, weight reduction and etc. Lol I'm really glad I waited to try it when it went on sale ;) I'm only out a buck at least ..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Good could be BetterLike the title says, good but could have been better. For 5$ I thought it would've had a little more depth than this. I just finished it and I've only had it for 2 days. Graphics and physics are the same as the first game. I Would have liked to see maybe some different camera angle options in this one. Body damage from collisions would have been cool too. The only thing that's really different in this one from the first is you race for money to modify the cars and i'll tell ya, they really could have done more with that.. ✓ Pooh... Already uninstalled after last update...Seems to have lost some of the charm that the first one had. Where as in the first game sliding was kinda the point, in this one it REALLY kills your momentum; seems like straight-line speed and no swerving is how to win. This is kinda impossible though because the steering controls force your car to fishtail with almost any movement at speeds, and the sensitivity adjustment slider doesn't do much of anything. Although the car purchase/upgrade thing is visually neat, i don't like not being able to sell a car onced purchased. 5 dollars is too high, but i suppose we're paying for all the new visuals and cars and being able to upgrade. Again, doesn't have SOMETHING that the first one had. Was super excited after whole family LOVED the first edition, but wish i would have waited for a sale now. DO NOT UPDATE TO LATEST VERSION!! ✓ Amazing, if it would work.I originally bought this game back when it came out I don't know how long ago. When I say RR3 PPP up on the storefront I decided this would be fun to install and play again, especially on my new iPhone 6 Plus. The last time I played was on an iPhone 4. So, at first it was perfect. Game ran smooth and it looked incredible. But as of recent, which is less than a day later and probably half way through the career, I can't even get through a race or upgrading a car before it just crashes back to the home screen. I've thought about just giving up. Uninstalling, or just buying the new RR3. But, my fear is that if this tried and true game doesn't work. Why would I want to buy the new one. ✓ Controls are a let downIt's a great game with lovely graphics and loads of content. My biggest complaint is it doesn't have the same fun factor as the original. As you progress and the cars get faster, the controls really start to let the game down. The steering buttons are too small and it's all too easy to miss them and lose a race. The tilt controls are quite literally unplayable and I've never cared for half steering wheels. Personally I'd like to see an analogue type stick for the steering. Other than the controls I can't find anything else to complain about really, but the controls are a major issue for me and so I can only rate the game as 3 stars....Version: 1.0.2
✓ Last update deleted hours and hours of played game timeI played this game quite a bit. Its fun, until they rushed out an unimportant update. Would have been a 4 star game, but the most recent update deleted all my progress (I had pretty much finished the whole game). Just plain sloppy dev work, especially when the update was so minor. Just a little bit of QA and testing goes a long way. Then they updated gain fixing the issue from happening to anyone that hasnt allready updated. When I went into the game I got a message saying sorry and they will send in game money soon. But will it be enough to buy every upgrade that I had on all those cars? ✓ Id rather play reckless racing 1This game is cool, the graphics are defanitly a step up from reckless racing 1. The garage is a nice new touch. But.... The controls, they dont feel right (compared to first game) and quite frankly, this is nowhere near as fun as the first because it is alot more realistic. Drifting around corners in the first game was incredably fun, but sadly u cannot drift very well at all in this game, which i think is stupid. I think an update is needed so that this is more like the first game, because ive played two levels and havent touched it since. By the contents, I would value at free or 0.69p. Not 2.99. Secondly the steering. Those of you who know that the first reckless racing, steering was what made it an epic game. Without the great steering ability it's just any old racing game. Now it is that. Even when I put the steering on 100 percent you can hardly steer and everyone overtakes you on bends. I think polar it should seriously think about an update for this game because it definitely deserves one. However on the good side of things, I think the games career mode is a fabulous input from the original. Also more cars, tracks have been a good bonus feature too. ✓ Last update deleted my save gameMy previous review for this was a three star, as it's a technically good game on many levels, but let down by a very slow and dull first few hours, overly long and confusing tracks, and aggressive AI. However I've had to downgrade my review to a one star, as the latest update deleted by save game. As the saves are local and not in iCloud (a good reason if ever there was one for lazy developers to finally get off their backsides and support iCloud), then once a save is gone, it's gone for good. ✓ Not as fun as the first oneI love the first Reckless Racing and the whole southern theme, but this sequel is way too different to even call it that. It should have been called Reckless Rally or something different. The game is ok, but the car I have so far doesn't handle anything like in the previous games. It feels more sluggish and when turning it looses too much momentum and doesn't give you the feeling of going recklessly fast like the cars did in the first Reckless Racing game. This is still a fun game, but if you are expecting more of the same funny southern theme, music and awesome handling that made the first game such a success, you'll be disappointed like me..Version: 1.0.0
