✓ Fix controlsControl scheme is terrible! The tiny arrows I have to push fluently is more of a challenge than the game it self!!! I died more times due to the fact that I "missed the arrow button" with my finger than I actually died for a legit reason. ✓ Was once a gem that has turned to trashThis used to be one of my favorite mobile games to play back in middle school. It recently popped back into my memory and I was excited to see it was on the App Store still. After downloading it and playing my trial, I have come to the decision to never play this again. What once was a fun game I could spend hours on has turned into garbage adware used to do nothing but push a subscription service. Not to mention the awful controls and constant pop ups that cover the arrows so you can’t move and you die faster. Don’t waste your time. It’s not worth it..Version: 1.2.46
✓ Great game but...... Brilliant retro style game but the ambush mode needs to be fixed/made fairer, because the enemy's spawn directly next to you killing you without you seeing them! Plus need more customisable controls because they're so far apart and small you hit the gap between leading to deaths due to badly placed controls! Please give option to move controls freely around and sort out the ambush mode! Otherwise addictive!!!.Version: 1.1

✓ Horrendous ControlsThe game itself has some great ideas; however, it is let down by the incredibly horrendous controls. The game can keep the A & B buttons where they are, but a virtual joystick needs to appear wherever your left finger lands, ala Dragon Fantasy. A shame, really. ✓ Controls are brokenAbility to reposition and resize buttons would be a great boon to players. Movement buttons are too far apart when they do work...but they tend to lock up and get stuck (causing the player to move without even pressing the button) when theyre not being completely unresponsive. Game doesnt seem to handle simultaneous screen taps correctly and doing so randomly brings up the menu if pushed the wrong way causing you to accidentally go to title screen. Game is practically unplayable...very surprising as Nuclear Throne, GunGodz, and Luftrausers are excellent games..Version: 1.1.6
✓ Way too hard.I am clearly not good enough at games to find this any fun. There are way too many enemies and the controls are not perfect (and they need to be when something is this difficult). To progress in the game I need to collect 25 crates. The most I have ever got is 17 And I usually get between 4 and 7. ✓ Needs bigger buttonsFor the lowest difficulty level the controls are ok, but as it ramps up they will fail. Great game though, really fun. Please launch an update with button options UPDATE: at this very day and age, it amazes me that such a great game has not been updated to newer and bigger screen formats. Huge waste. I'm lowering the score because, though I like this game, just can't stand this. The black borders and the still tiny buttons are major setbacks. ✓ Needs better controlsPotentially a very good game but hampered by poor controls. So many times I've been killed because its not registered me changing direction. Maybe if there was an option to move the control zones it would be better (might just be the size of my hands) Also the collision detection seems very unforgiving. For a game that's pretty difficult to begin with it seems harsh and unfair to further penalize you when it looks as though you actually avoided the enemy Anyway, fix these things and it's a 5 star game but for now it's not quite there.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Addictive gameplay let down by cheap implementationAs said by others, the enemy collision detection is frustratingly off! At times it would seem u can easily pass an enemy or come within close distance, and ul unexpectedly die as a result of getting too close even though u dont actually touch the enemy! Needs to be fixed asap, it seems that the game does everything it can to make things harder for u. Sometimes the jump or shoot buttons get stuck or unresponsive, but this is rare. The music & sound effects r also quite bad, they quickly get annoying and make u want to mute. some more upbeat music and retro sound effects would be nice, the current ones sound like a mosquito buzzing around in an unorganized garage band music. Finally, the different game modes are cheap! there all basically the same thing just different enemy spawning. How about a game mode where u can only choose 1 weapon? Anything else just to mix the gameplay up a little. It is still addictive how it is, but without a content and tweak update it will slowly die down and be forgotten..Version: 1.1

✓ Fun Game filled with empty promisesThis is one of my favorite apps but it needs a lot more than 3 maps, 13 weapons, 5 characters, and 3 similar game modes to justify 2$. I would love there to be challenges, bosses (1 for each stage), new stages, and more weapons. All things the developer promised but never provided. ✓ Fantastic game virtually unplayable on an iPhone 5Super Crate Box would be an unqualified five-star app if I were playing it on an older iPhone screen. However, since it hasn't been updated for the iPhone 5's display, it is nearly impossible to control properly. Even if the playing screen's ratio stays the same, it needs an update to move the controls to the edge of the screen. If you have an iPhone 4S or earlier model, the game is fast and frantic and addictive. If you have a 5, it's completely frustrating. Even WITH the 5's screen, I still find myself drawn to it, but it's hell on my fingers..Version: 1.1.6

✓ Interesting concept but terrible controlsThe concept is great and the animation is fluid. Game play is impossibly frustrating with the current touch control scheme. I wish I could've known this before spending two dollars. My fingers kept slipping off the tiny control button touch sensitive patches. Simply having the button touch sensitive services be larger squares that extend into the corners and to the bottom of the screen would probably help a lot. Pretty much impossible to get by 2nd level due to bad controls and crazy hard spawns combined with useless random drops of crates. You rush to get what is a crapshoot weapon usually worse than what you hold. Advancement of weapons based on total crates usually gives you a weapon you don't even want and can't control when you stinkin even get it! ✓ Abandoned.This was a wonderful premium game. The developers made all sort of promises about regular updates and then quickly abandoned the game. Even though it came out after the iPhone 5, they never bothered to support its resolution. Their last update note from 6 years ago been apologizes for the delay... Now the game has been resurrected as part of a subscription service. If you had bought the game back when it was premium, after wading through a bunch of pop ups, you can “unlock” the game for free. While the game does fill the screen of modern iPhones, unfortunately the buttons are very poorly placed and are not moveable..Version: 1.2.12

Bought it years ago on an old ipod touch and was really disappointed when it was never updated for ios8 (i think), so I was really excited to see it back on the app store after all this time. However, this port is atrocious. Gameclub has ruined this game with distractions, bad UI, a truly egregious subscription fee, and meaningless objectives. How are you supposed to play the game when buttons are locked in a location where your thumbs physically block the screen? Why would I want to sit through literally minutes of meaningless pop ups and social features after death when it used to be an instant restart? How come without a $25 subscription fee I’m subjected to both ads AND a 7 minute trial period? I've played the game on other platforms so I can vouch for its entertainment value. ✓ Desperately Needs Full ScreenSuper Crate Box is one of my favorite games for iOS but ever since I upgrades to a bigger device, it feels empty. I cannot handle playing Super Crate Box knowing that the developers could take advantage of the bigger devices' screen size to make the action bigger. Even if you can put an arcade-y picture of Super Crate Box in those black, empty sides, it would be appreciated. Super Crate Box is utterly amazing and addicting but it NEEDS 5th generation screen support! P.s: On PC, the icon is a crate. It requires much quicker responses than tiny buttons on a touch screen will manage. Your thumbs obscure a good part of the map, and I found myself repeatedly going the wrong direction or jumping instead of firing (and vice versa). Too often the buttons don't feel responsive on every hit or it actually registers the wrong button press (I seem to hit start randomly when pushing certain button combinations). ✓ Unsuited to the formatI love the PC version of this game, but was surprised to hear it was being ported to iOS, as it's a game that's fundamentally reliant on responsive controls. The developers have solved this by... well, they haven't at all actually. Jumping is hit and miss, firing without autofire is cumbersome and the virtual buttons obscure about a third of the playing field. The absurdly glowing reviews from several "pro" sites prove once again that most iOS reviewers wouldn't know a good arcade game if it ate their grandmother and shat her skeleton through the windscreen of their car. This needs to be addressed because the later levels are unplayable. Nothing of value was added to the game once it went to Game Club. Achievements were removed and nothing was added.
