✓ Annoying to start but GREAT once you get goingHad to give it 4/5 stars because it was annoying to start. The initial start up for the first payment was a bit annoying (to say the least) but once you get it going going, it's great. I usually use the Cash app, but Google Wallet is FREE to receive funds right away. Owning a business, this allows me to collect funds as a business transaction in case I want to use it for tax filing without an additional fee. I collect payments from clients and issue bonuses for employees without having to file it on their check stubs (avoiding their tax burden)..Tammi511Version: 21.5.23

✓ Love it...butSo I really love this app. Like everything about it to the point that I got other people to download it. But now I’m having a problem. Every time I try to add a bank or card to my account to send or receive money the app crashes. So now I have no way to retrieve my money because they got rid of the google wallet card (yes I’ve had my account for that long). ✓ Finally easyI struggled and struggled to use other more traditional methods to send cash. It was an exercise in never-ending roadblocks: need the same bank, must have a local ID, reimbursement at the discretion of the local office manager, must be between countries, crazy fees, takes a week, and on and on. ✓ This is so much easier than apple walletWith Apple they have made it nearly impossible to add any loyalty cards to wallet. Google Pay is how Apple wallet use to be when it was known as passbook. Now other than Apple Pay the wallet app is almost useless because you can no longer add loyalty cards manually. Google Pay is so much easier and Google Pay is accepted at more points of purchase too. ✓ Return money slowI can say that this app is becoming more of my go to source for paying people. The only downside was that when paying my brother through this format multiple times. A security flag came up in his side to verify his identity. That’s fine but I asked my brother to return the funds since google needed 48 hours and I had to get him cash fast (which is why I use gp). right away I get a message from google money was being returned by my brother. ✓ Google Wallet now PAY... FREAKING AWESOMEI don’t understand the bad reviews. I had an issue with a theft ID and google put the money back in my account while they investigated the issue. When it was resolved, they sent me an email and told me the transfer would be final. Then I accendently transfered $2,000 to someone and relized it as soon as it happened. ✓ Won’t return my moneyI have used this app several times and it’s been amazing to have but recently I tried to deposit money into my account and the money never came. I contacted google and they asked me to reach out to my bank so I did. My bank said the money was sent back to google 3/21 which was the day it was sent and that they should have it within 2-3 days. I replied to google with the email that was sent by my bank and it’s been over a week now and no word from them. This is $200 dollars and we’re are in a pandemic where people are out of work. ✓ $This transfer stayed as pending for over 12 hours and I was told via google chat (sam s)that my bank had it and waiting for it to be authorized then it will be in my account. Lies because this morning it started unclaimed (google app)and I had to claim and I am now waiting for my back to authorize it and release it in my account. ✓ Google Pay is the easiest, fastest and most worry free way to send moneyI love google Pay over PayPal, Venmo, etc as it seems to be the most straightforward way to send money to loved ones. I used PayPal in the past and too many times people who sent me money checked off the wrong box which resulted in a fee. ✓ Managing MoneyI’ve been using Google Pay for almost of a year. Initially I used it to make small purchases, like morning coffee ad newspapers. Soon I used it to transfer money to my wife - for our shared housekeeping. Again it worked really well. Most recently we asked our several rental tenants, most of which were happy to pay via Google Pay. Now most of our payments and money received is via Google Pay. ✓ Tenant to landlord. Sports bets. Uber. Dinner etc!!This is the best app I’ve ever used! As a landlord with multiple units, trying to catch up with tenants was becoming a real problem. Now with the Google Pay app I’m on top again! Super convenient! Saves me time and money. My trips to the rentals have been dramatically reduced. ✓ I love itI actually like google pay/wallet! It send money fast and free without those fees! Grant it you have to make sure your card is updated! As you get a new card make sure you update that with google pay. Google pay don’t automatically fill in a card for you, unless you select that option! They’re smart but not that smart! So make sure you select a good using card as default! And make sure the card that is selected as default has money on it!! Other than that I’ve never had a problem with it. ✓ Best pay service!I use a few Google products and this was one I just newly added. I’ve tried Apple Pay, Cash app, Venmo and the likes but for me this has outdone them all. I was looking for something to replace Zelle because that’s what I used exclusively the payments were usually instant and free. But I switched banks and I could no longer use zelle that’s where google pay came in and turns out to be even better. The payments are also free which is important to me and instant also very important. I love using this service it serves its purpose well is easy to use with a simple and straightforward interface. ✓ CEOI gave this old app 5 stars after deleting the new app , I tried to send money on the new app for over 6 hours before the new app switched me back to the old app , the person who I was sending money to has had there cell number changed a few times so I didn’t want to use a number , it would not let me put the email added on it , I tried to put the right phone number on it and it would NOT LET ME DO IT , I have sent money several other times through the old one and it would not let me do that either ! ✓ Confused angry people= Bad review for no reason.Every bad review I could find on this app (along with all the other google apps and plenty more!) can be explained by the writer/reviewers lack of understanding in either mobile or payment processes. My entire adult life has been focused on a telecommunications career path. I don’t expect people to have that level of knowledge on this stuff asking that you educate yourself isn’t an unfair request. For example: People complaining about payment processing times... Google is providing the interface for this service but there’s ALWAYS a payment processing company in the background that actually moves money around. It’s a totally different company. Even your bank- uses a third party card processor. I guarantee it. Super easy to set up, super easy to send money (you can even send money though Message)... surely something had to be going wrong. Great way to get money to family members without having to wait for the usual ACH transfer time of 1-3 days. Con’s - when it works, it’s perfect. When it doesn’t, good luck finding support to fix it. Had my sister set up with her debit card and it worked fine. Then she got a replacement card and it wouldn’t work any more. When we tried to update GPay with the new card, GPay kept rejecting it as “not a debit card” even though the card plainly says “debit card”. ✓ The Go-To AppBefore I was a fan of the other cash sending apps, but they soon started charging and then my friend told me about google wallet. I am open to trying the new apps it was hard to get my friends to trust because of security related issues. However, I got one of my friends to use it because we needed to send money to each other quick and all of the other apps had waiting periods to get the funds, but GW was fast and the money was deposited instantly.
