Someone at netgear please read this thank u xCome on netgear, Hire a small app development team and make this app good!! Simple things like integrate the media backup feature more, get ideas from google photos. Have An in app music/video/picture viewer. Fox the weird warping images in the media back up, all images are squeezed or stretched to look square. Have background backups that actually work, make the app look nicer. I’ll give it 5 stars once you have shown care for the product.Version: 2.0.0

Connects to USB Readyshare, but that's itIOS 10.3.2 Recognizes USB device, a seagate 1tb portable drive. R7800 nighthawk. I can log in to the ready share and I am shown the share name, after a very long time still hourglassing waiting to connect. Cannot see any files. I turned on the media back up feature and the app includes a badge showing 897 files backed up, but the feature is unable to login, showing "login failed." I am not able to use this app as designed..Version: 1.5.9

Terrible appI can access everything fine over the app and it even streams ok. The problem happens when you try to watch anything. The screen won't rotate properly and the aspect ratio is all incorrect which to be fair renders the app useless.Version: 1.5.1

App won’t update new filesWhen I add a new picture to a USB drive folder connected the the router from my windows 10 laptop I have to logout of this app and re-log in to see the new file. That gets old real fast.Version: 2.0.7

Complete failure for APPI bought a router due to the advertisement of this capability, the ability to back up data from my phone remotely to a HD. However, this app will allow you to view the router, you cannot view the HD unless you on on another PC, this is not an iPhone friendly app..Version: 2.0.2

Took all renaming phone memoryI had 87g photo library and wanted to free up space. Bought a external HD and started uploading picture my phone said no memory left. Cannot view contents within folders of routerAfter the latest iOS update, this app has been hit or miss (mostly miss) when it comes to ease of access to the contents within the router. I primarily used this app to backup my photo library to an external storage drive attached to the router. After some difficulty setting up the media backup folder, it would work. Unfortunately, since the update, access has been very limited and no longer performs backups. Eventually one or two photos would upload but then it would hang. I have tried reinstalling to remedy this but to no avail. The app does have access to the external storage drive but only the folders are visible and it’s contents are not visible. Even after setting up a previous backup folder that was my original folder, contents are not visible. However, when logged onto the ReadyCLOUD website on the laptop, everything is accessible. Not quite sure what the issue is with the app but once this is resolved, then an updated review will be done. Otherwise, this app is useless to me with no means to provide its backup features..Version: 2.0.0

What are you guys doing?Every time there is an update, you fix some issues and introduce ones! In this last update you fixed the issue of background media backup but somehow reset its state! Now it started backing up around 4000 photos and videos from zero!!! And funny thing, it’s stuck somewhere in the middle and does not upload any further..Version: 2.0.1

Updated to new IOS, now doesn't work.The app won't let me log into my account ever since I updated to IOS 10. I can access when I'm on my wifi, but not when I'm off of my home wifi. It never lets me log in, the log in screen just keeps popping up over and over again. Been like this for months..Version: 1.5.9

What? No IPv6 support on cellular networks?Have had the ReadyNAS drive for some time and the phone app has been hit or miss. First it was just streaming content to my phone over cellular. Then that was fixed. Netgear finally fixed the media back up feature of the iOS app and now I can offload pics and vids without plugging in my phone to my computer. I still don’t trust the app will work after each iOS update. I am just glad it works for me now..Version: 2.0.2

No Longer Allows Streaming and PlaybackWhat the hay did you guys do to this app? Now it only allows downloading, no streaming or playback of videos I have stored on my NAS! ReadyCLOUDThis app is hopeless - you cannot easily access the files and when you do they suddenly freeze for no reason. The app then closes and you have to start all over again. Time to delete this form my IOS device as the frustration is not worth it..Version: 2.0.4

The app that couldn't play anything now plays somethingsOct 23 2018 Oh well pity you can't give this app a negative score. It read the drive once but doesn't refresh if you add more to the drive. So the lack of video streaming and poor development makes this app next to useless. Sept 30 2018 Spotted there had been a update for this app on May 9 2018. So decided to try it again.... Well what can I say, at least I can login, see the folders but it only seems to like mp4 and jpg files. It won't stream movies you have to download them first, says the router doesn't support streaming through ReadyCloud About the only use it will be is for looking at photos. Dec 05 2017.. This must be one of the worse apps and most unsupported one I've ever come across. The use of this app was one of the selling points for their routers. Although it now reads the drive and shows the files and folders it still doesn't play, jpg, mkv, avi or mp4.So if your buying one of their routers to use this app don't bother. 2 years and it is still unusable. Another year and it'll be eligible for the Guinness book of records as being unusable for so long! Oct 21st 2017 After getting in touch with the developer I can actually logon to my drive via the app now. This was achieved after being asked to try unregistering and re-registering. I can now see all the folders but not many files, so it's still virtually unusable. As the person I dealt with has been helpful I'll up the score to 2 stars. Oct 13th 2017 Another great update. Could actually look at some photos before this update but now nothing works. Supposedly finds the router but nothing else. Software developer should be ashamed. So to recap for well over a year this app does virtually nothing, well done Netgear. July 4th 2017 Can't believe that it's been nearly 2 years and they still haven't got this app to work. One of the reasons I bought the d7000 router was to use this app. What a waste of time. Oct 1 2015 update killed this app. Disconnects from router, no longer streams MP4 files and never did stream avi files. If they don't fix then will uninstall as now it is completely useless! After they migrated the account this app actually started to work...... Now they do a update on May 18th and the app won't even open properly. Is there no one left in the world with any expertise? Not great..The app is very basic, only allowing u to open or download/share your files.. My previous (WD) NAS allowed for moving of files between folders, renaming them, deleting them etc. It had a lot more use.. Even kidding into this one takes too long. Shadow of its former self...This app worked great for me until the iOS 11 update. Now, in order to make it work, I have to log out and back in to the app every time I open it. If that is a safety feature, at least make the app support Touch ID. In its current state, it is very inconvenient to use. Also, when it does work, it isn’t as good as before... it is more buggy, often times failing to load photos and the thumbnail function does not work. Please update!.Version: 2.0.0

Various issues but now working at leastInitially app saw my ReadyNas and listed it as a device - but if I try to access anything it just shows ‘unexpected response from server I eventually resolved that after several firmware updates that were challenging to apply for various reasons. Now works reasonably well though there’s a few odd behaviours I am able to create and share weblinks which is useful..Version: 2.0.7

Only works on WiFiWorks pretty good on WiFi. However, when on mobile data the log in function is broken and won't let you log in. Even if already logged in and switch from wifi to mobile you are not able to access any files and it just kicks you out. iOS 10.3.3 iPhone 6s +. When viewing the mobile web page I am able to log in but it's almost pointless because you can't do much on mobile web browser. You can't even view pictures without downloading (which you can't)..Version: 1.5.9

WorthlessSure you can connect to your attached USB drive to view items and such. That’s the extent. From an Apple i-device you can’t upload anything, only view and download from the drive. Would be nice to upload any type of file to the drive line you would on the computer or even Google Drive. Great app but no supportIt's a great app but as with most NETGEAR products, support is non existent! Just click on the get support button and you'll see exactly what I mean. On any other app you download as soon as you click on the contact developer it opens up an email dialogue. But as with everything NETGEAR do, it's just a plan off to their web page to try and find the answers yourself. Very poor customer service NETGEAR. Horrible indeedI can’t believe that I changed my cloud provider from WDCloud to NetGear ReadyCLOUD hoping to have a better service. How disappointing to see that the app work even worser than WDMyCloud. With WDMyCloud I couldn’t connect to the app all the time - but when connected was working amazingly. With this app I can connect with the app - but the functionality is horrible. Loading the content very slow. On iPhone I see 6 main folders on iPad I see just 4 main folders (I don’t where the first 2 are hidden). All the icons are white (pictures), I don’t know if is a pdf or doc file. Works but needs media thumbnailsEasy setup on Nighthawk router and on iOS device. With a tiny bit more work, the app could be so much better. Two major features the app needs are: show thumbnails of media instead of a list, and carry over metadata associated with each photo or video instead of showing time stamp of backup. Slow......I use my ReadyNAS 102 primarily for streaming films, TV and music. This app is the official Netgear app to stream video but it's very slow to the point of being useless and is disappointing. Having been using Plex as a media server on the NAS at home I used the Plex iOS app and connected it all together. The Plex app plays the media almost immediately where as the ReadyNAS cloud app takes ages. Netgear need to sort out what is causing this app to stream so slowly!.Version: 1.4.3

What’s the point?What is the point of this if I cannot upload anything using the app? I see in the picture previews for the app that it shows the individual uploading something to their NAS. Limited capability -please updateI find the app has limited functionality. I can browse to the Readyshare drive attached to my router just fine, and can view files. I cannot rename the files. Pretty key to being able to use this product for me. I can login via readycloud on a browser and rename there, but can’t preview the files without downloading it first. Not a very user friendly interface. Need to add the ability to preview files and rename them in both platforms to make it more usable. Step 2 - allow this app to be used in the iOS file system on iPad, so that I can browse my ready cloud drive through that interface. I can already use Google Drive, Drop Box, and Onedrive that way..Version: 2.0.2

Almost unusable.When I first started using this app, 3 years ago, I was able to access my nas quickly and easily. Now every time I open the app it spends about a minute finding my device then another trying to load the folders on my device. Sometimes I have to close the app because it becomes un responsive after about 2 minutes of waiting. The only time I use this app is when I am not home and want to pull a ebook off of my nas. If I’m at home I either use a free ftp app or hook up to my computer and put what I need on my device. This app and cloud feature was the main reason I bought the readynas device. Well done...... AgainGood work Netgear, one again you take a semi-useless app and make it totally useless. Fantastic new update App doesn’t work at all now. You’re masters at it. Not only that, just like Genie, I expect it will stay that way for six months or so. Very DisappointingThis app worked great for a while, but with recent app updates and firmware upgrades, this doesn’t work with the nighthawk 7000 router. NetGear support is nearly non-existent and slow to fix this, as it’s been problematic for nearly 6 months. Using the app as a way to backup your phone to external storage (a drive plugged into the router) was one of the things that made the router a great buy, and without it, you’re better off going with LinkSys or another more reputable brand. Don’t download the app and get rid of the router - it’s just not worth the headaches..Version: 2.0.0

What happened to the file namesThis app used to be a great way to access our files remotely. The font used to adjust so you could see long file names. Now they just truncate the file name and replace with an ellipsis which is terrible idea. Is there a way to go back to the previous version?.Version: 1.5.3

FAIL! USELESS APPThis app is a joke. The network drive is visible on all other devices and laptops, even on a Mac but when I click on the router in this app to access the drive all I get is ERROR OCCURRED! Can't see my shared folder at all. The same on iPad and on my wife's iPhone as well. Not worth download until Netgear actually deploys a proper functional app..Version: 2.0.2

Suggested EnhancementI was able to save my pictures to the drive I have attached and see any files on the drive and then I added a password to access the drive. Now the app is useless. I have tried to do through the getgear community, but the only response is from other people with the same problem, and it has been a month since I first posted. It is like netgear can't or won't fix a security problem with the app. If it try to access the drive using their web site it words. Don't know why they can't get the app to work..Version: 1.5.9

Severe battery hog!Needs naming and shaming because it remains open for hours in the background consuming battery. Netgear should be ashamed. Apart from this it's features are very basic and don't even allow streaming of media. Overall a terrible attempt.Version: 1.5.8

This app is so bad...Honestly, it caches an old snapshot of the drive contents and doesn’t work when you click to open a file. I had a drive go bad so I pulled it to replace it. ReadyCLOUD still saw the drive as connected with the same cached snapshot. The only way to resolve this was to uninstall the app. I reinstalled once we got a new drive up and running...which ReadyCLOUD can’t find at all... My husband had the exact same issues and just uninstalled the app. The new drive works fine, this app is crap..Version: 2.0.7

Crashes a lotThis app crashes very often. It sometimes happens when browsing files, it sometimes happens when trying to download an image, it sometimes happens when viewing files. Recently, it happened when trying to save backed-up photos to my camera roll. Essentially, I’m unable to do anything with this app 90% of the time..Version: 2.0.4

Does not work since updateThe app used to work fine on both my iPad and iPhone. However since a recent update folders cannot be navigated properly and files cannot be downloaded - rendering the app useless. The error "read: end of file" keeps appearing. I can access everything and download using the web portal, but this is a pain on a phone or tablet. Seems to be a widespread problem according to forums but Netgear support was not aware of an issue when I spoke to them. Sort it out please Netgear..Version: 1.5.1

Pathetically SlowThis app is pathetically slow, so much so that it renders it unusable. I’ve never really been happy with Netgear products so I don’t know why I bought a Netgear router this time. I guess I was in a hurry because a lightning storm electrical surge destroyed the router I was then using. I think the Netgear router was on sale at Staples but I should have exercised better judgment. It just hasn’t been reliable in any way (Nighthawk router) and I shouldn’t be surprised that their mobile app is useless for accessing my files remotely. Frankly, I can’t even easily access my files from a computer that’s on the same network with a Cat5 connection to the router. If you have problems with the embedded software under those circumstances, you know it’s going to be all bad. In short, steer clear of the Netgear products. I’m really kicking myself..Version: 2.0.7

Photos stopped syncingI have been using this app to sync photos from my iPhone to My NAS 314. After syncing few photos, it gets stuck. I have tried clearing the cache and also reinstalled the app. Problem still exists..Version: 2.0.7

Broken since updateThis app used to work now you can’t see any of the folders contents. Backup is atrocious and keeps restarting a file before it gets to 100%. Whoever the developer of the last update messed with this they should go back to the previous version..Version: 2.0.0

What’s going on Netgear?Very poor app, I can upload pictures from my phone onto the NAS but once they are on the NAS I can only view a thumbnail of the picture! I cannot open any pictures on my NAS unit via my phone let alone stream any kind of audio or video media! Before the update I could open pictures & download audio files from the NAS albeit very slow, it did it eventually, now there is nothing! Just an error message! I use my NAS predominantly for Plex & very rarely have any issues with streaming films over LAN or WAN. So if a small company like Plex can make a great app, why does a company like Netgear struggle so?! For such a large hardware company their official app is a very questionable half hearted attempt at what could be a really good app! Disappointing Netgear!.Version: 2.0.0

Absolutely worthlessCan be used to browse and view the files on your NetGear router connected NAS device only. None of the functions to try and work with the file works. Can’t save, can’t share, can’t export/import into another app... crashes all the time. Please fix this..Version: 2.0.4

Media backup hasn’t either since last updateI used to have my iPhone pictures automatically backed up to my ReadyNAS, but this feature hasn’t worked since the last update. The ‘Backup in Background’ simply does not work — it uploads pictures only when the app is actively opened. CrapThis couldn't be a more unreliable, misguided, poorly developed app. mine worked for about a year, and when i mean work, i mean extremely slow and inefficient with poorly guided tools that are barely configurable with minimal options. all i want is an app that syncs with my readynas and helps me get my photos off my phone. that's all. should be simple, right? wrong. it can barely handle 2500 images, as in refreshing them and backing them up without error. and then there's the migration confusion of the netgear account and joining them to the readycloud avcount..... or whatever. i can discover both my nas devises, but i can't access them?!?! come on!!!!.Version: 1.5.9
