✓ Enjoyably hard too quicklyIt's all fun until you reach the second group of missions and it becomes too hard. You'll die several times rather quickly and then be asked to pay to carry on or wait for more lives, much like the way candy crush saga operates. ✓ Fun Game with Glaring FlawsThis game is a really fun bullet hell game, but it has some twists thrown in which makes it frustrating. My biggest problems are the controls. They work fine, but since this is a bullet hell game and you use your finger to move around, it can block part of the screen making it hard to dodge. The game has a equipment screen where you can change out 4 pieces of equipment. That's cool and you can adjust to the mission you are about to take on. The problem is that they also increase your stats and need to be upgraded in order to be good, because otherwise you are flying a tin can which can't take a hit from any of the stronger enemies. In order to upgrade you need money, which you get from FINISHING missions. So if you are stuck on a level you can not gain any money and move forward. This means you have to go back to older worlds or do special missions. The problem with that is that those special missions are hard, and if you have one on a world you need to go back to, you are forced to play it in order to go back. This can make you lose a guy and now you have to wait 15 mins to get him back, and with 4 guys good luck grinding the money you need in order to advance. This game is a fun game with an interesting concept, just the mechanics work against each other to the games detriment. Please fix these problems and make this game something to remember in the bullet hell genre..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Gets old quickIt was a fun game for a bit, story while not great was ingesting and gameplay was fun. However now every 2-3 levels I get a snippet of the story line, which is why too slow. The levels are becoming stupidly hard. Apparently I am meant to be able to dodge a solid wall of attacks with no where on the screen to move to move. Also the bosses repeat themselves, kinda lame. Lastly the black market is a complete joke. I Have managed to buy 30+ boxes from there and have received about 3 pieces of gear that are useful. I haven't received a decent missile item in ages, its all been defensive items. After completing 33 levels on this game I am starting to wonder if it actually ends, if I wanted to grind I would repeat levels..Version: 1.0.11
✓ Great potential, but...This game has great potential, but I feel it is unfinished, and what could make it feel finished wouldn't require it to become a paid-for game. A few of the levels are genuinely just challenging, as they are meant to be. But I notice, once you get to more difficult sectors (I'm currently on 26), bullets have a massive damage gap. Enemies can still deal 1 damage, which doesn't mean much when I have 666 HP, but then I encounter enemies, on the same level, who deal 300 damage per bullet. And they're not 'important' bullets like missiles that it's intended for you to make an effort not to get hit by them, but enemies that just fire a massive slew of them, making it impassible. Toning down the damage plasma (the pink ones) does would be helpful. Another thing is that there are different colour projectiles, and while they have different attributes, they aren't addressed in tutorials. Red, pink, orange, green and blue. The game teaches you that pink ones are plasma and extremely high damaging, and blue ones are ion (stun and stop your weapons), but it doesn't tell you about red, which sometimes sets your ship on fire and can do almost the same damage as a single plasma. Do the other ones have special things? I found that some green projectiles create a status where my ship is a shade of green, but I can't tell what that does. You can have a weapon that seems to cause a similar effect to enemies, corroding. The game doesn't teach you about that, either. I also think that there should be random gifts of credits or gems that you receive as part of the story, not just your daily credit. It would add for a nice surprise every so often, rather than painstakingly collecting gems and credits (that I seem to always be in short supply of). My third gripe is less of a gameplay issue, more of one revolving the items menu. All items either add to your damage, life, or armour, the latter two seem to add up to form your in-battle health. However, it must not work like that. My life and armour are 333 and 440 respectively, but in-game, my health is only 666. Either that is an issue, or the armour-life-health issue is a different ration, and also needs to be taught. Other than those three fairly large gripes (someone previously mentioned the loading time for lives, which I didn't feel like I needed to include here), the game itself is a brilliant concept, has great character portrayal and diversity, the perfect dash of comedy, as well as great character development. The graphics are stunning and flawless, and not even for a free game. Controls are also flawless and I have yet to encounter an issue (however once you get to more sectors, it gets lengthy to scroll to lower ones if you want to go on a cash-run) with it. All in all, if those issues are addressed, I would consider this game one of the best free games of all time..Version: 1.1.5

However, just like everyone else it seems, I'm experiencing a frustrating glitch where elites will disappear off the screen, with the only way to fix it quitting the level and losing a life. But sadly once you get any kind of deep into the game you will slowly realize this app (like 90% of the rest of the game app market) gears you toward in app purchases. The game becomes so incredibly frustrating dealing with OP enemies while you’re still trying to deal with making your ship any kind of stronger than when you start the game off. If you can make it farther into the game then world 6 then I congratulate you. Major changes to the gem and credit system and nerfs to the black market to make it very less expensive to buy an upgrade would make me re download this game again. ✓ Nice but expensiveMake no mistake this is a great game and very addictive. But, it’s beginning to dig deep down into my pockets,,,,, shame really because it has taken the edge off a very good game indeed. ✓ Could be a great game but,It's sad as this game has potential. However, the dev's. set the game up to make money through in app purchases(which are expensive) and a constant barrage of ads. I would spend some money on in-apps upgrades but I can see myself deleting the game because of the ads shortly after. You essentially get 2 lives per level, but you have to watch a 30 second ad to get the second life(or chance, whatever). Some of the higher levels are nearly impossible to complete in 1 chance(or two depending on the strength of your upgrades)so you are constantly watching ads only to fail and have to do it again. You can spend an hour trying to get past a level, but you spend 45 minutes of that hour watching ads so you never get into a rhythm. ✓ Meh...It's fun for about 15 levels, until you hit a point where 99% of the upgrades are poorly itemized and don't come close to scaling with the difficulty. To make matters worse they recently increased the cost of upgrading items significantly, making progression even more difficult and frustrating. The boss fights are the same 3-4 models with the same 3-4 attacks every level, the only difference is the damage and rate of fire, which become impossible to evade & mitigate due to items poorly scaling with difficulty and only moderately responsive controls. You can buy Credits which can be used to purchase items, but again 99% of even these items will be discarded/sold as they are also poorly itemized and don't scale to the difficulty. The story line is abysmal and should be removed. It also pauses the game with no warning during mid-combat (not during an intermission, transition, or beginning/end of a level) by opening a window in the middle of the screen. If you want decent shooter to keep you busy for a few hours, or don't mind re-playing the first 12 levels over and over, than this games for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend. I'll be shelving this one hoping they make some significant changes, but if not if not it's getting deleted..Version: 1.0.11

✓ Was great, but the update has some problemsI really enjoyed playing this game up until the most recent update (1.0.9, I believe). Everything was great, and more importantly, everything worked. Ever since I've installed the update, the game has been horrendously slow and had some weird moments. One of the most common occurrences is that when I'm fighting a boss or a miniboss, they just fly away and go off screen. I lose a life, and all of my progress through the level. It's kinda frustrating to be at the end of a level and the boss flies away, so all you can do is try to kill yourself with asteroids. I've had to do that a lot recently, and it gets tedious quickly. As for the massive slow down of the game, I have no idea. I just know that it takes my pilot a few seconds to follow my finger, and when he does, he either goes too far or not enough. Sometimes he even moves without my touching the screen! I do enjoy the game, and I'm sorry that I had to write a one star review. It was great, but the recent patch has made it completely unplayable. I'd be happy to come back and change it to five stars and talk about how I enjoy a bullet hell game having a plot and good music, but I need to be able to play it first. ✓ Could Be 5 Stars ~ 2 Huge BugsThis app is my favourite Space Shooter genre game ever. Unfortunately, the bugs are absolutely peeving over time; 1) Every time I upgrade a piece of equipment using Gems, then attempt to select another piece of equipment, the buttons on screen fail. This forces me to manually close the app and reopen it every time I go to upgrade equipment. 2) The ships in the shop that cost 3 Cores are unpurchasable. I have obtained the 3 cores requisite to unlock the AKAMA ship, but, unfortunately, the game does not accept Core transactions, instead saying "You do not have enough CREDITS". Credits are not the currency listed for purchase. After running 12 bosses for those 3 cores, I am severely unimpressed. Fixing the core issue alone will get 4-5 stars from me..Version: 1.1.0

But, like any freemium game, the game will get hard enough that it's quite frankly impossible to pass unless yourskill level is that of a Jedi. Not only that, I'm right next to my wi-fi on three bars and it says it can't be found or error. ✓ Not A True RPG, And That’s Its Fatal FlawI had this game once before, but I wanted to try it again, to see if the issues previously discovered had been resolved. In a word: no. The capabilities of your ship are almost completely dependent on the stats attached to the armaments from the crates; if you want a better ship, it will require better loot. You can get crates in a number of ways, but to get the loot FROM the crates, you’ll have to spend the game’s currency - either gems or credits. If you obtain a crate without having the gems or credits to open it, you’ll have to either spend real money to get the amount you need, or abandon the crate, as if any crate not opened is destroyed. Even if you do obtain the loot from the crate, the stats attached are a complete jumble, unless it is rare-grade loot or higher, meaning that the loot you may want to use may not make your ship any more capable to survive. This will mean spending a good amount of time simply grinding for the loot that will have the stats to keep your ship intact for more than a couple of hits. To raise the stats on the loot you get? LOTS of gems; 3,850 of them, to be exact, to get even standard loot to their max level. Without the gem doubler (a in-game purchase), amassing that amount would take longer than it is worth. I have made it to sector 26 for the first time, but the grinding and spending of gems and credits in the hopes that an armament that I want will actually improve my ship, instead of just giving me a desired weapon to use, actually makes the ‘tons of items procedurally generated’ a negative thing; it would be better to simply have a shop that allows to purchase what you want, so you have more control over your ship’s stats/chance of survival, or have a level-up system on your ship itself, so that you have a chance of making it better in between all the crate obtaining/opening. *sigh* I’ve had enough... again. :-(.Version: 1.5.3
✓ Major Issues, Bugs, Etc.First of all, very fun game in it's core essence. But my god, is it truly an incomplete game. Literally NONE of the items, ships, inventory menus work (including the game map). They all render a BLACK BOX. Completely useless - you must click on an item in your inventory to even see what it is. This is definitely a bug, and over site in testing. Your inventory simply does not show any items, and it looks like an empty inventory until you try to check on the "empty" inventory spaces. The ship particles are distracting, as well as the ship placement beneath your thumb. Could use HUGE bug fixes and improvement, if fixed - the game would be a super fun shoot em up space shooter with enjoyable gameplay, but otherwise entirely broken and worthless. Note after playing more; this game is really just monetized for making the dev's money. It's ridiculously hard to beat the second "real" boss, truly took me a week with the 4 lives an hour (or whatever) limit. Honestly, I love hack n slash and shoot em up games, my favorite genre of games to play ... But this game is truly a waste of time. I am disappointed in Armor Games for distributing this. ✓ How to still enjoyPeople talk about how they have trouble upgrading, getting lives, ads, and micro transactions. If you want to enjoy this I’d recommend doing the cargo and bounty hunt missions. But after doing them change the date ahead a day to do another to keep getting gear. That’s the best way to enjoy this game unless the devs come back and make changes. I’m okay with the ads as a way for them to get money. But without changing the dates to get good gear. The game is just gearing you up for pay to progress..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Potentially good...Great visuals and presentation, decent SFX and fast paced. Difficulty increases exponentially though (possibly to drive you towards IAPs). Also found that my finger obscures the ship. A virtual joystick would've been helpful. Also menu glitches mean I can't see new ships or the map yet. ✓ Will you ever come back?I recently found this game in my purchased list and decided to replay it. It’s still fun, but gets boring later in on as stages one after another are repetitive. ✓ Repetitive.For anybody to say this is the most unique game they've played would suggest they don't play many/any games. Certainly not the worst, but 60 chapters in and it's still the same. Same fire pattern, ships and background (minus a slight tint every so many chapters).Each chapter is broken into 6 levels with the 3rd always being a gauntlet to survive and the 6th being one of only a few bosses. On top of this repetition, the only way to realistically progress is to save up your "credits" to have a shot at better gear via the black market (or the bonus cargo missions for 1 less credit if you can make it through alive). From what I can tell, the best gear you can get outside of that is green quality. If it's even possible to get better via normal play, the rate is punishingly abysmal which sort of defeats replaying older levels to grind for it. All in all, it's a pretty solid game but it lacks steady or reliable progression. Would have worked better with a leveling system or a different system for gear. As it is, you can be stuck on a level with all 4 slots at level 5 and 50k gems to spend but no improved gear to upgrade and move on. Of course, if you spend money on IAPs you may have no problems but then what's the point if you pay to win..Version: 1.1.5
✓ Great if you like clicking through inane character dialogueReally not that enjoyable if you like traditional shmups ... Also I don't like the lack of relative touch or movement multipliers. Repetitive graphics. It's ... Ok. But really not that taken away with it. Although I did enjoy the first level somewhat. Didn't like tapping 40 times between levels to get on with the action. But that issue is one present in many IAP games these days..Version: 1.1.5
